Are you actually making healthier choices, or are you just buying whatever wellness trend sounds the most convincing? The wellness world has gotten very good at selling certainty. Peptides, longevity stacks, skin hacks, GLP-1s, miracle supplements, and "expert" advice are everywhere. The problem is that confidence online does not always mean credibility. A lot of people are spending serious money on things that sound scientific, but are backed by weak evidence, half-truths, or marketing dressed up as medicine. This matters because your health decisions should not be based on who has the best abs, the biggest platform, or the loudest opinion. Real performance comes from understanding what actually moves the needle: muscle, metabolic health, insulin sensitivity, smart recovery, and knowing how to question what you are being sold. The basics may not be sexy, but they work. And in a world full of shortcuts, doing the boring proven things is often the boldest move. Dr. Jonathan Schoeff is a surgeon, longevity expert and co-founder of The Longevity Lab who brings more than two decades of medical experience to the conversation around health, performance, and aging. He works with clients through a science-forward, evidence-based lens, helping them cut through wellness noise and focus on what actually supports long-term health, from metabolic function and muscle to peptides, GLP-1s, and skin longevity. What's Discussed: (01:27) Why real medical credibility matters in a world full of online health experts. (04:00) How social media pushed Dr. Jonathan Schoeff into the longevity conversation. (08:13) Why insurance companies have so much control over patient care. (20:09) How influencers can turn weak science into massive wellness trends. (22:09) What mechanistic data really means and why it does not equal human evidence. (28:30) How GLP-1s work beyond the weight loss conversation. (34:31) Why peptide claims can become dangerous when evidence is overstated. (52:13) Why the Wolverine Stack is one of the biggest red flags in peptide marketing. (01:01:47) How muscle drives metabolic health, insulin sensitivity, and long-term longevity.  Thank You to Our Sponsors! Magic Mind: Head over to magicmind.com/jen and use code JEN at checkout. What makes a man worth following? In this episode of The Impossible Life Podcast, Nick Surface and Garrett Unclebach dig into leadership through the lens of Jesus, faith, purpose, and biblical masculinity. Leadership is not just a title, position, platform, or personality trait. At the very least, every man leads himself, and if he wants to lead his family, business, team, ministry, or community well, he has to learn God's way. Jesus did not build by chasing crowds or demanding attention. He built through discipleship, training, transformation, and service.Nick and Garrett unpack the “superpower combination” that comes from truly following God: eternal mindset, purposeful living, and faith in God. A Christian man who sees beyond short-term comfort and into eternity lives differently. He can endure pain, resist panic, act with integrity when it costs him, and trust that God is in control even when the outcome does not make sense in the moment. This kind of leadership is not built on control. It is built on trust, obedience, consistency, and the courage to make the right play even when it requires sacrifice. This episode also exposes three leadership killers: insecurity, lack of emotional control, and selfishness. Insecurity makes a leader needy. Emotional instability makes him unpredictable. Selfishness turns leadership into a campaign to build his own castle instead of serving the mission. But Jesus shows a better way. Because He knew who He was, where He came from, and where He was going, He could take the towel, wash feet, serve, sacrifice, and still lead with unmatched authority. For men who want to live with purpose, grow in faith, lead their families, build with masculinity, and follow Jesus completely, this episode is a call to stop wearing the T-shirt and actually enroll in the program.Get With NuWave Home Lenders By Clicking HereGet a Free 7 Day Trial On The Tailored Training App By Clicking HereJoin a group of likeminded Impossible Life listeners in our FREE Skool community by clicking here.Get the Purpose Playbook by clicking hereGet the FREE Basic Discipline Training 30 Day Program by clicking hereJoin us in Mindset Mastery by clicking hereLevel up your nutrition with IDLife by clicking hereGET IN TOUCHSocial Media - @theimpossiblelifeEmail - info@theimpossible.life

What if laughing every day is less of a personality trait and more of a health strategy? We spend so much time chasing the perfect wellness routine. The supplements, the trackers, the saunas, the cold plunges, the red light, the protocols. And yet one of the simplest tools for changing your brain, your mood, your stress, and your body is something most of us are not doing enough: laughing. Laughter releases endorphins, helps lower stress hormones like cortisol, supports immune function, and can shift your emotional state fast. A real laugh can pull you out of a bad mood, break tension, make you feel more connected to people, and remind your nervous system that everything is not as serious as your brain is making it. In this episode of Habits and Hustle, I share the science of laughter, why humor may be one of the most underrated health tools we have, how laughing affects stress and immunity, and why five minutes of comedy might be one of the easiest daily habits to add to your life. What's Discussed: (00:41) Why laughter affects the brain, mood, and overall physical and mental health. (01:18) How research connects laughter to neuroplasticity, emotional wellbeing, and laughter-based therapies. (02:08) Why five minutes of comedy can shift a bad mood fast. (02:40) How laughing yoga works and why forced laughter can become real laughter. (03:29) How laughter releases endorphins and helps reduce stress hormones like cortisol. (03:49) Why laughter may support immune function, antibodies, and natural killer cell activity. (05:58) Why laughter is a universal language and one of the fastest ways to bond with people. (06:45) Why laughter may be one of the most underrated free health tools. (07:49) Why walking and laughter are two of the simplest ways to improve your mood and health. (08:15) How humor can become a powerful coping mechanism during hard seasons. (15:05) Why finding five minutes to laugh every day can support your physical and mental health.  Thank You to Our Sponsors! Magic Mind: Head over to magicmind.com/jen and use code JEN at checkout. What is the difference between forgiveness and restoration? In this episode of The Impossible Life Podcast, Nick Surface and Garrett Unclebach answer a question many Christian men wrestle with: “I've changed, I'm following Jesus, but my wife still doesn't trust me. How do I get her to trust me again?” The answer is not quick, easy, or comfortable. Forgiveness can happen in a moment because it flows from grace, but restoration takes time because trust has to be rebuilt through consistent faithfulness, humility, and love.Nick and Garrett unpack what biblical forgiveness really means, showing that forgiveness is not earned by the worthiness of the recipient but freely given by the generosity of the giver. When a man truly receives the forgiveness of Christ, he becomes able to extend grace to others. But restoration is different. Becoming new in Christ is a process of growth, transformation, and maturity. In marriage, that means a husband cannot demand trust just because he repented. He has to understand the damage done, give grace to his wife's healing process, and stop trying to control the timeline. This episode is a powerful call for men to walk in biblical masculinity by taking ownership, refusing self-pity, and loving like Jesus even when restoration takes longer than they want. A godly man does not pressure a broken person to heal faster so he can feel better. He submits to God, receives grace, shows grace, and keeps doing what is right. For anyone walking through forgiveness, marriage restoration, broken trust, repentance, or relational healing, this conversation points back to the only foundation strong enough to rebuild what sin damaged: the love, grace, and transforming power of Jesus Christ.Get With NuWave Home Lenders By Clicking HereGet a Free 7 Day Trial On The Tailored Training App By Clicking HereJoin a group of likeminded Impossible Life listeners in our FREE Skool community by clicking here.Get the Purpose Playbook by clicking hereGet the FREE Basic Discipline Training 30 Day Program by clicking hereJoin us in Mindset Mastery by clicking hereLevel up your nutrition with IDLife by clicking hereGET IN TOUCHSocial Media - @theimpossiblelifeEmail - info@theimpossible.life

What if waiting until you feel ready is the reason you keep missing the opportunity? A lot of people have ideas, ambition, and opinions, but very few are willing to move before they have the perfect plan. Ronnen Harary built Spin Master by doing the thing so many people avoid: making the first small decision, trusting his gut, asking who could help, and moving fast enough to catch the opportunity while everyone else was still thinking about it. He did not start with decades of experience, unlimited resources, or a perfect roadmap. He started with curiosity, speed, persistence, and a willingness to figure it out in real time. This matters because opportunity rarely looks polished when it first shows up. Sometimes it looks like a weird grass toy, a product everyone else passed on, or a preschool show created after two brutal years of company losses. Ronnen's story is a reminder that success is built through motion, not overthinking. The people who win are the ones who create momentum, learn fast, build the right partnerships, and keep going long enough for the next big thing to appear. Ronnen Harary is the co-founder and former CEO of Spin Master, one of the world's largest children's entertainment companies, behind brands including Paw Patrol, Bakugan, Air Hogs, Rubik's Cube, Melissa & Doug, and Toca Boca. He is also the author of No Experience Necessary. In this episode, he breaks down entrepreneurship, instinct, failure, culture, partnerships, decision-making, and why not knowing too much can sometimes be the advantage that gets you moving. What's discussed: (02:11) Why Ronnen wrote No Experience Necessary after building one of the biggest toy companies in the world. (05:48) Why a learning disability does not mean a lack of intelligence. (13:27) How Spin Master started with two college friends, fertilizer sales, and the decision to go into business for themselves. (20:46) How one bold Kmart meeting turned into an order for 48,000 pieces and the possibility of half a million more. (27:02) Why bite-sized decisions, momentum, and asking for help matter more than having the full plan. (30:11) Why speed to market and fast scaling helped Earth Buddies beat the competition. (36:56) How Air Hogs became the product everyone passed on before it took Spin Master from $7 million to $35 million in sales. (48:57) How Paw Patrol was created during Spin Master's lowest point after losses, layoffs, and failed shows. (01:02:43) Why the ability to say sorry, debate well, and remove ego is critical in business partnerships. (01:21:17) How overthinking led him to turn down a $100 million Universal movie deal.  Thank You to Our Sponsors! Magic Mind: Head over to magicmind.com/jen and use code JEN at checkout. What if the frustration, uncertainty, waiting, and resistance in your life are not proof that God forgot you, but evidence that He is developing you? In this episode of The Impossible Life Podcast, Nick Surface and Garrett Unclebach challenge Christian men to stop trying to hack their way into purpose and start trusting the process God is using to form them. Garrett compares it to Navy SEAL training: SEALs do not show up to become something they are not. They show up to be trained into what they were already assigned to become. In the same way, God has a plan for your life, and real faith means believing that plan is not just true in general, but true for you.Nick and Garrett unpack what it looks like to let God develop you instead of trying to build your own staircase. Too many men want the promotion, platform, title, opportunity, or breakthrough without becoming the kind of man who can carry it. But God is not just interested in where you are going; He is interested in who you are becoming. Through Scripture, they show that Christian growth requires both God's power and your effort. Faith is not passive. It is taking God at His word, acting accordingly, and making every effort to add goodness, knowledge, self-control, perseverance, godliness, affection, and love to your life. This episode gives men three mentalities for the development process: consider it joy, praise God at all times, and play your part. That means learning to see suffering as training, worshiping Jesus for who He is even when life is hard, and caring more about God's mission than your own reputation. This is where masculinity, humility, strength, and faith come together. If you want to live with purpose, stop asking God to bless your plan and start asking what He wants. When a man becomes submitted and determined, strong and humble, powerful and warm, he becomes the kind of man God can trust, develop, and use.Get With NuWave Home Lenders By Clicking HereGet a Free 7 Day Trial On The Tailored Training App By Clicking HereJoin a group of likeminded Impossible Life listeners in our FREE Skool community by clicking here.Get the Purpose Playbook by clicking hereGet the FREE Basic Discipline Training 30 Day Program by clicking hereJoin us in Mindset Mastery by clicking hereLevel up your nutrition with IDLife by clicking hereGET IN TOUCHSocial Media - @theimpossiblelifeEmail - info@theimpossible.life
Are you trying so hard to sleep better that you're actually making your sleep worse? We're spending more money than ever on sleep trackers, apps, gadgets, supplements, and nighttime routines, yet so many people are still exhausted. The more pressure you put on getting perfect sleep, the more alert your brain can become, which is why something as simple as "counting sheep" can actually backfire. Sleep is also affecting way more than your energy. One bad night can throw off your cravings, weaken your willpower, make discipline harder, and push you toward the exact choices you were trying to avoid. And if you're relying on motivation to make good decisions after a terrible night of sleep, good luck. Your brain is already running on fumes. In this episode of Habits and Hustle, I share why obsessing over sleep may be part of the problem, how sleep quality impacts cravings and discipline, and why exercise, food, and your daytime habits may matter more than another sleep gadget. What's Discussed: (00:53) Why sleep has become the top health trend and why people are still sleeping worse. (01:18) How obsessing over sleep can actually make it harder to fall asleep. (02:22) Why counting sheep may be one of the worst things to do when you can't sleep. (03:09) How processed foods can affect sleep quality, even if you sleep the same number of hours. (04:07) Why sleep trackers, apps, and gadgets may create more stress than better sleep. (05:50) What to do when you wake up in the middle of the night and can't fall back asleep. (06:34) How one bad night of sleep can lead to more cravings and poor food choices. (08:13) Why willpower and discipline get weaker when your brain is exhausted. (09:41) Why women may need more sleep than men and why that conversation matters. (13:49) How exercise can dramatically improve sleep quality. Thank You to Our Sponsors! Are you actually creating opportunity, or are you waiting for someone to hand it to you? A lot of people talk about being entrepreneurs, but very few are willing to do the unsexy part: get on the plane, sit in the waiting room, build the relationship, ask the better question, and stay in the deal long enough to find the angle everyone else missed. Richard Baker built his career by doing exactly that. He did not rely on perfect timing, endless capital, or permission from people at the top. He used structure, relationships, leverage, and speed to turn overlooked opportunities into billion-dollar deals. This matters because the future of work is changing fast. AI is reshaping business, companies are cutting jobs, and more people are going to have to learn how to create value on their own. Richard's philosophy is simple: stop chasing safety, start thinking like an owner, and learn how to manufacture your own luck. The people who win are the ones who know where the ball is going before everyone else starts running after it. Richard Baker is a real estate entrepreneur, dealmaker, founder of Baker House 1921, and longtime educator through Cornell's Baker Program in Real Estate. He has built one of the largest privately owned shopping center portfolios in the country, developed 50 Walmart-anchored shopping centers, bought iconic retail brands including Lord & Taylor, Saks Fifth Avenue, Hudson's Bay, and Neiman Marcus, and structured some of the most fascinating retail and real estate deals of the last two decades. In this episode, he breaks down negotiation, risk, AI, entrepreneurship, decision-making, and why the biggest opportunities often come from seeing what everyone else is too busy to notice. What's Discussed: (01:27) How Richard Baker built one of the largest privately owned shopping center portfolios in the country. (07:37) The family philosophy that taught him how to make money with no money. (11:13) What intellectual leverage means and why he uses brains, relationships, and structure instead of cash. (12:15) Why real opportunity comes from getting off your ass and showing up in person. (19:23) How the power of yes helped him buy Lord & Taylor for $1.2 billion. (23:34) Why big companies miss details and how that creates openings for entrepreneurs. (29:21) Why speed, risk tolerance, and fast decision-making matter in business. (39:17) How he turned the Zellers deal into a bidding war between Walmart and Target. (52:40) The difference between a zoo bear and a jungle bear in entrepreneurship. (01:02:39) Why luck is something you manufacture through preparation, strategy, and timing. (01:07:21) How Richard uses AI every morning to think, plan, and increase productivity. (01:31:38) Why courage, pulling the trigger, and structuring risk are essential for entrepreneurs.  Thank You to Our Sponsors! Magic Mind: Head over to magicmind.com/jen and use code JEN at checkout. What is business actually for? In this episode of The Impossible Life Podcast, Nick Surface and Garrett Unclebach challenge Christian men to rethink money, purpose, faith, and Kingdom impact. Too many people treat business as a way to take from others, even inside the Christian world, instead of building something that serves people and advances the Kingdom. Garrett draws a sharp contrast between living from the Kingdom and living for the Kingdom: one asks, “What can I get?” The other asks, “What can I build, solve, serve, and sacrifice for?”This conversation exposes the difference between chasing profit and creating real value. Garrett explains that the purpose of a business is not just to make money; money is fuel, not the mission. A business exists to solve a problem, serve people, and accomplish a mission. For Christian men in business, the deeper question is not simply how to make more money, build an audience, or grow a company. The question is whether your work is rooted in integrity, faith, service, excellence, and a God-defined purpose.Nick and Garrett unpack what it means to become a Kingdom builder in the marketplace: build something excellent, serve real people, solve a real problem, and be willing to sacrifice when obedience costs you. This episode is a call for fathers, entrepreneurs, leaders, and men of faith to stop making life and business about themselves. If you want to live with purpose, masculinity, and Kingdom conviction, the challenge is simple but demanding: What are you building? Who are you serving? Are you taking advice from people who only sound like they know what they're talking about? Social media has made everyone look like an expert, but a confident voice, a polished clip, or a big following does not automatically mean someone is qualified to guide your life, business, health, or decisions. The problem is that bad advice often sounds convincing, especially when it comes from someone who knows how to perform authority online. Real discernment means asking better questions before you listen. Has this person actually done what they are talking about? Did they do it recently enough for the advice to still apply? Are they giving you perspective from experience, or are they selling you a version of success that looks good on camera? In this episode of Habits and Hustle, I break down why advice has an expiration date, why followers do not equal credibility, and how to be more careful about who you let influence your decisions.  What's Discussed: (00:34) Why everyone on social media suddenly sounds like an expert. (01:09) How the rise of online advice has made discernment more important than ever. (02:40) Why you should only take advice from people who have actually done what they are talking about. (03:54) Why advice has an expiration date and can become outdated. (04:10) How business, career, and life advice changes when the world changes. (06:33) Why calling yourself an "expert" can become part of the problem. (08:16) Why even good advice may not be right for your life or your path. (09:57) How social media makes people sound authoritative, even when they are not. (12:43) Why followers and visibility do not automatically equal credibility. What should Christian men believe about patriotism? In this episode of The Impossible Life Podcast, Nick Surface and Garrett Unclebach tackle biblical patriotism, love of country, racism, marriage, authority, and what it means to live under God's order. As America approaches its 250th birthday, this conversation asks a bigger question than whether patriotism is good or bad. It asks where love of nation belongs when Christ is the supreme identity and authority over every man, family, nation, and government.Nick and Garrett unpack Acts 17, showing that God intentionally marked out the times and boundaries of nations so people would seek Him. That means where you were born, the family you came from, and the nation you live in are not random. At the same time, Galatians 3 reminds believers that the defining characteristic of a Christian is not nationality, race, sex, status, or background, but belonging to Christ. This gives men a biblical framework for loving their country without making it an idol, celebrating their nation without despising others, and rejecting racism as completely incompatible with faith in God.The episode also explores the difference between patriotism and nationalism, why nations function like extended families, and why authority matters in everything from government to marriage. Garrett explains that patriotism is love of country, while nationalism can become dangerous when it turns into hostile us-versus-them thinking. The deeper issue underneath much of the confusion is rebellion against authority and the desire to become the authority ourselves. For fathers, Christian leaders, and men who want to live with purpose, this episode is a call to love what God has placed in your hands, honor the order He created, reject twisted cultural logic, and live as a faithful citizen of both your nation and the Kingdom of God.Get With NuWave Home Lenders By Clicking HereGet a Free 7 Day Trial On The Tailored Training App By Clicking HereJoin a group of likeminded Impossible Life listeners in our FREE Skool community by clicking here.Get the Purpose Playbook by clicking hereGet the FREE Basic Discipline Training 30 Day Program by clicking hereJoin us in Mindset Mastery by clicking hereLevel up your nutrition with IDLife by clicking hereGET IN TOUCHSocial Media - @theimpossiblelifeEmail - info@theimpossible.life
Everyone is trying to optimize their health with trackers, supplements, morning routines, and biohacking tools, but sometimes the basics are still the biggest needle-movers. In this episode, we unpack why sleep, stress, relationships, food quality, and even walking may matter more than the latest wellness trend. We dive deeper into this in the Habits & Hustle Podcast with Shawn Stevenson. We also chat about melatonin, sleep quality, wearables, fat loss, protein, weighted vests, GLP-1s, and why your relationships may be the most underrated longevity hack. Shawn Stevenson is the host of The Model Health Show, one of the top-rated health podcasts. He is the author of Sleep Smarter, which became an international bestseller and has been translated into more than 20 languages. He is also the author of Eat Smarter and the Eat Smarter Family Cookbook. What's Discussed: (02:11) How Shawn Stevenson wrote one of the first bestselling books on sleep before it became a wellness trend. (03:08) Why sleep was the missing factor for clients who were doing everything “right” but not seeing results. (04:20) How morning exercise can help reset your cortisol rhythm and improve sleep quality. (09:29) What people misunderstand about melatonin and why taking more is not always better. (22:16) Why waking up in the middle of the night is not always a problem. (27:28) Are wearables actually improving your health or making you more neurotic? (37:04) Why your relationships may be the number one factor in longevity. (48:19) How sleep deprivation can make you lose muscle instead of body fat. (55:16) Why calories matter, but food quality changes what your body does with them. (1:18:14) The weighted vest study that explains why gravitational loading may help prevent weight regain. What does it actually mean to be a man? In this episode of The Impossible Life Podcast, Nick Surface and Garrett Unclebach confront the crisis of feminized men and the way modern culture, including much of modern Christianity, has softened masculinity. This is not a conversation about making women less or turning men into caricatures of toughness. It is about recovering God's divine design for masculinity so Christian men can become who they were created to be: strong, responsible, faithful, courageous, and full of purpose.Nick and Garrett unpack the difference between biblical masculinity and the passivity often mislabeled as peace, kindness, or emotional authenticity. Scripture shows that men were made to work, be strong, protect, provide, and stand for truth. A feminized man avoids responsibility, lacks emotional control, abdicates provision and protection, compromises morally, and refuses to fight for what is right. But the answer is not for men to attack women or obsess over feminism. The answer is for men to become masculine in the way God designed, because when men become men, women are free to become the women God designed them to be.This episode closes with the questions every man must answer: Will I accept responsibility? Will I master myself? What is my mission? What do I fear? What will I fight for? And will I endure? For fathers, husbands, leaders, and men of faith, these questions are not theoretical. They are answered every day through obedience, discipline, courage, and sacrifice. If you are a man who wants to live with purpose, lead your family well, and reflect the strength of God's design, this episode will challenge you to stop settling for soft, passive Christianity and become the kind of man who can fight, build, protect, provide, and endure.Get With NuWave Home Lenders By Clicking HereGet a Free 7 Day Trial On The Tailored Training App By Clicking HereJoin a group of likeminded Impossible Life listeners in our FREE Skool community by clicking here.Get the Purpose Playbook by clicking hereGet the FREE Basic Discipline Training 30 Day Program by clicking hereJoin us in Mindset Mastery by clicking hereLevel up your nutrition with IDLife by clicking hereGET IN TOUCHSocial Media - @theimpossiblelifeEmail - info@theimpossible.life
Are you counting yourself out before you even give yourself a real shot? A lot of people have big goals, real ambition, and a clear idea of what they want, but they never actually try because deep down, they don't believe they could be the person who pulls it off. They look at other people who have succeeded and assume those people had something they do not, when the real difference is often much simpler: they tried, they kept going, and they believed it was possible before anyone else did. When you start asking “Why not me?” instead of assuming success is reserved for someone else, everything changes. You stop putting other people on pedestals, you stop disqualifying yourself before the game even starts, and you start building the kind of confidence that only comes from taking action. In this episode of Habits and Hustle, I share why the “Why not me?” mindset has made me feel unstoppable and how changing the way you see yourself can change the way you show up in every area of your life. What's Discussed: (00:34) Why we underestimate ourselves and overestimate the people we put on pedestals. (01:16) How the “Why not me?” mindset can change the way you approach success. (01:50) The real difference between the people who succeed and the people who count themselves out. (02:02) Why self-belief still requires hard work, grit, and repeated attempts. (02:46) Why advocating for yourself can feel uncomfortable or egotistical. (04:29) Why people need to stop counting themselves out before they even try. (05:51) Why some people are not lazy, they simply do not believe they are capable. (06:10) The myth that you have to be “special” to achieve big things. (06:50) How believing you are capable can become the thing that makes you capable. (07:10) Why repeating the “Why not me?” mindset can rewire the way you see yourself. Thank You to Our Sponsors! What if discipleship is not primarily about information, curriculum, or another weekly message? In this episode of The Impossible Life Podcast, Nick Surface and Garrett Unclebach challenge the modern idea that Christian growth can be reduced to a class, a checklist, or a faith-based add-on to an otherwise self-focused life. For men who want to live with purpose and faith, discipleship must become something deeper: a life-on-life process of transformation, relationship, obedience, and becoming the kind of godly man others can actually follow.Nick and Garrett unpack why Jesus' command to make disciples was never meant to be separated from relationship. Discipleship is not just learning facts about God or getting better answers to spiritual questions. It is becoming a student, a learner, and a transformed man who walks with others and helps them follow Christ. This is why weekly Bible-based gatherings, Scripture, discussion, structure, accountability, and deep relationships matter. But even those basics are not enough if they are disconnected from the heart of discipleship: a life that has truly been changed by God.The core of this episode is a call for Christian men to stop treating faith like a box to check and start living as examples worth following. Garrett explains that real discipleship starts with testimony: God has changed my life, and I want to help introduce others to the One who can change theirs too. This is the difference between teaching and discipleship, between management and leadership, between passing along content and multiplying transformed men. If you are a father, leader, mentor, or man who wants to make an eternal impact, this episode will challenge you to stop asking only, “What should I teach?” and start asking, “Am I becoming the kind of man someone should follow?”Get With NuWave Home Lenders By Clicking HereGet a Free 7 Day Trial On The Tailored Training App By Clicking HereJoin a group of likeminded Impossible Life listeners in our FREE Skool community by clicking here.Get the Purpose Playbook by clicking hereGet the FREE Basic Discipline Training 30 Day Program by clicking hereJoin us in Mindset Mastery by clicking hereLevel up your nutrition with IDLife by clicking hereGET IN TOUCHSocial Media - @theimpossiblelifeEmail - info@theimpossible.life
Most people know exactly what they should be doing to feel better, follow through, and build the life they want, but actually doing it is where everything falls apart. In this episode, we get into why mindfulness has been misunderstood, why your nervous system can block follow-through, and why awareness is the first step to breaking the emotional loops that keep you stuck. We dive deeper into this in the Habits & Hustle Podcast with Dr. Elisha Goldstein. We also chat about why mindfulness does not mean calm, how to interrupt overwhelm in real time, and why emotional vocabulary can completely change the way you understand your needs. Dr. Elisha Goldstein is a clinical psychologist, author of six books, and co-founder of The Center for Mindful Living in Los Angeles. He holds a Ph.D. in clinical psychology and has developed programs focused on mindfulness, emotional health, and behavior change. His latest book is Tiny Shifts: How Emotional Health Transforms Stress, Relationships, and Longevity. What's Discussed: (02:14) Why mindfulness does not actually mean being calm. (06:04) The three questions your brain asks before you follow through on a habit. (07:39) Why people already know what to do but still struggle to execute. (15:22) What emotional health actually means beyond basic stress management. (16:44) The “emotional loop” behind overwhelm, anxiety, and resistance. (26:19) The tiny shift that helped him move from feeling lost to finding purpose. (29:18) Why motivational quotes do not work when your nervous system is dysregulated. (32:32) How fitness becomes a training ground for discipline in every area of life. (52:17) The real reason discipline is so hard to build when you do not feel motivated. (1:15:34) Why emotional vocabulary matters more than saying “I'm fine.” Thank You to Our Sponsors! Momentous: Ready to try supplements that actually do what they claim? Uncertainty is not an interruption to life. It is life. In this episode of The Impossible Life Podcast, Nick Surface and Garrett Unclebach break down how Christian men can face the unknown without being ruled by fear, emotion, or the need for control. God does not usually reveal the entire plan. He gives the next step. That means walking with faith requires trust in the Father, obedience in the moment, and the courage to move forward without demanding certainty first.Garrett explains that uncertainty becomes dangerous when men put their trust in the wrong thing. If your confidence is in yourself, your plan, your money, your ability, or your need to know how everything will work out, uncertainty will expose you. But when your trust is in God, you can stop chasing certainty and start seeking clarity. This episode challenges men to believe that God has a purpose for their life, that they do not have to win every battle to be successful, and that success is found in living their values and controlling what they can control.Nick and Garrett also unpack the skills needed to become what Garrett calls a “chaos navigator”: courage and faith, emotional control, value clarity, threat assessment, risk calculation, urgency assessment, and decisive action. This is not a soft conversation about feeling better when life gets hard. It is a practical framework for Christian men who want to think clearly, lead well, trust God deeply, and keep moving when the path ahead is uncertain. If you have ever felt stuck because you did not know what would happen next, this episode will help you stop waiting for certainty and start walking by faith.Get With NuWave Home Lenders By Clicking HereGet a Free 7 Day Trial On The Tailored Training App By Clicking HereJoin a group of likeminded Impossible Life listeners in our FREE Skool community by clicking here.Get the Purpose Playbook by clicking hereGet the FREE Basic Discipline Training 30 Day Program by clicking hereJoin us in Mindset Mastery by clicking hereLevel up your nutrition with IDLife by clicking hereGET IN TOUCHSocial Media - @theimpossiblelifeEmail - info@theimpossible.life

I have a bone to pick with the word entrepreneur because somewhere along the way, it became less about building something real and more about having a sexy title in your Instagram bio. Everyone wants the label, but not everyone has put in the time, taken the hits, failed, adjusted, and kept going long enough to actually earn it. In this episode of Habits & Hustle, Shani and I get into the difference between being entrepreneurial and actually being an entrepreneur. We also talk about fake business gurus, online courses, social media self-promotion, and why you need to be way more discerning about who you trust, follow, and pay. Because here's the truth: selling a course on success does not automatically make you successful. If you want to build something real, you need persistence, proof, and the ability to get back up when the first version does not work. No sexy bio line. No fake guru playbook. Just the actual work. Let's dive in. What's Discussed: (00:59) Why the word “entrepreneur” has become the new sexy Instagram bio label. (02:15) What actually qualifies someone as an entrepreneur versus someone who just wants the title. (03:08) The problem with people selling courses on entrepreneurship when they haven't built anything themselves. (04:04) The real difference between being entrepreneurial and being an entrepreneur. (05:27) Why selling a course can make someone a good internet marketer, but not necessarily a qualified business expert. (06:15) How social media creates the illusion that someone is more successful or experienced than they actually are. (07:35) The fine line between being an entrepreneur and being a snake oil salesman. (10:24) Why discernment matters when deciding who to trust, follow, listen to, or buy from online. (12:04) The “do your own research” mindset and why people get burned when they blindly trust influencers. (12:54) How Shark Tank and social media made everyone believe they could build the next big business. Thank You to Our Sponsors! Momentous: Ready to try supplements that actually do what they claim? Click here to get your limited edition Impossible Life "Jesus Won" T-Shirt.What makes a great father? In part two of this conversation with Scott Unclebach, The Impossible Life Podcast gives Christian men a simple but powerful framework for fatherhood: consistency, emotional control, and intentionality. Scott explains that great fatherhood is not built in one heroic moment, but through years of showing up, doing what matters, staying faithful, and becoming the kind of man your children can trust. For men who want to live with purpose and faith, this episode is a reminder that the small things done consistently become the legacy your family remembers.Scott and Garrett unpack why consistency is one of the clearest expressions of strength. A father does not have to be perfect, but he must keep showing up. Church, Scripture, marriage, discipline, perseverance, and family values become powerful when children see them lived out over time. Emotional control is just as essential. A man who cannot control his emotions will eventually teach his family insecurity, but a father who stays steady creates peace, respect, and strength in the home. As Scott says, discipline should never come from anger, and the ability to “let it circle” before speaking can change the atmosphere of a family. The final trait is intentionality, and it may be the most urgent. Scott reminds men that there is only one eternal mission, and that the life we live now is preparation for what lasts forever. Fathers cannot afford to drift, assume they have more time, or let life pass by flippantly. The goal is not merely to raise good kids, but to raise disciples, build a family rooted in faith, and create a legacy that multiplies into children and grandchildren. This episode is a call for every Christian father to stop living casually and start leading with purpose, because the wealth that matters most is not money, success, or status. It is a family planted in the house of the Lord.Get With NuWave Home Lenders By Clicking HereGet a Free 7 Day Trial On The Tailored Training App By Clicking HereJoin a group of likeminded Impossible Life listeners in our FREE Skool community by clicking here.Get the Purpose Playbook by clicking hereGet the FREE Basic Discipline Training 30 Day Program by clicking hereJoin us in Mindset Mastery by clicking hereLevel up your nutrition with IDLife by clicking hereGET IN TOUCHSocial Media - @theimpossiblelifeEmail - info@theimpossible.life
Modern relationship advice is everywhere, and most of it is making your relationships harder, not better. These are the buzzwords that we see spread all over the internet like the misused attachment labels, the "be more vulnerable" coaching, the body count debate, and the love bombing warnings. Sadia has spent years working with couples one-on-one, and almost none of it holds up in real practice. Sadia Khan is a psychotherapist and the author of The Red Flags:The Truth About Love, Trauma, and the Lies Your Therapist Didn't Warn You About, a book built around the 10 questions every therapist should be asking their clients and every partner should be asking each other. She has worked with hundreds of men and women to fix what conventional therapy keeps missing, and her approach has built her one of the largest relationship audiences online. In this episode of Habits and Hustle, Sadia breaks down why your therapist's advice may be quietly hurting your relationship, the real reason high body count damages men more than women, why people pleasers suffer more in relationships than narcissists do, and the four green flags that actually predict whether a couple makes it. This is one of those conversations that will make you rethink every "diagnosis" you have ever given an ex or a friend who's “avoidant”. What's Discussed: (5:36) Why love languages and attachment theory keep failing real couples. (6:51) The therapy advice that is quietly making men less attractive to their partners. (8:38) Why people pleasers suffer more in relationships than narcissists do. (12:43) How honesty, not niceness, is what builds real intimacy. (21:14) The narcissist label and what insisting on it actually says about you. (31:16) The four green flags every healthy relationship is built on. (1:21:14) Why high body count damages men more than women. (1:45:50) The pattern most men fall into when they cannot be alone. Thank You to Our Sponsors! Get your Impossible Life "Jesus Won" t-shirt we mentioned by clicking here. What does it actually take to be a great father? In this Father's Day episode of The Impossible Life Podcast, Nick Surface and Garrett Unclebach sit down with Garrett's dad, Scott Unclebach, to talk about the kind of fatherhood that builds strong kids, deep trust, and lasting legacy. This is not just a conversation about being a Christian dad who checks the spiritual box. It is about becoming the kind of man whose consistency, integrity, love, and faith give his children a foundation strong enough to build their identity on.Scott shares the simple but powerful principles that shaped his family: do what you say, be the same man everywhere, apologize when you miss it, speak life over your children, and let them feel deeply loved. Garrett explains how his father's consistency gave weight to his words, so when others questioned who Garrett was, he could trust what his father had spoken over him. For Christian men, this is one of the greatest responsibilities of fatherhood: to speak identity, model faith, and live in a way that makes your words trustworthy. This episode is a call for men to stop blaming what they did not receive and start becoming what their children need. Scott did not grow up with the kind of father he later became, but he chose to break the pattern, follow God, and build something different. The result is a picture of fatherhood that is strong and tender, masculine and loving, disciplined and deeply relational. If you are a father, want to be a father, or are still healing from the father you did not have, this conversation will challenge you to live with purpose, walk in faith, and become the kind of man whose children know they are loved, led, and called to greatness.Get With NuWave Home Lenders By Clicking HereGet a Free 7 Day Trial On The Tailored Training App By Clicking HereJoin a group of likeminded Impossible Life listeners in our FREE Skool community by clicking here.Get the Purpose Playbook by clicking hereGet the FREE Basic Discipline Training 30 Day Program by clicking hereJoin us in Mindset Mastery by clicking hereLevel up your nutrition with IDLife by clicking hereGET IN TOUCHSocial Media - @theimpossiblelifeEmail - info@theimpossible.life

The most powerful longevity tool you have is not in a bottle or a needle. It's in the quality of your relationships. There's a body of data that's been saying this for decades. Yet, the wellness industry kept focusing on the other direction of wellness. Shawn knows this not only because he read it in a study but because he lived the opposite of what healthy relationships look like first and paid for it with his health. Shawn Stevenson is the host of The Model Health Show, the no.1 nutrition and fitness podcast in the United States, and the bestselling author of Sleep Smarter and Eat Smarter. He grew up in poverty in St. Louis, was told at 20 he had the spine of an 80-year-old, and rebuilt his health from scratch with no money, no access, and no roadmap for any of it. In this episode of Habits and Hustle, Shawn makes the case that we have been optimizing the wrong thing all along. Your culture, your community, and the quality of your relationships are what the largest longevity studies keep pointing to, and almost nobody in wellness is talking about it. He also gets into why GLP-1s and peptides are a shortcut to the wrong destination, what circadian medicine is about to change, and why the healthiest thing you can do today has nothing to do with your supplement stack. If you have ever felt like your circumstances were too far gone for health to even be possible, this episode was made for you. Apathy is everywhere, and it often gets dressed up as wisdom, balance, or being “nonchalant.” But in this episode of The Impossible Life Podcast, Nick Surface and Garrett Unclebach expose apathy for what it really is: a dangerous mindset that keeps Christian men from living with faith, urgency, and purpose. Garrett defines apathy as sitting by and hoping things get better. It is the opposite of being all in, and it shows up in phrases like “it doesn't matter,” “someone else will do it,” “it's not a big deal,” or “I'll do it tomorrow.”This conversation challenges men to stop confusing rest with apathy. God designed rest, but apathy is something different. It is a spiritual and mental disease that slowly chokes out purpose, responsibility, and faithfulness. Nick and Garrett root the episode in Galatians 6:9, reminding men not to grow weary in doing good because there is a harvest if we do not give up. The point is not that men are responsible for everything. God is sovereign. But men are responsible for what God has placed in their hands.Garrett gives three tools to fight apathy: vision casting, purpose compression, and truth. Vision casting helps men see what could be instead of accepting a small life. Purpose compression brings the meaning of your entire life into the moment where you are tempted to quit. Truth, especially the truth of Scripture, cuts through the lies that say your life, effort, calling, or today do not matter. This episode is a call for Christian men to reject passivity, abide in God's Word, and live with the conviction that today matters.Get With NuWave Home Lenders By Clicking HereGet a Free 7 Day Trial On The Tailored Training App By Clicking HereJoin a group of likeminded Impossible Life listeners in our FREE Skool community by clicking here.Get the Purpose Playbook by clicking hereGet the FREE Basic Discipline Training 30 Day Program by clicking hereJoin us in Mindset Mastery by clicking hereLevel up your nutrition with IDLife by clicking hereGET IN TOUCHSocial Media - @theimpossiblelifeEmail - info@theimpossible.life

Your subconscious mind is running 95% of your decisions. Your conscious mind, the part that's setting goals, making resolutions, and telling itself to do better, is only working with the remaining 5%. That gap is why knowing what you should do is never enough. Thais Gibson has spent over a decade building a framework that actually closes that gap. She is a counselor, founder of the Gibson Integrated Attachment Theory™, and has worked with over 60,000 people through The Personal Development School. In this episode of Habits and Hustle, she breaks down why self-sabotage is not what we all think it is, how your attachment style is quietly running your relationships, and the exact process to rewire patterns you have been carrying since childhood. This is one of those conversations that will make you look at your own behavior completely differently. What's Discussed: (00:05) The real reason your conscious goals keep losing to your subconscious programming. (15:30) What your attachment style is actually telling you about your childhood. (29:00) The attachment combination most likely to end in a vicious cycle. (45:00) Why dating a secure person does not fix an insecure attachment. (58:00) That one belief that's quietly destroying your ability to connect. (1:05:00) What limerence is and why people mistake it for love. (1:15:00) The five pillars to rewire your attachment style at a subconscious level. (1:20:00) Why affirmations do not work and what to do instead. Thank You to Our Sponsors! Why do some people seem to win again and again while others stay stuck, frustrated, and confused? In this episode of The Impossible Life Podcast, Nick Surface and Garrett Unclebach revisit one of the most important concepts they have ever taught: principles. This conversation is about understanding the hidden forces that govern outcomes in life, business, relationships, health, leadership, and spiritual growth. For Christian men who want to live with purpose and faith, learning how principles work is essential.Garrett explains that God created an orderly world. Life is not random. Outcomes are governed by principles. Just like gravity, lift, thrust, weight, and drag determine whether a plane can fly, there are principles that determine whether your marriage grows, your business works, your health improves, your leadership develops, and your relationships become fruitful.Nick uses the story of Mookie Betts breaking out of a playoff slump to show how principles work in real life. When Mookie was not getting the results he wanted, he did not collapse emotionally or assume he had lost his ability. He went back to the cage, took hundreds of reps, worked with his coach, studied the feedback, and found the mechanical principle he was missing. Once he corrected it, the results changed. That is the power of a principles mindset. Instead of taking failure personally, you begin asking better questions. What am I missing? What principle am I violating? What pattern is showing up? What can I adjust? This mindset gives men confidence because it reminds them that there is always an answer to discover.Garrett defines principles as the forces that govern outcomes. They do not guarantee that everything will always go perfectly, because God is sovereign and life still includes uncontrollable variables. But principles allow you to use what you can control to influence what you cannot control. When you understand principles, you can become so good with the controllables that success becomes far more likely. This episode also explains why principles give men certainty and confidence. When you know that the world is governed by order, you stop living like every setback is random. You stop blaming God, blaming people, or blaming circumstances. Instead, you learn how to observe, adjust, and keep moving forward in faith.Nick and Garrett also unpack what makes principles hard to discover. Negative emotions, anger, frustration, fear, and a lack of identity can all blind men to the answer. Garrett says that when you are angry, you are often the dumbest version of yourself because you stop gathering data and start taking the outcome personally. When you take things personally, you miss the opportunity to grow. The solution is observation, pattern recognition, and consistency. Principles hide in patterns. You discover them by paying attention over time, repeating the right actions, and removing variables until you can see what is actually producing the outcome. Garrett summarizes it with a simple formula: principles + consistency = results. The episode then applies this framework to relationships. A great relationship is one where both people are better together than they are apart. Whether in marriage, friendship, brotherhood, business, or ministry, the same truth applies: healthy relationships are built on principles. They do not become great by accident. For Christian men who want strong faith, clear purpose, and better results in every area of life, this episode is a call to stop living emotionally and start living principally. God is not random. His world is not random. Your results are not random. If you are stuck, there is a principle you have not yet discovered. If you are frustrated, there is a pattern you need to observe. If you are inconsistent, you may hit the result once, but you will not know how to reproduce it. But when you understand principles, stay consistent, and trust that God created an orderly world, you become the kind of man who can figure things out. You stop hoping life works. You learn how it works.Get With NuWave Home Lenders By Clicking HereGet a Free 7 Day Trial On The Tailored Training App By Clicking HereJoin a group of likeminded Impossible Life listeners in our FREE Skool community by clicking here.Get the Purpose Playbook by clicking hereGet the FREE Basic Discipline Training 30 Day Program by clicking hereJoin us in Mindset Mastery by clicking hereLevel up your nutrition with IDLife by clicking hereGET IN TOUCHSocial Media - @theimpossiblelifeEmail - info@theimpossible.life
The habits that actually optimize your health are not the hard ones. They are the small, low-effort ones you can do without rearranging your whole life. We get sold protocols and programs and things that can feel too complicated or demand time you do not have, so the simple hacks get passed over because it feels too obvious to matter. But the simplest and obvious healthy habits are obvious because they work. When you stack a few of them together, they compound into something that changes your life in the long run. In this episode of Habits and Hustle, I walk through the easy, low-effort habits I do every day that have optimized my life tenfold, even on the busiest days, from how I start my morning to how I trick myself into staying hydrated. Let's dive in! What's Discussed: (1:56) Why start every morning with 32 ounces of lemon water and how that can set up your whole day. (3:33) Why three short walks beat one long walk for your body. (5:19) Why working out first thing makes me sharper and more productive all day. (5:48) The impact of hot and cold therapy and how to do it without a sauna or cold plunge. (7:06) Why weight training is non-negotiable, especially after 40. (8:04) Why having healthy food on hand saves you from your own worst decisions. (8:42) The healthy habit nobody calls a habit: laughing every day. (9:51) The elastic band trick that forces you to actually drink enough water. Thank You to Our Sponsors! What if motivation was not something you waited for, but something you learned how to create? In this episode of The Impossible Life Podcast, Nick Surface and Garrett Unclebach break down how Christian men can live motivated every day by connecting their actions to purpose, faith, and what matters most. This is not about chasing hype, waiting for the right feeling, or depending on motivational videos to get moving. It is about learning how to generate motivation from the inside out.Garrett explains that motivation is a form of energy. Just like physical energy can be built through better habits, better food, better sleep, and better training, motivation can also be built through the way you think, focus, and attach meaning to your day. The goal is not to feel excited once in a while. The goal is to become the kind of man who knows how to bring energy and meaning to every moment. The key tool in this episode is what Garrett calls “zoom in, zoom out.” It is the ability to intentionally shift your perspective. Sometimes you need to zoom in and focus completely on the moment in front of you. Other times, you need to zoom out and remember the bigger story, the bigger mission, and the bigger reason today matters. This matters because most men live by default. They zoom in on the pain, the frustration, the tiredness, the bad meeting, the hard workout, the annoying task, or the thing they do not feel like doing. But when a man learns to zoom out, he can reconnect that moment to his calling, his family, his future, his faith, and the purpose God has placed on his life.Nick and Garrett explain that the first step to living motivated every day is connecting every day to what matters most. If you do not know what matters most, you will struggle to stay motivated. But when you know your purpose, even small things begin to carry meaning. A workout matters. A hard conversation matters. Bookkeeping matters. Showing up for your family matters. What looks small becomes significant when it is connected to the bigger mission. The second step is generating momentum. Motivation grows when you attach meaning to the next right action. Garrett shares how even something as simple as doing pushups in the morning can become a declaration that the day matters. Momentum starts small, but it builds quickly when you stop saying “it's not a big deal” and start treating your choices like they are shaping your future. The third step is defending your momentum. Once you build momentum in your faith, marriage, fitness, business, or leadership, you have to protect it. Too many men waste years stopping and starting. But when you understand how costly it is to lose momentum, you become far more serious about guarding your focus, energy, and direction. This episode is a practical call for Christian men who want to stop drifting and start living with daily purpose. Motivation is not random. It is not emotional weather. It is a skill you can build by choosing your focus, connecting your actions to meaning, and taking the next step with intention. If you want to grow in faith, walk with purpose, and become the man God created you to be, you cannot wait until you feel motivated. You have to learn how to create it. Because today matters.Get With NuWave Home Lenders By Clicking HereGet a Free 7 Day Trial On The Tailored Training App By Clicking HereJoin a group of likeminded Impossible Life listeners in our FREE Skool community by clicking here.Get the Purpose Playbook by clicking hereGet the FREE Basic Discipline Training 30 Day Program by clicking hereJoin us in Mindset Mastery by clicking hereLevel up your nutrition with IDLife by clicking hereGET IN TOUCHSocial Media - @theimpossiblelifeEmail - info@theimpossible.life
When you want to understand someone's success, you look at what they built. The company, the exit, the valuation. But James Beshara says you are looking at the wrong thing. You are studying the fruit when the real story is in the roots. James has built three separate companies to nine-figure valuations before 40, ranks as the top #2 angel investor on AngelList, and has made over 100 startup bets. He is also the founder of Magic Mind and after 14 years of investing and 18 years of building companies, he has learned that the founders who get funded are not the ones with the best pitch deck. In this episode of Habits and Hustle, James shares why he backs the founder and not the business, what he looks for in the first 7 minutes of meeting someone, and why a product that is merely liked will always lose to one that is loved. He also breaks down the science behind Magic Mind, why your coffee habit may be working against you, and the morning philosophy practice that shapes how he makes every decision. If you have ever wondered what investors are really evaluating when they decide to bet on you, this conversation gives you the answer, and it starts with looking at the roots. What's Discussed: (02:53) The roots versus fruits reframe and why copying success usually backfires. (10:14) The 7-minute window that tells James whether he wants to work with a founder. (16:41) Why investors back the founder, not the business, and the 40% likability edge. (25:33) Magic Mind: Why caffeine shuts off your fatigue signal instead of giving you energy. (45:30) The Bezos rule: innovators must be willing to be misunderstood. (1:07:51) What selling a company for less than he raised actually taught him. (1:17:59) Why a product that people buy when it is “ugly” is the only kind worth scaling. (1:28:55) Why running toward failure is how you avoid the failure that ends you. Thank You to Our Sponsors! What happens when life hits you hard? In this episode of The Impossible Life Podcast, Nick Surface and Garrett Unclebach unpack what it means to live from the inside out. This is a conversation about identity, pressure, truth, endurance, and the kind of faith that makes Christian men immovable when the world around them is trying to shape them.Garrett explains that the real test of identity is not what you say about yourself when things are easy. The real test is what happens when pressure hits. Is what's inside of you stronger than what's outside of you? Are you influencing your environment, or is your environment influencing you? That is the heart of inside out living.Nick and Garrett use the picture of osmosis to explain how men are constantly being shaped by the environments around them. If what is outside of you is stronger than what is inside of you, it will change you. But if what God has built inside of you is stronger, you begin to change the environment instead. This episode challenges Christian men to stop living from external validation, pressure, feelings, and circumstances. Instead, men are called to live from truth, identity, faith, and the purpose God placed inside them. Garrett breaks down four major battles every man must win if he wants to live from the inside out.The first is truth over pressure. Pressure tests what you really believe. If something is true, it remains true even when life gets difficult. Christian men must learn to stand on the Word of God, not temporary methods, hacks, emotions, or cultural opinions. Truth does not break under pressure. The second is endurance over results. Many men chase outcomes because they think results will give them identity. But identity is built through endurance. James 1 shows that perseverance produces maturity, and maturity produces a life that lacks nothing. Purpose is not just found in reaching the result. It is formed in the process of becoming the kind of man who can endure. The third is evidence over affirmation. Affirmation feels good, but it can become dangerous when a man needs other people to tell him who he is. Garrett explains that strong identity is built through private evidence: the moments no one sees, the work no one applauds, and the decisions that prove to yourself who you are. Christian men must stop outsourcing their identity to the opinions of others. The fourth is thoughts over feelings. Feelings often come from what is happening around you, but thoughts are formed internally. Temptation, anger, fear, hunger, weakness, and comfort all try to pull men off course. But a transformed mind, built on God's truth, gives a man the ability to lead himself instead of being led by every feeling. This episode is a powerful call for men who want to walk in faith and purpose. If you want to become who God created you to be, you cannot live from the outside in. You cannot let pressure define you. You cannot let people's opinions direct you. You cannot let feelings lead your life. You have to know who you are. Because until your identity is stronger than your environment, your environment will keep shaping you. But when Christ is alive in you, what is inside can become stronger than anything outside of you. That is how Christian men live with purpose. That is how faith becomes strength. That is how you live from the inside out.Get With NuWave Home Lenders By Clicking HereJoin a group of likeminded Impossible Life listeners in our FREE Skool community by clicking here.Get the Purpose Playbook by clicking hereGet the FREE Basic Discipline Training 30 Day Program by clicking hereJoin us in Mindset Mastery by clicking hereIf you're a man that wants real accountability and training to be a leader, click here.Level up your nutrition with IDLife by clicking hereGET IN TOUCHSocial Media - @theimpossiblelifeEmail - info@theimpossible.life
There's a cognitive bias that runs more of your decisions than you do. Marketers figured it out a long time ago. The reason it keeps working on you is that nobody's taught you how to use it back. People have been saying it's a willpower problem for years now. And while willpower is part of it, the real reason you keep falling into the same patterns has less to do with discipline and more to do with how your brain is wired. In this episode of Habits and Hustle, I unpack what loss aversion actually is, why marketers have been using it on you for decades, and how to flip it so it works for you instead. Let's dive in! What's Discussed: (1:53) Why your brain feels losing is twice as hard as winning and what that actually means for your daily decisions. (3:13) The exact tweak marketers use to make you act fast without realizing it. (3:45) Why "you'll feel great if you go to the gym" never works, and what does. (4:55) The reason subscription models keep growing and why you're paying for things you don't even use. (6:01) Why FOMO is just loss aversion with a different name. (8:11) The hidden driver behind why you say yes to plans you didn't want to make. (9:17) The "girl math" confession that explains why a 10% Rakuten reward turns into hundreds in unnecessary spending. (12:03) The flip that turns loss aversion from your weakness into your most reliable motivator. Thank You to Our Sponsors! The most interesting people to sit down with aren't always the ones the world agrees about. Some of the most compelling conversations happen with people who hold their ground and refuse to be neatly categorized by the world. Kevin Trudeau is infamous for a lot of things but what's notable about him is he sold 50 million books, served 8.5 years in federal prison for contempt of court, and walked out at 60 with $10,000 in donations. Kevin has been called a snake oil salesman by some of the biggest names in the media. He's also the man who wrote about ultra-processed food, gut health, and the hypothalamus regulating weight 25 years before any of it became mainstream science. In this episode, Kevin shares the story behind the controversies that defined him, what 8.5 years in federal prison actually taught him about resistance and acceptance, his philosophies in sales and business and how he came back at 60 to build it all again after being banned from infomercials for life. If you've ever been curious about a public figure beyond what the headlines tell you, this conversation is the kind that will take you down the rabbit hole. What's Discussed: (08:42) The two infomercial offers that came in the same day from two strangers. (14:00) The rule every other infomercial host followed that Kevin refused to use. (22:00) The diagnosis at 19 that turned him into a researcher with no medical training. (33:01) The warden who said he'd never seen an inmate happy to be there in 35 years. (56:26) The "Natural Cures" claims that aged into mainstream science, and the ones that didn't. (1:08:36) Why he says the GLP-1 weight loss drugs are built on the same science he wrote about 20 years ago. (1:46:00) How he started over at 60 with $10,000 in fan donations after being banned from infomercials for life. (2:11:46) The two words he says have more power to shape your life than any others. Are you doing all the right things to strengthen your mindset but still feel like something is missing? The wellness space has been selling mindset as the answer to everything for years now. And while it matters, leading with mindset is actually where most people get the order wrong. Because before your mind can perform at its best, your body has to be conditioned for it. When you flip that order and put your physical health first, everything else starts to move differently. Your mental toughness builds naturally. Your stress response changes. The way you show up in your relationships, your conversations, and your business all shift without you having to force it. In this episode of Habits and Hustle, I share why I put physicality at the very top of my pyramid and what actually starts to change when you do the same. Let's dive in! What's Discussed: (3:10) The biggest paradigm shift nobody in the mindset space is talking about. (3:49) Why physical strength is the actual foundation of mental resilience. (5:20) How treating your body as your most important tool changes everything else. (6:04) The way feeling physically strong changes how you show up in every relationship and conversation. (9:16) Why strength training specifically upgrades your brain chemistry and memory. (10:25) How Jen uses workouts to work through her biggest life and business decisions. (12:39) Why saving that hard conversation for after your workout changes how you handle it. (13:56) The first step to taking real ownership of your health and your life. Thank You to Our Sponsors! The biggest threat to a founder's success isn't failure. It's spending years trying to become someone they were never built to be. Jamie Siminoff never followed the CEO playbook. He followed the problem. He built Ring in his garage with a soldering iron, got publicly rejected on Shark Tank, never ran a single team meeting, and still built one of the most recognizable home security brands in the world. In this episode, Jamie shares why the traditional founder playbook is a trap, what actually drives a company to scale, and what AI is about to do to the entrepreneurs who never questioned how they build. If you have ever felt more pulled toward solving a problem than managing a team, this conversation will completely reframe how you think about building. What's Discussed: (02:01) Why "serial entrepreneur" is just a polite word for something else entirely. (05:13) The garage moment that started everything and why he almost missed it. (09:47) What pre-selling millions still couldn't save him from. (13:22) The Shark Tank rejection that became his biggest break. (21:15) How a lunch conversation changed the entire trajectory of Ring. (35:40) The Amazon courting story and why it took three years. (44:35) Why he never had a single team meeting and what he did instead. (51:20) The reason he walked away from a billion dollar company at its peak. (57:18) The wildfire that made him come back. (1:02:10) What AI just unlocked for Ring that wasn't possible before. (1:08:45) Why grit is about to become your most valuable asset. (1:19:46) The one thing he'd tell every founder who's still searching. The same part of your brain behind every bad habit you have ever had is the exact same part that builds your best ones. Which means the traits you have been trying to fix your whole life might be the very thing that builds your biggest success. That connection is exactly what Liz Tenuto, better known as The Workout Witch, lived. She went from posting somatic exercises from her bed during a divorce to building an eight figure business that has helped millions of people heal, and the only thing that changed was what she pointed her energy at. In this third Fitness Fridays episode with Liz, she breaks down the brain science behind habit formation, why HIIT might be working against you, and what her origin story reveals about turning your worst traits into your greatest asset. If you have ever felt like the hardest working version of you is still not getting results, this is the episode that explains exactly why. What's Discussed: (0:00) The business model nobody in her industry saw coming. (1:43) Why she started posting from bed and never expected what happened next. (3:59) Half a million a month and not a single brand deal. Here is why. (6:18) The one thing that separates her from every other somatic healer. (9:50) Why the workout you think is helping you lose weight is doing the opposite. (10:50) What stress actually does to your weight that has nothing to do with food. (13:08) The sequence that makes high intensity exercise actually work. (14:03) Why the easier Pilates class might be giving you the harder workout. (17:01) The muscle nobody talks about that controls more than you think. (18:25) The part of your brain behind every bad habit you have ever had. (19:31) How she turned her worst trait into the thing that built everything. (21:44) Where to find Liz and try her exercises for free. The same intensity that can destroy your life is the same intensity that can rebuild it. The difference isn't the person, it's the direction. Ken Rideout is the world's fastest marathoner over 50, a former prison guard, a former addict, and someone who has never once in his life waited to feel ready before making a move. He spent 10 years taking 50 Percocets a day while making millions on Wall Street and hiding it from everyone around him, including his wife. Today he runs 10 miles every single day, has won age groups at every world marathon major, and won a 155-mile desert ultra he signed up for with four weeks' notice and zero experience. In this episode, Ken gets into the real story behind what it took to trade his darkest habits for the discipline that made him a world champion. He also shares the one race he quit that rewired how he approaches everything, what he tells his kids about fear, and why having no process is the reason he keeps winning. If you have ever felt like your past, your struggles, or your lack of a plan disqualifies you from doing something extraordinary, this conversation will change how you see yourself. What's Discussed: (00:00) Who Ken Rideout is and why his story doesn't make sense on paper. (04:37) Working as a prison guard at 18 while his brother was an inmate. (07:03) The slap that got him fired and the better job that followed two days later. (15:24) How a routine prescription started a decade-long secret. (19:40) The night his wife found him on the floor. (27:25) Moving his family to LA with no safety net and a newborn. (28:01) Why running became the replacement, not the cure. (33:44) What "delusionally optimistic" actually looks like in practice. (36:05) The most underrated skill in business nobody talks about. (40:30) What Ken told his scared son at the baseball game. (41:01) Signing up for a 155-mile desert race with zero experience. (54:18) The marathon times that made the Wall Street Journal and New York Times take notice. (1:05:35) The one coaching change that shaved five minutes off his marathon. (1:10:22) The line about walking on water that stopped me in my tracks. (1:22:10) The race he quitted that he still carries with him to this day. (1:31:06) His daily routine and the supplements he swears by. (1:44:52) The status symbol that's available to anyone and costs nothing. Thank You to Our Sponsors!AirDoctor: Head to AirDoctorPro.com and use promo code HUSTLE to get up to $300 OFF today! A small town ballerina with no business background, Julia Hartz had no guarantee that Eventbrite would work. What began as a bootstrapped startup she co-founded became a 20-year journey full of challenges, including a crisis like no other: COVID, wiping out the events industry almost overnight. But each challenge sharpened her leadership skills, and Julia ultimately turned Eventbrite into the powerhouse it is today before exiting on her own terms. In this episode, Julia shares how these moments shaped her leadership and taught her how to build, scale, and evolve a meaningful business, even when it costs you everything. She co-founded Eventbrite in 2006 with her husband Kevin Hartz and Renaud Visage, later becoming the sole CEO in 2016 and leading the company through its 2018 IPO. Eventbrite entered a new chapter in December 2025 when Bending Spoons announced a $500 million all-cash acquisition, which closed in March 2026, taking Eventbrite private.
