We have a very special guest joining us in the virtual studio this week; Grant Henry aka Stemage, the creator of Metroid Metal! Stemage has been composing metal variations of Metroid's iconic music for over 20 years. While nowadays you'll mostly find him doing freelance work for several projects such as BIT.TRIP RERUNNER and Hextech Mayhem: A League of Legends Story, Stemage is still touring to this day with the rest of the Metroid Metal band doing live shows! Join our discussion with the man himself as we talk about the origins of Metroid Metal and how it evolved into a full band, what we love so much about the music of the series, our hopes and dreams for Metroid Prime 4 and… Dr. Mario? All of that and more can be found in this nearly 2 HOUR conversation! This is one episode you definitely don't want to miss! Visit OmegaMetroid.com! Subscribe! Grant "Stemage" Henry is a composer, a session guitarist and a remixer. In 2003, Grant created Metroid Metal (you can still download all the tracks, just follow the link), and so began his lengthy career in the VGM remix community. Grant and I don't talk too much about remixing, but we focus on a couple of original projects: his original soundtrack for Card of Darkness, a mobile game from the creator of Adventure Time and a solo project he released in 2016 called Narrowband. I loved talking with Grant about (some of) his original music! We also briefly chat about his music for the League of Legends spinoff called Hextech Mayhem.
