Dr. Stenzler travels the world as a guest speaker at conferences and colleges and lectures at numerous businesses, schools, and civic organizations as a wellness expert. He has also been on television and radio shows around the country. Chiropractic Care for Long-Term Wellness Dr. Stenzler joins us by talking about an experience when he was younger that helped him develop his understanding of the human body. In fact, it's not about how you feel about your body, it's about how your body functions. He witnessed someone close to him, who appeared to be the epitome of health pass away due to an undetected heart problem. This set Dr. Stenzler on a mission to find out the difference between health and wellness. His conclusion is that wellness impacts every aspect of our body, including our mental, physical, emotional, and spiritual health. We should do what we can as early as we can to improve our wellness. One of the reasons Dr. Stenzler is such an advocate of chiropractic care is that chiropractic adjustments target your nervous system. Adjustments do more than just bring your back into alignment; adjustments can have benefits everywhere from pain and migraines to your stress levels to even helping with chronic and long-term health issues like asthma and ADHD. DREAM for a Wellness Lifestyle But Dr. Stenzler is also a firm advocate of a healthy diet. And to him, your diet isn't just what you put in your mouth. His list of items to avoid consists of High Fructose Corn Syrup, Hydrogenated Oils, Artificial Food Colorings, Artificial Sweeteners, and Gossip - yes, gossip. Gossip is as harmful and has as negative an impact on your body as all those other artificial ingredients. Dr. Stenzler explains his approach to wellness using the five key concepts he's shortened to DREAM. Diet, relaxation, exercise, and mental wellness are all essential to focus on. He further explains that being in adjustment comes when you have all other aspects in balance; and that it's also how capable you are of adjusting to change. Finally, Dr. Stenzler talks about stress's impact on the body. Stress can come from so many different aspects of your life, whether physical, mental, environmental, spiritual, or something else entirely. Stress's impact on the body is detrimental to all aspects of your health and he urges you to self-manage your stress levels. Do you have a chiropractor on your healthcare team? I'm a firm believer in the benefit of regular chiropractic adjustments. Call the Integrative Health and Hormone Clinic today and schedule your first appointment at 319-363-0033. Quotes “There's not enough consciousness at home. Sometimes I want to look at the parent and tell them to metaphorically or literally look in the mirror. Their kids are a reflection of them and they'll almost always follow the leader. I know that families that live well together will stay well together. That's the first step in longevity.” [8:09] “Wellness is the integration of mind, body, and spirit affecting your visible body parts but also the trillions of cells that make up your entire body. It's the proactive approach that creates physical, mental, social, and spiritual harmony. It's more than how you feel, it determines how you function. Wellness is the lifestyle that will bring you either more or less health, based on the constructive or destructive choices you make throughout that lifetime.” [9:49] “Your nervous system controls everything. Everyone benefits from a fully functioning nervous system. So whether you're a month old, a day old, or a hundred years old, you would benefit the same as everyone else by being checked by a chiropractor to make sure your body is functioning at its optimal level.” [14:58] “Every decision a person makes is ultimately a value clarification. You know someone's values based on what they're doing. What are they spending their money on? What are they spending their time doing? What choices are they making? If their values are not in alignment with what I'm educating them on, that's on them.” [27:32] In This Episode Why it's not about how you feel, but how you function [6:45] The difference between health and wellness [9:30] Why chiropractic care is beneficial [11:15] What your diet consists of outside the food you eat [15:45] What the five keys to a wellness lifestyle are [18:00] Where our stressors can come from [28:30] Links & Resources Get 10% Off Adrenal Calm with Code CALM Get your first copy of Dream Wellness Book for 99 cents PLUS his "Reduce Screen-Use for Kids", eBook & "Digital Detox for Parents", Workbook (Value $77) Find Dr. Brian Stenzler Online Follow Dr. Brian Stenzler on Facebook | Twitter | LinkedIn Find Your Longevity Blueprint Online Follow Your Longevity Blueprint on Instagram | Facebook | Twitter | YouTube | LinkedIn Get your copy of the Your Longevity Blueprint book and claim your bonuses here Find Dr. Stephanie Gray and Your Longevity Blueprint online Follow Dr. Stephanie Gray on Facebook | Instagram | Youtube | Twitter | LinkedIn Integrative Health and Hormone Clinic Podcast Production by the team at Counterweight Creative Related Episodes Episode 2: Beyond The Snap, Crackle And Pop W/ Dr. Calla Jayne Kleene Episode 12: How To Build Children's Health With Food With Dr. Ana Maria Temple Episode 15: Community And Curiosity For Longevity With Dr. Sandra Scheinbaum

Growing up in the large coastal resort town of Bournemouth, on the South Coast of England, Dr. Sabrina Caliendo’s road to Nurture Wellbeing Chiropractic PC has been a long, exciting, and very rewarding one. After graduating from the Anglo-European College of Chiropractic in England in 2000, she went on to practice at The Center For Positive Health in Telford, U.K., where she was a top associate. After two years there, Caliendo moved to Shirley, Southampton, where she joined the team at St. James Chiropractic. In 2004, Dr. Caliendo returned to Bournemouth. It was a homecoming of sort, in the best possible way. She returned to the town she grew up in, with an opportunity to help the people in her community that she held near and dear to her heart. Wave of Life Wellness Center was born and Dr. Caliendo owned and operated the Practice for the next three years. It grew from a generic “Chiropractic Practice” to an energized hub for growth, healing and education.Wave of Life Wellness was Dr. Caliendo’s first Network Spinal Practice. She began practicing Network Spinal earlier in 2004, and made a decision to always work with people to express their full potential, and not just chase pain.Network Spinal Chiropractic uses gentle touches along the spine to cue the brain to make changes throughout the body, dissipating tension and allowing the person to access parts of the Central Nervous System to regulate the body in the most efficient way. This eventually becomes an automatic response and the body learns to self-regulate in profound ways. This work is gentle but extremely powerful. It creates massive shifts both physically and emotionally, and teaches the body to regulate itself from the inside out. This is a very unique approach, as the body actually learns to “self-correct”, and the Nervous System becomes even more evolved. For Dr. Caliendo, it was so fulfilling to be able to give back to her family, friends, and the wonderful coastal resort town that helped shape her. Wave of Life Wellness Center is where she discovered more of herself – her entrepreneurial spirit and her ability to inspire others to want to achieve more life expression. Her love and passion grew exponentially, and she realized that her profession was in fact, her calling and Souls’ Purpose. She chose to live her life in service to others.Dr. Sabrina Caliendo met her husband, a fellow chiropractor, Dr. Anthony Caliendo, at a seminar in Italy in 2005. Sabrina moved to New York to join Anthony, and they were married in 2007. A year later, the couple founded Practice Wellbeing together in Lindenhurst, New York, which is still in existence today. After giving birth to her daughters, Anjali, in 2010, and Gioia, in 2012, Dr. Caliendo scaled back to working part-time, in order to raise her family and be closer to their home in St. James. It was during this time, a desire grew to create a community of health-minded people and have her children surrounded by such families in their everyday lives. And in 2015, Nurture Wellbeing Chiropractic PC was born. Located in Stony Brook, New York, Nurture Wellbeing has become an epicenter for people who want to live their best lives and reach their ultimate potential. It is a center for natural healing through the modality of gentle Chiropractic, and serves the community through education and service. Dr. Sabrina is dedicated to educating her Practice Members, and hosts an array of informative monthly workshops in her “Nurture U Series.” Nurture Wellbeing Chiropractic makes donations to many different charities and supports local groups, because Dr. Caliendo strongly believes in raising everyone up locally. Her mission for Nurture Wellbeing has always been to transform lives through education, inspire passion, strength, knowledge and leadership in the community — Empowering all to embrace a life of Vitality and full expression of health and transformation naturally. She is licensed and experienced in many forms of Chiropractic, including Cranial Work, Nutrition, Chirodontics, Pediatrics, Emotional Release Work, and Women’s Health. She is at Mastery Level in Network Spinal, a member of the New York Chiropractic Council, a member of the European Chiropractic Union, and a member of the International Chiropractic Pediatrics Association. She is a published writer and acts as a mentor to many chiropractors in the field.Dr. Sabrina Caliendo received the “Woman of Honor” Award in the category of “Sciences and Contribution to the Community” at the prestigious Gaia’s Essence Women’s Health Conference in 2018. She will be a Featured Speaker at the conference in September, 2019.“When we transform one life at a time, we are creating a ripple effect to transform many. Each person touches thousands, possibly millions. "When I discovered it, I became a Doctor of Chiropractic right then and there. Instantly I had found my calling". From that point everything pushed Otto to Davenport, Iowa and Palmer College of Chiropractic. "I packed up my bags and drove at 3am with a friend who was also going to Palmer. Driving into the night was a rather symbolic trip for me. I really had NO idea of what I was getting into, or what Chiropractic was, but I knew I had to BE this!" Dr. Janke graduated with a B.S. and honors in research in 1992 and was immediately recruited to practice in Delaware with a company that had 50 clinics. "I learned much then. I learned how I never wanted to practice mostly" he states. "I also had an article written about me and the care we were giving to HIV + peoples and the great results Chiropractic has with them. I also had a letter to the editor stating that I should have my license revoked because of it". In 1996 Dr. Janke moved to his hometown of Cortland, NY in upstate New York, just south of Syracuse. "I had always dreamed of helping my friends and family be healthier. I just followed through on my dream" he says. In 2013 Dr. Janke wrote his first book "You Were Born to be Healthy", which can be found on Amazon.com. "Ever had something inside that you knew HAD to come out? Me too. For me, it was this book." Dr. Janke has sent almost a dozen students to Chiropractic colleges through his 15 week internship he has at his office, Janke Family Chiropractic. Along with mentoring other DCs with marketing, promotion, and practice, Dr. Janke speaks to many groups, organizations, and schools on Chiropractic, health, and longevity. "I love seeing the huge light bulb go off in a crowd when they realize how healthy they actually can be" Janke states emphatically. Dr. Janke was awarded the Beacon award by the New York Chiropractic Council in 2013. This award is the Council's "Chiropractor of the Year" award. Dr. Janke distinguished himself with spearheading the "Chiropractic Health Month" each September with a multiple point marketing and advertising program for all DCs.
