True House Stories Podcast with special guests by Lenny Fontana
TRUE HOUSE STORIES W/ CRAZY P # 090 - PART 1 Todd and Baron formed the band after meeting at the Nottingham University. The band's sound incorporates soul music, disco and house music. By 2002 the band expanded to include bassist Tim Davies, percussionist Mav Kendricks, and vocalist Danielle Moore. Todd explained the origin of the band name: "A flat mate of mine had a record called 'loco pinga' which roughly translates to Crazy Penis, we were going to call ourselves loco pinga but once we told people that, they liked crazy penis better for the shock value.” They were signed by Manchester label Paper Recordings and have since released six albums and several singles, starting with "Digging Deeper" in 1996. They built up a strong fanbase in Australia where they have toured several times.

If you need some inspiration to take the leap of faith and follow your music career dreams, then this is the podcast for you. We cover so much from radio to labels plus business and marketing. It's been a tough couple of years, but Natasha Kitty Katt put the get down into lockdown & set herself up with a green screen & Starship Enterprise DJ set up. She launched herself into the livestream format creating her own unique cut up video edits with her usual style, good humour and above all fantastic music choices. You can catch her livestreams for legendary platforms & clubs including Traxsource, Juno, Quantize, Djoon, & Jackie's Festival, plus her stand out interview for Studio 54 FM on Sirius XM by Marc and Myra. During this time Natasha also focused on producing more works for her Ghetto Disco record label and remixing for others such as Leee John (IMAGINATION), Albertine Sarges, D.C LaRue & DJ Rae. Regarding her first love on the decks, Natasha picked up where she left off and has been lighting up dance floors across the globe with her energetic and eclectic brand of underground disco and cosmic house. She played this year's sold-out Soul Heaven stage at Forbidden Forrest, Brixton Jamm, Playground Festival, Glades of Glory & Night Tales to name a few. Born and raised in Edinburgh into a soul music obsessed family, Natasha was introduced to rare Soul, Funk, Boogie and Rare Disco from a young age. Spotted by the main influencers in the Disco & House scene Natasha quickly took up residency at seminal events such as Southport Weekender / Festival, UK, Suncebeat Festival, Croatia, Soul Heaven, Ocean Beach Ibiza, Pikes Ibiza. Following on from this, Natasha Kitty Katt was soon snapped up by the Defected Glitterbox imprint and is now playing at their Global Events around the world. Matching her meteoric rise in clubland her releases have gained interest with tracks out on: Glitterbox recordings, Quantize, Ghetto Disco Records, Tropical Disco Records, Midnight Riot, No Fuss Records, Masterworks Music, Paper Recordings, Tribe, Situationism (Tom Findlay – Groove Armada Remix), Louie Vega MAW has reworked two of her tracks on Nervous records. She also runs her own label, Ghetto Disco records focused on high-quality disco & house music. Check her out HERE https://www.natashakittykatt.com https://linktr.ee/natashakittykatt

It’s time for some sticky, sweet, but highly sophisticated cosmic-disco-acid-house-pop action, curtesy of the Swedish “Dagfest” project. Their edits and catchy synth laden originals have been released on Paper Recordings and Editorial lately, and their skills as selectors can be checked out on the “Shades of Disco” Compilation on ISM Records. For our LUVCAST series, Dagfest dug out some proper disco jams, house classics and spiced it all up with a batch of their own edits - We’re inclined to say: Spicy! TRACKLIST: 01. To call Chris Massey a jack of trades when it comes to music production, DJing and label work is definitely not an exaggeration. His engagement in legendary clubs like the Warehouse Project or the Electric Elephant festival in Croatia and his productions for Southern Fried and Paper Recordings are among the milestones that recently catapulted Chris Massey to fame. His affinity for "genre hopping" is a big part of the ideology behind his new label Sprechen and his eclectic mixes, of which we acquired one for our LUVCAST series - Drink it in! Tracklist: 01. When your talking about old hands in the British Dance music scene that still hold the credibility to stick to their guns and continue to play non commercial, true house music you need look no further than Scott Bradford. Scott first cut his teeth on the decks in 1989 playing odd club slots around the North East of England but he soon pushed himself to the forefront after teaming up with long term partner, SCOOBY, when they started their first weekly residency at Rockshots in Newcastle. After two years and the subsequent rise of the silly hardcore scene Scott realised it was time to move on and relocate to a smaller venue where only those who appreciated their music fully and the crowd could be closely monitored. They took up residency at Club Afrika in May1992 and the legendary SHINDIG was born. moving into it’s 21st year (making it one of the longest running club nights in the UK) the night now resides at the impressive Warehouse 34 in Newcastle has played host to a who’s who of international DJ talent and has gained a massive reputation at home and abroad. Flash Atkins is a super hero who had his gravy days in the 80s saving the world with his ability to manipulate sound. Unfortunately he's fallen on hard times and can be spotted in the less salubrious parts of London, Manchester and West Yorkshire often stoned or drunk on borrowed money and time. To make ends meet he uses his special powers to remix and make deep disco music for Paper Recordings.
