Ranj Kaler is a name becoming more regular on the global scene. After losing his DJ residency at the start of the pandemic, he used the lockdown to focus on music production. Within six months, he was releasing tracks on labels like ARRVL and Four Candles' Keep Thinking, alongside attention grabbing reworks of Sade and Kate Bush. Since then, he's released music on labels including Capital Heaven and Foxtrot Alpha. His talent has also made him a sought-after remixer, with labels like Hooj Choons, Pangea, and Laika Sounds commissioning his work. In 1998 the first of a highly renowned series of colour-coded vinyl singles appeared in record stores: Orange. Green. Blue. A new production duo were born, Circulation, and they delivered a sound uniquely theirs. Check the past releases on labels from Hooj Choons to End Recordings; an amalgamation of deep tech and moody hypnotic house, it's a sound that doesn't fit into any neat categorisation. They continued their chromatically named ways until 2005 when the duo parted. Now, Paul Davis fly the Circulation flag solo, regularly releasing on labels from Bedrock to Selador. As showcased on this Balance Selections mix, his take on dance music is still as cerebral and mood-inflected as it was 20 years ago.

Hello and welcome to episode 41 of The DJ B-12 Deep Acid House Experience. This show is for October of 2022. We have a very special show for you this month. This show is almost entirely oldskool first generation progressive house, along with trance, breaks, acid and techno all from the early to mid 1990's. I really want to thank everyone for the kind words and incredible feedback on the last show, number 40. It's such a beautiful thing hearing about people loving this music and have such fond memories of hearing this stuff back in the day. It's truly such an honor to play this stuff for you in 2022. For this month's show, I have dug even deeper than last month, and we go in much further. A lot of these tracks came from my personal record collection and a few are pretty rare. This has been one of my most challenging mixes yet to date, as a lot of these older tracks don't stay in time very well, so I put a lot of extra work and effort into this episode to bring you the absolute best show possible. But how did you meet each other, and how did you manage to combine both roots for a joint project? A: We met in Madrid, our home town, over 22 years ago, time flies! Pablo was a young producer and used to bring me his first demos to the night club, where I (Chus) was the resident DJ. Two years after we had the chance to met in person for the first time, there was the coincidence that we quit working with our old studio partners, and we decided to gave us a try. Our musical backgrounds were different as you can listen to on these mixtapes, but from the very first moment in the studio, the magic happened. Some of the top record labels in the world at that moment were right away interested in releasing our music, labels such as Black Vinyl, Hooj Choons, NRK, Yoshitoshi, Shinichi, Nervous Records or Twisted America, to name but a few. We can say that we couldn't expect such a fantastic welcome to what we called the 'Iberican Sound' and here we are 20 years later! Q: Corona crisis is currently hitting us all hard, everyone in a different but also same way. How do you spend your days at the moment? A: We have our studios at home, that's a blessing on these quarantine times. We try to follow a daily routine, working a lot in new music and collaboration projects for our label Stereo Productions and also other ones but without forgetting our mental and physical health. Meditating and exercising every day, trying to be as healthy as possible. Communicating with the people we love, family, and friends has been crucial these days. The only way to go over all of this is together as a community. The music industry needs to go back on its feet as soon as this nightmare ends. Q: Which future projects are on the way? A: We are taking advantage of these no-traveling days, making a lot of music, and focusing on our upcoming album. As soon as these exceptional times end, we'll be back on track, to continue celebrating the 20th anniversary of Chus & Ceballos and Stereo Productions. We started in our home town Madrid then visit Chile and Costa Rica. We hope to begin traveling soon and visit Miami, New York, Chicago, Washington, Los Angeles, San Francisco, Vegas, Barcelona, Mexico, Athens, Lima, Buenos Aires, and Tokyo to complete the STEREO2020 Tour. We are also working on a TV documentary and an extraordinary music release and many other surprises to celebrate this great 20 years together, stay tuned.

У себя на лейбле Outta Limits Стэн до сих пор выпускает подобный материал, только лишь с той разницей, что в 2011 году Стэн решил объединиться с Matan Caspi и в настоящее время они вместе управляют digital-лейблом Outta Limits. Американский музыкант Leko со своим известнейшим треком Conscious Mind, круто ремикшированным другим американцем Noel Sanger, вышедшем на лейбле Tharsis Records. Впоследствии, трек был представлен Sony Music в конкурсе ремиксов на их собственной платформе AcidPlanet. В дополнение к ротации на нескольких международных танцевальных радиостанциях, Conscious Mind поддержали в Top 100 Charts и получил масштабную поддержку от Matt Darey в виде трансляции трека посредством его известнейшего шоу Nocturnal. Испанский продюсер Sergio Fernandez с треком Tokoloshi в еще одном фирменном ремиксе от Stan Kolev. Пластинка вышла на культовом британском лейбле Baroque, который я сильно уважаю. Пластинка вышла в лимитированной линейке лейбла Baroque в далеком 2007 году, а звучит актуально и сегодня с той лишь разницей, что сегодня такую музыку уже не делают. Еще одно альтер эго Fine Taste раскрывается в следующем ремиксе на трек Glistening Heaven от Vito & Dewald. Да-да, эта великолепная музыка написана все тем же голландским кудесником электронных звуков Johan Vermeulen, который также работает под Fine Taste, Global Illumination, Sidesmokers, Chunk & Twist, Dualtone. Вот такая многогранная личность, этот мистер Йохан. Звездный британский проект Cicada с треком Cut Right Through в мастерском ремиксе от DJ Delicious. После хорошо проработанных electro-разрядов и небольшого провисания ближе к середине трека, вас ждет элегантный выход, ровно как и выход из последней ямы - эти моменты заслуживают отдельной похвалы. Очень ценная на сегодня пластинка от Deal Records - это проект Kaskade с треком Angel On My Shoulder в ремиксе Maurizio Colella, более известного и любимого всеми как EDX. Фирменные, мелодичные, а главное качественно спродюсированные треки и ремиксы от EDX не удерживают на месте никого - это давно сложившийся факт. В доказательство к вышеприведенному факту, еще один хит Mirage от EDX. На этот раз он мастерски ремикшировал еще одного швейцарского музыканта Passenger 10 aka George F. Zimmer. Такая музыка взбодрит даже самых железобетонных, поспорим? И вот когда вроде бы все проработано и сет успешно исполнен, но все же чего то не хватает - самое время браться за работу Jerome Isma-Ae. Джером у нас известен тем, что умеет рисовать хорошие и жирные финальные точки, почерк которого не перепутать ни с чем. Умопомрачительный ремикс, полностью в стилистике маэстро. Прошу обратить внимание на потрясающий выход из ямы, такое умеет делать только он, мистер Jerome Isma-Ae! В хронике винила у меня сегодня итальянец Alex Dolby с любимой и уважаемой мною пластинкой Psiko Garden. Данный релиз, разумеется, есть в моей виниловой колекции, ибо такая музыка как я люблю говорить на века и, я полагаю, именно этой пластинкой лучше всего завершать любой успешный progressive сет. Еще одно альтер эго Fine Taste раскрывается в следующем ремиксе на трек Glistening Heaven от Vito & Dewald. Да-да, эта великолепная музыка написана все тем же голландским кудесником электронных звуков Johan Vermeulen, который также работает под Fine Taste, Global Illumination, Sidesmokers, Chunk & Twist, Dualtone. Вот такая многогранная личность, этот мистер Йохан. Звездный британский проект Cicada с треком Cut Right Through в мастерском ремиксе от DJ Delicious. После хорошо проработанных electro-разрядов и небольшого провисания ближе к середине трека, вас ждет элегантный выход, ровно как и выход из последней ямы - эти моменты заслуживают отдельной похвалы. Фирменные, мелодичные, а главное качественно спродюсированные треки и ремиксы от EDX не удерживают на месте никого - это давно сложившийся факт. В доказательство к вышеприведенному факту, еще один хит Mirage от EDX. На этот раз он мастерски ремикшировал еще одного швейцарского музыканта Passenger 10 aka George F. Zimmer. Такая музыка взбодрит даже самых железобетонных, поспорим? И вот когда вроде бы все проработано и сет успешно исполнен, но все же чего то не хватает - самое время браться за работу Jerome Isma-Ae. Джером у нас известен тем, что умеет рисовать хорошие и жирные финальные точки, почерк которого не перепутать ни с чем. Умопомрачительный ремикс, полностью в стилистике маэстро. They don’t come more experienced in dance music than Omid Nourizadeh aka Omid 16B. For the last 20 years the Londoner has done it all: manage record labels; releasing on pivotal imprints; performing all over the world, and even compiling mix CD compilations. Back in the early 00’s you would’ve been hard pressed to find a DJ tracklist which didn’t feature a 16B remix or track. Surely, one of the more memorable moments of the whole Global Underground series has to be on CD1 of John Digweed’s Los Angeles outing: Madam’s frenetic ‘Penetration' (Madam vs. Bipath) mixing into 16B’s blissed-out remix of Electric Tease’s ‘Your Lovin’. His productions and remixes on prog house imprints like Hooj Choons, Yoshitoshi and Bedrock included the euphoric 'Driving To Heaven’ and the provocative beats of 'True (The Faggot Is You)’. His outing with Desyn Masiello and Demi as dance trio SOS lead to a mix compilation for Balance, for many a definite highlight of the whole series. Yes, the term legend can get watered down in today’s climate of click bait headlines, but in this case it is extremely justified. For this podcast Omid have opted to go with what he knows best, creating a journey through sound: 'My aim was to find a balance between what makes one move and shake through to being able to lay back and have a musical experience with a story!’ What a treat. Друзья, этот проект носит название Echomen, в состав которого входит трио талантливейших музыкантов, продюсеров и диск-жокеев Chris Scott, Anton Fielding и Graeme “Cheb” Stewart.Очень трудно представить ценителя xayc музыки, которому ничего не говорило бы словосочетание Echomen. Трио из Ньюкастла - Chris Scott, Anton Fielding и Graeme "Cheb" Stewart объединились в проект Echomen в 2000 году. В том же года на британскoм лeйблe End Recordings ребята записали пластинку с двумя своими синглами Orient и One Way. Это был первый релиз Echomen, положивший начало их творческому coюзy.Oбa cингла с этой пластинки пpишлиcь по вкусу известному мyзыкантy и диджею Danny Howells и вошли в компиляцию Nubreed 002, зaписaннyю Danny для лейбла Global Underground. "MAXIMUM" - максимальное удовольствие!Для тех, кто впервые слышит имя Омида, ниже привожу биографию мегапозитивной персоны в лице Omid 16B.Omid Nourizadeh (он же Omid 16B, 16B, Phaser, ORN, Changing Shape, Sixteen Million $ Man), выходец из южного Лондона с персидскими корнями и основатель лэйблов Alola (1993), Disclosure (1994) и Sexonwax (2002), известен и уважаем во всем мире как один из лучших techno/deep house/tribal house продюсеров и ди-джеев. На своих лэйблах Омид выпускал в первую очередь свой материал и музыку таких продюсеров как Pete Moss, House of 909, Loudeast, Charles Webster, YMC, Vince Watson, NAV и Mr.C.Один из первых же трэков музыканта вышедший под псевдонимом ORN, был подписан BMG, и перевыпущен ими в 1995 году с большим резонансом. Frankfurt based DJ & producer Oliver Lieb is involved in the production of electronic music since 1988. With more than 300 singles and albums including remixes for Faithless, Moby, Snap, Yello, Human League, Mory Kante, Utah Saints to name a few, he made it in the premier leage of international producers and keeps surprising and amazing people with his extraordinary sounds and diversity. At the age of 14 he started playing bass in several Funk/Soul/Jazz bands. Oliver also got in touch with electronic music (Pink Floyd, Kraftwerk,Yello, Jean-Michel Jarre) and discovered a new and an endless horizon of expressing himself. In late 1989 Oliver’s first record FORCE LEGATO “System” got released by Dorian Gray resident DJ Torsten Fenslau on his Abfahrt label. The single gained great worldwide reactions and almost hit the official German charts. In the years to follow Oliver released everything in the electronic genres from downtempo and chill-out to hard experimental techno and trance. His project Spicelab on Sven Väth’s legendary Harthouse label established a platform for his highly appreciated sounds, which developed into one of the most important projects of the label including the release of three full length album releases. Oliver never wanted to focus on just one specific genre he simply created several pseudonyms for each of his different styles. His LSG and Paragliders releases on Superstition Rec. are still considered as one of the most influencing and timeless trance projects and were developed for more than 10 years and 5 Albums. His maxis and albums got licensed on Hooj Choons, Yoshitoshi, Platipus, Duty Free, Magic Muzic and many others. After leaving Superstition in 2004 it was time for doing something new especially since the whole music scene went through big changes and somehow redefined itself. After locking himself into his studio to create new sounds and going into all kind of different directions Oliver announced the start of his own label “Maschine” in summer 2005 which is distributed worldwide by “Neuton” and online exclusively through Beatport and released his first single “Solieb - Circus Maximus” in July. The reactions were great and two more maxis followed until the end of 2005. Maschine is about to turn into a main source for high quality forward electronic music and grabs more and more peoples attention. In 2007 Oliver started a new company doing mastering and cutting vinyl. After all this was a logic step since he is known for a very high sound standard on his own productions and so he added some high end analog mastering gear to his studio to guarantee sound quality enhancement also for his clients. After the endless process of planning, constructions and moving in to the new studio and finally focusing on the new company he took a bit of a break from producing and djing - also to focus on a new sound and directions. In 2010 Oliver started a new label Solieb Digital to re-release his old music after re-mastering and polishing the tracks. So far there are 15 releases including his ambient album on Recycle or Die as well as two albums from Spicelab, L.S.G. – The Black Album Remastered Compilation and the L.S.G. „Unreleased Album“ were released. Since late 2010/early 2011 Oliver has started working again on new productions. The first release Parallax was an exclusive track for John Digweeds Structures two CD followed in July by the Oliver Lieb - Epsilon Eridani EP - on Bedrock. After upgrading and changing his studio setup in Summer 2011 he also appeared as a remixer again starting with Ioan Gamboa, Davide Cali and Microtrauma´s "Aktin" on Microtonal. In February 2012 Oliver Lieb together with Jimmy van M. released a mix CD as „The Audible Suspects" on Bedrock that was highly appreciated both for the outstanding overall sound quality and the track selection. Late November the Oliver Lieb - „Collider EP“ was released on Diametral with remixes by Solee and Matthias Spriger. In December two more remixes came out - Rich Curtis Lower my voice on Release Rec. and Mauro Norti - Last Day that made it to the Beatport Techno sales charts on #6. 2013 was very busy – it started in January with „The Shortest Day / Yarra EP“ on Tulipa Rec. with original Oliver Lieb tracks plus remixes from Android Cartel, Dapayk Solo and Roland M. Dill and two releases on Blackhole´s sister label Fris! Oliver Lieb –„Altiplano“ in January and „Ear Candy“ in April. In March „Rack to the Boots EP“ was released on Solee´s label Parquet followed by remixes for Solee´s „Jonalu“ and Teho & Tran´s track „Almeria“ – both on Parquet. Two EPs on Natura Viva came out in July and November (Tarsius EP and Hold it Back EP) while a remix for Citizen Kain´s track King Size was released on Natura Viva in between. In September Oliver re-launched his label Maschine with the well received „In Transit EP“ and released an EP on Elektrax Recordings (The Prophet EP) in November – both on vinyl and digital. Further on there were remixes on Microcastle (Deepfunk & Kassey Voorn), System Recordings, Wide Angle Rec., Modu Rec. and a few more. In December there will be a remix on Flow Rec. for JML – Seek til you find. For 2014 there are already a lot of releases planned. Starting with „Dark Energy EP“ on Proton early January and remixes for Inlab Rec and Natura Viva. When your talking about old hands in the British Dance music scene that still hold the credibility to stick to their guns and continue to play non commercial, true house music you need look no further than Scott Bradford. Scott first cut his teeth on the decks in 1989 playing odd club slots around the North East of England but he soon pushed himself to the forefront after teaming up with long term partner, SCOOBY, when they started their first weekly residency at Rockshots in Newcastle. After two years and the subsequent rise of the silly hardcore scene Scott realised it was time to move on and relocate to a smaller venue where only those who appreciated their music fully and the crowd could be closely monitored. They took up residency at Club Afrika in May1992 and the legendary SHINDIG was born. moving into it’s 21st year (making it one of the longest running club nights in the UK) the night now resides at the impressive Warehouse 34 in Newcastle has played host to a who’s who of international DJ talent and has gained a massive reputation at home and abroad. Joeski steps up for Gangstercast 14 while his 'NY Raw' release (produced with Audio KoDe) for our label continues to do damage on the world's dance floors. The mix showcases Joeski at his best, with almost two hours of music including one of his favourite Latin infused summer joints. Joeski says he "went back to his roots" on the mix and that it "represents my culture and who i am as an artist". We hear that loud and clear at IAHG HQ! Talking about the I'm A House Gangster sound he says it's "raw, jackin, banging, hypnotic, deep in your face house music". We hear that loud and clear too! Raised in Corona, a large Spanish area in the borough of Queens, New York, Joeski started playing house parties in 1989 and hasn't looked back since, staying true to the underground house sound throughout. Building his reputation in the early 90's at New York clubs and events like The Limelight, NASA, Save The Robots, The Chocolate Factory and Together he was soon touring the world. After building his studio and honing the craft of production at the end of the 90's, he exploded into people's attention with a series of tracks and remixes on Siesta, Tango, Electric Sol and more. He also launched his own label Maya Records, which was highly sought after from the early releases thanks to his collaborations as part of 6400 Crew and outings with Onionz and D'Julz. The label welcomed guests like Chus + Ceballos, Tony Senghore and Nick & Danny Chatelain. The early success led to remix work for the likes of Sneaker Pimps, Dajaé, Delacy, Dirty Vegas, Medway and DJ Sneak, and collaborations with DJ Chus, John Creamer and Stephan K, Steve Smith (Dirty Vegas) and Matthias Heilbronn. The results have graced labels such as Hooj Choons, NRK, Ministry, Stealth and Junior Boys Own.

Filterheadz (BEL) - NightVision Techno PODCAST 33 Pt. 2 Bio: Filterheadz are best known for their smash techno hits Sunshine & Yimanya as well as their highly energetic DJ performances. It all started somewhere in the 80’s when brothers Bert & Maarten Wilmaers picked up their first musical instruments. Bert on guitar & Maarten on drums. Influenced by The Police, U2 & Simple Minds they took their first steps on the way to Rock ‘n Roll stardom.... Well not exactly. After a decade of hammering away in rehearsal rooms and local stages their dream to become rockstars took a surprising twist. Almost by accident they discovered the groovy rhythms of US House Music, influenced by Roger Sanchez, Masters At Work & David Morales the boys started experimenting with loops and disco samples. Their very first US style house tracks saw the light. Armed with those tracks, the boys approached Belgian record company Headroom Music who saw the potential and took them under their wings. After a few releases under several monikers, they decided to go with ‘Filterheadz’, with the idea of releasing some more ‘Filter Disco’ records…things turned out slightly different. Two things happened almost simultaneously. First there was their remix of Minimalistix 'Struggle for Pleasure' that turned out to be an instant classic in the progressive house scene. Prolific labels like Hooj Choons, Platipus, Bedrock, Yoshitoshi and Renaissance stood in line to call upon their remix skills. The second, and most important thing: They discovered Techno. Together with Belgian DJ Tomaz they embarked on a Techno Journey that would eventually lead them to Carl Cox’ Intec where they released their all time classic “Sunshine”. Two years later they would take their signature sound even further and release “Yimanya”, another big hit. In the mean time extensive tours took Filterheadz to every corner of the globe and placed them high on the bill of events like I love Techno, Dance Valley & Tomorrowland and headlining clubs like Zouk, Womb, Ministry of Sound, Fabrik (Madrid) and so on. Their remix engine kept running full steam: Green Velvet ‘La La Land’, Eddie Amador ‘House Music’, Delirium ‘Silence’, Faithless ‘I want more’ and Eric Prydz ‘Call on me’ just to name a few. Further releases like Cartagena & Endless Summer showcased their unique blend of techno beats and melodies. The balance started to shift, less Techno & more melodic. Although tracks like “Day at the beach” & “Everything explained” on Sander Van Doorn’s label proved to be successful, clearly something was missing... Looking back at their history and inspired by their heroes Marco Bailey & Carl Cox they decided it was time for a change. The Phoenix rises from the ashes. 2012 not only marks the 10th anniversary of Sunshine and a release of a smashing remix package on 1605. It also marks the return to techno. With a string of new releases on MB Elektronics, Intec, 1605, Respekt & Toolroom. Filterheadz are once again ready to rock dance floors all over the world. Tracklist: 01. I did one of these years ago for Hooj Choons when they released their back catalog digitally and Bedrock has now put a number of collections together that feature some of their best music over the years. I love doing these kinds of mixes as they provide unique challenges in terms of tempo, style and timbre. Weaving a set with this much music has also required me to break it up into several parts. I have parts 1 & 2 completed and will be posting them in consecutive months. By the time those are played out I should have part 3 and possibly a 4th part done as well.
