In 2012 under the name Mario Basanov Adomaitis won Best Electronic Act at Lithuanian M.A.M.A. music awards. On 10 May 2013 Ten Walls released his debut EP Gotham.[4] On 9 December 2013 he released his debut single "Requiem".On 7 September 2014 he released the single "Walking with Elephants". On 10 September 2014 the song was at number 3 on The Official Chart Update in the UK. The 100th podcast, WOW!!! First, we really want to say massive THANKS to all our followers and who listen to our podcasts. We would not have done all of it without you! For this occasion, we have special guest and for us it's an honour to have him on board! Please welcome Marijus Adomaitis who is Lithuanian music producer, music author and DJ. He mainly creates electronica, experimental, house, disco. Marijus is working on his projects: Ten Walls, Mario Basanov and newly born Hindemit. As a Ten Walls he released his debut EP "Gotham" back in May 2013 through “Innervisions”. It was followed by "Requiem" in December of the same year through Italian electronic music label “Life And Death”. In September 2014 Marijus smashed the release of "Walking with Elephants" which made to the tops of UK Singles Chart. Following year in 2015 he released a single named "Sparta". In 2016 Marijus created a company named “Runemark” and released another big hit “Italo”. Ten Walls worked on multiple projects, remixes, collaborations etc. Year 2017 – Ten Walls released a double album “Queen”. In 2020 Marijus released an album “Lights For The Dreams” for his Ten Walls project. Ten Walls recently at the end of 2020 released an EP “U Turn” through the label “Click Records”. Marijus' dream came true. Ten Walls made a collaboration with Lithuanian Symphony Orchestra. The project named “Symphony” gathered his fans across Lithuania to hear his own music performed by the orchestra. There will be more surprises regarding this project very soon. One of the most interesting experiences that Marijus had during the pandemic was to create music for the videogame Moonray. Ten Walls has lots of news for his fans. TEN WALLS (Vilnius, LITHUANIA ) Marijus Adomaitis , better known by his stage names Ten Walls or Mario Basanov is a Lithuanian producer who is best known for his 2014 single "Walking with Elephants", which peaked at number 6 on the UK Singles Chart. In June 2015, Ten Walls was dropped from several festivals and by his booking agency after making controversial comments comparing gay people to pedophiles in a Facebook post, and referring to the LGBT community as a "different breed". In 2012 under the name Mario Basanov Adomaitis won Best Electronic Act at Lithuanian M.A.M.A. music awards. On 10 May 2013 Ten Walls released his debut EP Gotham.[4] On 9 December 2013 he released his debut single "Requiem".On 7 September 2014 he released the single "Walking with Elephants". On 10 September 2014 the song was at number 3 on The Official Chart Update in the UK. Ionas Feenstra, Dutch descended but born in Athens on the 31st of March 1984 and raised on Mykonos Island, Ionas was influenced by the many dj's that visited the island each year. His passion for djing started at the age of 16 when he started playing music in some clubs warming up the resident djs and at home parties. For the past years he has been spinning at various bars/clubs in Mykonos, Athens and other cities of Greece as a guest. For the summer of 2012 Ionas was the resident dj of Thirteen bar in Mykonos together with Endie Kenzak where they mixed besides some great djs/producers such as Phonique, Daniel Bortz, Argy, Siopis, Mario Basanov, Virginia, Jan Blomqvist. Summers of 2013/14/15/16 and 2017 find Ionas mixing at Scarpa(Mykonos) together with Dino MFU & Ms Lefki, at all the MadeOfSounds parties in Greece (part of MOS team), some nights at Cavo Paradiso and some days in other clubs around Greece. In June 2015, Lithuanian DJ/producer, Marijus Adomaitis, AKA Ten Walls or Mario Basanov, published a particularly vile Facebook post about gay people. Whilst I believe everyone has the right to free speech, this was a pre-determined concrete view that rubs against the origins of club culture, a culture he milks and profits from for a living. His ill-informed, niave statements led to much discontent being voiced in music and social media. He was rightly pulled from many festival performances but it’s too early to tell how much it has hurt his career. He will probably soon pop under a new producer pseudonym anyway.The trouble is, I loved his work under the ‘Mario Basanov’ monica. I actively sought out and bought the tunes and he’s had more than a fair share of airtime in our gay household. Now, I find it difficult to separate the man from the music, In 2015, three/four years after release, his bottom-heavy, dreamy deep house signature has been mimicked and replicated, dating it quickly. Maybe that’s why he started releasing under ‘Ten Walls’??Whatever, it’s time to draw a line under these great tunes, and ‘finish off Masanov’. I had a number of these future disco playlists bubbling away between 2010-2012. This session pulls together favourites from that era, and clocking in at over two and a half hours, it’s a pretty chunky one. To dial-up the pink and stamp some queer over his music, we open with a snatch from John Waters’ 1969 movie, Mondo Trasho. January has been a hectic month for me. With stuff busy at work, a DJ gig every week, me beginning production work, and a few other projects going on, it was hard finding time to put this one together...A majority of this mix was arranged on the bus ride to/from work. I don't think this mix achieved the same flow that Dec and Jan did, but it does make a decent buildup from 97bpm-123bpm in less than an hour. There's definitely a few great tracks in here though, especially Guy Gerber - Hate/Love @ 49 min, which I've listed to on repeat for about an hour...
