Join Andrew and Brandon as they journey back to September 1997, but first they talk about being able to record in person for the past 3 episodes. After the break, Andrew wants to discuss the live episode of E.R. that he some how forgot after his last rewatch. They then pitch their favorite picks for the new new host of Jeopardy. Brandon enlightens Andrew on Ninja Turtles: The Next Mutation and the female turtle introduced in the series and the time they crossed over with Power Rangers: In Space. Andrew gets to give his thoughts on Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles II: Secret of the Ooze. Finally Brandon closes out the episode by reading the lyrics of Barbie Girl by Aqua.Check out this week's Spotify Playlist:https://open.spotify.com/playlist/7G3iUPnWzWRAsUS0uI0DQP?si=b190d33ef78b45c5 Like the show? Hello, kaiju (and toku) lovers! Nathan has been mandated by the Board to archive episodes of Power Rangers in the film vault. Their executive assistant, Ms. Perkins, was particularly insistent on him starting with Power Rangers In Space, for some reason. So, as a special bonus episode to close out 2020 and season one, Nathan and Chris Cooke (host of “One Cross Radio”) recorded a pair of watch-along episodes for that series' two-part finale, “Countdown to Destruction.” While Chris is a “Power Fan,” Nathan went into this two-parter relatively cold, so you'll hear his honest reactions live. Chris and Nathan also mention fun factoids about this epic episode as well as the series itself and the Power Rangers franchise (including a possible relative of Nate's who served as a screenwriter and story editor on it!) MIFV's intrepid producer, Jimmy From NASA, pipes in a few times and accuses Nathan of having a crush on the show's big bad, Astronema, which earns him some potent sass. Stay tuned after the credits to hear the return of MIFV's mascots—and the introduction of another one! To hear part one of this watch-along, check out the latest episode of One Cross Radio. Merry Christmas and Happy New Year, kaiju lovers! The episode thumbnail was created by Michael Hamilton. We'd like to give a shout-out to our Patreon patrons Travis Alexander and Michael Hamilton (co-hosts of Kaiju Weekly); Danny DiManna (author/creator of the Godzilla Novelization Project); Eli Harris (elizilla13); Chris Cooke (host of One Cross Radio), and Bex from Redeemed Otaku! A tenure barely begun reaches a surprising endpoint on the podcast this week, as we watch the Power Rangers In Space episode ‘Zhane’s Destiny’! Why does this episode all of three seconds to remind us of Star Trek: Discovery’s pilot? Why does much of the rest of it remind of classic Star Trek? And is this actually one of those rare situations where we’re blown away for a reason the show writers actually intended? Find out the answers to these questions and more on this episode of the Ranger Danger In Space podcast!

This week Average Joe is joined by his brother King Boo to discuss a piece of 90's pop culture that many would like to forget about. Tim Allen has claimed that Toy Story 4 will have a bigger emotional impact than Infinity War. What do the guys think about this outlandish claim? Is the man of sound mind? Is that even possible? You've probably heard of the Power Rangers and the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles. But did you know that these two franchises crossed over in the 1990's? Two teams of multi-coloured heroes using weapons to fight villains. What could possibly go wrong? Episode 40: It's the end of an era as Avi and Dan tackle the finale of Power Rangers: In Space. They have mostly feelings about the whole affair and are probably beginning to question all the choices that have led them to this point in their lives. If asked to sum it up in a single phrase it would be, "On a better written show..." Were they magic tears? Let us know @fromalpha2zedd and rate us on Apple Podcasts.
Episode 36: Dan and Avi continue to find Power Rangers: In Space "fine" and "better than Turbo". Avi also thinks about a rich woman from Connecticut. Take that for what you will. On the other hand, they're very excited to watch Pirates of the Caribbean next week? Want to talk to us about Johnny Depp? Tweet @fromalpha2zedd and rate us on Apple Podcasts!

So we finally make it to the final Disney era Power Rangers season and boy did they go out with a bang. Much like with Power Rangers In Space, RPM was a season where clearly the writers had tons of leeway to do whatever show they wanted. Disney at the time was investing heavily in Marvel so the Power Rangers license was whatever to them. What we end up getting is easily one of the best seasons of this franchise.

This week, we talk earliest obsessions. Matt guides Allison through Power Rangers: In Space and Allison shows Matt Naruto Shippuden.
This is it...the season that was the end of the Zordon era. Power Rangers in Space is what happens when a companies back is against the wall and they put out a damn good quality show. Power Rangers In Space was supposed to be the last season of the show and with that, this season tied up lots of loose ends from previous seasons. Epic action, good storytelling, and likeable characters make In Space well worth the watch.
Elliot and John watch "Shell Shocked" from POWER RANGERS IN SPACE. When the Next Mutation-era Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles are brainwashed, it's up to 1998's crop of Power Rangers to send them back to the sewers! Do these teenagers with attitude measure up to their Mighty Morphin' predecessors, or would Lord Zedd eat them all for breakfast? Listen to find out!

HAPPY NEW YEAR 2012!!! In Episode 09 Scotty and Mike take off into Space! In the intro to the episode we read and respond to some overly nitpicky feedback. Then we get into the In Space Talk. Some thing we forgot to bring up was the whole Andros and Ashley blossoming relationship. So blast off ...
The Power Trip: A Journey Through the Power Rangers Franchise
The rumors of a three-hour PowerPoint (ba-dum-tsh) presentation were untrue—it's 2.5 hours. Like Nathan said in the previous episode, Power Rangers Turbo broke the franchise's leg so Power Rangers In Space could put it in a splint, run, and then break the splint while sprinting. In fact, the franchise flies higher than ever before—and it inspires the “professor” side of Nathan to come out and educate Michael. It also gives Nathan an excuse to be a raving Astronema fanboy (“best villain in Power Rangers,” he says). Nathan also lectures on redemption, the symbolism of Astronema's wigs, and finding yourself.
