No matter what you're facing, God is still worthy of your praise. When life gets heavy, don't let the enemy steal your worship—praise shifts the atmosphere, breaks chains, and invites God's presence. Even in the storm, trust that He is working all things for your good. Keep praising, keep trusting, and remember—Jesus saw your worth and paid the ultimate price for you.Scripture Reference: Psalm 100:4 Psalm 34:18 Acts 16:16-25 Psalm 42:1-5 Psalm 34:1 Philippians 1:6 Romans 5:5 Jeremiah 20:9 Welcome to Oceans Unite - a place for God's presence. Imagine being woken in the dead of night by an angel, urgency ringing in your ears: "Get up, take your wife and child, and flee—someone's coming to kill your son." That's the reality Saint Joseph faced. As we journey through Lent with Saint Joseph, this episode dives deep into his title "Joseph Most Strong"—a man whose strength wasn't just in his carpenter's hands but in his unshakable resolve to protect his family and trust God when the world turned dark. This isn't a dusty saint story; it's a raw, human look at what real strength means for us men today—and how we can live it out.I'll walk you through Joseph's life—his response to Mary's pregnancy, his midnight trek to a hostile land—and ask: What would you do? When fear hits—flee, fight, freeze, or fawn—where do you land? Joseph didn't panic; he moved. And that's our cue. Today, strength might mean standing up for truth when the room's against you or pushing past exhaustion for your family. It's not about never feeling scared—it's about leaning on God and acting anyway. Here's your challenge, men: hit the gym today. Not for vanity, but because your body's a gift from God, a temple of the Holy Spirit. No more "dad bod" excuses—I've got four kids and sleep deprivation too, but we're called to be warriors for Christ. Lift something, sweat, take care of what He gave you. Pair that with a moment of prayer, asking Joseph to guide you into his kind of strength—physical and spiritual. This episode isn't just talk; it's a call to do. Push play, reflect, and step up.Products and References MentionedBuy Me a Coffee Page: Support the podcast financially at buymeacoffee.com/TMC.Social Media: Follow The Manly Catholic on X (Twitter) for updates.Email: Reach out at themanlycatholic@gmail.com.YouTube: Subscribe to the channel for video content.Scripture Reference: Psalm 27:14 – "Wait for the Lord, be strong and let your heart take courage."3 Powerful Quotes"Strength isn't just about lifting heavy loads... It's the grit to stand firm when everything's against you, the bravery to act when fear's screaming to run.""He rose up, packed, and he led his family into the night to a foreign land. That is strength—courageous, decisive, putting his body between danger and those he loved.""Our bodies are a temple of the Holy Spirit. Take care of your body. Enough of the excuses. I'm sleep deprived too. I have four little kids. I need to get to the gym. You need to get to the gym."Act beyond the fear. Joseph didn't let fear paralyze him—he trusted God and moved decisively to protect his family. Next time you're scared—whether it's a tough conversation or a big decision—pause, pray, and take the step anyway. Trusting and seeking God in every circumstance is essential because He alone holds the answers, solutions, and strength we need. While His ways are not always easy, they are always right. Waiting on the Lord is not passive—it's an active trust in His perfect timing and plan. When we consistently seek Him, He renews our strength, lifts us out of difficulties, and leads us into the abundant spiritual life He has prepared for us. No other solution compares to Him, and those who wait on Him will soar! In a world full of harshness and hurry, there is one who offers you shelter and rest. Listen to the promise from the Book of Psalms… Those who live in the shelter of the Most High will find rest in the shadow of the Almighty. In my own life I searched for meaning, for rest, for security by looking within myself. But I didn't find what I needed there. In fact, those days were actually the darkest days of my life. But, since then, I have found rest in the shadow of Almighty God. When I began a relationship with God, life didn't become easier. But it became filled with a deeper, unshakable peace than I've ever experienced before. You can experience this peace, too. Always remember there is hope with God. This is Wendy Palau. 1 The heavens declare the glory of God; the skies proclaim the work of his hands. 2 Day after day they pour forth speech; night after night they reveal knowledge. 3 They have no speech, they use no words; no sound is heard from them. 4 Yet their voice[b] goes out into all the earth, their words to the ends of the world. In the heavens God has pitched a tent for the sun. 5 It is like a bridegroom coming out of his chamber, like a champion rejoicing to run his course. 6 It rises at one end of the heavens and makes its circuit to the other; nothing is deprived of its warmth. "He heals the brokenhearted and binds up their wounds." (Psalm 147:3)In this powerful message, we explore God's promise to bring healing and restoration to the broken areas of our lives. Drawing from Psalm 147:3-6, we discover how God meets us in our pain, carries our burdens, and offers us hope. No matter what you're facing, this sermon reminds us that God is faithful to heal and restore.
What drives churches into irrelevancy and compromises the family’s integrity at its core? It’s syncretism—mixing the things of God with the things of the world. And one of the greatest syncretizing tools in the world today are our phones. As Christians, we must ask ourselves, “Are these devices making me more or less holy in how I use them?” To avoid syncretism, we must, first, double down on the word of God by saturating our minds in Scripture daily. Second, we must double down on our family—don’t let the enemy kick down your home’s door anymore. And, third, we must double down on the church by faithfully devoting ourselves to its interests. There's a beautiful name for God used in the Old Testament—Adonai. It means Lord. The full meaning is Lord of all. It's a Hebrew word that refers to God's absolute authority. He's not just a Lord, He is the Lord. There are people in this world who have heard about Him, and they call Him God. And there are people in this world who know Him, not just about Him, and they call Him Lord. Is He your Adonai, not just a god, but your Lord? When you get to know Him and experience Him—when you have a relationship with Him—the only appropriate response is to call Him Lord. Do you know Him? You can today. You can move from knowing about God, to knowing Him for yourself. Always remember, there is hope with God. Scripture Reference: Psalm 86:15 radio.hopewithgod.com
