This week on the Worn & Wound podcast, we're talking about regrets. Yes, we've had a few. Zach Kazan welcomes Kat Shoulders and Zach Weiss to the pod this week to talk about the watches they've bought and sold that they wish they hadn't, and even some takes and loosely held opinions that have fallen out of favor. This one is a real stroll down memory lane and as you'd expect touches on a great deal of our participant's collecting history. Before the team gets into their watch regrets, there's a brief discussion of a few recent releases that simply because of their release dates feel paired in our minds. The new watch from Toledano & Chan and the latest Speedmaster represent two sides of the enthusiast spectrum in really interesting ways (and happen to be priced very similarly). Let us know what you think of the Speedies as well as the latest from Toledano & Chan in the comments below. We'd also love to hear about your watch regrets, so feel free to share – this is a safe space. On this episode of the NHRA Insider powered by Speedmaster, Josh Hart and Mike Knudsen join host Brian Lohnes to talk about the off-season, preparing for 2026, what they are looking forward to, and how this next season will show off the evolution of their respective careers. Josh Hart goes into depth about his experience so far at John Force Racing, his new sponsorship with Speedmaster, and how the team is working to craft the most precisely tailored Top Fuel dragster he has ever piloted. He talks about the shift in pressure from being an owner/driver to a dedicated driver, what David Grubnic and John Collins are doing and how fired up he is for Gainesville. Mike Knudsen heads into the 2026 season with something virtually no other Funny Car Crew Chief has, the same team. The growth they showed in 2025 along with the stability they bring into 2026 means that the car which finished second last season is expected to challenge for a title once again. Mike talks approach, new tracks, how the tuners will navigate them and what he learned from last year. Some awesome deep insight from these two guys who will star prominently in the 2026 nitro fueled war that will be NHRA competition.
Welcome back to another episode of Fratello On Air! This week, we discuss the latest Speedmaster Professional reverse panda. However, this isn't your standard review. We take it all the way back to Speedy Tuesday 1 and rue the passing of the limited-edition models of yore. Fear not, though; it's not all about Speedies.Yes, last week's Speedmaster reverse panda caused quite a stir. In many ways, it feels like Omega's move was easy, but it took until 2026 for it to arrive. Overall, we're happy it did show up, but it made us quite sentimental. There were also some other new releases worth mentioning. Sit back, relax, and enjoy the show.HandgelenkskontrolleWe kick off the show with a bit of TV talk. Landman, Fallout, and The Walking Dead: Daryl Dixon are some of the shows we've been enjoying. For the Handgelenkskontrolle, Mike is wearing the Ollech & Wajs OW C-1000 Y, a watch that easily survived a cold-weather car wash earlier in the day. Balazs, on the other wrist, is wearing a watch that he just received. It's the Nivada F77 Chrono Mecaquartz, and he's rocking it with a blue dial on a bracelet. At roughly €750, it represents a nice expansion of the F77 lineup. The Speedmaster reverse panda is a lookerWe debate the new Speedmaster reverse panda and remark on how the Moonwatch collection has grown mightily. It also gives us time to reminisce about the 2017 Speedy Tuesday 1, which featured a thematically similar dial design. This evolved into a discussion about the days of Omega's limited-edition Speedmaster Professional models. Dammit, we miss them and hope that the brand brings them back in some form. Another interesting release just dropped in the form of the TAG Heuer Carrera Seafarer Chronograph. We like it and enjoy all the different colors on the dial. Finally, we mention one of the more surprising drops, the Zenith El Primero-powered Tiffany & Co. Tiffany Timer. While we hope it foreshadows a new beginning for the American jeweler's watchmaking future, we're not necessarily in love with this brightly colored model. We hope you enjoy today's episode. As always, if you have ideas for future shows, feel free to let us know!
On this week's The Business of Watches, we head to Villeret, Switzerland, and the storied Swiss watchmaker Minerva. The brand, founded in 1858, is truly the jewel within Montblanc's watchmaking division, which itself is part of Swiss luxury conglomerate Richemont. Laurent Lecamp is the man leading Montblanc and Minerva's watchmaking operations, and he sat down with us for a detailed discussion on Minerva and what he's doing to satisfy the clients that he calls "fans" and not customers. Montblanc and Minerva won't be participating in Watches and Wonders this year, and Lecamp outlines the different paths that the brands are taking within the Richemont group. He also talks about his penchant for running extreme marathons, sometimes wearing a Minerva or Montblanc timepiece. But first, a new format to start the show. We're joined by Hodinkee senior business editor, Mark Kauzlarich, to chew over some of the business headlines making news in the watch world. We talk about potential executive changes in the top job at TAG Heuer and also discuss what we think the business strategy might be behind Omega's new Speedmaster that boasts a ceramic bezel, lacquered dial, and a new price tag. This week's episode opens with our hosts in recovery mode from another whirlwind of watch events in New York City. Between too many cocktails, too few hours of sleep, and an overload of new releases, they manage to squeeze in some insight into what makes this strange little world of watch collecting tick. Our recent watch-enthusiast survey gets dissected, revealing that the average collector spends less than you'd think, most of them also play guitar, and nearly everyone pretends to understand constant-force mechanisms. Cue a lively debate about integrated bracelets (“Free the bracelet!”) and why the supposedly sacred “three-watch collection” rule might be the dumbest idea the hobby ever produced.Omega's latest Speedmaster drops into the conversation like a well-timed meme — inspiring both awe and eye-rolls. The crew then takes a detour into rebranding gone wrong, using the fictional “Brahmot” as a case study in how to confuse your fanbase while trying to sound modern. Spoiler: Clear communication still matters more than Helvetica font choices. The discussion gets philosophical — and slightly unhinged — about consumer education, certification programs, and Seiko's website, which earns the definitive verdict: “Seiko doesn't run good websites.” Somewhere between talk of health insurance, music, and cultural references, the group concludes that the watch industry runs best on caffeine, optimism, and a bit of chaos. It's a fast, funny, and brutally honest ride through the watch industry's weird ecosystem — equal parts therapy session and roast. Whether you're rocking a Speedmaster or a Seiko 5, remember — collecting watches is supposed to be fun. Don't let your bracelet hold you back.
On this episode of the NHRA Insider Podcast powered by Speedmaster, Brittany Force and Eddie Krawiec join host Brian Lohnes for a pair of interesting and insightful conversations. She tells some great stories about her career, her legacy, and what the first experience she ever had in a Top Fuel dragster was like. Lots of introspection and history in this one. Eddie Krawiec is the crew chief for current NHRA Pro Stock Motorcycle points leader Richard Gadson. A man with a stack of titles of his own opens about his role as a tuner, a coach, and a leader behind the scenes with Gadson. This is some of the most interesting Pro Stock Motorcycle conversation we've ever had on the show. Add to that a monologue that may likely cause Lohnes' phone to ring and you've got an hour of drag racing fun like you can find nowhere else.

Leveraging the disappointment of that moment into the race day success he earned is a really fascinating process to listen to. It's no secret that we're Speedmaster fans here at Fratello. RJ, our founder, is an avid collector of these chronographs and the mind behind #SpeedyTuesday. But not all Speedies are created equal. Today, we're looking at some of the best modern Omega Speedmaster models. RJ, Thomas, and Nacho have tasked themselves with selecting their top five favorites. Now, as mentioned, we're focusing only on "modern" models, meaning only those introduced or available during the past 25 years. Though the watch has been around for nearly 70 years, a quarter century still leaves us with plenty to pick from. Omega produced countless special and limited editions over the last two and a half decades, so we're truly spoiled for choice.

The facility is one of the best on tour and the action will be hot and heavy from qualifying session one all the way to Sunday afternoon. This is a great conversation and one that will have you fired up for the week's upcoming action!

He has appeared in every final round since late in 2024 and has won back to back races. He has come close to winning a title but has never been able to leave a season as a champion in Pro Stock drag racing. Is this the year? He talks about his approach and how he is working to make himself better each race. A fun episode with two really hot superstars of NHRA!

Welcome to another episode of Fratello On Air. This week, we cover the latest news on watches and other subjects. We discuss the 250th Anniversary of Breguet and several other high-end brands. It was a relatively quiet week on the watch front, but there were still releases and news. Breguet released its first anniversary model, and it's worth some words. This leads to our thoughts on other higher-end brands. Also, we discuss Rolex, but not in the way you'd expect.HandgelenkskontrolleWe kick off the episode with a discussion about a vintage mesh JB Champion bracelet Mike purchased on eBay. It's a nice accompaniment to a Speedmaster, but the current Forstner is a fantastically accurate reissue. Then we discuss several TV shows, including You, Daredevil, and Dope Thief. Balazs has bought new New Balance sneakers, which leads to a discussion on some of the brand's other releases. For the Handgelenkskontrolle, Mike is wearing a 14K Movado "Ellipse" he recently received from his father. Balazs is also wearing a recently acquired family piece, the Girard-Perregaux Scuderia Ferrari Foudroyante Rattrapante.Breguet, Rolex, and other newsWe talk about Rolex because Balazs is potentially in the market for a new model. The Datejust has become quite expensive, especially with the white gold fluted bezel. This has Balazs considering an Oyster Perpetual with a dark green dial. We'll report back once he visits the local AD's to see if there is a waiting list. Breguet released the Classique Souscription 2025, a 40mm gold watch with an enamel dial and one hand. This spawns a longer discussion about the brand and how we hope great releases are coming during this important year. Blancpain and, ultimately, Vacheron get pulled into the episode as we long for iconic classic dress watches. We hope you enjoyed today's show. As always, if you have future topics, please feel free to let us know.
