Send us a textBuckle the f*ck up, because The Funky Panther just dropped an episode that smells like incense, ego death, and pure audio chaos. Musician and part-time sweat demon Ben C Jones is back—flexible, funky, and freshly cooked from his daily 105-degree hot yoga cult. Spoiler: his chakras are aligned, his joints are loose, and he might've accidentally joined a tantric death spiral. Enlightenment optional. While Ben's finding nirvana in a puddle of his own BO, Chad escapes Fort Worth and dives straight into Asia's adult playground—Macau and Hong Kong. Between gambling dens, dice games in back-alley bars, and Portuguese bartenders with loose morals, it's a travelogue that sounds more like a deleted scene from The Hangover 4: Oriental Express. Then it gets extra spicy—the gang breaks down Blue Origin's girlboss space cruise, featuring Katy Perry floating around like it's a zero-G makeup ad. Are these pop stars actually astronauts—or just influencers with rocket-fueled privilege? The debate spirals into capitalism, space pollution, and how much they'd personally fork over to escape this flaming meatball of a planet… for eleven goddamn minutes.Meanwhile, Ben teases his new psych-rock masterpiece, dropping May 23rd via Amplify 817. It's like Pink Floyd, Tame Impala, and your weird stoner cousin had a baby and let it record itself in a home studio filled with lava lamps and vintage trauma. Don't sleep on the June 13th album release party at The Post—expect killer vibes, musical therapy, and maybe a few mild hallucinations. The episode ends with nuclear-grade “Bad Takes” that'll piss off astronauts, yogis, and probably your mom. Plus, an “Overrated vs. Underrated” segment that drags Spotify and worships the holy gospel of local music legends.June 13th. The Post. Ben C Jones, Richer Hall, Dave Cave, and Reagan Beard. It's not just a show—it's a sonic exorcism. Seth and Sean do an extended Bad Take-a-Mania to fit in the amount of bad takes this week. Can anyone dethrone new champion Emmanuel Acho?
"Bad Takes Douglas" calls in and stumbles around at an attempt to troll us, but we feed the beast and indulge him anyway.
Breaking: Rory is getting killed by the internet for his Doechii take (and some would say rightfully so). His lawyers have drafted an apology and we challenged him to read it aloud (8:28). Meanwhile in R&B, Eric Bellinger has a bold claim - ‘Full Moon’ x Brandy is the greatest R&B album of all time (24:04). We attempt to debunk this, and surprise ourselves with just how much we like that album as well. We address the nonsense news headline that is ‘Beyonce is struggling to sell concert tickets’ before the team finds out an interesting fact about Demaris (39:22). After a convo about our experiences with war, we catch up on our tv show talk, and then go into voicemails (1:01:50). The first voicemail is from a young man who has a very …unique… question about our dating histories, and another young man with a freaked out question (1:23:44).See omnystudio.com/listener for privacy information.

Locked On Dodgers – Daily Podcast On The Los Angeles Dodgers
The Dodgers played two games on Tuesday, but the show was stolen by an epic World Baseball Classic finale that saw Team Japan beat Team USA, 3-2, to take home their third WBC title. The game ended with Angels teammates Shohei Ohtani and Mike Trout facing off in the final at-bat, and it was legendary. Jeff is here to talk all about that, but first we talk a bit about Clayton Kershaw and Noah Syndergaard, Tuesday's starting pitchers for Los Angeles, and the fact that Syndergaard won't be throwing 100 MPH any time soon. And finally, we talk about some unfortunate commentary from Alex Rodriguez and David Ortiz, who thought right after an epic baseball game was a good time to push false narratives about baseball sucking these days.Locked On Dodgers, the daily podcast about the Los Angeles Dodgers with hosts Jeff Snider and Vince Samperio, is part of the Locked On Podcast Network.Be sure to subscribe to Locked On Dodgers in the Audacy podcast app or wherever you get your podcasts, and come back every weekday morning and spend your morning commute with two of the biggest Dodger fans you'll ever meet. Hour 3: Evan has been talking some trash trying to get Boomer to answer his free-throw challenge, but it was friend of progrum Stu Feiner that answered the call. Evan wonders if there are any tv shows that are appointment television anymore. Big Mack and Evan talk about some of their worst takes & Evan plays one the worst in WFAN history.
Hour 2: Craig wonders if any future superstar players will want to come to Brooklyn. We played back some of Evan's takes on Kevin Durant and how bad they sound now that he's no longer with the Nets. And Evan doesn't hold back when criticizing Joe Tsai, but admits he will still go to the games.
According to the conventional rules of politics, Democrats should be on track for electoral disaster this November. Joe Biden's approval rating is stuck around 42 percent, inflation is still sky-high and midterms usually swing against the incumbent president's party — a recipe for the kind of political wipeouts we saw in 2018, 2010 and 1994.But that's not what the polls show. Currently, Democrats are on track to hold the Senate and lose narrowly in the House, which raises all kinds of questions: Why are Republicans failing to capitalize on such a favorable set of circumstances? How did Democrats get themselves into this situation — and can they get out of it? And should we even trust the polls giving us this information in the first place?Matt Yglesias is a veteran journalist who writes the newsletter “Slow Boring” and co-hosts the podcast “Bad Takes.” And in recent years he's become an outspoken critic of the Democratic Party's political strategy: how Democrats communicate with the public, what they choose as their governing priorities and whom they ultimately listen to. In Yglesias's view, Democrats have lost touch with the very voters they need to win close elections like this one, and should embrace a very different approach to politics if they want to defeat an increasingly anti-democratic G.O.P.We discuss why Yglesias thinks the 2022 polls are likely biased toward Democrats, how Republicans' bizarre nominee choices are giving Democrats a fighting chance of winning the Senate, why Biden's popular legislative agenda hasn't translated into greater public support, the Biden administration's “grab bag” approach to policymaking, why Yglesias thinks there's been a “regime change” in how Democrats think about elections, how social media has transformed both parties' political incentives, what the Democratic agenda should look like if the party retains both houses of Congress and more.Book recommendations:Famine: A Short History by Cormac Ó GrádaSlouching Towards Utopia by J.
