With what Richard Sherman said after the thursday Night game, could Russell Wilson be the one who called the pass at the 1-yard line in the Super Bowl against the Patriots?
One of the biggest sports questions of the last decade. What if Pete Carroll called upon his elite running back to run and score a game winning touchdown? It is a question that many fans, players, analysts and more have looked at and tried to make sense of. What becomes of the Seahawks beyond that? Is there a dynasty? Does the team stick together? Are legacies made? Matt and Andrew try to explore the rabbit hole.

A competitive affair, Super Bowl XLIX saw the Patriots overcome a 10-point deficit during the fourth quarter to take a 28–24 lead with 2:02 remaining. The game is best remembered for the Seahawks' last play, where they threatened to score a winning touchdown at New England's 1-yard line, but were intercepted in the final moments by Patriots cornerback Malcolm Butler. Butler's interception is regarded as one of the greatest in NFL history, while Seattle's decision to pass instead of run the ball is considered one of the worst calls. Brady was named Most Valuable Player (MVP) for the third time, tying the record held by Joe Montana, after setting the Super Bowl record for completions at 37. Two years later, Brady would break his completions record in Super Bowl LI. NBC's broadcast of Super Bowl XLIX is the most watched program in American television history.[

Kam Chancellor said in a recent piece for The Player's Tribune that the LOB was never able to get over the way they lost in Super Bowl 49. Why did this continue to hang over the heads of one of the best defenses ever? Around the NFL!: a couple of young QBs looking to prove themselves, and a former Seahawks coach gets hired. Then, Danny and Paul continue their discussion on the repercussions of Super Bowl 49. Then, Flag on the Play! See omnystudio.com/listener for privacy information.
Just when we're ready to finally move on from 6 years on agony after Super Bowl 49, one member of that Seahawks team has to bring it all back up once again. Jake and Stacy tell you why the players on that 2014 team aren't doing themselves any favors by bringing up past scores to settle. Mike Salk weighs in on that conversation as well as Greg Olsen's comments about maybe regretting his time in Seattle. Later, did the Seahawks' game next season against the Jaguars become exponentially more difficult overnight? See omnystudio.com/listener for privacy information.
Super Bowl week is upon us and we thought there was no one better to come on the pod and chop it up about his career and winning a Super Bowl than Neptune New Jersey Native, Rutgers star tight end and former Gronk/ Brady teammate than Tim Wright. This episode was one of the best by far. Tim spares no details as he relives his childhood, pop warner and high school careers. His epic winner within mentality at Rutgers empowered him to overcome an ACL injury which sidelined him for his Junior year. He took the field his senior year as a lone offensive captain and turned up the heat for the nation to see. It caught the eyes of his former coach Greg Schiano who was coaching the Tampa Bay Buccaneers. As an undrafted free agent, Tim had to earn his spot in Tampa and was moved from Wide Receiver to Tight End. He set franchise records his rookie year and made splash. After his rookie year, Tim was traded (words players never want to hear). But when he found out his new home would be with Tom Brady, Gronk and Belichik, Tim was doing cart wheels. He shipped up to Boston and was greeted with hugs from Brady and Gronk. His first season with the Patriots resulted in 6 touchdowns thrown by none other than the GOAT, Tom Brady. He worked in tandem with Gronk as a dynamic duo at the tight end position. That year the Patriots won the Super Bowl in arguably the greatest Super Bowl finish ever and Tim was donned World Champion! Enjoy this episode as Tim gives incredible description of what his journey was like and his predictions on this week's game... 28-21 Tampa - Brady 268 yards 3 Touchdowns AND what he is up to now!!--- This episode is sponsored by · Anchor: The easiest way to make a podcast. https://anchor.fm/appSupport this podcast: https://anchor.fm/thebrothersbrandt/support
I love controversial sports decisions. It always seems like the "right" decision was obvious, but that isn't always the case. In this episode, I go back in time to review the famous (or infamous) decision to throw a pass in Super Bowl 49.If you enjoyed this episode, be sure to subscribe and leave a rating within your favorite podcast platform, e.g., Apple Podcasts, Spotify, etc.
With three more weeks left of Belichick 20/20, we revisit the game that started the second chapter of the Patriots' dynasty under Bill Belichick; Super Bowl 49. Super Bowl 49 was a match up of two 12-4 number one seed teams as the Patriots would be going up against the Seattle Seahawks and the famed Legion of Boom. The Seahawks were returning to the Super Bowl a year after demolishing Peyton Manning's Broncos in a 43-8 blow out victory in Super Bowl 48. However, Super Bowl 49 would be anything but a blow out. Multiple lead changes, a dramatic end to the first half, an unbelievable last second catch and an unlikely hero all were on display as the Patriots would capture their first title in 10 years.
In the first hour: Zolak and Bertrand are celebrating 98.5 The Sports Hub’s 10th Anniversary...The guys discuss what they were up to before their days at 98.5...Plus, we look back at the Patriots 2014 season leading up to Super Bowl 49...And, we take a look back at the first reactions to the infamous Deflategate scandal.

I couldn't help recording a new podcast after last night's Super Bowl 49. Sports is often a great venue to learn some valuable life lessons and this game may have been one of the best ever, not only as a Super Bowl Championship, but also as a place to grab a few take-aways of how we can make our lives better. While the subconscious mind programming that we talk about is certainly part of the process, for now, let's just reminisce this great game and think about what we need to do when we make a “bad call”.The post Podcast 55 – Super Bowl 49 & Life Lessons appeared first on Subconscious Mind Mastery.
