How do/will you approach it if your kids want to play football? How do you help them not to live under the pressure of your shadows? 2.   @SoonerJG- Teddy…who is your second favorite band after Tool? 3.   @Asbell_tony- When you're traveling not work related, what are top criteria for hotel choice? Some are loyal to a brand and frequent stay points. Some value, some breakfast or happy hour. Some people the gym. Exclude the obvious of location. 4.   Jaxson Moore- did you guys have to learn to watch film differently when job roles switched from on field to off field? 5.   Nick Gelona- if the fingers on one of your hands could each magically produce an unlimited supply of any liquid, which 5 liquids would you choose? 6.   Brad Green- For Teddy- did you have a teammate that you absolutely hated to tackle or go up against? 7.   John Shupe- if you guys were given a time machine to go back and play 1 season on any Super Bowl winning team, which team would you choose and why? If winter's got you down and you're in need of some extra pizzazz to get you through the day, we've got just the medicine: our classic episode on the “The Super Bowl Shuffle.” Once you add this chart-topping tune to your playlist, we guarantee you'll be bopping all the way to your weekly Fred Silverman fan club meeting (we'll see you there). Enjoy!~~~There hasn't been anything quite like “The Super Bowl Shuffle”… And for good reason. Professional athletes can be boastful from time to time, but in 1985, it was taken to a whole new level! All lead by Bears Wide Receiver, Willie Gault. The Chicago Bears would produce a single (the first of its kind on Audio Cassette), film a music video (Second in sales to “Thriller”), and win a Super Bowl (beating those darn Patriots!) all in the course of an NFL season. “The Super Bowl Shuffle” was a sensation! Most of the team wanted in, but there were some that had their doubts. But not Mike Ditka! Just don't ask him to be involved… This week Ray teaches Rob about the game of football, why they called William Perry “The Refrigerator”, what a touchdown is, how Mike Ditka did his own music video (of which he has no recollection), and why the Average Joe is now forever to be referred to as a “Grabowski”.DAAAAA BEARS!If you like what we're doing, we'd love if you could spread the word by sharing the episode with a friend or leaving us a rating or review on Apple Podcasts, Spotify, or wherever you listen to podcasts. Following that dialogue, they shift their conversation to the importance of the Pacers winning big last night against the Hornets and examine some of the seedings right now with the NFL playoff picture.   (26:37-47:06) – Jon Chuckery from 92.9 The Game in Atlanta joins the program as our Query & Company Road Trip guest. He chats with Jake and Jimmy about the future of Arthur Smith with the Falcons, accesses if the Falcons want to do anything differently with Taylor Heinicke at quarterback instead of Desmond Ridder, shares what people in Indiana should be expecting with the NBA All-Star Game coming to Indianapolis in a couple months and reveals what the Falcons are better at than most teams in the NFL. (47:06-50:13) – Hour one concludes with Jake sharing a story about a person going through an Indianapolis Motor Speedway that turned out to be an Indianapolis 500 winner. (50:13-1:20:08) – The second hour of the program starts with Jake explaining his very strange infatuation and love for Bismack Biyombo. It leads to the three amigos talking about tonight's game between the Indiana Pacers and Memphis Grizzlies with Ja Morant making his home debut. Additionally, they throw out some players that they think the Pacers need to improve their defense. (1:20:08-1:35:34) – From time to time on this program, we like to put on the tin foiled hat with conspiracy theories. Jake lets Jimmy list off four different theories that he has. After Jimmy provided the theories, Jake and Eddie revealed their opinion on the theory.    (1:35:34-1:38:59) – The one o'clock hour concludes with Jake sharing a story about Marvin Harrison pertaining to his media availability as a player in connection with his son. (1:38:59-2:10:04) – Radio voice of the Indianapolis Colts in Matt Taylor makes his weekly visit with Jake and Jimmy on Query & Company to provide updates on Jonathan Taylor, Michael Pittman Jr., and decipher if Matt Gay's hip injury has impacted his effectiveness. Additionally, Matt explains what kind of team the Colts offense is with Shane Steichen and Gardner Minshew, reveals which defensive lineman is second in terms of importance to their success after DeForest Buckner, and asks Santa Jake for some Christmas presents. (2:10:04-2:20:02) – At the end of last segment Jake teased the one present that he wanted most as a kid growing up. It leads to the Super Bowl Shuffle being played coming back from break because of how insane it would be if a team did something like that again in today's age. (2:20:02-2:24:59) – Today's show ends with Jimmy sharing his JCook Plays of the Day, Eddie sharing two bets he likes, and the guys previewing the Pacers game tonight against the Grizzlies.See omnystudio.com/listener for privacy information.

Nearly forty years ago, the Super Bowl Shuffle came into being. It's been haunting Jim McMahon ever since. But it's been blessing Kristyn and Mary Mack, so that's a net positive. The Vikings may also be doing their own shuffling in the near future judging by how many unexpected wins they've been getting. In the first hour, SKOR North's Judd Zulgad talks about the Vikings upset win over the 49ers, and KSTP's Chris Egert on Rep. Tom Emmer being in play to be the new US Speaker of the House.Hour #2 features a surprise call from the immensely talented Marie Osmond who will be making her soap opera debut on October 27th when she stars in CBS' "The Bold and the Beautiful".In hour #3 we've got a packed studio with Kristyn Burtt, Mary Mack, and Jim McMahon all at the same time. You may be wondering what a Hollywood reporter, a comedian, and a football legend have in common. The answer is: it doesn't matter. Like Frasier's apartment, it's eclectic. That means "good" in fancy talk, I think. On the Family, we could talk about TV with Tim, and we do, but there's something more pressing to discuss first: the upcoming Vikings Super Bowl win. Adam debates who would qualify for a NFL Mount Rushmore before learning about the creatures he saw wash up on shore outside his house. Comedian Mark Normand joins him as they discuss garbage man arrival times and the death of the phrase “what's the meaning of this?”. They play a round of ‘Mr. Brightside' where Adam helps cheer up a caller who was hit by a drunk driver. Next, Chris reports the news. Hearing about Arnold Schwarzenegger filling up an LA pothole causes Adam to wonder why LA has the worst roads despite the good weather and high taxes people pay. They get into a Florida teacher running a middle school fight club, a 911 dispatcher getting caught sexting officers, and McDonald's testing a fully automated restaurant. Finally, former NFL player and coach, Mike Singletary, joins Adam and Mark and talks about playing for the Chicago Bears, beating the Patriots at Super Bowl XX, playing with William “the Refrigerator” Perry, the future of the Pro Bowl Games, the time the Dolphins ended the Bear's undefeated season, and the origin of “The Super Bowl Shuffle”. You may remember This Was A Thing's deep dive last season into "The Super Bowl Shuffle," where the Chicago Bears showed everyone how a sports team song can become cultural phenomenon. Well, the "Shuffle" was great for sports fans, and even helped out Chicago communities that were in need. But in 1985, the same year that the "Shuffle" was recorded, another hit single was released that took the "celebrity fundraising song" concept all the way to 11. That's when Lionel Ritchie, and Michael Jackson, with production help from Quincy Jones, teamed up to write an anthem that would rally the world around the cause of raising money to provide relief for communities in Africa. And what better way for Ritchie and Jackson to make this song a true smash than to feature their iconic singer friends?Ray teaches Rob about the origins of "We Are The World," from writing the song to the logistical nightmare of trying to get everybody from Bob Dylan to Cyndi Lauper in the same room to record together together; how Lionel Ritchie really feels about boa constrictors; how Dan Akroyd ended up being a part of the song; and other celebrity-backed relief efforts that have happened since "We Are The World," including a remake of the original. If you like what we are doing, please support us on Patreon.TEAMRay HebelRobert W. I recentlyy met Mike Tomczak at an NFL Golf Event. I had remembered him from his playing days against the Bears, the SuperBowl Shuffle and his time at Ohio State. He had a great career playing 16 years and has continued to stretch himself with many different ventures he is involved with. The best part is his relationship with Youngstown State where he remains active with the school and football team.  This show is part of the Spreaker Prime Network, if you are interested in advertising on this podcast, contact us at https://www.spreaker.com/show/5724695/advertisement

Niccole Thurman is here in person for the first time and she's fresh from the wedding of the century! Jordan Morris is also here and he's fresh from Van Nuys where he was shopping for bolo ties. Did he purchase the most amazing but also expensive one you need to hear about to believe? Also wasn't there a Vanna White video? Am I losing my mind. Plus a swimming acquired fungus, Jordan's passion for texture, some heated words about salt water taffy, my innocent transformation into a grandmother except I refused to let it happen, old people candy, The Super Bowl Shuffle, Halloween and so much more.
