The Jets dominated the NFL Honors with REVIS and KLECKO going into the Hall and Sauce and Garrett Wilson winning offensive and defensive rookies of the year. Woody Johnson talked about the Jets QB situation and called it ‘plug and play'. Brian DABOLL won Coach of The Year and we listened to his acceptance speech. Patrick MAHOMES was named MVP. Michael Irvin filed a $100 million lawsuit and Brett Favre is suing Shannon Sharpe and Pat McAfee. Sean Marks has a message for the fans who already renewed season tix before KD and Kyrie were traded. In the final segment of the hour, we talked about Woody Johnson's comments on the Jets QB situation.  Hour 2: Michael Irvin filed a $100 million lawsuit against the hotel and the accuser for a situation that went down earlier this week in Phoenix. His lawyer is claiming Irvin is a victim of cancel culture. And Brett Favre is suing Shannon Sharpe and Pat McAfee for comments about his mishandling of funds in Mississippi. The New York Jets had an amazing night at the NFL Honors at a pair of legends were elected to the Pro Football Hall of Fame. Darrelle Revis made it on the first ballot. Joe Klecko made it after a long wait. Both players left great legacies on two of the greatest eras of Jets history. It wasn't just a night to look to the past, however. The future also looks bright as the Jets became just the third team ever to sweep the Offensive and Defensive Rookie of the Year awards. I'll get into the newly minted Hall of Fame Class of 2023 as Darrelle Revis, Joe Thomas, Ronde Barber, Demarcus Ware, Zach Thomas among others, represent a strong defensive contingent that will be enshrined in Canton later this year. Who was worthy of making the Hall? You know I've got lots to say about this. Also, the retirement of Bengals & Cardinals receiver AJ Green and Tom Brady will wait a year to join FOX as his megadeal will begin in 2024. (35:54) LeBron James made history on Tuesday night as he surpassed Kareem Abdul-Jabbar for the all-time scoring leader in the NBA. Has he had the most complete career of anyone in league history? Then you had another blockbuster deal in Brooklyn right before yesterday's trade deadline. Kyrie Irving was shipped to Dallas earlier this week, then Kevin Durant was packaged with TJ Warren to Phoenix for a boatload of #1 picks, Cam Johnson, Mikal Bridges and Jae Crowder. Why I'm disappointed in KD's decision, how NBA player empowerment strikes again and what his legacy could look like moving forward is something that I haven't heard anywhere else! As for Kyrie, how his comments of being disrespected by the Nets, being a selfless leader and leaving his former team in fourth place? His delusions of grandeur isn't fooling this guy! As for the Net organization (particularly the owner, Joe Tsai) my theory of a brilliant businessman doesn't mean he can lead a professional basketball team. I'll get into some of the other trades that took place (D'Angelo Russell & Mo Bamba to the Lakers, Russell Westbrook to Utah, Eric Gordon to the Clippers, James Wiseman to Detroit, et. al.) as the All-Star Break is just a week away. (58:03) As for what's happening on the ice, the Rangers procure a former Stanley Cup winning goal scorer from St. Louis in Vladimir Tarasenko adds more punch on their frontline and championship experience in the locker room. We take some calls on the Rangers. We also take calls from people who say to get back to work in the office and others want people working from home. Jerry returns for an update and starts with Mets/Dodgers and talk that Dodger stadium smells like rat urine. The Yanks swept the Angels and Taillon had a perfect game through seven. Eric Bieniemy talks about not getting a head coaching job yet. In the final segment of the week, Dan in Carteret checks in. Last time we saw him he was bombed at the Kickoff to Summer.

Leger Douzable, Antoine Walker and Omar Kelly react to Tua Tagovailoa's comments pushing back against criticism on his arm strength. Michael is joined by former Bills and Jets defensive coordinator Dennis Thurman, who worked alongside head coach Rex Ryan with both franchises from 2008-16. Thurman, who starred at safety for Southern California, played nine seasons at cornerback for the Cowboys and Cardinals before entering coaching in 1988. He developed a terrific reputation for mentoring defensive backs during his years as a secondary coach in both college football (USC) and the NFL (Ravens and Jets) prior to becoming a coordinator. His pupils have included Troy Polamalu, Ed Reed, Chris McAlister, Samari Rolle, Darrelle Revis and Antonio Cromartie, among others. Thurman appeared in one Super Bowl as a player and reached a total of six conference championship games during his career.
