How many times have Bill Belichick and the New England Patriots brought in a new player in free agency and handed them a top-dollar contract? Stephon Gilmore, Adalius Thomas, Rosevelt Colvin, technically Darrelle Revis, and that's about it. Well, now the Patriots have made splashes by bringing in the top two tight ends on the market in Hunter Henry and Jonnu Smith and made them tied for the 3rd highest paid at their position in the entire league. And then Belichick brought in a pair of receivers in Nelson Agholor and Kendrick Bourne. And then handed the bag to pass rusher Matt Judon. And then gave a ton of money to defensive back Jalen Mills. AND THEN bolstered the defensive line with Davon Godshaux and Henry Anderson. Oh, and then they retained Justin Bethel and Cam Newton and Carl Davis and Deatrich Wise, and traded for Trent Brown. Belichick doesn't want to lose again and these moves set the Patriots up to compete for the next 5 years. Learn more about your ad choices. Visit megaphone.fm/adchoices

Next, it's time to check in with the Cardinals who were able to snap a 3-game losing streak this past weekend (11:20). As we have made our way past the halfway mark of the NBA 2019-20 regular season, almost all the players have put forward their most solid cases for an All-Star selection. As a refresher, here's the process by which All-Star picks and rosters will be made: • The five starters from each conference will be chosen by the fans, media and players. • Fans account for 50 percent of the vote. Current players and selected media members count for 25 % apiece. • Starter ballots will include two backcourt players and three frontcourt players. • Head coaches will choose seven reserves from the East and seven reserves from the West. • The All-Star starter from each conference who receives the most fan votes will be named a team captain. • Like last year, these captains will build their teams from the crop of selected starters and reserves without regard for conference affiliation. Who wants to wait that long, though? With more than a half-season of data to pull from, we have everything our crystal ball needs to predict the 2020 NBA All-Star Game reserves. Check out Episode #305 as @JaiHov ,@JEasley84, and FSP Weezy as they discuss the hottest sports news of the past week and select the 2020 NBA All Star reserves. #FSPStyle
