It takes its time, then quietly settles in and makes you realize you're smiling, relaxed, and way more comfortable than you expected.First thing you notice is the look. The experience came on slow and even, with light facial tingles, a relaxed jaw, and a very clear headspace.Genetically, Halle Berry is bred from Ice Cream Cake × Blockberry. You'll sometimes hear Blockberry casually called Blackberry, but the official Utah listing for Betty's cut specifies Blockberry. The genetics show up more in the overall vibe than in-your-face flavor.Flavor stays subtle. Slightly peppery, a little earthy, nothing loud or perfumey. This is not a strain that tries to impress your nose, it wins on how it feels.THC sits around 18 percent, which matters here. This strain doesn't rely on brute force. It's balanced, approachable, and forgiving. No racing heart. No anxiety spike. No couch lock either.As the session went on, it turned into a sneaky euphoric creeper. Floaty head, relaxed body, calm arms, and a general “everything's fine” feeling. There was even mild pain relief without the heaviness that usually comes with that territory.This is a strain we'd confidently hand to someone newer, someone sensitive, or someone who just wants to feel good without getting wrecked. It's also a solid anytime option if you want to stay functional but noticeably happier.Big win for Betty Wellness here. This week I've been hit with the curse of low energy which is a part of existing with bipolar disorder; I have always existed at some point along the sine wave. The lows can be just as bad as the highs although the highs can lead to making crazier decisions. When I'm low I just sleep a lot. This week I've been doing some listening to an audiobook of The Body Keeps The Score that was recommended to me by the therapist that I'm currently working with! I'm on chapter 4 right now and decided to take some notes on how my experience with PTSD relates to the information provided in the literature. I still have some months left on my journey of integration before I get back to utilizing cannabis as a tool to enhance my quality of life, and I finally feel like I'm beginning to make some progress on the healing of my PTSD symptoms. Rather than just abating the suffering. I hope to be in a different place mentally and spiritually before I return to one of my favorite things in the world!Support the show

This week I'm exploring a new compound that I haven't discussed on the podcast yet! Muscimol is an interesting compound with a unique pharmacological profile, it feels like a stimulating version of ambien with a slight variation on the visual auditory aspects. This compound is derived from the Amanita Muscaria mushroom and is worth exploring if you're into all of the potential experiences that our universe has created for our consciousness. I've always been fascinated by what nature can produce and this experience reinforced that notion. In this episode I'm back in the Trichocereus tent to show the progress on the TBM + the seedlings! There was a bit of sunburn and dehydration that occured when I got the flu a couple of weeks ago, and we're still in the process of healing that this week. I also go on the first hike of 2026 and discuss some of the philosophical ideas that have been floating around in my consciousness. Particularly the Jungian concept of the Dark Night Of The Soul. This week we revived the tent with some new lifeforms! Specifically a Trichocereus Bridgesii Monstrose that has three segments currently! These cacti have been utilized for thousands of years by human beings to connect and commune with the universe and are an essential tool in any explorers toolkit! I go over some of the alkaloids and triterpinoids found in this species as well as some other trichocereus varieties other than the TBM. Terpenes are found in all kinds of plants so it's important to cover all of the ones used for exploration of the mind, body, and soul!I am currently recovering from a cold so this episode is shorter, stay tuned for next week's Chrimmus special where I will be sowing seeds several other Trichocereus varieties and documenting their growth over the next few months! Thank you all for the continued support! I also talk a bit about my observations on the current state of the world and discuss my progress with getting back to baseline from 15 years of consistent cannabis use for the management of my mental health symptoms! This week we're still kicking on the no cannabis train, and I am grateful that it has been an easy transition! I attribute this to not being addicted to it; rather just dependent on the benefits for my quality of life! Addiction and dependency are two different things that can sometimes occur at the same time. However, for me, addiction is an imbalance within the soul, mind, and body rather than the actual drug itself! It's been difficult mentally since the withdrawals have cessated and I can see why PTSD is a qualifying conditions for medical cannabis! One day I will return to it with a new baseline; however I now realize the value of intermittent breaks! It will always be a tool for improving the quality of life for me, and just like any tool you can either build a house or cut your hand off with it! However, I built a pretty unstable house and so I am tearing it down to the foundation and learning new skillsets and tools to utilize in combination with cannabis when I return to it! This week is a rather sad episode, unfortunately a friend of mine has passed away. Tom Culton was an inspiration to many, a very unique soul, and it's strange how the universe works out sometimes. We had been talking about doing a 2nd conversation for TT recently and while that one won't be captured, the world at least has the first one. It is forever within the ether. These conversations & solo episodes capture an existence that is fleeting. It's painful, tragic, and you never know what's next. The only constant is change and you must embrace the flow with perseverance and internal, unshakeable happiness within your soul. So, in his honor I decided to go down to the river, enjoy a beautiful hand roll of the electric zlush, and then learn a new trick at the skatepark. I can't surf or skimboard where I am, and I had to find some way to get on a board in his honor. Also, I always find that it's important to learn new things whenever you find yourself in times of sadness. I hope your all's week is going well whenever and wherever you happen to be! This is based on several factors including ash structure, color, flavor translation, uniqueness + potency of effect, and enjoyability. This week we're down in the cave to do some dry sifting on the Dry Sift Wizard screens that a good friend of mine let me borrow! It's an honor and privilege to be able to use these to process the unused flower that I've collected over my journey across the sea of terps! The first bit of flower that we used did not yield a single trichome through the screen, so I ground up some old DC Pharma flower! This ~16g sample of flower ended up yielding 7.1ish grams of dry sift material! I also do a bit of static tech to the resin heads, however they were not able to be easily refined and even the static had some darkness to it; this isn't favorable towards producing static melt! This week we're down in the Cure Cave to do some trim work on the Amnesia Lemon Hashplant harvest! This plant dried a bit quicker than the Tropaya BX #6, and on day 14, it is ready to go into the cure jars! This round we're using Ball 16oz wide mouth jars to do the curing, slightly different than the previous round! This harvest was interesting to achieve and I am excited to see how the resin cures up. This week we're in the tomato tent getting prepared for next week's harvest of the Amnesia Lemon Hashplant #2 and #3! It's going to be a technical procedure to harvest through the two layers of trellis and I will probably end up cutting it! These plants are currently on day 111 and will likely be pulled on day 115! I am looking forward to seeing the results of this batch. It's been a long time since we've planted these and I'm hoping the time and resources expended is returned to us in quality resin!I also hit the trails again before it gets insanely hot for the summer and try out the Tropaya at two weeks of curing! Growing your own is a core tenet of Terpene Therapy, and I have been planning this project for a minute! Square Foot gardening is a good method to maximize your space to be able to sustain your own existence! I'm planning on being able to grow tomatoes, zucchini, peppers, potatoes, spinach, and several different kitchen herbs! Gotta get that soil test first though! This week I wanted to get back out into nature while we had a break from the rain to test out the progress on the Tropaya BX #6's cure process! All parts of the process are equally as important, however the cure is where you lock in months of work and preserve what you've done! There are so many batches that have been produced that don't get a proper cure and the consumption expereince can be negatively affected. This batch was grown in BAS 3.0, with some microdoses of buildaveg during vegging and water only during flower. This week, we're building out a dry-tent and chopping down the Tropaya tomatoes! This is where months of effort, stress, and pride can go straight down the drain. Drying and curing is (possibly) the most important time when it comes to producing a tomato that burns with a white ash, oil ring, and full flavor to the glass tip. The smell from the plant is very nice and has a sour candy element to it! A couple of weeks ago, I went to Shoreline Smokeout and I had the opportunity to moderate an educational panel on cultivation techniques and theory for Michigan's various environmental regions. This panel was comprised of six cultivators: Country Roots, Nick Risden/Lyme Rising Farms, Rising Moon Medicinals, Ray Kudronic, Thee Mustache, and Ohana Farms MI. We captured perspectives on genetic selections, soil preparation mindsets + methods, planting strategies, pest management, and more!
