In dieser Episode spreche ich ausführlich über ein Thema, das mir im Alltag ständig begegnet und zu dem ich immer wieder Fragen bekomme: Greenscreen in der B2B-Videokommunikation. Ist das wirklich ein Must-have oder inzwischen eher ein Relikt aus vergangenen Produktionszeiten? Ich nehme Dich mit hinter die Kulissen und erkläre Dir, was Greenscreen technisch bedeutet und wo die Herausforderungen liegen. Dabei geht es nicht nur um Licht, Abstand und Technik, sondern vor allem um den enormen Produktionsaufwand, der häufig unterschätzt wird. Denn die Realität sieht oft anders aus als die perfekte Illusion, die man aus Film und Fernsehen kennt. Du erfährst, warum selbst kleine Fehler beim Keying sofort sichtbar werden und wie schnell ungewollte Effekte entstehen können. Von abgeschnittenen Haaren bis hin zu grünlichen Gesichtern ist alles dabei, wenn Setup und Licht nicht exakt stimmen. Ein weiterer wichtiger Punkt ist die Wirkung auf Deine Zuschauer. Talking Stones #RTTBROS #NightlightWhen Stones Tell StoriesI drove out past Hollister today and came across the crumbling remains of an old lava rock building standing alone in a winter field. The walls have mostly fallen, the roof is long gone, and frost clings to the dark stones. It's a ruin now, but somebody once built that structure with intention and effort. Somebody had a story there.It made me think of an old question from Scripture. In Joshua 4, after God miraculously stopped the Jordan River so Israel could cross on dry ground, He told them to take twelve stones from the riverbed and set them up as a memorial. Then He said this would happen:"When your children shall ask their fathers in time to come, saying, What mean these stones? Then ye shall let your children know, saying, Israel came over this Jordan on dry land. For the LORD your God dried up the waters of Jordan from before you, until ye were passed over... That all the people of the earth might know the hand of the LORD, that it is mighty: that ye might fear the LORD your God for ever." (Joshua 4:21-24)What mean these stones? It's a question meant to spark remembrance, to keep alive the testimony of God's faithfulness for the next generation.Those lava rock ruins out in that frozen field don't tell me about Israel crossing Jordan, but they do remind me that every believer has stones of remembrance in their own life. Moments when God showed up. Times when He made a way. Seasons when His faithfulness held you together when everything else was falling apart.Don't let those memories crumble into forgotten ruins. Rehearse them. Tell them to your children. Speak them to yourself when doubt creeps in. Let the stones testify: God was faithful then. He is faithful now. Let me share one with you that's almost too wild to believe.Have you heard the story of Waylon Prendergast? This Tampa, Florida, man had been out drinking when he decided to rob a house on his way home. The drunken man forced his way into the house, filled a suitcase he found there with the valuables he discovered, and made his way to the living room. In his stupor he decided it would be a good idea to set a fire to cover his tracks, so he ignited a blaze before making his way out the back door. Thinking he was home free, he continued on to his house, only to find three fire trucks parked outside fighting the blaze he had set to cover his theft from his own home.I wish I could say that was just a made-up story to prove a point, but it really happened. And here's what strikes me about it: Waylon's story is a perfect picture of what sin does in our lives, especially when we're under the influence of something that clouds our judgment.The Bible doesn't pull any punches about alcohol. It says wine is a mocker and strong drink is raging. Those aren't just poetic words, they're a warning. When we're deceived by drink, we can't trust our own decision-making. We end up doing things that hurt the very life we're trying to live.But here's the thing, and I've learned this too soon old and too late smart, it's not just alcohol that makes us burn down our own houses. It's any sin we think we can control, any habit we think we can manage, any compromise we think won't really hurt us. We tell ourselves we're in control, that we're just having a little fun, that we deserve this, that nobody will know. And before we realize it, we've set fire to our own peace, our own family, our own walk with God.According to a study published in The Washington Post a few years ago, almost one-third of adults in America admit they either have now or have had in the past a problem with drinking. None of these people started out intending to become alcoholics or dependent on their next drink to make it through the day. But that is where the path they set out on leads.The good news is this: God's grace is stronger than any chain that binds us. But we have to be honest about what's holding us. We have to stop pretending we're robbing someone else's house when we're actually destroying our own. The first step to freedom is recognizing the deception for what it is.So let me ask you today: what are you playing with that's actually playing with you? What habit are you protecting that's slowly destroying what you love? God's Word gives us wisdom not to rob us of joy, but to keep us from burning down our own lives.Let's pray: Father, give us the courage to see the truth about the things we've been deceived by. This week is a rather sad episode, unfortunately a friend of mine has passed away. Tom Culton was an inspiration to many, a very unique soul, and it's strange how the universe works out sometimes. We had been talking about doing a 2nd conversation for TT recently and while that one won't be captured, the world at least has the first one. It is forever within the ether. These conversations & solo episodes capture an existence that is fleeting. It's painful, tragic, and you never know what's next. The only constant is change and you must embrace the flow with perseverance and internal, unshakeable happiness within your soul. So, in his honor I decided to go down to the river, enjoy a beautiful hand roll of the electric zlush, and then learn a new trick at the skatepark. I can't surf or skimboard where I am, and I had to find some way to get on a board in his honor. Also, I always find that it's important to learn new things whenever you find yourself in times of sadness. I hope your all's week is going well whenever and wherever you happen to be! The audio was trash while skating so at the end of the video, I dedicated a song titled Pillars Of Creation to Tom. It's followed by some good ol' wisdom and and a fun memory that I have recorded from our time together out on their farm. The Midnight Hour #RTTBROS #Nightlight The Midnight HourWhen God's timing seems all wrong"And at midnight Paul and Silas prayed, and sang praises unto God: and the prisoners heard them." (Acts 16:25)There's a story that happened on July 16, 1969, that most people have never heard. While the whole world was watching Apollo 11 launch toward the moon, a maintenance worker named Frank Borman was working the night shift at NASA's Mission Control. Around midnight, all the computer systems started showing errors that could have ended the mission before it really began.Frank had been working double shifts for weeks, he was exhausted, and honestly, he was tempted to wake up the day shift supervisor and let someone else handle the crisis. But something told him to stay with it. For the next four hours, he worked through every possible solution until he found the problem, a tiny loose connection that was causing all the chaos. His midnight diligence helped save the mission that would put the first man on the moon.Sometimes our most important work happens at midnight, when nobody's watching, when we're tired and discouraged, when it would be easier to quit than to keep going.Paul and Silas understood this. They had been beaten with rods, thrown into prison, and locked in stocks. It was midnight, literally and figuratively, the darkest hour of their circumstances.But instead of complaining, they prayed and sang praises to God. And here's what gets me about this story, the other prisoners were listening. In their darkest hour, Paul and Silas became a witness to people who desperately needed hope.Then God showed up. An earthquake shook the prison, the doors flew open, and everyone's chains fell off. The jailer ended up getting saved along with his whole family. What looked like the worst thing that could happen became the setup for God's greatest work.I've learned over the years that our midnight hours often become our ministry hours. During my own dark seasons, when the church was struggling or criticism was heavy, I learned things about God's faithfulness that I never could have learned in the sunshine seasons.You know, it's easy to praise God when everything is going well. But the real test of our faith comes at midnight, when the bottom drops out, when the diagnosis is bad, when the relationship fails.The question isn't whether you'll face midnight hours, you will. The question is: what will you do when they come? Will you complain and give up, or will you pray and sing praises like Paul and Silas?Maybe you're in a midnight hour right now. Let me encourage you with this: keep praying, keep praising, keep trusting. This week we're down in the cave to do some dry sifting on the Dry Sift Wizard screens that a good friend of mine let me borrow! It's an honor and privilege to be able to use these to process the unused flower that I've collected over my journey across the sea of terps! The first bit of flower that we used did not yield a single trichome through the screen, so I ground up some old DC Pharma flower! This ~16g sample of flower ended up yielding 7.1ish grams of dry sift material! I also do a bit of static tech to the resin heads, however they were not able to be easily refined and even the static had some darkness to it; this isn't favorable towards producing static melt! This week we're down in the Cure Cave to do some trim work on the Amnesia Lemon Hashplant harvest! This plant dried a bit quicker than the Tropaya BX #6, and on day 14, it is ready to go into the cure jars! This round we're using Ball 16oz wide mouth jars to do the curing, slightly different than the previous round! This harvest was interesting to achieve and I am excited to see how the resin cures up. This week we're in the tomato tent getting prepared for next week's harvest of the Amnesia Lemon Hashplant #2 and #3! It's going to be a technical procedure to harvest through the two layers of trellis and I will probably end up cutting it! These plants are currently on day 111 and will likely be pulled on day 115! I am looking forward to seeing the results of this batch. It's been a long time since we've planted these and I'm hoping the time and resources expended is returned to us in quality resin!I also hit the trails again before it gets insanely hot for the summer and try out the Tropaya at two weeks of curing! I mixed a piece of one of the colas with some of the trim bin hash and it was surprisingly potent and flavorful!
