One of God's greatest gifts to us is friendships, especially what our guest Rev. Dr. Victoria White calls “holy friendships.” These are the friendships that not only make life more enjoyable and more creative, but they are also core to who we are and who we become. They are “mutual and sacred relationships formed in God's love,” and they help us be who God designs us to be. She gives us permission to drop the idea that we have to be hyper-productive lone rangers in the world and calls us to spend more time with our friends. She points out that even Jesus depended on the diversity and friendship of his disciples for his ministry. We are excited for you to hear this conversation on the life-giving importance of holy friendship. Listen with a friend over coffee!Quotations"Our society has commodified friendship and developed it into something that can be consumed. The church offers a real opportunity for us to cultivate the conditions for more authentic, more mutual, more holy relationships that help form us into the people God is creating us to be."Rev. Dr. Victoria White"My holy friends are going to do that for me because they know that my work matters; they know that what I am doing contributes to the way that I am bearing witness to God's work in this world."Rev. Dr. Victoria White"You know you're in a holy friendship when you can be uber confident and unashamedly yourself."Rev. Dr. Victoria WhiteWe discuss:The different forms that holy friendships can take and how they can impact various aspects of life. (6:00)The power of friendship in forming disciples and the importance of cultivating authentic relationships in the church. (11:39)The positive impact of spending time with friends on energy, creativity, and overall performance in various aspects of life. How does neurodivergence affect pregnancy and birth? I speak to doula Victoria White, who founded Neurodivergent Birth in February 2023. Victoria aims to increase understanding and awareness of neurodivergent perinatal experiences. Victoria's daughter was diagnosed as autistic in 2022, and Victoria has also recently been exploring her own neurodivergence. Following her daughter's diagnosis, she read everything she could get her hands on about neurodiversity, and she began to see how many aspects of pregnancy, birth and the postnatal period could be challenging and experienced differently by neurodivergent people. She launched an Instagram page and a podcast to facilitate the conversation. The response that this was a much-needed space within the birth world was overwhelmingly positive, and she began to have many wonderful and informative conversations with neurodivergent people, healthcare professionals and researchers via the podcast. This then led to the development of a competency workshop for birthworkers; ‘Supporting Neurodivergent Birth', which she co-facilitates with fellow doula and autistic advocate Sam Sheppard. EPISODE 145: COUNTDOWN WITH KEITH OLBERMANN A-Block (1:42) SPECIAL COMMENT: The President must fire FBI Director Christopher Wray, and the Senate must conduct hearings into Fox "News" to see if it can be stopped and if the citizenships of Rupert Murdoch, Lachlan Murdoch, and the others, can be revoked. The FBI: The Washington Post's reporting on the FBI's attempt to shut down the investigation, then the search, and finally the prosecution in the Trump case requires nothing less than the immediate dismissal of the director - if we can get him off Fox Non-News for a moment - and most of the now-rogue FBI Washington Field Office. Agents and then the Bureau Chief believed Trump and his attorney, instead of their bosses, and the judge, and the Constitution. Fire everybody. Fox Non-News: Chuck Schumer and Hakeem Jeffries sent a searing six-paragraph letter to Murdoch et al. It demands they chose between "lying to their viewers" and "honest reporting." The money is in the former, and Rupert Murdoch made this decision in 1952. What is necessary is something to scare the crap out of Murdoch: charges against hm for an illegal contribution-in-kind to the Trump campaign, if Tucker Carlson shows any of the 1/6 video - and convening a hearing dragging these bastards before the Senate. B-Block (20:53) POSTSCRIPTS TO THE NEWS: I got Senator Mike Lee's twitter account suspended briefly yesterday. So THAT happened. And boring as he is, Merrick Garland still managed to blow up Ted Cruz yesterday. (25:00) THE WORST PERSONS IN THE WORLD: Rep. Boebert forgets about them new states, Alaska and Hawaii; Rep. Donalds, who met with a 1/6 Seditionist INSIDE THE CAPITOL, and Ronda Santis, who has forgotten one detail in his scheme to dictate what Disney does and doesn't put in their movies and shows. C-Block (30:15) EVERY DOG HAS ITS DAY: Poor Magnus got pulled out of the NYC pound only to come down with pneumonia. (31:15) THINGS I PROMISED NOT TO TELL: A sports fan so ardent he used to wager on baseball spring training games AND do impressions of sportscasters, including me. It's the story of the day I got to meet the late great actor Walter Matthau.See omnystudio.com/listener for privacy information.

Warning: Explicit Conversations About Politics, Culture, & Sexuality It's a tag team smack-down in the Womb Room with the amazing Dave Bautista, aka “The Animal,” aka “The Beast,” in one corner, and a Bevy of Beauties in another. Dr. Suzy is referee in this erotically epic contest of libido-wrestling, muscle-flexing, stripping, pole-dancing, BJ tournaments, orgasm races and a wild, face-to-crotch, upside-down, WWE maneuver known as the Batista Bomb. Though Bautista keeps his pants on (but not his shirt!), we “unleash the Beast”… in a Bonobo Way. Broadcast live 12/10/2011 on DrSuzy.Tv, Dave was just shifting from “Batista” (his WWE Champ name) to Bautista (his real name), promoting his acting role in The Man with the Iron Fists, a stepping stone toward playing the iconic Drax in Guardians of the Galaxy. A real-life Angel (Angela Sommers) puts The Animal to the test, plus Destiny Dixon, Samantha Saint, Victoria White and Daisy Delight all put up a good fight for Bautista's beleaguered libido—and put on a spectacular show—but does it work or does the Champ stays true to his GF? Watch and find out! Also includes Anthony Winn, co-creator of Stripperella with the late great Stan Lee, creating new art (of Dr. Suzy!), and the Speakeasy rocks out into a wild after-party of sex, fun and wrestling with naked angels… because aren't wrestlers and porn stars—the beauties and the beasts—among the greatest real-life comic book characters we know?
