Perk and Gina are ready for All-Star Weekend but first they react to the Lemon Pepper Freestyle from Drake and Rick Ross. Perk asks if Drake deserves GOAT consideration and if this is these are the best verses we've ever seen from him. Thanks to Dame Lillard, Perks draws even with Gina 2-2 in the Ten Pack Challenge as they recap the Warriors/Blazers game. Perks continues the Drake love with his college basketball bets taking Drake over Northern Iowa as well as South Alabama, Florida State and Villanova. Perk makes a case that players should have the option and ability to buy into the franchise that they've helped raise the value of and thinks KG has gotten a raw deal in Minnesota. The All-Star Teams are set, Gina and Perk called that Rudy Gobert would go last but were a little surprised Lebron took Giannis first. They disagree over to bet the over/under 308.5 as Perk thinks the players play defense now. Plus, picks for 3-Point Contest, Skills Challenge and Slam Dunk Contest. Then Perk and Gina look at the latest odds for NBA Regular Season Awards as Joel Embiid is playing at a MVP level, LaMelo is a lock for Rookie of the Year, plus Defensive Player of the Year, Sixth Man and why Julius Randle has separated himself from the rest of the pacl for Most Improved. Perk discusses his teams on the rise for the second half as the Knicks and Suns continue to impress and he gives his Carry-On award to a deserving Memphis Grizzlies' guard. Finally, would Blake Griffin make any difference on the Brooklyn Nets? The Betting Academy: Hoops Edition is a collaboration between The Gaming Society and the Extra Points Podcast Network.

What would have happened if the Warriors actually tried Tuesday? In Game 1 of the Western Conference Finals Tuesday, Golden State turned in what was effectively a lax, regular-season effort. They still beat the Portland Trail Blazers by 22 points. What would have gone down had the Warriors played more than five, maybe 10 minutes of focused, playoff-caliber basketball? Would they have won by 30? What about 40? The Blazers just don’t have the players to match up with Golden State — even without Kevin Durant and DeMarcus Cousins in the fold. On top of that, they don’t have the schemes to get the most out of the guys they have. Within the first few possessions of Game 1, it was clear that the Warriors would be able to coast to victory.
