Hour 1: We opened the show talking about the Giants making the playoffs and how nobody would have thought that at the start of the season. Boomer said Daniel Jones played the perfect game for this team. Gio said Brian Daboll has to be coach of the year. Mike White played hurt yesterday and was only a fraction of the player he is when he's not hurt. Boomer said the Jets are back in the QB market again, but Derek Carr is not a good fit here. Boomer would kick the tires on Baker Mayfield. C-Lo is in for Jerry and starts with the Landon Collins pick-6 in the Giants win against the Colts. It looks like both Daniel Jones and Saquon Barkley will be back on multi-year deals. The Jets did Jets things and lost in a big spot without being competitive on offense. That is the fifth straight loss for the Jets. In the final segment of the hour, we talked about the Niners/Raiders and Aaron Rodgers being a game away from making the playoffs again. Hour 2: Some Jets fans want Rob Saleh fired and Sean Peyton hired, but that's not happening. Boomer says there is no way the Jets should bring Zach Wilson back. Boomer thinks Jets fans would love Baker Mayfield. C-Lo returns for an update and starts with the Giants win over the Colts which put them into the playoffs. Gio wants to know where all of the people are that supported Jeff Saturday when he was hired. The Jets put together another late season dud. In the final segment of the hour, Boomer was very impressed by Daniel Jones' performance yesterday and wants to rest him vs the Eagles. Hour 3: Tom Brady is in the playoffs again, for the 14th year in a row. Does Brady want to stay with the Bucs after the season is over? We go over potential NFC Wild Card matchups. We also talked about the Jets and whether Rob Saleh is the coach for them going forward. Boomer thinks Mike White was at 75% yesterday because of his injury. Gio does an impression of the Vikings Center. ‘Snap the ball you idiot!' C-Lo returns for an update, but first Gio tells a story about a frozen lasagna and a smoky fireplace. Brian Daboll keeps Daniel Jones in the game so he can get a standing ovation. Geno Smith and the Seahawks beat the Jets quite easily as the Jets didn't have much offense at all. Geno didn't get any extra satisfaction in beating the Jets. In the final segment of the hour, we talked about Daniel Jones' performance from yesterday and the season so far. Hour 4: Gio said because he trashed the Giants going into the season, it is his destiny that the Giants will go into Minnesota and knock the Vikings out of the playoffs in the Wild Card round. A caller wants the Jets to sign two top tier QBs. Callers want Derek Carr, Jimmy G and Aaron Rodgers for the Jets. C-Lo returns for an update but first Gio may participate in a Biggest Loser contest in Sayville. Brian Daboll talked about making the playoffs and getting a Gatorade bath. Boomer said Brian Daboll isn't in the best of health and Gio wonders why he mentions that right after they get into the playoffs. The Jets lost in Seattle and Mike White was not impressed with his play. Aaron Rodgers looked for Tracy Wolfson after the game because he was in a good mood after beating the Vikings. In the final segment of the show, if the Giants go to Minnesota for the Wild Card game, who would be the favorite? Tiki Barber just got back from New Zealand. He was only there for 1 day. We also played a round of guessing the spread for the final week of the NFL season.

Hour 3 Ron Darling joins us to talk about the Mets/Padres series. Ronnie says the Braves are more of a HR team than the Padres, so there shouldn't be a fear of the Padres hitting HRs off Scherzer & deGrom like the Braves did. He also thinks the Mets are overthinking it and they should throw Scherzer & deGrom back to back in games 1 & 2. Jerry returns for an update and has audio from Max Scherzer about tonight's start against the Padres. Buck Showalter won't say who is pitching game 2. Does Eddie put classical music on for his dogs? The Colts beat the Broncos last night in the most boring and terrible game ever. Richard Sherman was yelling to ‘run the ball' on TNF. We have an update on the Kadarius Toney injury and it's not good. The Vegas Raiders announced the death of a former player who is still alive. In the final segment of the hour, Gio talks about a clip from a few years ago when Landon Collins was in the studio and they talked about Dave Gettleman. Next TNF is Bears/Commanders, which will be brutal. Boomer goes over the percentages for the various MLB teams to win the World Series. Gio says there will be sphincter shrinkage at Citi Field if the Mets go down 2-0 tonight.
Hour 1: The Mets/Padres series gets underway tonight with Max Scherzer on the hill. His Mets history starts tonight. Last night Russell Wilson and the rest of the Broncos & Colts set football back 25 years with their terrible play. It was nothing but field goals and it took overtime to get a winner. Jerry is here for his first update and starts with a preview of Mets/Padres with audio from Buck Showalter, Max Scherzer and Pete Alonso. The Colts beat the Broncos in an ugly game and Jerry has some play by play sound and reaction from the news anchors in Denver. Zach Wilson is walking into Sunday's game against Miami with a new confidence. In the final segment of the hour, we talked about the Giants injuries and the massive bust that is Kadarius Toney. Boomer says the Giants may be 3-1, but it's not going to last. Hour 2: The Mets and Padres Wild Card Series gets underway tonight at Citi Field. Starling Marte is starting to grip things but the Mets don't know if he will make the playoff roster. Gio refuses to watch out of market baseball playoffs. Jerry returns for an update, but first Gio tells us the pharmacy in his town is a complete disaster. The Mets & Padres get underway tonight and Buck talks about Starling Marte. Manny Machado talks about Buck turning around the Mets. Geno Smith is getting cocky with reporters in Seattle. The Giants went to London to play the Packers. Tom Brady met the media and said ‘I'll be there Sunday'. In the final segment of the hour, we have no more Gary, Keith & Ron now that the games go national. Keith's contract is up now. SNY has to sign him, but Boomer says maybe he only wants to do home games now. Hour 3: Ron Darling joins us to talk about the Mets/Padres series. Gio says there will be sphincter shrinkage at Citi Field if the Mets go down 2-0 tonight. Hour 4: Going to be a big sports weekend with Mets/Padres, Giants/Packers and Jets/Dolphins. Boomer says he's going to the Rangers opener on Tuesday night. Gio says he can't do that with the Yankees playing and potentially the Mets playing as well. We take calls from positive pumped up Mets fans and a few pessimistic fans who think the season's over. Jerry returns for his final update of the day and starts with Max Scherzer on the pressures of October. Last night's TNF game between the Colts and Broncos was a complete mess. Richard Sherman was screaming for them to run the ball. Local news anchors in Denver called Russell Wilson awful. Zach Wilson said the Jets are confident going into the game against the Dolphins. There will likely be new concussion protocols in the NFL starting Sunday. Tom Brady has been watching a lot of bad football in the NFL. In the final segment of the week, we have our NFL Picks.

Locked On Steelers – Daily Podcast On The Pittsburgh Steelers
Chris Carter, NFL and NCAAF analyst, hosts the Locked on Steelers podcast with Josh Taylor of KDKA-TV as his guest. The Pittsburgh Steelers' signing of Myles Jack makes for an interesting pair of linebackers with him and Devin Bush. But how can they play off each others' strengths and weaknesses, and how can Mike Tomlin and Kevin Colbert mold the defense around them to make the unit elite again? A lot of their traits as linebackers shown on film explain how their skillsets match with each other to give Pittsburgh two real athletes at linebacker. But Bush has to get back to playing at a high level like he was before his injury. The chances of that happening are higher than fans think, and the Steelers getting back Stephon Tuitt would go a long way to helping both Jack and Bush produce at linebacker. But the Steelers' remaining free agency plans and NFL Draft strategy to address safety and the defensive line with prospects like Jordan Davis, Devonte Wyatt, Travis Jones, Lewis Cine and Jaquan Brisker all as potential first round targets. Locked On Steelers – Daily Podcast On The Pittsburgh Steelers
Chris Carter, NFL and NCAAF analyst, host of the Locked on Steelers podcast is joined by Tony Serino of AFC North Talk. The Cleveland Browns' trade for Deshaun Watson puts the Pittsburgh Steelers at a quarterback disadvantage with Mitch Trubisky against Watson, Joe Burrow and Lamar Jackson. But how do they overcome it? Mike Tomlin and Kevin Colbert have had a plan to build an elite defense with a strong round game around Najee Harris to take the pressure of Trubisky or Mason Rudolph. But can the Steelers' defense become elite? There's still a need at strong safety with Terrell Edmunds, Tyrann Mathieu, Landon Collins and Keanu Neal all available. But what's the best play? And with the presumed commitment to building an elite defense, are the Steelers locked into a defensive pick in the first round like Jordan Davis, Devonte Wyatt, Andrew Booth Jr., Derek Stingley Jr., Lewis Cine, or Devin Lloyd?Follow Chris Carter on Twitter: @CarterCritiques.Theme music is 'Soul Kick' by Ceddy P, and 'Too Easy' by Nerdboy. Will the Steelers make a big move?Mitch Trubisky, Myles Jack, James Daniels, Levi Wallace and Jason Cole all addressed Pittsburgh media for the first time, speaking about the culture of the organization and how Tomlin, Brian Flores and Cam Heyward have all played big parts in their joining the team. Meanwhile, the Cleveland Browns can't get out of their own way and appear to be headed to a divorce with Baker Mayfield.Follow Chris Carter on Twitter: @CarterCritiques.Theme music is 'Soul Kick' by Ceddy P, and 'Too Easy' by Nerdboy. JP Finlay, Mitch Tischler and Pete Hailey recorded this Washington Football Talk right as the legal tampering period of free agency began, but even if some Washington-related news occurs after its publish time, the show is still worth your while. In this installment, the guys react to Scott Turner's new contract extension, Brandon Scherff joining the Jaguars, Landon Collins becoming a cap casualty and how much JD McKissic is worth to the franchise. If you like podcasts where Mitch powers through after a weekend in Miami plus the departure of an All-Pro lineman (and hate podcasts where JP brings up the potential of a Terry McLaurin-less future), then this is the episode for you.See Privacy Policy at https://art19.com/privacy and California Privacy Notice at https://art19.com/privacy#do-not-sell-my-info.
