Payton Chang is the the Social Media Manager for the Miami Dolphins along with their properties including Hard Rock Stadium, Miami Open, and Formula 1 Miami Grand Prix. Prior to her work with the Dolphins Payton worked for Athletes Unlimited as the Social Media Coordinator throughout their inaugural softball, volleyball, and lacrosse seasons and Tokyo 2021 coverage. Payton's first job in sports came with Wasserman Media Group where she led a project working with the NFL and Microsoft Surface partnership for their Super Bowl LIV campaign. Payton did her undergraduate work at Stanford University where she earned a B.A. in Science, Technology, and Society with a concentration in Communication and Media. At Stanford, Payton was a member of the varsity indoor and beach volleyball teams where she was a part of two NCAA National Championships. She finished her volleyball career at Northwestern as a graduate transfer where she also earned her masters in Sports Administration.

Guest: Noah LaRoche, Player Development Basketball Coach In this week's coaching conversation, player development basketball coach Noah LaRoche joins the Basketball Podcast to share insights into researching and tinkering with basketball. Noah LaRoche is the owner of integrity hoops and as a player development consultant and coach he helps college players prepare for the draft he works with pros like Blake Griffin, Anthony Davis, Russell Westbrook, Harrison Barnes, Paul George, Victor Oladipo, and Diana Taurasi to name a few. After his playing career at Saint Joseph's of Maine playing for Rob Sanicola, LaRoche linked to Mike Procopio at Attack Athletics in Chicago, and for two summers he worked under world-renowned trainer Tim Grover, whose elite client list includes Michael Jordan, Kobe Bryant, Charles Barkley, and other NBA stars. This experience earned LaRoche a job at Tilton Academy in New Hampshire, followed by a stint with a successful Chinese Basketball Association team. The next year, he made it to the NBA, working with the coaching staff of the Oklahoma City Thunder. Today, Noah LaRoche splits his time between the East and West Coasts. As a player development consultant for the Wasserman Media Group, an agency that represents over 50 WNBA and NBA players, he flies each spring to Los Angeles, where he helps college players prepare for the draft. Papa John's International Inc. founder and former CEO John Schnatter opened up about his ouster from the pizza chain he started on this week's Access Louisville podcast.He also discusses the existence of two tapes, which he say proves there was a choreographed setup aimed at removing him. These tapes have not been made public, but are a part of a lawsuit Schnatter has again 247 Group LLC (doing business as Laundry Service) and Wasserman Media Group. Schnatter left the Papa John's in 2018 after a report surfaced he allegedly used a racial slur while on a media training call with Laundry Service. Steve Astephen had an entrepreneurial spirit from day one, beginning his career owning 'The Otherside', an iconic snowboard shop in the early 90’s. The shop’s success, along with the loyalty and life long relationships Steve developed within the snowboard community, led him to his passion of managing sports talent. In 1994, Astephen became the Team Manager of Lamar Snowboards and dominated the industry by signing some of the most powerful teams in the sport. Astephen then founded the first action sports agency, fittingly named, 'The Familie.' His success quickly grew a roster of over 30 of the world’s top action sports athletes, spanning across- BMX, motocross, snowboarding, skateboarding, surfing, and wake-boarding. By 1999, The Familie was established as the premier action sports marketing and athlete management agency with services that included marketing, public relations, creative, licensing, trend research, event activation and consulting. In April 2003, Astephen partnered with Wasserman Media Group where he served as the Managing Partner for 16 years. Astephen was instrumental to the growth of Wasserman as they became the largest athlete representation agency, growing to over 1,600 athletes and representing countless Fortune 500 brands. During this time Astephen was selected by Sports Business Journal as one of its coveted "Forty Under 40" in sports. Astephen, left Wasserman mid-2019 to revive his own agency, The Familie V2, a representation and brand building agency working across sports, music, art, and media. Astephen remains an active investor and advisor today for brands such as Hoonigan Media Machine, Stance socks, Kopari, Art of Sport and Nixon. He currently resides in Cardiff, CA. Casey Wasserman, chairman of the bid group that brought the 2028 Olympics to Los Angeles, addresses the International Olympic Committee's changing approach to awarding the Games. He also addresses a host of financial issues surrounding the Olympics, including how L.A.'s existing infrastructure will prevent the kinds of white elephants and exploding spending that has marred previous bids. He also talks about the city's privately financed Games, and how the Olympics will actually help to ease the city's much-maligned traffic.
