Those old enough probably remember the promotional game and possibly played themselves, however, not many know the insane true story about how a handful of people managed to rig the game to win the prizes for themselves! Mama Fran's segments get's some new music and she and Joe pick some bones!

In 1987 the always popular McDonald's fast food empire partnered with Simon Marketing to introduce McDonald's Monopoly. The promotional campaign, based on the well known board game, awarded small and large prizes on certain menu items via winning game pieces. But starting in 1989 and continuing through 2000, the game was rigged by one man who had been put in charge of distributing the winning pieces across the country. He opted to steal the winning pieces and sold them off, amassing millions over the course of his scam. The FBI caught wind of his scheme and took him down in 2001, but for many the idea that their favorite fast food prize game had been rigged was infuriating. In 2001, Ronald McDonald's world was turned upside down. The popular McDonald's Monopoly promotion was now apart of a lawsuit and it was known worldwide that all top winners, weren't winners at all. 

This is a good one right here. Firstly, we talk about the McMillions scandal. That is of course the McDonald's Monopoly game and how it was rigged by a man named Uncle Jerry, for the ENTIRETY of it's run.
