The Celtics last night were scheduled to take on the defending NBA Champion Milwaukee Bucks for the 1st time this season. However the game was far from the spectacle every was hoping to see as major names from both teams were missing which left the anticipation for the game at a much more lower level. The Celtics were already with Jaylen Brown for 2 games and knew he wasn't gonna play in this game as he is expected to remain out a few more games. Yet despite Browns absence people seemed to feel the Celtics were playing better without him. Meanwhile the Bucks were coming into this game with Khris Middleton who had missed 6 straight and Brook Lopez who had missed 11 straight both expected to be out. Then 1 hour before tip off Giannis Antetokounmpo was ruled out as well meaning the Bucks would be without 3 of their starting 5 players. You would think the Celtics would have this game in hand and it would be rather easy knowing they still had Jayson Tatum to lead the way right? NOPE. The celtics would come away with the win but the Celtics would end up allowing the injury riddled Milwaukee Bucks team to forced them all the way into overtime before they finally said enough is enough and would put them away. The Celtics needed a monster performance from Dennish Schroder in order this win this game as Schroder scored 38 points on 16/27 shooting in 41 minutes while Tatum added 27 points, Smart had 19 and Timelord added 12. Schroder was honored with an M.V.P chant as he took free throws late in the OT for his performance as Schroder was the difference maker for the Celtics in this game but many feel the fact the Celtics even were in the position to lose this game ws a bad look on their part. So we will discuss this game and that very topic with our special guest Bobby Krivitsky (@BobbyKrivitsky on twitter) who will join us.

Two decades into the 21st century and women are still breaking glass ceilings in sports. Midwest-born broadcaster Lisa Byington has been shattering industry glass for years. This year alone, she became the first woman in history to call play-by-play during NCAA men's basketball tournament. Months later, Byington was named the first full-time play-by-play announcer for an NBA team, the 2021 NBA Champion Milwaukee Bucks. Byington talked about grunt work and glory jobs with AB editor Tabatha Wethal in September, roughly a week after the Bucks announcement, and by then, sports media veteran Kate Scott had been announced as the second full-time female play-by-play announcer for a major men's professional sports team as the new voice of the NBA's Philadelphia 76ers.

Part III of III focuses on family and winning. Giannis's father dies unexpectedly, shocking the family. "We are our father's legacy," Giannis stressed to his brothers. The Bucks hire Coach Bud and rise in the East, Giannis wins back-to-back MVP's, and crescendos with him signing the supermax contract to stay with the Milwaukee Bucks. It's extra sweet to read as a Bucks fan. We are NBA champions and Giannis, of all current players, has the best shot to compete for the title of GOAT. * Author, Mirin Fader, writes about the life of Giannis Antetokounmpo of the NBA Champion Milwaukee Bucks in a new biography called "Giannis: The Improbable Rise of an NBA MVP." His progress and success continues at such a rapid rate that his biography is already out of date. At the age of 26, he's already NBA Finals MVP. Part II of III we focus on his experience coming to America, adjusting culturally, and the franchise situation he found himself immersed in. His former teammates offer insight into what he was like as a person and player at that time. His hard work and determination to get better shine. No matter what, he's not going to change as a human being despite newfound attention and success. His family grounds him and, after two failed visa attempts, they join him in America. The Milwaukee Bucks' run to win the 2021 NBA Championship was nothing short of remarkable. So what do business leaders, marketers, and the Bucks have in common? Find out in this week's special edition of Manufacturing Happy Hour. Last Friday, we sat down with Richie Burke - Founder of GoGeddit Marketing & Media and life-long Bucks fan - to riff about the incredible turnaround the Bucks organization has made over the latter half of the past decade and the selfless displays of leadership we saw in the NBA Finals. From holistic branding to humility to our favorite moments of the playoffs, this episode was a ton of fun to record and should have plenty of takeaways for manufacturing leaders and beyond.

We back. Obviously a lot has happened in the three weeks we didn't do an episode, so we cover it all. We talk about the 2021 NBA Champion Milwaukee Bucks, Giannis' accession to a new level of superstar status, and the Bucks sustainability as contenders (as long as they have Giannis they are contenders lol). We also talk about the series, what went wrong for the Suns, and when the series started to shift towards Milwaukee's favor. Then we get into the NBA Draft this upcoming Thursday. We go over Cade vs Mobley, what the Rockets should really do at 2, Chris' love for Jonathan Kuminga, other prospects, and what the Warriors should do with the picks, which ties into.... What will Bradley Beal decide to do? Will he request a trade? What can the Warriors offer to get him if he does want out of Washington? Then last and probably, definitely least, we go into Team USA's shaky start, and their loss to France.

Vinnie Goodwill of Yahoo! Sports is one of the best hoop writers out there. On the morning after the Milwaukee Bucks won the 2021 NBA Championship, he joined Monica McNutt for a breakdown of Giannis Antetokounmpo's brilliant performance and his remarkable approach to his team and career. Vinnie also shares thoughts on what is next for Chris Paul as he approaches the twilight of his Hall of Fame career. Vinnie and Monica have a great discussion of how this year's version of the Bucks began to develop a special bond after the team hit "PAUSE" in the Orlando Bubble in the wake of the Jacob Blake shooting last summer in Kenosha, Wisconsin. And there are some very funny technical difficulties that cause Vinnie and Bruce Bernstein go off the rails when Monica's power unexpectedly went out. Außerdem: beste Aussichten für die Suns (27:04) und eine wenig dezente Sympathiebekundung für die mit Game 6 zu Ende gegangenen Playoffs (32:05).

On this edition of Neat and Unfiltered, Kenyon and MG discuss the NBA Champion Milwaukee Bucks performance in game 6, and just how hot was Giannis? Is he more like Shaq, or Magic? 1:00: Giannis' performance - all time great performance in NBA Finals history -03:00: No chance of winning if Giannis went 17/19 from the FT line -04:00: Khris Middleton made a big shot when they needed it despite the mediocre night -06:00: Coming back from the knee hyperextension makes Giannis performance even more impressive -13:00: The company Giannis has put himself in -16:00: Giannis is the 2021 version of Shaquille O'Neal - it's almost like he was made in a laboratory and the impressions Kenyon had of him when he played in Milwaukee -18:00: Comparing Giannis to Magic Johnson -23:30: Too many times the coaches are fired before the GMs -25:00: Going through the pieces Milwaukee brought in to put them over the top and how this could affect some teams upcoming moves in the off-season -34:30: Mike Budenholzer winning despite the media writing him off as possibly getting fired this year -38:30: KM thinks this championship fuels Giannis' competitive fire even more -43:30: West will be tougher next year regardless of the off-season movement -47:00: If you had asked Kenyon after the first two Finals if he thinks he'd get back he would have said absolutely -48:00: This was probably CP3's only shot to get a title -for some their one chance comes early, with others it comes late in their career -49:00: This hurts CP3 more than people realize - to be 2 wins away from a championship after enduring everything in his career and the difficulties of COVID the last 2 years Learn more about your ad choices.
