They have been in estate planning for the past 3 years and they are actively working to inform and empower people from BAME communities to have conversations about Wills, Trusts and Power of Attorney. It's a subject we definitely need to start talking about as wealth grows and the transfer of wealth starts to happen from one generation to the next. Money habits are formed at such a young age, so we thought it would be interesting to get questions from teenagers. We spoke to some students from Sarah Bonnell School in East London to answer questions. We discussed tips for having financial conversations in schools. We busted the myth that women aren't good at math - with some great insight from their teacher who is a Maths Teacher. We discussed the importance of saving and not ruining your credit score at a young age. How to have conversation with friends and family about financial inequalities. Tips for setting up a business as a young person and much more.
This month I am giving my tip tips for handling money as we shift out of lockdown. June 21st was the date given for when full restrictions could potentially be lifted in the U.K., and we have already been experiencing a lift in restrictions, cinemas, restaurants, bars, shops are open again albeit with covid restrictions still. I first heard of Bitcoin (BTC) back in 2018 when a few of my work colleagues were talking about Bitcoin (BTC) and they were also talking about the dark web which quite honestly was off putting at the time. Luckily the conversation has moved on slightly since then.
