Tee-Ta and Tiffany say farewell to A Black Girl A White Girl. Although the show will live on YouTube and Podcast channels, Tee-Ta and Tiffany share why they decided to finish recording episodes and what it means for them moving forward. In 2018 Tee-Ta Walker and Tiffany Scott met at a business conference; during dinner, Tiffany asked Tee-Ta why a friend of hers (a woman of color) was upset when Tiffany said she didn't see color, and from there, A Black Girl A White Girl was born. 3 seasons later, with life taking many twists and turns, Tee-Ta and Tiffany have been dedicated to bringing difficult conversations from behind closed doors in the hope that more women will feel empowered to bridge the gap between black and white people in America. To end unconscious bias and learn what it takes to be an ally, ultimately to end racism once and for all. Both hugely grateful for the journey, Tee-Ta and Tiffany's friendship remains as strong as ever, and they hope that for as long as the show remains on the web, more people can gain healing, insight, and courage to create unity between white and black people. Thank you for being on this journey with us, and if you've just found us, we are still available at connect@ablackgirlawhitegirl.com www.ablackgirlawhitegirl.com.

Both their points of view touch on the sensitivities of a black girl and a white girl navigating an oppressive system at the core of women's rights. Tee-Ta & Tiffany talked about Juneteenth, now a Federal Holiday. The official Day is June 19th. However, this year's observance is Monday, June 20th, 2022. The ladies discussed why Juneteenth came about and why it is essential. You can watch or listen to why Juneteenth is necessary for our society and how to move forward in creating change for the betterment of all. Additionally, Tee-Ta & Tiffany mentioned how Walmart missed the mark on 'not' capitalizing or exploiting Juneteenth. In this case, it was ice cream. And along with that, the ice cream was similar to Creamalicious Artisan Ice Cream (https://www.socreamalicious.com/) owned by a Black Woman. Walmart eventually removed the ice cream after receiving backlash. The question is, 'Were all the right people at the table?' The ladies also gave some ideas of what you can do to celebrate Juneteenth. It is not just about a day off. Let's all work towards a better America by making changes to dismantle suppressive systems. Ok, before we get chewed up...the point we make is valid. We recently saw a post that really made sense. The statement, “I'm not racist, I just don't support the looting and rioting and violence! I'd support them [hmm…now we are wondering who them is] if they protest peacefully.” The post went on to inform how the Chiefs and Texans were booed by fans for the first opening night of the NFL game of the season. Why were the teams booed? Because they were standing in a moment of silence to acknowledge that racism exist. Remind you, 70% players are Black. Soooooo…. how much more peaceful can you get with a moment of silence? People need to stop lying. No, we hate racism and hate the value and behaviors of racist people…no argument there, but at least admit that you are racist. That is the honorable thing you can do. To pretend you support racial equality is worse than to come out and show you are racist. People who boo, turn-up their noses, or try to justify every move to dismantle racism need to accept that they are racist. It isn't in the matter of how one goes about encouraging racial equality…you simply disagree. Because…you are racist. #ablackgirlawhitegirl #conversationswithteetaandtiffany #teetaandtiffany #realconversations #whiteprivilege #racism #antiracism #blacklivesmatter #beinformed #plantingseeds #podcast #podcaster #conversationstarters #dismantleracism Tee-Ta Walker Tiffany Scott

We simply talked about ‘Black & White Stereotypes.' And a few different culture differences...like ‘Sweet Potato Pie & Pumpkin Pie.' Or, ‘Black Don't Crack.' One comment from our Live from a White male had an interesting perspective: “I'm thinking that the Black stereotypes come from a place of racism and how white people chose to depict them, whereas the white stereotypes come from actual real qualities.” What is your take on that? We like the definition we found from simple Wikipedia, “A stereotype is a mistaken idea or belief many people have about a thing or group that is based upon how they look on the outside, which may be untrue or only partly true. Stereotyping people is a type of prejudice because what is on the outside is a small part of who a person is.” As there can be some truth to it, it is mostly belief from a subjective perspective. #stereotypes ##BlacksAndWhites #ablackgirlawhitegirl #conversationswithteetaandtiffany #teetaandtiffany #realconversations #whiteprivilege #racism #antiracism #blacklivesmatter #beinformed #plantingseeds #podcast #podcaster #conversationstarters #dismantleracism
