Dr. Sheila Jackson started at General Motors as a corporate buyer for 15 years and was continually blessed with financial increase through that career. As a new Christian, the process of sanctification showed her to lay down her life, piece by piece, at Jesus' feet. One day she felt the Holy Spirit prompt her to begin sacrificing the blessings he had given her. All along her journey, God was teaching Shiela to walk in what some might consider “crazy faith”. Often, God will ask us to sacrifice what makes us comfortable in order to replace it with blessings that yield spiritual fruit. It is in the discomfort of these sacrifices that we meet God at a deep level of surrender and trust. Dr. Sheila Jackson holds an E.D. in Transformational Leadership and is an ordained Associate Pastor and Chaplain. SUPPORT His Heartbeat through Crown of Beauty Internationalhttps://www.crownofbeautyinternational.com/donateCONNECT with His Heartbeat and Crown of Beauty InternationalWebsite// Facebook//InstagramEmail: crownofbeautyinternational@gmail.comConnect with Sue Corl's Instagram//Facebook// WebsitePurchase Sue's Transformational Bible Studies and Devotionals on Amazon!Sue Corl's best-selling books: Crown of Beauty Bible Study, Broken But UndefeatedCrown of Beauty International: EMPOWERING WOMEN AROUND THE WORLD WITH GOD'S TRUTH!

The middle months are those wonderful summer months when most of us have ended our formal academic year and are taking a break to travel, see family and enjoy a lighter, more laid-back schedule. Though most of us are vacationing, we don't want to take a complete break from learning. In fact, some of the most impactful, enjoyable learning happens in these months—and sometimes while on vacation! Making the most of the middle months is simply looking at June, July and August and seeing what learning opportunities are embedded there. It's about learning differently and often in ways that are more carefree and fun for your family. There are many different educational topics and opportunities unique to the summer months that won't be available when formal homeschooling starts back in the fall. With a little review and a little planning, you can ensure your family experiences the best the middle months have to offer. God designed receptive and expressive language to work together in a child's learning. The child takes in and absorbs ideas and knowledge then gives them forth, expressing them through his own unique voice by choosing and combining words in a way all his own. This is why notebooking is so valuable and essential. It gives opportunity to strengthen expressive language skills which are vital to a child's growth in every area. In this episode, Shiela explores the benefits of notebooking and how through written and visual narration, a child finds his voice and builds his confidence to grow into and express the unique person God made him to be. She gives practical, creative ideas for notebooking through the homeschool subjects and how this age old methodology can bring joy to your children's homeschool days. In this first episode of a two-part series, we'll explore Charlotte Mason's thoughts on a child's health and learning and how her educational philosophy includes aspects of a healthy lifestyle. We'll touch on these aspects and how you can make them part of your homeschool to ensure your children have optimal opportunity to learn and grow into the people God made them to be. Want to hear the Top Ten Reasons to Homeschool from two homeschool veterans and authors with six successful college graduates between them? In this podcast, Jeannie Fulbright and Shiela Catanzarite discuss the first five reasons to homeschool. If you need a reminder of why it's all worth it or know someone who is looking for a reason to begin, this podcast is a must listen. Your eyes will be opened to how homeschooling builds family bonds, allows children the freedom to be themselves, to grow into the persons they were created to be, and to discover their interests early and pursue them well. You'll be encouraged to release the burden of enslavement to the system that is failing American school children, and instead embrace a true learning atmosphere and environment that develops your children into the people God designed them to be. Jeannie and Shiela will share profound truths and stories that will inspire and encourage you to start or continue the homeschool journey with freedom and joy. About Jeannie Jeannie Fulbright, a 24-year veteran homeschooler, is the author of the #1 best-selling, multi award-winning Apologia Young Explorer science series: Exploring Creation with Astronomy, Chemistry and Physics, Botany, Zoology, and Anatomy & Physiology.
