You ever wonder how Bad B*tches became Bad B*tches? Did God bless them from birth? Did they take some sort of course? Did they, in fact, wake up like this? Some of us have arrived comfortably in our Bad Bitch era and some of us are, well, still on the bumpiest of rides holding on for dear life while we're trying to get there. Let's talk about the journey to becoming the baddie you've always wanted to be two people who are coming from totally different places, but are down for the ride.
We all have the potential to grow and improve, but sometimes we get stuck in old patterns and habits that hold us back. In this keynote from the 2022 Gladiate Beautifully retreat, Alyx Allen, discusses strategies for identifying these limiting beliefs and behaviors, and replacing them with positive, growth-oriented ones.Alyx emphasizes the importance of taking action and making concrete changes in our lives. It's not enough to simply wish for a better version of ourselves; we have to actively work towards it. Through practical tips and examples, we will explore how to take intentional steps towards becoming the person we want to be.Follow us on Instagram: @the.arderSubscribe to this podcast and be sure to leave a review!
In this episode, we'll be discussing how we talk about our own experience with parenting and we'd do it differently than our own parents. As a new generation of parents, we are raising our children in a different world than our parents did. This means that our approach to parenting must also adapt to the changing times. Whether it's discipline, communication, boundaries, mental health (just to name a few) We strive to create a supportive environment that may or may not look a bit different than the one's we grew up in.We may be parenting differently than our own parents, but just like them, we're doing the best we can.Follow us on Instagram: @the.arderSubscribe to this podcast and be sure to leave a review!
The journey to becoming the person you know you can be isn't an easy one. There are highs, there are lows, and everything in between. Today we talk with Alyx Allen about understanding how your own toxic traits can impede your personal evolution and how to tap into the audacious being inside of you. Whatever the best version of you looks like, let's talk about what it takes in become her.

I'VE BEEN AROUND THE BLOCK—AND THE WORLD—A FEW TIMES. I ATTENDED SCHOOL IN FIVE COUNTRIES, RESCUED A SLOTH FROM A PACK OF UNRULY SCHOOLKIDS IN COSTA RICA, STAYED A WEEK WITH ACCUSED WITCHES IN NORTHERN GHANA, ATE MY WAY ACROSS SINGAPORE AND GOT LOST IN A THAI JUNGLE (BUT FOUND MY WAY OUT, THANK GOODNESS).Then I had kids.My journey kept me closer to home outside Portland, Oregon raising my two daughters, restarting my paused writing career and generally trying to function on an obscenely small amount of sleep. But as my girls grow and become more curious about the world, the pull of travel urges me to explore—with my family.Yet when I looked online and scrolled through Instagram, I was intimidated by perfect images of parents and kids traveling together that looked nothing like the messy, sometimes aggravating, always memorable reality of my family's travel. So I launched To & Fro Fam, an authentic and honest reflection of family vacations near and far—as well as practical advice to help your trips be unforgettable for all the right reasons. I specialize in family vacations in the Pacific Northwest and destinations easily accessible from Portland, Oregon.I'm so glad you're here.To collaborate, inquire about sponsored posts or content, connect or simply say hello, please reach out at Catherine@ToAndFroFam.com. Aaron Daniels joins the Gladiate Beautifully podcast (though he is no stranger because he produces this podcast) as we dive into this conversation about boundaries we learn, unlearn and acquire! Aaron Daniels began what would become his multi-instrumentalist career during the early ages of toddlerhood, dispensing pots and pans from Lazy Susans. His creativity followed him into high school where he spent summer weekends lugging saxophone and trumpet cases (and occasionally a drumset) onto 16th St. Mall to entertain passersby and begin saving for his undergraduate career at the Metropolitan State University of Denver. His drive, ambition, and discipline have fostered what most would not imagine being a sustainable financial choice through college into adulthood.Graduating with a dual Bachelor of Arts in Recording Arts (emphasis in Piano & Vocal Performance) and Business Management, Aaron has upheld his career as a full-time audio engineer and music producer, transcribing music for churches, organizations, and artists as the #3 globally ranked Loop Community producer. Aaron, and his charming newly-wed Jamia Daniels, host of the First of All podcast, have made a home in northeast Denver where they will soon conceive and raise a Music Snob Jr.IG: @aarondanielsmusic
