Let the Awkward Conversations Begin!Adaeze and Chad―two different people, two different backgrounds―both brought a lot of baggage into their relationship. Adaeze, a black Nigerian American woman who has lived with racism and discrimination her entire life. Chad, a white man with a family from the South who mostly grew up in white spaces. Determined to learn to communicate honestly and effectively, they stepped into tough conversations about their differences. Walls came down and Adaeze and Chad discovered the trust and respect they could have in and for each other. White Boy/Black Girl is an open-handed invitation from Adaeze and Chad to learn:Why trying to be the “perfect” Black or white person can't be the goalHow to attempt to get it right when you're terrified of getting it wrongWhat to do when you're feeling uncomfortable, defensive, or misunderstoodThat repair is possible even when you've flat-out stepped in itThe importance of surrendering our pain and prejudice to the redemptive work of JesusAdaeze and Chad provide a safe space for us to eavesdrop on some of the most vulnerable conversations they've had about their differences. Their candid and honest back and forth gives us common, usable language to meet each other where we're at. The path to empathy and understanding isn't easy―but they promise you, it's always worth it.
In this episode, we cozied up with Manchester's very own marriage coach, Adaeze Chiwoko — and let's just say, things got steamy. She took us on a sultry journey through the art of keeping the spark alive in long-term relationships, which Lemar thoroughly enjoyed (possibly a little too much… someone get this man a fan). As always, we covered everything from romance to real talk — and had a blast doing it. Tune in for some laughs, some love wisdom, and a few tips to spice things up in your own relationship.

Gutes braucht Zeit." ✨Learning 3: Step-by-Step": Kleine Schritte jeden Tag in Richtung deiner Vision." ✨Learning 4: Fake it, till you make it: Träume groß und "Versetze dich in das Gefühl hinein, wer du in Zukunft sein wirst." ✨Learning 5: Trust Your Gut: "Vertraue und höre auf dein Bauchgefühl." This week, the hosts are joined by the founders of Free Flo Fit, Shontia Walton and Adaeze Medani, a non-profit organization making health and fitness more affordable, inclusive, and accessible for the minority community. Based in Seattle, WA, Shontia and Adaeze share their expertise on fitness and physical fitness challenges in public spaces for Black residents. In this episode we share with you an incredible talk from Adaeze Brinkman at Churchfront Live 2022.
Taiwo and Adaeze are back at it again with a familiar face. That's right, we watched Hallmark's FIRST EVER gay Christmas movie, The Holiday Sitter starring Jonathan Bennett! And ALLEGEDLY the reason for Candace Cameron Bure leaving her Hallmark home for a certain network that shall NEVER be named.Happy Homo-Hallmark holiday season to you all, and to all, enjoy this very joyful episode!
Taiwo and Adaeze continue their Christmas deviations with a fan request from Esther Sandoval, A Christmas Kiss 2! Or is it Another Christmas Kiss? Clearly the producers didn't know, and neither do we!We couldn't bring you the second movie in what is clearly the ACKU (A Christmas Kiss Universe) without catching all of you up on the first movie, so we make sure to give you a run down on that too. Tune in as we discuss this 2014 classic and give away the award for Worst actor in this week's episode deviation, A Christmas Kiss 2!
Highlights from the conversation:Growing up in Nigeria and seeing firsthand the role of government (2:25)The state of health care policy today (6:18)Advice to policy makers on how to build effective messaging for their position (14:44)Adaeze's move to a private equity firm (WCAS) (17:50)Opportunities to create value in healthcare (22:20)What challenges are healthcare boards facing today? This week, Adaeze and Taiwo begin their holiday deviations with Falling For Christmas. Lindsay Lohan is back on our screens, but is her appearance taking us back to simpler times? In this Christmas movie, Netflix attempts to come for Hallmark's neck. Bringing about some very important questions like... How many tropes is too many tropes? Is it possible to hold yourself hostage? What do you get when you cross a big city girl and an heiress? And most importantly, are outtakes finally making a triumphant comeback? All this and more on this week's episode of Disney Deviants.
