Hey Soothers! Glad to be here. I've got as an episode for you today, more of a casual voice note, walking through the woods, as I share what's been going on behind the scenes in my life lately.I'm talking about the (sometimes painful) process of growing into a new voice and stepping into a bigger version of myself, and all the discomfort and doubt that brings up. I get into how my sense of identity is shifting (is it ever not?? sheesh), how I'm navigating a season that feels really fallow and in-between, and how spiritual loneliness and frustration with others not voicing their spiritual beliefs publicly is something I'm sitting with lately too.If you're in a liminal season yourself, where things feel slow, uncertain, or like you're not quite who you used to be but not yet who you're becoming, I hope this episode feels like a warm cup of tea and a reminder that you're not alone.Sign up for the Imperfect Artist's Way, starting May 11Trust the Universe with Missy & Catherine podcastJoin the Trust the Universe Membership, $44/month, cancel any time. Tarot reading for April 2025: The expansion and contraction of growth

Hey, Soothers! Here's my Tarot reading for the month of April 2025, for all. Feels like an understatement to say that growth isn't always easy—it expands us, stretches us, and sometimes contracts us before we bloom again. But this month's Tarot reading for April wants us to remember this: nature moves in rhythms—trees shed their leaves before budding anew, the ocean tides pull back before surging forward, and the moon wanes before it waxes. Just like the natural world, we, too, grow in cycles of expansion and contraction. There are seasons of stretching beyond our comfort zones and seasons of retreat, rest, and integration. Trust that both are necessary. This collective reading reminds us to embrace the sweetness of the present moment, trust that our spirit guides are always near, and move at the pace our soul needs while we go through whatever cycle is occuring. There's no rush. Let life unfold in divine timing. Center yourself as the expansion or contraction (or both!) occur. Join me for Enough Abundance April, pay what you can month-long money & magic groupJoin the next Trust the Universe membership call, Tuesday April 8th (replay provided) all about Everything We Learned About Ancestral Healing in Bali

At the same time, this is not a moment to stay silent or shrink back. Your words, ideas, and truth matter. Whether it's speaking up for yourself, sharing your wisdom, or calling in the support you need, March is a time to embrace both the power of your voice and the deep well of guidance available to you.Watch the video or listen to the audio for guidance, assignments and ideas on how to do this. Happy March!

I walk you through my own journey of realization of their effects in my personal life, and also then what I've seen and pieced together in my clients' health stories. Most of the conversation around EMFs I've heard has either been panicked and fear-mongering, or judgmental and condescending (that they can't possibly have an effect and anybody who thinks so is a conspiracy theorist) and I think there is a space for a middle ground to think about them and I hope to provide that for you today. If you're interested in learning about to meaningfully reduce EMFs in your life plus other health benefits from nature, geared toward the HSP, sign up for the waitlist for Recharge Your Light. Have you ever heard of the term aphantasia? Aphantasia is a relatively unstudied phenomenon that involves not being able to visualize images in your mind. Reportedly about 3% of the population have this condition, and I'm one of them.I didn't realize til my late 30s that this was even a thing; I was shocked to find out that most people had the ability to go around doing what essentially sounded like hallucination to me. (I learned about it, as many people did at the time, from this article.) As I read more about how most people can easily visualize or play movies or images in their mind, I grew jealous, especially as I got more into spirituality and manifestation. A huge component of manifestation, meditation and other spiritual practices is often the ability to visualize your desires, or other images, in your mind's eye. I've also been told many times by random people that I'm psychic, but how can somebody be psychic if they can't see, you know, psychic images in their mind's eye?Over time, I've figured out my own ways to tune into spiritual practices that work for me, even though I can't visualize. And that's what I'm sharing about today! Even if you don't have aphantasia, tune in, because these tactics can help everybody deepen their spiritual practices.I'm hosting a free 3 weeks within the Sunday Soother Membership in March, with 6 free new classes to attend. The answers I got were very clear, and I'd love to let you listen in so you can get a sense of what 2024 might have in store for us all. 237: Changing energetically first

Hey Soothers! In today's podcast, I give guidance on a different way you can start to think about change and growth. Many of us cannot change current circumstances for whatever reason; say you want a new job or to quit and take a break, but you have to provide for a family; or maybe you really want to move to Europe, but you have to finish your degree stateside for a year. Not all hope is lost! If we can't change material or physical circumstances quite yet, we can still definitely begin to change *energetically.* This process is making internal and energetic shifts first towards your desired goal, and as you make those internal shifts, the external circumstances will eventually catch up. I share specific tactics for how to do this in today's episode. This podcast is in celebration and promotion of my and Missy's brand-new, never-been-done before, group coaching program, The Energy Alchemy Mini-Mind. It's a 4-month group coaching program for HSP and empath leaders, entrepreneurs, and visionaries who are tired of playing timid good girl on the sideline and are ready to connect fully with their purpose and boldly step into and share their mission, their gifts, and their light with the world. In the mini-mind (limited to 10 participants), every month we'll go over a different energy block that's related to your purpose, and lead you through exercises on energy clearing, EFT tapping, and feng shui. Think of me and Missy like your energy detectives/energy cleaners — we'll come take a look at your energy field, uncover what's blocking you from your purpose, and help clear your path forward.Details all about the mini-mind here; we're on earlybird of $3000 (payment plans available) until Dec. 23, when it goes up to $4000. We may poke fun at ourselves when we name this fear, but it has a really serious, deep and ancestral origin that's based in historical occurrences of the past, and I want to dive into that today. The river, on the other hand, is the life force that moves as it will. When we're in passive mode, not setting boundaries, giving away our power to others, we can think of that like being the rock. This is especially needed as we go into the diminishment of many larger systems outside of us, that we have up until now counted on to lead us. We're in a time when we're moving away from large, monolithic leadership, and we're going into an era of learning to rely on, tend to, step up within local communities. I know a lot of you don't view yourself as leaders, but I'm urging you to reconsider. Leadership isn't going to be optional in the future. Hey Soothers! Here's something I deeply believe: the body is a sacred vessel. It is the physical container for and way we express our heart, soul and mind in the world. However, too many of us rarely consider our bodies in this process, and it's hard to slow down to connect and listen to its needs and wisdoms. I find HSPs in particular can really struggle with this, as we may have had to disconnect early on in life from our bodies and live mostly in our analytical heads. But the reality is the wisdom of our bodies, and then the care of our bodies, is so important in our work, our leadership, and our life. So today I dive into one way we can begin to get back in rhythm and touch with our bodies — our menstrual cycles. Don't have a cycle? I'll teach you some nature-based strategies for aligning with a similar approach and energy. The future of the world is leadership that is cyclically informed, respectful of our bodies' needs and wisdom, and aligned to a natural cycle. Tuning into our bodies and menstrual cycles is one important way to begin to create this future.Join me for three days in September for the Highly Sensitive Person Leadership Summit! Tune in for a quick explainer of how attachment can show up in our lives and how we can begin to release it and surrender and allow the flow of life in instead.Join me for three days in September for the Highly Sensitive Person Leadership Summit! For one hour each night, in community, on September 5, 6 and 7, we'll come together to discuss three elements of leadership that are particularly important for Highly Sensitive People. The Sunday Soother podcast is a spin-off of The Sunday Soother, a weekly newsletter that creates conversations around compassionate personal development and helps readers access their spirituality, magic and mindfulness in practical, actionable ways. You can find Catherine @candrews on Twitter and Instagram @catherineandrews, and her coaching website is catherinedandrews.com.

219: What do I mean by leadership? And what blocks you from considering yourself a leader?

Hey there, Soothers! As you know I'm opening my Highly Sensitive Person Leadership Academy on September 5th to the waitlist (it'll open to the public two weeks later) and today I wanted to root and ground in on what I even mean by leadership. I think HSPs and women overall balk at the concept of calling themselves a leader, one, because we see what leadership looks like today and it's like... no thank you, and also possibly because it's simply not how we see ourselves. Today I'd like to challenge that assumption. I think each human on earth has the potential and calling to be a leader in our own way and I'd like to activate that within you and cast a new vision for leadership in the world. I have a really true and deep belief that in how our society is unfolding, empathetic and heart-centered and feminine leaders will be the ones who are going to help us go where we need to go, because our entire model of leadership has been so warped and dominated by masculine energy and patriarchy. As we move into August and September, I have a couple of free offerings I wanted to tell you about to help educate you on the front of what feminine and sensitive leadership could look like, and I talk about that today.Get on my waitlist for my leadership program for the following:August exclusive emails teaching principles of feminine leadershipAccess to a September 3-day leadership summit for highly sensitive people (free, replays provided)And eventually a discount for when HLA opens to the waitlist on September 5Want to know your Highly Sensitive Person Leadership Style? One thing I hear so many of my clients and audience say is that they desire to stop being so in their masculine energy in their life, but they don't know where or how to start. So today I'm walking you through understanding what feminine energy is, how we can begin to embody it healthily, and also, how we can use surrendered feminine energy both in our manifestation practices, and in our romantic relationships, too. Because many of us are embodying a controlling, critical element in the way we interact with the world, and often with our romantic partners, too, and I want to showcase some possibilities for showing you how to release that controlling energy (which is an unhealthy masculine energy) so you can regain some balance in the way you manifest with the universe, and the way you are with your partner. 216: Don't let internalized capitalism warp manifestation for you

One reason I think so many of us roll our eyes at the concept of manifestation is that we assume it's about purely material things, or about getting large sums of money, and for plenty of us, those are topics we're wary about or that aren't that motivating to us. Also, many of us see the damage that unfettered capitalism has done to humans, society and the earth and are wary of engaging with a spiritual practice that seems to be about further material accumulation. But I'm here to tell you today, don't let capitalism — or your own internalized capitalism — ruin what can be a really beautiful and delightful experience. Manifestation isn't, to me, at its core about acquiring material items or showy amounts of money; it's about allowing the desires on your heart, from small to large, to unfold in the material plane. Tune into to listen to me tell stories of manifestation that have nothing to do with money or material items and why they are just as special, and how you can begin to have those experiences, too.Intrigued? In it I talk about manifestation misconceptions, why you don't have to consider yourself spiritual to engage with manifestation, why we must consider trauma and privilege when it comes to the concept, and I give you very practical steps to start whatever your manifestation practice might look like. Wednesday Wisdom: The importance of Self Leadership

Hey Soothe pod crew! This is another audio excerpt from my Instagram series, Wednesday Wisdom.  Enjoy!Welcome to another Wednesday Wisdom, where I coach and teach on concepts of leadership for the highly sensitive person! Today I'm discussing what I think is the most important, but least discussed or understand element of leadership, and that is leadership of Self. This can be a complicated concept to understand but well worth your time. When we have self leadership, we are becoming the healthy, compassionate, curious and confident Self leader, internally, to many of our multiplicity of parts of our psyche. We may have an inner critic. A rash part. A creative part. An inner child. An angry part. An overworking part, a people-pleasing part. We have so many parts, some which we may classify as “good” and some which may annoy or irritate us or that we wish would somehow just go *poof* But we also have a Self. And the Self is our core quality of a higher self of sorts, that embodies certain characteristics, and is ultimately meant to lead, compassionately, all of our other parts. In this Instagram live I talk about the 8 Cs and the 5 Ps - all the qualities of the Self - and how we can begin to cultivate our Self more. Because when we can truly lead INTERNALLY, all of our parts that need us, THEN we can begin to authentically and powerfully lead others, externally. Interested in this concept? I will be diving into Self Leadership in the Highly Sensitive Person Leadership Academy, which opens for enrollment in September. It's probably pretty obvious that I'm super biased, but I think highly sensitive people are incredible, generally, and also, perhaps contrary to general belief, also make incredible leaders. HSPs are empathetic, intuitive, have an incredible ability to process information and make good decisions, and are authentic and kind. Today, as I gear up to launch the Highly Sensitive Person Leadership Academy, I detail what I think are the six superpowers of the HSP leaders. And, just to keep it real — there are plenty of things we struggle with in leadership too, so I also detail six leadership weaknesses that we can work on and address.
