    Name of Expert: Heather Robertson Why I Believe This Person Is A Warrior: Heather struggled with weight issues since she was 7.  She continued to struggle with her weight in her 20's, losing and gaining the same weight over and over again. She hit over 300 in 2006 when she was pregnant with her third son. Her weight loss journey started in 2012 and ultimately led to her creating the podcast ‘Half Size Me' that helps other women who are battling weight issues too. Something Only The People Closest To Them Know: She loves monopoly.   Their Battle, Mentally Or Physically, They Fought And Came Out A Warrior: When you have an abusive situation going on it scares you. She was told one day that she would need to see someone about this and that made her feel like something was wrong with her. One of the scariest moments of her life was calling a therapist, and then the scariest moment was actually going. He took all his anger and frustration for losing his son and helped others. Heart Of The Interview: Her journey started with a walk.     Name of Expert: Chris Kiser Why I Believe This Person Is A Warrior: I have to go on the record and say I am biased on why I believe this person is a warrior. Chris Kiser is the love of my life, my business partner, my confidant, the sweetest man I've ever known, an amazing friend, brother and son, and my soon to be husband. However, that's not the reason why I have him on the show. I specifically brought him on the show because he has a story to share that I know many of you can relate to. Their Battle, Mentally Or Physically, They Fought And Came Out A Warrior: One of the biggest questions Chris gets when they find out he's dating a personal trainer is “What's it like dating a trainer? It must be so awesome!!” I mean he has a built in chef, trainer, quasi-doctor, and more!! What's more to like! Plus..I'm flexible lol. Well, come to find out he didn't really like it. It became a sore point in our relationship. When we started dating he was super unhealthy, ate fast food almost every day, was heavier, and constantly sick. He had severe migraine headaches that sent him into the hospital. Along with that, his tonsils were constantly inflamed. One the very first month we moved in together he was severely sick for weeks and it was a breaking point in our relationship. Either something was going to change or we were going to break up.     Who They Are & Something Only The People Closest To Them Know: She is a mother of 2 and wife of 20 years. She is also 1 of 9 kids. She loves to laugh and snorts when she laughs. She decided that she wanted to a degree in marriage and family therapy and did it. She married her high school sweetheart immediately after graduating and got pregnant right away. As a mom, she stayed at home and felt like she lost her identity. She needed to figure out how to change her situation and get herself back. She used fitness as a way to change her body inside and out. Warrior They Look Up To: Her mother is her warrior. Her mom was a single mom to 9 kids. She did everything she could, including 2-3 jobs at a time, to provide everything she could for her kids.     Make Fitness a Priority with Chad Austin

    Chad Austin has been a personal trainer and runs his own gym in the Kansas City area for 11 years. He is an avid obstacle course enthusiast. One thing that most people don't know about him is that he is an introvert. He learned how to overcome that to pursue his passion. Their Battle, Mentally Or Physically, They Fought And Came Out A Warrior: He is 2-time world tough mudder champion. It is a 24-hour obstacle course that is crazy but he came out a warrior. Warrior They Look Up To: Kyle Maynard has a book called No Excuses. He is a paraplegic that lives his life to the most. He is an Olympian, record keeper, and so much more! Heart Of The Interview: Chad came up with the idea of this book while he was in Toastmasters. He took a poll and asked what people's top priority in your life and overwhelmingly the answer is career and family. He was shocked to find out that fitness wasn't a top answer. He wanted to fix that. He felt that there were a ton of excuses behind not making fitness a priority.     Who They Are & Something Only The People Closest To Them Know: Australian who lives in London. He does extreme adventure challenges. He helps people get out of their comfort zones in simple ways. He is a real food cook, motivational speaker, and coach. Something most people don't know is that he battled depression and hid it from them for a long time. Their Battle, Mentally Or Physically, They Fought And Came Out A Warrior: His battle with depression is ongoing. When he started to speak about it openly after going through therapy it was a huge battle won for him. Warrior They Look Up To: His mom was his hope and inspiration during his battles. Heart Of The Interview: He felt like he was living a double life. He would train clients to reach their goals but had days where he didn't want to get out of bed. He was a soccer player that had injuries which caused him not to play and thus started his depression. Luke talks openly and candidly about his battle with depression.     Avoiding Burnout in Dieting, Workouts, and Life

    Mariah is a 36-year-old mom who married her high school sweetheart. She works in corporate America and travels a ton. She also has a business called Because I Decided, which is all about how she decided to lose weight and transform her life. On the day she delivered her son she weighed 275 and was mortified! That number stuck with and caused her to be depressed. However, she decided to make a change and lose weight. Their Battle, Mentally Or Physically, They Fought And Came Out A Warrior: She battled her weight and body image issues. When she started losing weight but having a hard time with it. She wanted to lose the weight quickly and bought into, and it was so hard on her mentally and physically when she didn't live up to it. She shared how she hit rock bottom and had to learn how to not chase the perfect body. Her grandparents have an amazing relationship and are always there for every family even supporting everyone. They taught her how to put God first and take care of others. She decided to get an at home workout program and start there. She didn't know what would happen but she committed to seeing it through. She gained so much from just starting.     Curing Chronic Health Issues with Dr. Drew Hall

      Name of Expert: Dr. Drew Hall Who They Are & Something Only The People Closest To Them Know: As a junior in high school he was on the baseball team and got into a fight with a teammate, The guy eventually had him upside down and accidentally dropped him on his head and heard a crack. He  thought he was paralyzed but realized he was fine and moved on. Then slowly over a 6 month period, he ended up experiencing various symptoms like headaches, sinus issues, sleep issues. In the beginning, it was episodic but it got progressively worse and worse. Then he was nauseous for 2 years. This his arm started going numb. He figured it would eventually go away and never did. He eventually made his way to a holistic doctor that helped him remember the fight and recommended that he go to an upper cervical spine chiropractic. He finally got the answers and help he needed. Heart Of The Interview: This interview was fascinating for me to do. Dr. Drew dives deep into what the heck an upper cervical chiropractor is, how they are different from other chiropractors, and who should get their cervical spine check. He shares a wealth of knowledge about how the body works and why people are suffering from chronic issues. He started training in the 50's. His specialty is working with endurance athletes. He is a USA Olympic Triathlon and Cycling coach. On his 40th birthday, someone took a picture of him getting out of the pool and didn't like what he saw. He made a bet with his then 6-year-old son that he could give up smoking and drinking better than he could give up candy. Warrior They Look Up To: Any of his clients that come in with no experience and decide they want to do an endurance race and faithfully stick to the training plan, directions, and races successfully without getting hurt. Growing up she had always been active and played sports, but once she got to college she started eating whatever she wanted at the cafeteria and gained the “freshman 15”.       Successful people have a morning routine. It helps them be consistent throughout their whole entire day by having a morning routine. Through my years of researching, studying and talking to people, I've learned that successful people have habits that they always do. And the habits are the foundation of their success.     Defeating Depression with Katie Soy (Re-Release)

    Name of Expert: Katie Soy Why I Believe This Person Is A Warrior: I met Katie a few years ago through our amazing mentor Tiffany Bymaster aka Coach Glitter. I knew from the second I met her that there was something about her that I could relate to I felt an instant closeness. Then I learned more about her and her story and how she became a warrior and it clicked!! We have different stories but in many ways, they are the same. You can listen to my story on the How Running Saved My Life & How It Can Save Yours podcast. She and I have both battled depression but not only did she come out a warrior she came out a teacher. She teaches others how to conquer depression and learn from it. This episode is super important for those of you that are battling depression or know someone that is battling depression. If you know anyone that fighting depression then be a good friend or family member and share this with them. It could help or dare I say, save their life. Who They Are & Something Only The People Closest To Them Know: Kati was Divorced at 23, contemplating suicide, and almost drove herself off the road one night. She was in the middle of fighting a battle of depression after her marriage came to an end. She felt she got married too young before she really realized the bigger issues. Their Battle, Mentally Or Physically, They Fought And Came Out A Warrior: Katie has fought bouts of depression throughout her life. However, I love that no matter what she didn't give up. She has gained so much strength from that. She blogged during her depression and she would word vomit what she was feeling. However at the end of each blog, there was hope.     Name of Expert: Jax Sargent Why I Believe This Person Is A Warrior: Jax is a warrior that I very much look up to. I have spent countless days talking to Jax and learning so much from her. There are not enough adjectives to describe this amazing lady. She's funny, smart, incredibly giving, courageous, athletic, and so much more. When I first met her there was something that drew me to her. She has an amazing story and energy that I can't wait for you to find out about. She has changed my life and know this episode will help you change your life and the environment you live in. Who They Are & Something Only The People Closest To Them Know: She is an IT professional by day and professional organizer by night. Something that only the people closest to her would know is that she is a late bloomer. She had her first kiss by 17, first home by 40, and become a certified cycling instructor by 46. Their Battle, Mentally Or Physically, They Fought And Came Out A Warrior: This past year Jax had a huge setback when she got a knee injury. She was injured working out when she wasn't present in the moment and focusing on what she was doing. She discovered that when she is working out she has to be focused on the exercises. Warrior They Look Up To: Jax is part of a special group of people I call 6 AM warriors. They are a group I workout in the mornings at 6 AM. The warrior she looks up to is another warrior from the group named Maren Dollwet. Maren has had her ups and downs when it comes to physical battles, but she always has a smile on her face. She always takes things in stride even when she is in the hospital. When she got laid off one day she took a job as an office manager until she found another job. When she got there the desk was a mess!! It had stacks of paper all around it. Not only was the desk dirty but the desktop was completely covered on the computer. She immediately went to work, organizing, putting things into the computer, opening Quicken, and more! The productivity of the business increased. The best part of it...she did it in a month! She discovered that she had a passion and purpose helping people organize their lives, computers, homes, and more Jax has learned so much over the years with helping others and she shares her greatest tips, tricks, and secrets to getting organized and staying organized.     Name of Expert: Dr. Maren Dollwet Why I Believe This Person Is A Warrior: Maren has been such a blessing in my life. From the moment I met her I admired her. She has the greatest smile - the kind that lights up a whole room. She has a beautiful heart and she is incredibly smart. I mean seriously smart. The women got a Ph.D. before she was 30. Maren knows what it takes to survive and thrive in the corporate world. I'm so excited for her to share her wisdom on corporate psychology so you can achieve your corporate dreams. Who They Are & Something Only The People Closest To Them Know: She is originally from Germany but has moved around about 10 times to different countries including the United States and Poland. She loves seeing new places. She is a driven woman who received a Ph.D. in Organizational Behavior before the age of 30. She currently works at Directv in El Segundo in Human Resources. She helps employees really find their place in a company. Their Battle, Mentally Or Physically, They Fought And Came Out A Warrior: Her warrior battle happened recently. Growing up she never broke a bone or had a serious illness. This past year she had a nagging cough that she didn't think much of. She skied, rode horses, and exercised with this nagging cough. She decided to go to the doctors just to check it out and discovered she had a collapsed lung. She's never had to go through something like that. She was stuck in a hospital bed and it was hard on her mentally. She learned so much during that battle. Listen closely because I know you can learn from her battle.       Name of Expert: Jane Wilson Who They Are & Something Only The People Closest To Them Know: In 2007, she was home with her children and 40 pounds overweight and not feeling very sexy. Her friend asked her to pole dance and she was not into it. She believed “good mommies don't pole dance”. She decided to go and fell and in love with it!! Now she has an online academy that shows people how to pole dance for themselves. Their Battle, Mentally Or Physically, They Fought And Came Out A Warrior: Her first battle was feeling okay to be sexy. In your 20's you feel free to be sexy. Then in her 30s and she started to have kids she felt that mom's weren't supposed to be like that. She had to learn to be okay with being sexy. Warrior They Look Up To: She looks up to her dear friend Layla Duvay. She did many Burlesque shows together, and she was very different, loud, lived against the grain, and loved life. She was diagnosed with brain cancer and still remain positive until the very end. Heart Of The Interview: Jane shares her transformation from an overweight mom that was ashamed of her body to a burlesque warrior.She talks about everything. She talks about the reaction in the community, how it transformed her body and life. Also, she gives great tips on how to overcome any body shame.
