In today's episode, we're talking about the delicate balance between compassion for others, and boundaries for ourselves. For those of us who tend towards empathy and curiosity towards others' inner worlds, it's easy to fixate on the "why" behind their behaviours (particularly behaviours we don't like or understand). And while that is an admirable trait, without clear boundaries it can easily veer into self-abandonment. I'll share some thoughts on how to find a balance between compassion and generosity in our interpretation of others' behaviour, while also having clarity and firmness in our self-advocacy and knowing what we can and can't tolerate. In today's episode, we're talking all about validation — and specifically, why it is so essential for anxiously attached people in building more security within themselves and in their relationships. Most anxiously attached people are accustomed to feeling chronically invalidated (in part because they tend to do this to themselves), always wondering if they are too much, too needy, too sensitive, too paranoid, and so on. This can lead to over-reliance on a partner or others external to us to determine whether our experience is real and valid.Tune in for a discussion on why validation is so important for anxious attachers, and how we can give ourselves this gift to build more security and self-assuredness.Join On Attachment Insiders, my new membership community Upcoming Events Byron Bay Retreat - Apply now!

A few years ago, I was working a nine-to-five job that drained me. I felt like I was meant for something more but didn't know where to start. Or how to start. Or how to express what I actually wanted to do… I started realizing that if I wanted my life to change for the better, I had to improve myself first and overcome my fears and doubts. One of my biggest issues was public speaking. I was mortified by it. Actually, I was afraid of speaking in front of just a few people. On those occasions, I was constantly thinking, What if I said something stupid? What if I embarrassed myself in front of them? They seem so smart - what if they noticed that I'm not on their level? The what-iffing was my reality at the time. And I became aware that it had to change ASAP. I needed to build my self-confidence and improve my communication skills. Because you can never succeed in anything if you are not confident and if you don't know how to talk to people. My first investment in myself was joining a speaking program. And it was big-time bingo! I learned not only how to communicate effectively but also how to build a deeper relationship with myself. If I were to answer what was the one thing that transformed my life the most, I'd say the decision to invest in myself through that program. It helped me find my voice and gain confidence. And the rest is history… So this week, I decided to talk about the importance of investing in yourself. No matter how old you are, it's never too late to start speaking your truth. Being your authentic self leads to incredible personal and professional growth. Imagine where you could be six months from now if you start investing in yourself today. Time waits for no one, and the best time to begin to invest in yourself is now! Tune in for this episode as I share my journey and the steps and strategies that helped me unlock potential I didn't even know I had! Join me and learn how you can become the best version of yourself too. Many of us often feel like our inner hero and inner villain are constantly fighting. I was chatting with a client about this recently, and it hit me how powerful this concept is. So, I decided to make a podcast episode on this topic. So here we go… The inner villain is the one who puts you down and tells you that you're not smart enough, not destined for success, or that you can't achieve your goals. On the other hand, your inner hero is there to challenge these lies, cheer you on, and inspire you to believe in yourself. Then, who's gonna win? I have an absolutely accurate answer to this question: It depends on which one you feed! Every single day, you can choose to silence the villain and feed the hero. You can start by telling yourself that you are enough. When you really believe that you can achieve anything you set your mind to, you'll see yourself achieving it. Because you become what you believe. Yes, you're absolutely capable of breaking free from the limiting beliefs your inner villain has imposed on you for so long. Love yourself, believe in your own greatness, set boundaries, and surround yourself with positive people - this way, the inner villain doesn't stand a chance! Join me in this week's episode, and let me help you take control of your inner battle. You'll find out how you can nurture your inner hero and finally silence that inner villain for good. Let's win together - tune in now! Key Takeaways: Intro (00:00) Inner hero vs. inner villain concept (01:26) Importance of mindset reprogramming (05:48) Self-love and authenticity (07:54) Use negative emotions as fuel for change (10:54) Mindset is everything (16:42) Share your story to inspire change (19:34) Additional Resources:
Do you trust your gut when something feels off? You should. That instinct is usually right. I learned this the hard way. That was a point in my life when I was constantly trying to please everyone – friends, family, girlfriends, everyone. I played it safe, kept the peace, and conformed. But honestly, it was suffocating. I saw drugs and alcohol as my only escape. That was survival mode at its finest. I constantly felt something was wrong but couldn't figure out how to fix it. I found a coach who promised to help me. I felt something was off with that guy. But honestly, I so desperately wanted to believe he was my way out of the chaos that nothing else mattered to me... Long story short, I ended up scammed out of $100k. That was a hard and expensive lesson. But 100% valuable. When another coach reached out to me, I had almost no money. But I felt a genuine connection. And my conscience told me to give it a chance, even though it meant staying broke. And that decision was the right one! I learned to make choices that I felt good about without feeling guilty. Actually, I started to love myself. That was the first time I felt that conscience was a powerful guide that led me to healing and personal growth. Yes, our conscience holds incredible power that many of us ignore. It can guide us to achieve literally anything we want in life. But we often neglect that it's one of the most powerful driving forces in this world. Curious to learn more? Join me for this week's episode as I talk about the importance of connecting to your conscience, overcoming fears, and being true to yourself to achieve authentic happiness and success. Tune in now!
