Author Drew Hall is a man on a mission! While his mission fields are many—devoted husband, doting father, and a longtime youth pastor, teacher, and coach—his goal remains singular: "Show them Jesus." Whether at home, at work, or in ministry, he builds relationships through common ground, presence, transparency, and time in God's Word.In this episode, Drew shares how his wife's cancer scare became a defining moment in their journey of trusting God's sovereignty. Through fear and uncertainty, they leaned on faith, learning to surrender while holding fast to hope. And as a father, he emphasizes the importance of making his voice and God's Word the strongest influences in his daughters' lives, above all else.Beyond his family, Drew is passionate about discipleship, believing that true success isn't in the sermons he preaches but in the lasting truths he imparts about God. He strives to live a life that aligns with what he teaches on Sundays, knowing that authenticity is key to earning trust. As he puts it, “If you don't show that you care about the little things, people won't trust you with the big things.” Tune in for a conversation that will encourage you to model your faith in the everyday moments and in all of the mission fields to which God calls you.About DrewI was born in Gadsden, Alabama, to Alan and Karen Hall. My parents were blue-collar workers who worked hard to give my sister (Heather) and me the best chance to have a successful life. I was lucky to have all of my grandparents present in my life while I was growing up, and they helped shape me into the man I am today. I am thankful that my family is still active in my life. I understand that is a blessing and I treat it as such. I grew up always playing sports. Baseball and basketball were the two that I continued through high school. Sports never came easy to me, and to be honest I was average at best. I did however fall in love with the aspect of competition. There was not much better than being on a team and competing with your buddies. The most influential thing in my childhood was entering into a relationship with Jesus and trusting him as my Lord and Savior. That decision was a guiding force to the majority of the decisions I have made in my life. The ones where it was not the guiding factor, led to issues and problems. One of the greatest things it lead me to was accepting God's call on my heart to preach the gospel. I started preaching at 16 and it is still a guiding passion of my life.My love of sports and God intersected after high school. While my playing time was over, God opened the door for me to be a part of a team again. I was given a scholarship to be the manager for the baseball team at Jacksonville State. While there I ended up helping the baseball, women's basketball, and softball teams. I wanted to be a coach and use that platform to share the gospel. I got that opportunity when I was blessed to be a graduate assistant coach at Samford University. In this episode, Dr. Drew Hall, a leader within the Upper Cervical Chiropractic profession, tells stories of how he used his own fight against chronic pain and his naturally driven personality to help thousands with their health. He has built three successful Blair Upper Cervical Chiropractic practices in Los Angeles and Sarasota and led the Blair Upper Cervical Chiropractic Society in its vision of “Blair to the World”. He talks about working with mentors and shares some of his favorite recovery stories that he has personally seen in his practice. At the age of 17, he was wrestling with a friend and was dropped on his head. He heard a crack. After a few months, he started having headaches and comprehension issues, and a lot of other chronic problems such as depression and anxiety, etc. All of this went on for 2.5 years. In college, at age 19, he started having suicidal thoughts. He then found a Homeopathic Doctor who recommended a Blair Upper Cervical Chiropractor named Dr. Tom Forest. He was scared of what he thought “normal” chiropractors do (popping and cracking), but the Dr. Forest explained how Blair Chiropractic is different. He decided to go give it a try and got his first adjustment, and began healing. Now he's a Blair Upper Cervical Chiropractor! "I definitely wasn't an empathetic person before. Having had been sick and had that happen to me, yes, it made me really empathetic and realize that people don't feel bad because it's just all in their head. If it was just all in their head, they would be able to get themselves out of it." Dr. Hall tells his patients that in order to be a doctor, a prerequisite should be have to be sick yourself first because you'll have a different perspective with these types of cases.Dr. Hall calls himself the last-ditch doctor. His patients, generally speaking, have had chronic conditions for the long term, and they've been from doctor to doctor, and no one's been able to help them. He especially loves taking care of babies and children. To Contact Dr. Drew Hall in Sarasota: :https://sarasotauppercervical.com/contactIf you want to look for a Blair Upper Cervical Chiropractor near you, go to https://www.blairchiropractic.com/locate-upper-cervical-blair-chiropractic-doctor/To contact Ruth, go to https://www.blairclinic.comruth@blairclinic.comhttps://www.facebook.com/rutelin We hope you will consider sharing this episode to give hope to someone who is suffering from Chronic Pain.

Dale Boyd and Drew Hall are mountain bikers and trail builders living in Mobile, Alabama. They're part of a group called Ride the Rebellion that posts videos and podcasts about their efforts to build and ride trails in a part of the US that isn't traditionally known for mountain biking. In this episode we ask: What was the local mountain bike scene like when you first got into the sport? How did you come up with the name Ride the Rebellion for your group? How many folks are a part of the group? Is there an official membership process? What are some ways you've found to make flat terrain more fun to ride? How did you learn to build trails and trail features? How do you come up with names for trails and trail features? What is the status of the land where you build trails? How did you get permission to build and ride there? What is your agreement like with the landowner in terms of what you can, and can't, do? Can anyone ride the trail whenever they like, or is it a members-only situation? What is the role of video and podcasting in building your real-life MTB community? Do you travel outside Alabama to mountain bike? What are some of your favorite places to ride outside your local area? What have you learned along the way that might be helpful to others in a similar situation? “Investments don't make you rich, you can behave yourself into wealth.”- Drew HallWelcome to part 2 of my conversation with financial advisor Drew Hall. Today we are going to talk about money money money! But first, a little recap! In the first part of the conversation we dove into how Drew got to where he is now, his internal journey of failure, identity, and finding what really makes him tick. If you haven't listened to it, I do encourage you to go check it out, but even if you haven't I think you'll find this conversation pretty insightful. Ok so in this episode we are going to talk about money and investing. Why are we talking about money on a podcast that is about living a meaningful life? I believe it's because the way we understand money and investing is a huge factor in our level or peace or anxiety, our feeling of success or failure, and our view of what our future holds for us. Sure, most of us would love to win big with crypto or make that one move that sets us up for the rest of our lives, but that is unlikely to happen. So, for the rest of us, what is the best approach? Do we try to beat the market? Do we pick our own stocks? Do we hire someone like Edward jones? Is a financial advisor even worth the money? Can we trust the stock market? I'm glad you asked. This is where Drew's expertise comes in. Why listen to Drew? Well, Drew is not some run of the mill fresh out of school advisor. He manages huge accounts, tens of millions or even hundreds of millions with a single client. He helps incredibly wealthy people make wise decisions with their money so they can get out of their own way, not make foolish decisions, and allow the market to do what it always does, grow. If somebody worth a hundred million dollars trusts this guy with their money, I think he's worth listening to? I think you'll find his approach to investing incredibly simple and beautiful. Fear drives so many of our decisions, especially when it comes to money. But what if we can, as Drew says, learn to love volatility? Interesting concept isn't it? Alright, with that little bit of intro, lets go ahead and dive in. Recommended BooksLove Dare for Parents: Steven KendrickSImple wealth Inevitable Wealth: Nick MurrayWebsite: www.abelhall.com

“If you're listening and wondering what you've got to do to break yourself out of the hell you've dug yourself in I would say the first thing you've to got to do is put yourself in a position to be rejected. If you do not allow the people who are vital organs in your life to reject you then you do not give them an opportunity to accept you.” - Drew HallLadies and gentlemen, welcome to another episode! To fit in with our theme of living life in a more meaningful way, it is critical that we discuss our careers. Does what we do for a living align with who we are as a person or is it simply just paying the bills? And, more importantly, what is the cost of doing a job that you hate? What if you could, as our guest today calls it, create your professional utopia? Well, lucky for you, He's got a story that might inspire you to question what you are doing and consider another path. Our guest today is a dear friend of mine, Drew Hall. For his career, Drew is a financial advisor, and one who is, by all worldly standards, is highly successful. He makes good money, works for himself, drives a nice car, and has a beautiful family. But a lot of people have all that and are miserable. Drew, though, beats to a different drum than most. He possesses a zest for life, an energy, and a joy that very few people I know have, as well as wisdom far beyond his years. Which is exactly why I had him on the show. Drew's life was not always like this. For quite a while he found himself stuck in a career path he hated, addicted to substances and feeling totally stuck, like a fish out of water. One day, he got the courage to walk away from all of it into the dangerous world of the unknown in hopes of finding a career that he actually would enjoy. One thing you will find, I believe, in listening to his story are ways to become incredibly honest with yourself and perhaps find the permission and courage you need to stop living someone else's dream for your life and instead to live your own. This is part 1 of a 2 part interview where we will be diving into Drew's personal story of getting to where he is now. And as for the money and investing part, well that, we will save for part 2. Looking around Howard's campus, there are significantly less members of the original class of 2022 than ever before. It's even more rare to find someone else who lived in Drew Hall(the best dorm). Adrian Owusu is both things, a computer information systems major from Jersey. Wu learned 2 things from his father: How to have compassion and how to work hard. He would need the latter during his journey to becoming a football player. He was inspired by the championship giants of 2008 to learn the game. After spending his freshman year elsewhere, he transferred to Paramus Catholic. At the time, they had the #1 player in the country, and Paramus was playing a National schedule. To keep up with the supporting cast of rated recruits and players, Wu worked hard and stuck to his routine. School, lift, practice, study. School, lift, practice, study. These “boring” days were much needed for Owusu and helped him progress as a player. He eventually committed to Susquehanna University, after being courted by the coaching staff. Shortly after, he was approached about an opportunity to walk-on at Howard. He spent just over a year as a member of the team, before eventually walking away from the sport. Many factors contributed to this separation from football, but regardless of the reason, it left Wu without much outside of school. During the pandemic, Wu struggled to cope with the death of a beloved Howard staff member. He details how he enjoys the sweet science of boxing and has recently joined a gym that has changed his outlook on life. The most tangible and applicable advice that he has gained thus far is to stick and move. Stay tuned for the end, and one of my favorite q and a periods!

If you could time-travel, what band would you go back and befriend right before they made it BIG?? Well, we have yet to crack time-travel, but the good news is we all get to be up-close friendly-fans of our guests today and after the rest of the world hears their new single, we'll be able to say we knew them when. Guest Bios: If you've been a HERE.together listener for a while, you already know Candace Devine and Drew Hall, local music powerhouses and all-around good eggs. They have ridiculous musical credentials individually, and together they, along with Johan Glidden, have formed a Supergroup called Ponderosa Grove, that is not only blending amazing local talent into a band that is destined for greatness, but they are building an equally powerful arts culture here in Prescott that embraces excellence, collaboration, and community. For those of you who don't already know, Candace has been a professional singer and songwriter since her early 20s, performing with or opening for acts like Christina Aguilera, Ringo Starr, Styx, the Four Tops and many others. She is a prolific songwriter and collaborator and received a Grammy nomination for her work with jazz saxophonist, Mindi Abair. Candace also hosts the Creative Convergence Podcast that features conversations with world-class artists, musicians, and other creatives. Drew Hall is a former banker who defied the 9-5 life at his earliest opportunity, going on to be in every kind of band, teach guitar to young and old musicians alike, and to curate exceptional music shows here in Prescott. In pre-Covid times, Drew could be spotted playing with the Cheektones, Summa Totius, THiS Trio with Slim Gamble of Lady Antebellum fame, et cetera! Stay tuned for a laughter-filled AND deeply insightful conversation about the creative process, the art of leadership, and the positive role of music in bridging differences. You'll be treated to not one, but 2 songs from their forthcoming album and Charles treats us to a terrible metaphor about how collaboration is like spiders and centipedes. For more about Ponderosa Grove, the musicians, and links to the June 18th live stream, and curated book suggestions view the show notes at: https://www.here-together.us/pod/how-to-take-it-to-the-next-level --- Send in a voice message: https://anchor.fm/here-together/message

He's given away more than 4,000 doobies in support of vaccinations, along with U Bake Cannabis.Jerry also talks about his work using cannabis dollars to restore an Underground Railroad house into a pseudo-museum. Also: giving away hundreds of turkeys at Thanksgiving and adopting families at Christmas time. Jerry also dishes about the jealous competitors he deals with in Walled Lake, and shares stories of their crazy ways to bring about his downfall. It's hilarious! The crew is joined by Ryan Basore to announce next week's special guest: Michael Thompson, the nationally-known former cannabis prisoner granted clemency by Michigan's governor after a furious citizen campaign. Quincy Maxwell is a Junior business administration major at Howard, hailing from Somerset, New Jersey. He currently serves as a Cadet in the Howard ROTC program, and details his newfound wisdom from the program. During the Summer of 2018, Quincy and I were anxiously awaiting our roommate selections. They were not revealed to us until 3 days before move-in, which did not present a ton of time to iron out logistics. Low and behold, Quincy and I were slated to be roommates in Drew Hall. We speak about how both of us had conflicting ideas of the other based on our Instagram profiles. We direct messaged one another to establish the general connection, and the rest is history. Before living together, Maxwell had actually just completed a pre-med program in Howard's campus. Though he was able to meet some of his closest friends during that time, including episode 19 guest and ROTC battle buddy Samaria Campbell, he realized two things. 1) Biology was not his passion and 2) The Summer experience would be drastically different. Q and I spent the first week of School getting to know the rest of our dorm and playing lots of basketball. At the end of the week, just two days before classes were slated to begin, we both engaged in “HU Day of Service”. This volunteering event placed members all across the DMV. It was there that I first heard him make a mention of joining ROTC. He describes in detail how he saw all the benefits holistically, and knew that he could meet them in the middle with his work ethic. There were certainly growing pains, and it was by no means simple to begin running 5 miles everyday or go on long Ruck marches. However because he has stayed the course, and done so so well, he was granted with a scholarship from Howard's ROTC. In just a few months, he had shot up to the top of his class. He also appreciates ROTC because he feels like he's working for something greater than himself. Between our Freshman and Sophomore years, Maxwell finally changed his major from Biology to Business. During a pre-med Summer program, his interests had drastically shifted to the stock market. He had to question why he was going the long, taxing medical route when he was more passionate about business. Recorded 2.25.21.

6 episodes in and we're growing each week! Thank you to the listeners. On this week's episode of The Polaroid Podcast, I sit down with Nate Anderson. Anderson and I met in the fall of 2018 at Howard and even lived in the same building, Drew Hall. It was there that him and his partner, Chris Coates, traded verses and hooks nightly. Their group, 375, makes music that is melodic, soulful, and clearly a testament to their talent. Nate and I speak about what it was like to attend Sierra Canyon, being immortalized, his appearance on Late Night with James Corden, and I tell him the story of my first pick-up game at Howard. Despite having gotten a taste of the limelight through the success of his father, Nate is his own man, with his own successes. Though his focus is music at the moment, I would not be surprised to see him back on the screen soon, due to his acting ability. He is also incredibly humble, reminiscing on watching his father establish himself, while also being grateful for all of his opportunities. An all-around artist with something to prove, be on the lookout for Nato in the coming years. Welcome to the first episode of The Polaroid Podcast! Appreciate you for tuning in. In the inaugural episode of the Polaroid Podcast I sit down with my roommate in 732 and close friend, 2019 MEAC Javelin champion Mekhi Abbott. Mekhi proudly reps Central New Jersey, and always takes note of other local talents including Tywone Malone and The Shipp brothers. Like I said Mekhi won our conference championships, as a Freshman! We speak about Mekhi's career, Kanye West, how he got into track, and picked his brain some. Fun fact: Mekhi sold snacks in our freshman Boys dorm, Drew Hall, as a side hustle. Early stages, but we're only going up ! Recorded 2. 18. 20
I speak to Laura Cayouette who plays Esther plus the film's writer and director Drew Hall about their film that combines horror, fantasy and sci-fi elements in a tale of redemption, revenge and the lines between Heaven and Hell.
What makes Prescott (and the rest of the Quad Cities) strong? What makes us unique and successful when things get tough? Our first episode attempts to answer those questions. In the spring of 2020 the COVID-19 pandemic arrived in Prescott and the Quad Cities. We all started seeing the effects and the community felt the strain, but our collective community spirit and ingenuity rose in response. The writers and staff at Prescott Woman Magazine started collecting stories of that resilience and creativity and featured them in the June/July issue of the Magazine, with the headline, Prescott Strong. To further lift up those voices and our community story, Prescott Woman commissioned this oral history. The Prescott Strong Audio Chronicle is a collage of personal reflections and reactions to the COVID-19 pandemic. We trust that you will find it inspiring and meaningful because these are the voices of your neighbors and friends. What makes Prescott (and the rest of the Quad Cities) strong? What makes us unique and successful when things get tough? Our first collaborative episode attempts to answer those questions. This week we are really, stupendously pleased to share with you the first episode of a whole new podcast series. A couple months ago, after interviewing Breeanya Hinkel on this podcast and then partnering with her and her posse of engaged business leaders on the Women in Science episode, we hatched this new project, a new, separate podcast that will feature some of the same stories and interviews from the Prescott Woman print magazine. For the June/July issue, the writers and staff at Prescott Woman Magazine started collecting stories of resilience and creativity in the face of Covid 19. They called the resulting cover story “Prescott Strong.” This first episode of the Prescott Woman Podcast is an expanded audio version of that story. We trust that you will find it inspiring and meaningful because the voices are those of your neighbors and friends. Show Notes: The following women and men contributed quotes: Deputy Police Chief Amy Bonney Claire Louge - executive Director of Prevent Child Abuse Arizona Deputy Fire Chief Cory Moser Kerry Johnson - Special Education Teacher Tina Rose - Parent Jim Cabral - Owner of Gabby’s Grill Rachel Whisenand, Emergency Department Nurse, Yavapai Regional Medical Center Ariana Bennett - Parent The following people shared their trials and triumphs with us in extended interviews. Are you missing live music and the sense of community you feel when out on the town? Are you craving connection with the creative energy of your favorite musicians and artists? This week we’ve got the certified biggest voice in town plus our favorite guitar genius - in the HOUSE! Literally, in our house - don’t worry we stayed in our own corners. Grammy-nominated singer Candace Devine and local rock god Drew Hall join us for a no holds barred talk about creativity, re-invention, and community, as well as playing some music to lift your spirits. We used several of the fan-submitted questions to pry into the life and history and thoughts of our passionately creative guests. Candace has been a professional singer since her early 20s, working with Christina Aguilera, Styx, the Four Tops and many others in the recording studio and out on the road touring. In this episode, we find out that she is both a champion equestrian coach AND a cat enchantress. Also, she swears like a sailor, so proceed at your own risk #totally worth it. Drew is a former banker who defied the 9-5 life at his earliest opportunity, going on to be in every kind of band, teach guitar to young and old musicians alike, and curate exceptional music shows here in Prescott. In pre-Covid times, Drew could be spotted playing with the Cheektones, Summa Totius, THiS Trio with Slim Gamble of Lady Antebellum fame, Drew & Anton, and many many more! 3This podcast episode hits a lot of the superlative buttons: longest, loudest, biggest recording challenge, most cat input, most social media engagement, and definitely the most musical. Candace and Drew played two songs for us live, and we play you the recording of “Don’t Worry Child (Rosalyn)” their newest collaboration and entry into the NPR Tiny Desk Concert. “Don’t Worry Child is ostensibly about Drew’s daughter, but in our view, it’s really for and about all of us living through these stressful times. Oh mainstream medicine and the 'groupthink' that it has created. I know you probably get the image of 'chiropractor' bending and popping every joint in your body. I know, I know. I thought the same thing too. I have seen this live and in person, and trust me in 30 minutes you will have a completely different view. BREAK---- Yep, told ya. This literally can change lives. Check them out at amplemeal.com This will also be linked in the show notes. Break -- 3 pointer time! The 3 points of the week are: In commemoration of the nba finals we are going to roll with our 3pters of the week being the top 3 nba teams ever assembled. And this is going to be the debate for a long time, trust me on that. It already is. #3. 1971-72 LA Lakers. Going old school here - Jerry West, Elgin Baylor, Wilt Chamberlin, do I need to say more? And they say there weren't any 'big 3' powerhouses back in the day. Yeah. 69 win season and a title with a stretch of winning 33 straight. Though to beat that. But 2 teams do. And here is the hot debate --- #2 1995-96 Chicago Bulls - Yep, there it is. MJ, Pippen, Rodman and the crew - 72 win season, title over the Stockton/Malone Utah Jazz. But, not the best team of all time. And anytime you say 'MJ' isn't the best of all time in a category, there is going to be a revolution. Literally. Sorry MJ. #1 2016-2017 Golden State Warriors - We are all witnessing history literally in front of our eyes. On a team that has the best shooter to ever play the game in Steph Curry, one of the best pure scorers to ever Kevin Durant, another top 5 shooter of all time Klay Thompson, role players who are All Stars, the most high powered offense in the history of the game, and one of the highest defensive efficiencies over the past 3 years. The numbers speak for themselves, but the eye test - its a thing of beauty. Literally the most beautiful flowing basketball that has ever been assembled. Now the debate of best player ever....Thats another story. And will be coming soon to the 3pters of the week. I'd love to hear from you on who you think is the best team and best player ever. The Warrior Life - Overcoming The Mental and Physical Battles of Life
Name of Expert: Dr. Drew Hall Who They Are & Something Only The People Closest To Them Know: As a junior in high school he was on the baseball team and got into a fight with a teammate, The guy eventually had him upside down and accidentally dropped him on his head and heard a crack. He thought he was paralyzed but realized he was fine and moved on. Then slowly over a 6 month period, he ended up experiencing various symptoms like headaches, sinus issues, sleep issues. In the beginning, it was episodic but it got progressively worse and worse. Then he was nauseous for 2 years. This his arm started going numb. He figured it would eventually go away and never did. He eventually made his way to a holistic doctor that helped him remember the fight and recommended that he go to an upper cervical spine chiropractic. He finally got the answers and help he needed. Heart Of The Interview: This interview was fascinating for me to do. Dr. Drew dives deep into what the heck an upper cervical chiropractor is, how they are different from other chiropractors, and who should get their cervical spine check. He shares a wealth of knowledge about how the body works and why people are suffering from chronic issues. If you are dealing with a chronic issue or any issue at all then listen to this interview because you might discover a way to cure it without pills and operations. Matty P Radio Presents: Marks v. Pros & Saturday Morning Cereal
Take some time this week to remember your original happy hour: Saturday mornings as a kid, waking up at dawn, jumping on the couch with a bowl of chocolate cereal, turning on the ‘toons, tuning out the outside world, and working your way into a sugar hangover before noon. On this particular Saturday morning Grim sneaks out of bed early to steal the remote and share with you a brand new hidden gem of a movie: Convergence. Mixed in with his shameless plug and gushing praise for this taut genre-defying quintuple-twisting ride, Grim chats with its writer/director Drew Hall (Sons of Liberty, Aether: Prologue) plus its star Clayne Crawford (Jericho, Rectify, 24, Justified) about making a blockbuster quality movie on nothing but a shoestring budget and a great story. So get excited but keep your voice down (or we'll wake everyone up and get caught!)... because this is a Stolen Remote episode! Warning this was recorded live in a car and there was a little trouble with the recorder so the quality isn't as normal. We're going to break down this episode into two parts. In part one we get deep into recent race issues such as the Black men shot by police in Tulsa, Oklahoma in South Carolina, as well as our experiences with racism in the past week. We get into white people treating us as pets because of our hair and how Black people, especially young Black men, get a separate "Black Education" from our parents that we get in addition to traditional schooling in order to survive. From there we get into what we're eating and foods as aphrodisiacs. This is supposed to be a Hip-Hop podcast, so of course we get into albums that mean something to us and reminiscing about Soulja Boy, Master P The Last Don and No Limit, Kanye West and College Dropout, Twista and his Kamikaze album, Lil Wayne, Nardwuar interviews, Nas albums, Camron & Dipset, Young Jeezy, and a lot more. We get personal in this episode about our connection to music growing up & Singod's older brother's influence on our musical tastes. Shoutout to Howard University & Drew Hall!
