Dustin Jacoby opened the card up against Maxim Grishin. And Jacoby's movement and workmate wore down Grishin and 'The Hanyak' walked away with a solid victory! One of the best performances of the night came in the second bout, Ronnie Lawrence put on one hell of a display against Vince Cachero. Both worked at a super fast pace throughout, but Lawrence was relentless with his diverse attack, eventually getting the sole finish of the night with a rear naked choke in the third! To close the Prelims, Thiago Moisés showed that now his stand-up is just as sharp & dangerous as his ground game! Opening up the Main card Alex Caceres had a dominant performance and got only his second four fight win streak. With the form Caceres has been showing, who knows when that streak will end!! Jimmie Rivera and Pedro Munhoz put on one hell of a rematch! With the shots that were going back & forth, it's surprising either were standing by the end of things. And that's not even taking into account the calf kicks Rivera ate. With Munhoz's win, anyone who tries to say they wouldn't watch a third in this series, is a liar!!! Celeste was married to her high school sweetheart and heaven sent soulmate. They were together for over 20 years and were married for 13. They were blessed with a big family as Celeste and Anthony were blessed with 8 children. Celeste's life came to an abrupt halt when her husband was diagnosed with sarcoma in the lungs in 2018. How often have you found yourself saying, “Part of me knows I should do ‘X', but another part of me wants to do ‘Y',” or, “Intellectually, I understand 'Y,' but emotionally, I feel ‘Z'.” Yes, we contradict ourselves, and have multiple personalities. Believe it or not this is normal! Where it can become problematic is when parts of us become extremely over-protective.IFS focuses on the naturally protective function of parts of ourselves, and what those parts are trying to protect us from. There is no such thing as a bad part. People are self-protective, not self-destructive. Even when we do things that are “bad” for us, our original intent is to protect ourselves from emotional discomfort or pain. And when it comes to disordered eating, protecting one's self from emotional pain becomes the number- one priority. Undereating, overeating, purging, exercising compulsively—these behaviors are intended to increase better feeling states or decrease unpleasant ones.In using IFS, I help my clients identify the different parts of themselves, and understand what that part's intention is, and what it's needing in order to stop engaging in its behavior. Having insight into these questions can have a profound effect on one's internal state, actions and create true healing & peace with food.

These are interesting times in which we work, are they not? For many analysts, "remote work" is what they call "every weekday" or, for those who don't have things fully figured out, "every day that ends in 'Y.'" For other analysts, the current pandemic has forced them into being an unplanned — and not necessarily desired — full-time remote worker. Juggling kids, silencing pets, finding a horizontal work surface, and grappling with which pair of sweatpants to don are all the sorts of challenges (opportunities?!) that remote working can bring.
