The Void of Course Moon in modern astrology is defined as when the Moon is transiting through one sign and completes all of its aspects with the other planets before changing into the next sign. It is considered a liminal state - a loophole of sorts - that is to be avoided in some circumstances and embraced in others. Join astrologer Jill Loftis to learn more about the use of the Void of Course Moon in astrology and how to proceed with your astrological planning in the future with an awareness of this state of the Cosmos. The feeling I was left with after a very Neptunian conversation today with astrologer Chad Woodward was hopefulness. I have been reading Chad's newsletters and articles for several years, and was honored to have him join me on The Natural Wisdom Podcast. Chad shared his considerable insights into the archetypal forces at work in our world today, including:* Chad's historical research into activations of the Aries Point (0 Aries, the first degree of the Tropical Zodiac) led him to aptly name its energy as “pushing boundaries of reality”;* The legacy of the previous conjunction of Saturn and Neptune at this point over 2500 years ago has lessons and resonance for our time;* We are in an uncomfortable liminal space of growing into something new, and we won't know what it looks like on the other side until we get there; and* This is all part of a natural process - we know how to do this.Chad Woodward is a professional astrologer and founder of Kosmic Mind Astrology, with nearly twenty years of experience exploring the symbolic language of the sky. His work combines psychological and evolutionary astrology with a profound appreciation for the rich history of astrology, integrating ancient techniques into a modern, integrative approach. Certified through Steven Forrest's Apprenticeship Program and holding a postgraduate certificate in Cultural Astronomy and Astrology from the University of Wales Trinity Saint David, Chad also draws on his background in cultural anthropology and other social sciences in his astrological research, exploring the complex interrelationship between cultural evolution and planetary alignments. In his counseling practice, Chad uses astrology as a tool for navigating the interplay of choice, creativity, karma, and destiny. His consultations invite clients to see beyond the materialist worldview and engage with the archetypal forces shaping their lives, uncovering deeper meaning, purpose, and potential for spiritual growth. For more of Chad's work:Chad's website: https://www.kosmicmind.com/Kosmic Mind Newsletter sign up: https://www.kosmicmind.com/kosmicmindnewsletterSubstack page: Watch Chad's recent talk on the Aries Point: Find out more about Kristine's Capricorn Solstice Renewal Retreat:https://kristinebackes.com/integrate-and-renew-at-the-solstice/ This is a public episode. Join April tomorrow morning for another Podathon episode, including an interview with Vedic astrologer Kenneth Miller!

JOIN SHERI HORN HASAN @ FOR THIS WEEK'S ASTROLOGICALLY SPEAKING PODCAST WHICH DROPS JULY 4 @ https://www.karmicevolution.com/astrologically-speaking“Where is love? Does it fall from skies above? Is it underneath the willow tree I've been dreaming of?” No, you fool, it comes from within! This is the dilemma we've been dealing with as since we were advised to plant seeds of self-compassion and nurturing at the Cancer New Moon of June 26.As evolutionary astrologer Steven Forrest discusses on a recent podcast about Cancer energy: “If you are forgiving toward yourself you're more likely to be forgiving of others. Loving other people is easier if you love yourself. If you harbor negative feelings about yourself, how can you love anyone else? Actual love has to start inside yourself.”Apparently the U.S. Congress didn't get the message when they passed the Bigly Ugly Bill that cuts Medicaid & other social services--including SNAP, the supplemental food program for children & families in need, & more—on July 3. This was when so many who expressed concern about their constituents losing healthcare flipped rapidly from caring about others to caring only about themselves as we approached the exact Venus/Uranus conjunction in Taurus on July 4. This week's podcast discusses the Capricorn Full Moon at @18'50” of the Capricorn/Cancer axis at 1:37 p.m. PT & 4:37 p.m. ET on July 10, when both luminaries square Ceres, the goddess of the grain, & Hygeia, the goddess of health, squares the transiting nodal axis. Ceres, known as the goddess of the grain, in tension with both luminaries highlights the chasm between compassion for others and selfishness. That's because, as always at a full Moon, the Moon reflects the light of the Sun back to itself, highlighting the Sun's shadow side. And the square of transiting Hygeia to the transiting nodal axis points to the tension between doing the right thing through compassionate understanding that everyone deserves healthcare & depriving them of it in order to save money. At this full Moon, the mature & responsible Capricorn Moon reminds the Cancer Sun of Forrest's advice to “…be wary of excessive self-indulgence, & of becoming so mired with your own needs & [in your own] issues that you ignore the pain of others,” & to release this negative energy during the waning portion of this monthly lunar cycle. So much for that, eh? This podcast outlines the details of what this latest piece of legislation contains, i.e., exactly how much money the U.S. Congress has agreed to strip from the poor and middle class in order to provide the wealthy—including billionaires—with more money to will to their heirs. We look also at the retrograde of Neptune in Aries on July 4, and the July 7 entrance of Uranus into Gemini for the next seven years, barring a short retrograde period from November through April of next year. We also note the upcoming retrogrades of Saturn & Mercury as well, and how with Mercury in Leo until September 2, we'll be hearing loud arguments about how this legislation will negatively affect those most in need among us. This is especially true, too, since Venus enters social, talkative Gemini on July 4 through August 25.This podcast explores the potential for changes in technology, electricity and our local communities when Uranus enters Gemini July 7, as well as the bigger picture energies of the longer cycles currently in play. Increased need for electrical energies & how that might affect local communities, apps that notify people when ICE is within a five-mile range, and greater issues around the collection of personal data cyber security threats, all likely all ramp up during this seven year period.Join us for all this & more Astro News You Can Use when this podcast drops on July 4 @ https://www.karmicevolution.com/astrologically-speaking See you then! Namaste…

https://www.karmicevolution.com/astrologically-speaking LISTEN TO SHERI HORN HASAN'S NEW PODCAST which drops today, March 14! This Virgo Full Moon lunar eclipse opposing Saturn, the Sun, & Neptune—all in Pisces—reminds them that numbers don't lie and that you cannot ignore, or hide, or “disappear” the facts!Mercury's Virgo's about analysis and the Virgo archetype has a strong affinity for numbers, often as in dollars and cents. When we look at what's going on now in the U.S.--with an algorithm system having been given more credence than quality of life--we can see what kind of mess the U.S. is in right now. As jobs & services—particularly those related to health & human services--“disappear,” the Virgo Moon reminds the Pisces Sun that facts DO matter when it comes to quality of life.In essence, the Virgo Mon reminds the Pisces Sun—gathered together with rigid Saturn & often confused Neptune—of two things: 1. That you cannot ignore facts or make them up to fit your wishful thinking (or delusional) plan; & 2. That it's time to ground this plan in reality using a strictly analytical “just the facts, ma'm” methodology. However, this is not what is happening now as the U.S. governmental foundations implode under their own weight and the balance of democracy itself weighs in the balance. While everyone seems to agree that Virgoan efficiency is necessary to cut out waste & fraud, no one seems to have derived the proper methodology to calculate the correct numbers and to create a viable plan that doesn't shock everyone into a rebellious stance.Let's not forget that Mercury's Virgo rules the 6th House in what's known as the natural chart in western tropical astrology. And the 6th House rules service, health, & work, in terms of what we do on a daily basis. The Virgo Moon at this lunar eclipse reminds the Pisces Sun & his friends Saturn & Neptune that you cannot simply fire people en masse with little notice & zero compassion and expect a positive response. There is an irony at this lunar eclipse, however, which is that the Virgo Moon conjoins the Virgo SN at this lunation, which means it's opposing not only the Sun, Saturn, & Neptune now, but the Pisces North Node as well. And in evolutionary astrology, we are to move away from the shadow side of Virgo energy & toward the more empathetic spiritually healing energy for which Neptune-ruled Pisces is known. As evolutionary astrologer Steven Forrest put it in his recent newsletter: “…the south node of the Moon represents the gravity of old habits which are holding us back, while the north node symbolizes the remedy that can liberate us...Right now,” he continues, “the bottom line is that we are all collectively beginning to experience the pressure of any unresolved “Virgo karma” we may be holding onto--and hopefully looking to Pisces for some answers, resolutions, and a new direction.” But the U.S is experiencing now its already triggered Pluto return, which means we're in the process of evolving, though no one knows yet what this nation will evolve into. And right now we're at the beginning of a fight against the extinction of democracy as we've known it these past 250 years. With Pluto now transiting through Uranus-ruled Aquarius—both planets & sign representative of social upheaval—these next few years are not going to happen without a struggle to evolve. Why? In order to survive. What we know right now, according to traditional astrologer Bernadette Brady in her “Predictive Astrology” book, is that the theme of this series of eclipses—both this lunar eclipse now at 23'57” Virgo and the upcoming 9-degree Aries solar eclipse on March 29—is that they both involve physical change. We also know, as per astrologer Ronnie Dreyer, that the energy of the current lunar eclipse will be prevalent at least until the transiting nodal axis hits the 23'57” Virgo degree mark, circa early June. AND that, because the transiting nodal axis already hit 9-degrees Ares circa July 22, 2024, we've been dealing with this upcoming eclipse's energies since then.Find out more about these eclipses and how the Virgo Full Moon lunar eclipse falls in the U.S. Sibly birth chart's 9th House of higher education & the 3rd House of elementary learning as the unelected billionaire Elon Musk & his sidekick President Trump seek to destroy the Department of Education now. And that's occurring as Mercury stations retrograde in Mars-ruled Aries March 15-April 7 (where he joins Venus retrograde in the same sign now.) The Virgo Moon's position in the U.S. 9th House of higher education, law, immigration, & religion at this lunation, along with Mercury's retrograde in the Sibly's 4th House where he joins Venus retrograde there augurs an ongoing & upcoming review of whether current policies protect our families—or harm them. This lunation is already giving rise to judicial reviews of 119 lawsuits filed against the government's current layoff mandates ordered under Musk's DOGE & the damaging off-and-on-again tariffs ordered by President Trump, and more. And given the current recession territory now entered into by the stock market--along with the attempt to deprive a green card holder of the rights to which he is entitled under long-established U.S. law, well, let's just say there's a lot of Astro News You Can Use goin' on right now! Check in at https://www.karmicevolution.com/astrologically-speaking for more on all this & a detailed look at the astro-effects as people begin to protest the dis-compassionate disappearance of jobs, good & services, & of legal rights by a government that doesn't seem to care what happens to its people. And how, if that's not a recipe for revolution…well…tune in for more! Namaste…

Hello dear friends! Episode 296 of StarSound Speaks brings you an interview with astrologer Dan Guirchovitch, author of “Old Stars, New Light.” Nine years in the making, Dan's work is unlike any astrology book you've ever encountered — based on Dan's parleys with an other-dimensional being named Elias. Steven Forrest called it "wonderfully rich, complex and original.” For our episode, Dan takes us through all 12 zodiac signs and shares a taste of how Elias approaches each archetype. Astrologer Dena DeCastro returns to tell us how we can take advantage of two upcoming October eclipses to benefit our lives. In this interview, we learn that eclipses are not rare. We also learn why an eclipse is such a great device to use in Hollywood. According to Dena, “There is a spooky, supernatural quality to the whole idea of an eclipse. Something is literally being interrupted [in] the natural order, and it's a moment of pause. And you can look at that and be kind of spooked out, or you can look at it and say, ‘Wow! Isn't that the coolest thing ever, and I'm going to ride with that energy and do something productive with it.'” Visit BigSeance.com/232 for more info. They occur in pairs, two weeks apart, about every six months. We have two eclipses coming up in October, on the 14th and the 28th! The current series of eclipses is in the Aries/Libra polarity, which began in April. We have a final Taurus/Scorpio polarity eclipse on October 28th. When an eclipse falls in the sign of the north node, it is calling us to aspire to move toward the positive aspects of that sign. This was the case with April's eclipse in Aries: the calling was to integrate the high side of Aries, because that is also the sign of the transiting north node. In contrast, on the upcoming eclipse of October 14th, the shadow side of Libra is more likely to show up. The invitation is to become aware of our own Libra shadow behaviors, and to release them. 9:17 Solar Eclipse and Lunar Eclipse 10:26 Patrick reflects on seeing and experiencing a solar eclipse in 2017 with an entire student body of a middle school! 11:53 The astrology of an eclipse and the transiting nodes. 13:20 The south node is where the shadow material coming up for the collective resides. 15:25 The upcoming October 14th solar eclipse will bring up an awareness and an opportunity to work through and to set intentions around doing good work with the Libra shadow. 16:06 Two weeks before and two weeks after the eclipse is the most potent window, and Dena likes to call the intensified period between two eclipses, the “Eclipse Portal.” Before October 14th — “What do you want to let go of around old relationship patterns?” “What new things do you want to invite in in your relationship life?” 16:50 The October 28th lunar eclipse. Wrap up things you've been working on regarding security, money, safety, and staying grounded. Acknowledge the work and progress you've made and release. 20:53 Purging and letting go. Dena uses Patrick, who is an Aries, as an example of how you can apply the astrology of eclipses in your life. “Were there any significant changes in the spring regarding vitality, health, creativity, or sense of self?” 22:40 Dena continues using Patrick as an example, looking at the Libra qualities in him (as that is the opposite of his sun sign). “Looking at the balance of your relationships, how is it supporting the new things that you've kicked off and started?” 26:25 Dena has succeeded at a daily meditation practice and is seeing the benefits! 29:24 We have even more eclipses coming up! Consider having a new or full moon ritual, or meeting with an eclipse group. 32:43 “There is a spooky, supernatural quality to the whole idea of an eclipse. Something is literally being interrupted [in] the natural order, and it's a moment of pause. And you can look at that and be kind of spooked out, or you can look at it and say, ‘Wow! Isn't that the coolest thing ever?', and ‘I'm going to ride with that energy and do something productive with it.'” 34:57 The eclipse in the 1985 film, Ladyhawke. 36:54 “Eclipses are not rare. They're a regular, cyclic phenomenon that we can all use and enjoy in our lives.” 40:01 Dena's great blog posts, and a recent Let's Get Real Astrology episode, that you can use as a resource! 42:50 Do you struggle to read or understand your basic natal chart?
