Back in 1997, I went to bed with what felt like flu symptoms, only to not get out of bed for two and a half weeks. Then one morning I woke up feeling great, only to find myself in the same situation two weeks later. This went on for two years. I went to every possible doctor I could find who said that they could help me with my situation. Nothing that they did made a difference in my health situation. I found an alternative healer who helped me get back onto my feet again. But that wasn't the root of my problems. My problems were deeper than the Chronic Fatigue I was diagnosed with. My physical, mental, and emotional issues were actually rooted in my dysfunctional upbringing and past life issues I brought with me into this current lifetime. It wasn't until I started on my spiritual path that I began to heal. My healing went deep, and wellness slowly came back to me. There are so many stories like mine where people found relief and healing with alternative methods. Metaphysical Healing is a short work by the healer, mystic, and educator Joel S. Goldsmith. It explores the true nature of self as an infinite spiritual consciousness that brings forth health, peace, and joy. Goldsmith was born in 1892 in New York City. His experiences as a Marine in World War I, and the great suffering and pain he observed on his business travels led him to ask fundamental questions about humanity and God. He began a course of inquiry, searching for universal truth. As a spiritual scholar, he studied writings from ancient Greek, Sanskrit, and Aramaic cultures. On a return trip from Europe in the 1920s, Goldsmith developed pneumonia. A Christian Science practitioner who was on board ship with him was able to heal him of this illness. He soon found, after his recovery, that he too had a healing gift. Strangers began to approach him, requesting relief and prayers. While Goldsmith had no religious training, he is said to have healed many of these people. Still looking for answers to his spiritual questions, he joined the Christian Science Church, where he remained for 16 years. In 1945, he left the church, as he felt that organized religion was a hindrance rather than a help to spiritual growth. After leaving the church, he began to write, espousing his own philosophy on the nature of humanity and God. His pamphlet, Metaphysical Healing, was one of his earlier works. This short guidebook explains that truth is to be found within, not without. Rather than turning to an external God, Goldsmith proclaims that, "The truth is that God is the Mind and Life of the individual. God is the only 'I'. When we understand this, we can transcend the limitations that we have placed on our minds and spirits. Music By Mettaverse Music

The episode started with Thomas introducing himself and what he does (5:00). He goes to explain the term generalist when a viewer asked about it (9:09) and Kai shares her thought about it by referencing a movie (10:55). Thomas adds about discoveries which were actually a confluence of different knowledge in the right place at the right time with the right people (12:04). They proceed to talk about language and how it conveys ways the spirit can impact you (17:09). Dell then opens up about how we have more tools now to make things effortless than before (21:28) and on how it creates a rift between the old ways and the new. Thomas shares his thoughts on how easy it is to spread info but it is also easy to spread misinformation (22:57) which leads to a conversation about the intention and acting on promoting your services (30:18).  A comment then shifts the interview to linguistics (42:13) where Thomas shares that the words we use do create if not the reality, but the perception of it. This concept of transference can also be seen in very diverse rela­tionships in ordinary life. A prisoner might, after a time, transfer his autonomy to a professional interrogator, a student might surrender his autonomy to a teacher, or a citizen may give up his independence to a political leader. In the case of AMORC, through a manipulation of the student's view of the unique authority of the order, the exalted power of the imperator and the AMORC leaders, and the alleged presence of the invisible masters in the training, the monographs themselves assume a unique role. Severing one's connection to the egregore, the sacred pattern of the order on other planes, may not sound so severe to an outsider, but to a Rosicrucian now dependent on the organization, this is a power­ful threat. Remember that a Rosicrucian believes that his fundamental connection to God is linked to his association with the egregore of AMORC. Many times, AMORC is a member's first pass at this type of teaching or organization. When this is the case, AMORC's claims tend to go unquestioned, especially when information coming from ordinary scientific and religious cir­cles is subtly questioned. Since AMORC has its unique calling in the world, other Rosicrucian orders are considered to be pale imitations at best, if not outright frauds. So by the time a neophyte begins to question AMORC, the or­der has created many stumbling blocks inside his mind. To ques­tion AMORC's authority becomes dangerous and even treasonous. The initiate looks at AMORC as the only source of this supersensible knowledge. AMORC tells their initiates that these great developments can be obtained only with the genuine Rosicrucian teaching. See Exercise 1 Aura Pierre says he first witnessed a human aura when he was in the Social Security office and it disturbed him because he did not want to see that. In order to create a compliant and highly suggestible member­ship, certain elements of indoctrination need to be set into place. One of them is "loaded language," in which cult members use special words like Cosmic (instead of God) to give a certain flavor to the cult language. Loading the language. As members continue to formulate their ideas in the group's jargon, this language serves the purpose of constricting members' thinking and shutting down critical thinking abilities. At first, translating from their native tongue into "groupspeak" forces members to censor, edit, and slow down spontaneous bursts of criticism or oppositional ideas. That helps them to cut off and contain negative or resistive feelings. Eventually, speaking in cult jargon is second nature, and talking with outsiders becomes energy-consuming and awkward. Soon enough, members find it most comfortable to talk only among themselves in the new vocabulary. To reinforce this, all kinds of derogatory names are given to outsiders: wogs, systemites, reactionairies, unclean, or Satan. Members are made to feel part of an elite corps of mankind. This feeling of being special, of participating in the most important acts in human history with a vanguard of committed believers, is strong emotional glue to keep people sacrificing and working hard. See: The essays in the Mandamus collection make a variety of key claims about the order. AMORC affirms that the world as we know it is nonexistent. It all only exists in our own mind. Our vocabulary and use of words do not convey the real nature of things. This is soon followed by the assertion that "It is possible to modify the manifestation of matter." Here AMORC lays the foundation to instill in members the belief that they, the select people of this Earth, can change everything. It contends, using its "centuries-old wisdom" card, that "science has finally localized the different zones of the brain, but the Rosicrucians knew since antiquity about such things." It promises that in the future, when the member gets to the sixth temple degree, previous knowledge about health from antiquity will be passed on to the member to help treat a great number of sicknesses. By affirming reasonableness and freedom, AMORC creates a psychological vulnerability in the minds of their students. Their minds are now completely open to the so-called enlightened Rosicrucian methods. In most cults, there is a strong, seemingly rational foundation laid during the early indoctrination phase. One interesting concept, brought out in this monograph, is the assertion that Rosicrucians have no actual right to property. Anything that a member possesses really belongs to the Cosmic. To me, although seemingly idealistic, this doctrine is an attempt to further obliterate personal identity and freedom. In later degrees, AMORC will ask its members to not say I, but we instead. The We belonging to what? Perhaps the we of "our order." Slowly, individual consciousness is raked over to toward the hive mentality. Institutions of a theurgical and esoteric nature that have genuine affiliation don't promote themselves openly on the net like others do, and they are certainly not AMORC, despite the latter being one of the most known Rosicrucian affiliations in the world. "AMORC (just like the O.T.O.) has created a sort of monopoly in this sector, often infiltrating and manipulating smaller orders and affiliations, threatening even lawsuits to stop any form of competition or improper use of their brand of sectarian magick. In positive breathing, you in­ hale and hold the breath for as long as possible; in negative breathing, you exhale, attempting to not inhale for as long as possible. Holding the right thumb between thumb and index of the left hand, the neophyte is asked to practice negative breathing and ob­serve the effect on the right arm. The neophyte is warned to make sure to practice this exercise for two or three minutes. Atrium 2, Monograph 10 AMORC classifies illnesses into two categories: illnesses with a fever and illnesses without a fever. As this classification leads to a choice of treatment, when a member experiences an illness, he must first check to see whether he has a fever. Severing one's connection to the egregore, the sacred pattern of the order on other planes, may not sound so severe to an outsider, but to a Rosicrucian now dependent on the organization, this is a power­ful threat. Remember that a Rosicrucian believes that his fundamental connection to God is linked to his association with the egregore of AMORC. Many times, AMORC is a member's first pass at this type of teaching or organization. When this is the case, AMORC's claims tend to go unquestioned, especially when information coming from ordinary scientific and religious cir­cles is subtly questioned. Since AMORC has its unique calling in the world, other Rosicrucian orders are considered to be pale imitations at best, if not outright frauds. So by the time a neophyte begins to question AMORC, the or­der has created many stumbling blocks inside his mind. To ques­tion AMORC's authority becomes dangerous and even treasonous. The initiate looks at AMORC as the only source of this supersensible knowledge. AMORC tells their initiates that these great developments can be obtained only with the genuine Rosicrucian teaching. See Exercise 1 Aura Pierre says he first witnessed a human aura when he was in the Social Security office and it disturbed him because he did not want to see that. In order to create a compliant and highly suggestible member­ship, certain elements of indoctrination need to be set into place. One of them is "loaded language," in which cult members use special words like Cosmic (instead of God) to give a certain flavor to the cult language. Loading the language. As members continue to formulate their ideas in the group's jargon, this language serves the purpose of constricting members' thinking and shutting down critical thinking abilities. At first, translating from their native tongue into "groupspeak" forces members to censor, edit, and slow down spontaneous bursts of criticism or oppositional ideas. That helps them to cut off and contain negative or resistive feelings. Eventually, speaking in cult jargon is second nature, and talking with outsiders becomes energy-consuming and awkward. Soon enough, members find it most comfortable to talk only among themselves in the new vocabulary. To reinforce this, all kinds of derogatory names are given to outsiders: wogs, systemites, reactionairies, unclean, or Satan. Members are made to feel part of an elite corps of mankind. This feeling of being special, of participating in the most important acts in human history with a vanguard of committed believers, is strong emotional glue to keep people sacrificing and working hard. See: The essays in the Mandamus collection make a variety of key claims about the order. AMORC affirms that the world as we know it is nonexistent. It all only exists in our own mind. Our vocabulary and use of words do not convey the real nature of things. This is soon followed by the assertion that "It is possible to modify the manifestation of matter." Here AMORC lays the foundation to instill in members the belief that they, the select people of this Earth, can change everything. It contends, using its "centuries-old wisdom" card, that "science has finally localized the different zones of the brain, but the Rosicrucians knew since antiquity about such things." It promises that in the future, when the member gets to the sixth temple degree, previous knowledge about health from antiquity will be passed on to the member to helptreat agreat number of sicknesses. By affirming reasonableness and freedom, AMORC creates a psychological vulnerability in the minds of their students. Their minds are now completely open to the so-called enlightened Rosicrucian methods. In most cults, there is a strong, seemingly rational foundation laid during the early indoctrination phase. One interesting concept, brought out in this monograph, is the assertion that Rosicrucians have no actual right to property. Anything that a member possesses really belongs to the Cosmic. To me, although seemingly idealistic, this doctrine is an attempt to further obliterate personal identity and freedom. In later degrees, AMORC will ask its members to not say I, but we instead. The We belonging to what? Perhaps the we of "our order." Slowly, individual consciousness is raked over to toward the hive mentality. Institutions of a theurgical and esoteric nature that have genuine affiliation don't promote themselves openly on the net like others do, and they are certainly not AMORC, despite the latter being one of the most known Rosicrucian affiliations in the world. "AMORC (just like the O.T.O.) has created a sort of monopoly in this sector, often infiltrating and manipulating smaller orders and affiliations, threatening even lawsuits to stop any form of competition or improper use of their brand of sectarian magick. They are a sort of multinational of the occult., and prefers to present itself as an emanation of the false positivity of the New Age era. It is actually an additional tool of manipulation in the hands of the usual suspects." Now, even in their sleep, members can do Rosicrucian exercises. AMORC is not content just to show the value of deep breathing. It attempts to bring the member to believe that deep breathing was "invented by a Rosicrucian."Burning incense, sleeping on your back, singing vowel sounds, chewing your food properly ... all of these and more involve private facets of your life that are ultimately branded with the AMORC signature. You learn how to eat, breathe, and sleep in the Rosicrucian way ... See: Prisoner of San Jose The exercise that follows uses "negative breathing," a technique that is the opposite of "positive breathing." In positive breathing, you in­ hale and hold the breath for as long as possible; in negative breathing, you exhale, attempting to not inhale for as long as possible. Holding the right thumb between thumb and index of the left hand, the neophyte is asked to practice negative breathing and ob­ serve the effect on the right arm. The neophyte is warned to make sure to practice this exercise for two or three minutes. Atrium 2, Monograph 10 AMORC classifies illnesses into two categories: illnesses with a fever and illnesses without a fever. As this classification leads to a choice of treatment, when a member experiences an illness, he must first check to see whether he has a fever. In Rosicrucian therapy, someone who has a fever, no matter what the cause of the illness, is evincing a need for negative energy. In this case, you need to use a negative breathing treatment. If the illness comes without a fever, default to a positive treatment. Atrium 2, Monograph 11 In this monograph, the neophyte again begins a treatment by wash­ ing his hands and drinking a glass of water. Again, basic activities in life will become a trigger that will help release the cult personality, making obtaining the freedom of the mind an almost impossible task. Famous metaphysician Evelyn Monahan shows you how to use your mind as an all-powerful force in living your life free of pain, illness and worry. One of the more spectacular cases involving the use of visualization to change or repair the body is told by Evelyn M. Monahan, a writer and lecturer who in the early 1960s was involved in a serious accident. Her head was badly injured and as a result she went blind. Her doctors told her that nothing could be done. At 22, she faced the prospect of a life without sight. But that was only part of it. Even worse was the fact that the same injury had turned her into an epileptic who experienced as many as a dozen seizures a day. Even with medicine, the attacks came 10 times daily. To further complicate things, four years later she suffered another accident. This one left her right arm paralyzed. Perhaps understandably, Monahan felt pretty sorry for herself and became bitter and resentful. But finally, nine years after the initial accident, she decided to do something about her situation. She knew that conventional medical treatment had not worked, so she began reading about unconventional medical treatment. She learned about visualization techniques in which the afflicted person uses images designed to restore the body to health. Knowing she had nothing to lose, she vowed to try the techniques and asked two friends to try them as well, on the assumption that the psychic energies of three people were better than those of just one. Ten days later Monahan's eyesight returned instantaneously. At the same time her epileptic sei-zures stopped. She went to her doctor, who ran several tests on her and found no further evidence of epilepsy. Soon afterward she stopped taking her medicine. "I have not experienced an epileptic seizure since that fateful day when my eyesight was returned to me," she wrote in her 1975 book The Miracle of Metaphysical Healing. A week after the sudden curing of the blindness and epilepsy, she could move her right arm freely. The paralysis with its attendant pain had gone, never to return. Healing Others Through Visualization A story like this verges on the miraculous, not only because of what it says about the mind's control over the physical body, but because of what it implies about the mind's ability to heal others. Monahan is convinced that her friends' visualizations were essential in her own healing. After her own healing, Monahan vowed to teach others the techniques she had used. On a number of occasions she or her students even visualized healings for others. She describes the case of Mary C., whose 15-year-old son, Bobby, had been badly burned in an auto accident. In the first weeks of Bobby's hospitalization doctors had given him drugs to relieve his pain. The medication could have become addictive if continued, though, so it was stopped. His wounds were far from healed, however. When the pain returned, it came back with a vengeance. His parents listened heartbrokenly as he cried and screamed for someone to help him. Mary C., who had heard of a healing course Monahan was teaching, called her. The two met soon afterward. Monahan outlined the visualization method that had helped her and the mother returned to her vigil at her son's bedside. She and her husband immediately began to imagine Bobby free of pain. Their son was well on the road to full recovery. An hour later Bobby lapsed into peaceful slumber, the first real rest he had had in four days. In a few hours he awoke and spoke briefly with his parents before falling asleep again. "Mother, Dad, thanks for helping me," he said. "It doesn't hurt anymore. I'm just awful sleepy." His parents continued to use visualization. In the weeks to come Bobby's recovery from his injuries proceeded with a rapidity that astonished his doctors. The physicians had concluded early on that several major skin-grafting operations would be necessary. The expression, "the hand of God," is frequently used in the Bible, and with a wide range of meaning. For instance, it is used to signify God's eternal purpose and executive power (Acts 4:28, 30) ; His providential bounty and goodness (Psal. 104:28): His mighty power to preserve and defend (John 10: 28,29) ; His sovereign power (Psal. 31:15) ; His help (Neh 2:8, Psal. 74:11) ; His favor (Luke 1:66) ; His spirit (1st Kings 18:46, Ezek 1:3, 37:1); His providence (1st Chron. 29:16, Job. 2:10). By the laying on of hands, priests were consecrated, ministers were ordained, and special gifts conferred on individuals (Num. 8:10, Acts 6:6, 13:3, 1st Tim. 4:14). At the command of God, Moses, by the laying on his hands appointed Joshua his successor (Num. 27:18). The Apostles, through the laying on of hands, conferred the Holy Ghost on those who had been baptized (Acts 8:17, 19:6). If you will study the manner in which Jesus used His hands in healing and the directions which He gave His disciples for using them for the same purpose, you will, probably, get an enlarged idea of the importance and place which Jesus intended the laying on of hands should have among His followers. Jesus Himself healed the sick by laying His hands upon them: "He laid His hands on a few sick folk, and healed them" (Mark 6:5). "Now, when the sun was setting all they that had any sick with divers diseases brought them unto Him and He laid His hands on every one of them, and healed them" (Luke 4:40); "And He laid His hands on her and immediately she was made straight and glorified God" (Mark 13:13). Apparently the use of His hands was commonly regarded as a regular part of His procedure, for Jairus said to Him, "My little daughter lieth at the point of death ; I pray Thee, come and lay Thy hands on her that she may be healed; and she shall live" (Mark 5:23). After commanding His disciples to "go into all the world and preach the gospel to every creature," Jesus declared, "these signs shall follow them that believe; they shall lay hands on the sick and they shall recover" (Mark 16:18). That these were not mere idle words from the mouth of Jesus is shown by the fact that it was through the laying on of the hands of Ananias that Paul received his sight after he had been smitten with blindness while on his way to Damascus (Acts 9:17). And Paul also healed in the same manner: "And it came to pass that the father of Publius lay sick of a fever and of a bloody flux, to whom Paul entered in and prayed and lay his hands on him and healed him" (Acts 28:8). We have quoted only a few of the many passages in the Bible (Cruden's Concordance gives more than 500 such) in which the hand is used as an instrument in conveying some thought of blessing or in healing. But they are sufficient to show that both the prophets and Jesus understood the power of the hand and made an extensive and varied use of it. Jesus even made healing by the laying on of hands one of the tests of the genuineness of the belief in Him of those who profess to follow His teachings (Mark 16:18). It is not strange, therefore, that the hand has played an important part in Christian literature and in the symbolism and ceremonies of the church, but under the influence of the words and example of the prophets and of Jesus, is it not strange that Christian people have not further developed this instinctive idea that the hand is the means for blessing and help? From the time of Edward the Confessor to the reign of Queen Anne, the English and French rulers "Touched" and cured thousands of sufferers from scrofula. Although the hand as a means for expressing conscious thought is most important, it is far more important as a means for impressing and awakening response from the unconscious mind. It is the unconscious mind that must be aroused in all healing, for it is upon its actions that all healing depends.
