This week's message, “We're Part of a Bigger Story,” takes us into the final verses of Hebrews 11—a powerful reminder that our faith journey is deeply connected to the courageous lives of those who came before us. Some saw great victories, others endured deep suffering, but all lived by faith and trusted God with the outcome. In a world that often prizes comfort and ease, this sermon invites us to see hardship through a new lens: as part of a greater story God is telling through His people. Whether you're walking through challenge or choosing to step out in faith, this message offers perspective, hope, and a sense of purpose that goes far beyond your present moment.
We're blessed to hear from our Teaching & Creative Pastor, Brant Cole, this morning as he brings us a message as we continue to study through the book of Hebrews. Faith is more than just belief—it's the confidence to trust God even when we can't see the full picture. In this message, we dive into Hebrews 11, the "Hall of Faith," to discover how ordinary people pleased God by stepping out in faith, obeying His call, and trusting His promises. Their stories challenge us to examine our own faith: Are we merely agreeing with God's truth, or are we living it out daily? If you've ever struggled with uncertainty, fear, or doubt, this sermon will encourage you to take bold steps of faith, knowing that when we trust God enough to follow Him, we'll see Him enough to show Him. #WalloonChurch #LoveLikeJesus #Hebrews #ByFaith #Jesus #WalloonChurch #LoveLikeJesus #Hebrews #ByFaith #Jesus

Happy Palm Sunday and welcome to Walloon Lake Community Church! If you're new here today, we just want to say that we are excited you're joining us online! PLAN TO JOIN US FOR EASTER: http://walloonchurch.com/Easter We're blessed to hear from our Teaching & Creative Pastor, Brant Cole, this morning as he brings us a message from Luke 23:32-43 about an encounter between Jesus and a condemned criminal. In today's message, we find a notorious criminal whose late conversion to Christianity challenges our understanding of God's limitless mercy. This points us to this truth: true life is found in fearing and honoring Jesus. We're observing Luke's account of Jesus' crucifixion, taking special interest in the significance of His interactions with the criminals beside him. One criminal mocked Jesus, while the other, recognizing Jesus' innocence and divinity, sought his mercy. This pivotal moment highlights the point that acknowledging Jesus as Lord - fearing him - is the pathway to eternal life. Our response to Jesus - whether doubt or dependence - determines our eternal destiny. We're blessed to hear from our Teaching and Creative Pastor, Brant Cole, this morning as he brings us a message in our new series called "Colossians: The Complete Life". Today's message addresses the common struggle of feeling distant from God and the futile efforts to atone for it through self-discipline or judgment of others. The main point that we see in Colossians 2 is that Christ's work is sufficient for our salvation, negating the need for self-made righteousness. "Loving the Gospel for yourself leads to godliness in yourself." - Pastor Brant Cole
We're blessed to hear from our Teaching and Creative Pastor, Brant Cole, this morning as he brings us a message in our new series called "Colossians: The Complete Life". Today, he walks us through one of the most glorious descriptions in the Bible of Jesus Christ in Colossians 1. And then the message points to how believers should revere, revolve around, and reveal Christ in all our lives. "Reveal the story of Christ in you, the hope of glory!" - Pastor Brant Cole
We're blessed to hear from our Teaching and Creative Pastor, Brant Cole, this morning as he brings us a message in our series called "Emotionally Healthy Spirituality". Today, he talks about the command and the healing opportunity of forgiveness. In fact, forgiveness is one of the defining actions of a Christian. We are rarely more like God than when we forgive. "Christians can forgive the inexcusable in others, because God has forgiven the inexcusable in us." - Pastor Brant Cole

Several months ago, The Atlantic reported that forty million Americans have stopped attending church in the past 25 years, representing the largest concentrated change in church attendance in American history. In today's episode, I talk with pastor's kid turned pastor, Natalie Runion, about the trend of diminishing church attendance. Natalie Runion is the author of Raised to Stay: Persevering in Ministry When You Have a Million Reasons to Walk Away, worship leader, and the former Pastor of Women and Creative Pastor of Family Ministry at New Life Church in Colorado Springs, CO. Natalie has also established the Raised to Stay community “for anyone weary of God's people but longing to keep their faith in God.” In my time with Natalie, we talk about how her experience in the church has led to her current work and ministry, the beauty that is possible in the church, as well as the lies about beauty she's seen at work in women's ministry. Perhaps most importantly, Natalie reminds us that despite the brokenness we sometimes encounter in the church, God's steadfast beauty remains.Buy Melissa L. We wrap up the series by talking with Zach Wertish, a local creative pastor and one of Shema's apprentices.
