Teresa Cundiff is a 6x Best-Selling author and TV talk show host of Teresa Talks. She's a professional proofreader, and the talk show was born out of that really. She's married to Brian for 32 years and has two grown sons and one daughter-in-love. Brian is a retired Army officer, so they moved around a lot when the boys were small. Teresa is a professional singer and actor, so the big leap to the small screen wasn't difficult at all. On her show, she interviews authors who are "published & unpublished." This just means that she also wants to talk to the brilliant people who have yet to write their books. Teresa also is of the mindset that everyone has a book, however small, inside of them. Teresa has reinvented herself many times through the years to continue to be a stay-at-home mom which was her first calling when the boys came along. I had lots of preconceived notions as to what I thought I was going to do and be with my college degree but did all kinds of jobs from place to place as we moved. She would simply say, give yourself permission to be reinvented when necessary. Say YES! And so say yes with as little fear as possible! Change is difficult. Figuring out what to change is often the hardest part. Whether you are looking for different outcomes within your organization, or you are simply trying to create a change in how you live your life, one of the first steps you need to take is to determine what it is you actually need to change to see different results. Braden Cundiff has developed a method to FLIP old behaviors and create new ones. The FLIP approach is defined in Braden's book Flip: Projects to Products: A problem playbook (https://t.co/aQl3a5FY1z). This is the second in a series of podcasts where we are breaking down the steps in Braden's approach and exploring how to make it work for you on a personal and organizational level. In this interview, we explore how to find the problem, why you need to name that problem and create a definition around the scope of it, and then how to assess whether or not it is a problem you can, and should take on. If you'd like to learn more about FLIP you can check out Braden's book, Flip: Projects to Products: A problem playbook (https://t.co/aQl3a5FY1z), or you can check out the first podcast in this series, which gives an overview of the FLIP model for creating change, why it works, how it works, what the model is based on, and how you can get started using it, you can find that here: https://bit.ly/3IJpqMT Contacting Braden LinkedIn: bit.ly/3ck7t93
This week we welcome long standing Nash angler, former legal “big wig” and one of the busiest and most helpful men in carp fishing, none other than Julian Cundiff.Julian takes us back to his formative carp fishing days where he was noticed after submitting an article to Tim Paisley and given the nickname “The Selby Flyer”. This nickname was fitting of Julian's incredible work ethic which runs the course of his whole life but was evident in his carp catching exploits in his early years on northern venues such as Tilery and Drax. Julian talks about his writing and becoming co-editor of carp Fisher working alongside Tim paisley, a role in which he mixed with the founding fathers of carp fishing such as Rod Hutchinson, Kevin Maddocks and in later years Kevin Nash. Julian gives an insight into his writing journal which is still to this day seeing him in print and at present he is working on another book to be released next year. Back to fishing and Julian shares stories about how he balanced a thirty eight year long career in the courts with his carp fishing. In the early years this cost him relationships and friendships but his passion for carp fishing and hard work were always paramount to him in terms of importance. He talks about his overnighters and successfully adapting an approach over the years including his infamous “Claw Rig” that work perfectly for his short session style of fishing. He also talks about his UK personal best of 49lb 6oz caught from Nash Church Lake and how despite him now being retired and having the time, chasing a bigger carp isn't of interest to him. Julian goes in depth on his relationship with Kevin Nash and Nash tackle which goes back to 1989.Finally, Julian talks about his healthy lifestyle, love for music and what keep him motivated in his angling now. He also shares his opinions on modern carp fishing media and why you don't see him appearing on video. This podcast is an incredibly interesting and frank look at a man who is a real piece of carp fishing history. They certainly don't make men and characters like Julian anymore so sit back and enjoy a look into the minds eye of our very own “Jules”
WBSRocks: Business Growth with ERP and Digital Transformation
Due to the proliferation of IoT devices in manufacturing environments, the number of access points prone to attack has increased significantly. And while the OT environments don't have as thicker the code base as the IT environment, OT environments are less secure than IT. The lack of education in how to write production-ready software and a greater push for efficiency have been the reasons why OT devices are more prone to attack with higher safety consequences. In today's episode, our guests, Corey White and David Cundiff from Cyvatar share their insights into how the tradeoffs for greater efficiencies and OEE may be driving cybersecurity issues in the OT environments. They also take a deep dive into a car manufacturer's story where they ended up losing millions of dollars due to a ransomware attack within 8 hrs of attack. Finally, they describe the mechanics of ransomware, how the codebase in OT and IT differ, and why OT devices are harder to secure and more prone to attacks than IT due to the lack of standardization and skillsets of OT operators. For more information on growth strategies for SMBs using ERP and digital transformation, visit our community at wbs.rocks or elevatiq.com. Tonight's guest, Nate, is an environmental specialist who works for a company that's based out of the Chicagoland area. Nate's job requires him to do a lot of traveling to remote places, to monitor the water quality at various sites. One day, while he and a coworker were at a remote, inactive quarry, that his company owns, just outside of Elkhorn, Wisconsin, Nate saw a creature he had heard about, but didn't believe to be extant. The Beast of Bray Rd. Until he had that sighting, he thought Dogmen weren't real. He thought Dogmen were just imaginary beings that were talked about in tv shows for entertainment. Changing behavior is never easy. Whether you are talking about changing a habit at an individual level, or organizationally, there is going to be a struggle and it is easy to get lost in the language of loss… I won't eat dessert tonight. We won't over-commit this Sprint. Committing yourself to introduce a new behavior that is a change from your normal habits can be even more daunting because it not only demands you stop doing what you've been doing, but you have a new thing you have to do at the same time. I will get up early and exercise before work. We will break down all our work into increments that can be delivered in 3 days or less. Change is demanding. Braden Cundiff has developed a set of practices designed to FLIP the way we approach change and create a greater opportunity for a successful and sustained change. This approach involves reframing how we look at change and creating a scenario where it is easier to say Yes to the change than it is to say No. In this episode of the podcast, Braden explains his Flip model for creating change, why it works, how it works, what the model is based on, and how you can get started using it. No one could have predicted everything that's happened in 2020, or what the rest of the year holds. Uncertain times are tough, but they're also opportunities for innovation. Where can business leaders still find great opportunities for growth? In this episode Chad Cundiff, President of the Astronautics Corporation of America shares his thoughts on the future of aviation and the role innovation will play. Innovation doesn't need to come with an exorbitant price tag. In my experience, people with innovative ideas can usually prove out their ideas without a big budget. -Chad Cundiff Three Things You'll Learn In This Episode Innovation isn't limited by the size of your company Small companies won't always have access to experts on any given topic, but that doesn't need to stop us from developing new, original ideas. How to bring in new ideas & perspectives without breaking the bank Recruiting straight out of universities brings opportunity to grow talent and get in fresh ideas. Why money isn't the problem in innovation Even when there's uncertainty, there will always be money for the right ideas to be developed. Anne Elizabeth Cundiff brings her 18 years of dietitian experience to this episode of the Pursuing Private Practice podcast, and shares with Jennifer how her passion has evolved to helping other dietitians on their journey of achieving career success. Anne recalls how early in her career in 1998, she didn’t have any support while pursuing her education and career choices, and felt alone and isolated with no community or resources at that time. This experience later fueled her passion to provide that missing resource in the complex dietetics industry, leading to the launch of her mentoring business to help dietitians in navigating their career. She also shares with Jennifer how she first learned about Intuitive Eating from a student while working as a Preceptor, and how she incorporates it into her work with clients and refers out to specialized Intuitive Eating dietitians when needed. About Intuitive Eating, she says… “I think as dietitians, regardless of where you’re at in your profession, you have to be open to any new way of thought that can help someone succeed at living their healthiest life.” - Anne Elizabeth Cundiff Some of the topics discussed include: How she mentors new and experienced dietitians who are at a crossroads in their profession, educates them about career options, and provides connections and community. Her threefold approach with mentoring that also includes her book and podcast with over 150 episodes as the conversation piece. The power of working with younger dietitians and students to learn new trends and stay current with the changing industry, and how we collectively work together to uplift the profession. How she’s seen an increase in younger dietitians and those with 10-15 years’ experienced wanting to learn Intuitive Eating , and why it often doesn’t appeal to those with 30+ years’ experience. Examples of how her personalized Business Coaching approach of mentoring has helped dietitians: find their ideal jobs, to understand or re-discover their passion and values, to navigate through burnout from high-intensity jobs and transition to other areas of practice. Why it’s normal to switch direction 3 to 4 times in your career and the importance of reaching out for someone to help you navigate those transitions. Examples of how she balances work-life satisfaction and self-care, stays organized and focused, and what she’s learned from her struggle with establishing boundaries. “My approach is letting someone just talk it out, to help people not give up on something that meant so much to them when they first got into the field.” - Anne Elizabeth Cundiff For more information, visit https://www.pursuingprivatepractice.com/19 SPONSOR INFO: 1) This episode is sponsored by a resource for dietitians, The Top 10 Mistakes Professionals Make In Private Practice. Bigfoot and Company 6/3/2019 - Special Guest Vic Cundiff
Tonight, Vic Cundiff of Dogman Encounters joins Wolf and Sal at the Paranormal Round Table.
Today Josh McNinch, and "Jew Boy" Mike Cundiff join Knubsie and me again. We discuss censorship in comedy and how it doesn't make sense. We also delve into some of the ethics of being a comic and what is expected, and we finish with a few stories of people shitting themselves. There's a whole mess of randomness thrown in here too, as usual.
On this edition of the show Curtis Burch hosts, Beau Robinson produces and they are joined by new UK Football coach Jon Sumrall, Alex Walker of WKYT and Cam Cundiff of Wildcat Country. We talk Kentucky's comeback win over Arkansas and John Calipari being snubbed on a coach of the year list. Listen to Big Blue Insider weeknights on 630 WLAP wlap.com or the iHeartRadio app.
Billy Cundiff wasn't always a kicker. As a Harlan Little Cyclone, playing for Coach Curt Bladt, Cundiff was a state title winning quarterback, a successful basketball player, and high jumper. Tim and Cundiff talk about playing for an all-time great football coach and growing up in an elite sports community. As humble as they come, Cundiff credits his older brother, coaches, and teammates for his successes in high school. Kicking is what Cundiff is known for now but growing up he was a multisport athlete and kicking wasn't his priority. Even at Drake University, Cundiff was both on both the basketball and football teams. Luckily for us, his football career had the trajectory of one of his kickoffs. Though he was All-Pioneer League as a freshman (though he was only 8-18 on kicks) he describes himself as raw. As he continued to improve, a few 50 yard kicks, and even a 62-yarder against the University of San Diego, the NFL became a real possibility. I just had to fake it until I made it Cundiff's career started out in Dallas, with Emmitt Smith, Hard Knocks, and a whole new world of pressure. The largest crowd Cundiff played for in college was 13,000 at Southern Illinois. Football fans will really appreciate the inside look at his early successes, his time out of football, getting cut, and finding his new role in the NFL. Billy Cundiff's sports career from small town star to fighting his way back into professional football is a great story and fits everything the Moonlight Graham Show is about. Hard work, perseverance, humility, and taking advantage of every opportunity.
We discuss life as sponsored angler and what you can do to become one.

Luanne Cundiff — president and CEO of First State Bank of St. Charles and vice chairman of ABA’s Community Bankers Council — was one of six community business leaders and the only banker to join an Oval Office meeting today with President Trump and members of his cabinet. In this eight-minute bonus episode, recorded shortly after the White House meeting, Cundiff recaps the event and shares her message to the president: that while much has been done on the regulatory reform front, there's more to do. She also discusses the importance of being the only representative of banks in the room and how the health of banks fuels the health of the overall economy.

Kristi Cundiff and I discuss, “Foster-Care Advocacy”. Kristi Cundiff is the founder and administrator of The Indiana Foster and Adoptive Parents Facebook Support Group, aka IFAAP. IFAAP boast over 7,000 members. During this episode, Kristi will discuss the top issues that affect foster parents, she’ll talk about the Foster Parent Bill of Rights, and Kristi will offer suggestions on how NOT to burn-out as a foster parent. The Indiana Foster and Adoptive Parents Resource and Advocacy Group, Inc. (IFAAP), originated as a closed Facebook Group. Kristi Cundiff, Administrator and CEO, wanted a place where foster and adoptive parents in the State of Indiana could network and get support. Kristi and her husband, Brian, live in a small town in central Indiana. Together they have fostered many children, adopted eight special needs children, and continue to foster youth aged 18-21 for the Collaborative Care Program through the Indiana Department of Child Services. They also are proud parents of four biological daughters (29, and 27-year-old triplets), and dote on a amazing son-in-law and two adorable grandsons. Family means the world to Brian and Kristi. In fact, Kristi has focused her career on special needs foster and adoptive children. Kristi’s motto is to “Nurture little children and grow big dreams,” which can be found on a small plaque she has sitting on her office desk. Kristi’s desire to offer connection and support to other foster and adoptive parents has grown far beyond her initial goal. Every day, more people ask to join the Facebook group. Today there are more than 7,000 members, and the group continues to expand. With this growth, Kristi saw an opportunity to do even more for Indiana’s foster and adoptive parents and families by formalizing the group’s work as a nonprofit organization. As a nonprofit, IFAAP will be able to offer more coordinated advocacy and support to foster and adoptive families, and raise funds for this important work.

When we think of largemouth bass, most of us either have a vision of a small farm pond or a big wide-open lake. But there are many excellent largemouth bass fisheries in rivers. And the advantage for a fly fisher is that these fish never get into a zone where they are tough to target with a fly rod because they are always in shallow water. Texas has a number of great largemouth rivers, and this week I pick the brain of Winston Cundiff of All Water Guides in Austin, Texas. He shares his techniques for catching these fish, the tackle he uses, and the fly patterns he favors. I think fly-rod bass anglers from around the country will get some solid tips on catching largemouths in moving water. In The Fly Box this week, we explore a number of interesting questions and suggestions: · How are fly hooks tempered, and does bending a small hook in your tying vise weaken it? · Should you approach spooky small-stream trout in still pools from upstream or downstream? · How to make a 4X leader into a 7X leader. · Why do I keep missing strikes when fishing streamers? · What are some tips for catching trout in rivers with high fishing pressure? · Can I fish a soft hackle as a dropper behind a dry fly? · How can plus-size anglers sneak up on trout? · What is a level line? · A tip from a listener on how to avoid pricking your finger on the hook when tying flies.

Nat, Mike and Dan are getting pretty worked up about the Superbowl but even more worked up about the fact that it was Dan's birthday just a few days ago, the Oscars are coming up and Nat's hosting the Superbash this year. Aside from that it's just business as usual with Pappy Dan making a welcome return and does everyone hate the Bruins? In other news: It’s a Giants, Patriots Superbowl for the second time in four years after both of their opponents spazzed it late on; there will be no Harbowl after Billy Cundiff booted a last minute field goal wide, letting Tom Brady off the hook in a game that he admitted that he “sucked” in; in the NHL New York lead the East from Boston; Detroit lead the West from Vancouver. Many of the teams making the early running – especially Toronto and Minnesota - have melted away Pappy Dan talks about Tim Thomas veering further to the right than he is; Comrade Carlson takes exception; the Bulls are killing it – going to 16 and 3 despite Derrick Rose, Luol Deng,Taj Gibson, and Joakim Noah all nursing injuries; age continues to catch up with Celties and the Lakers – the latter slipping to 10 and 8 and out of the playoff places, despite having this week bumped the Knicks as the NBA’s most valuable team according to Forbes; the Prince Fielder deal is frankly mental; Kobe loses three houses; Carlson knows Seal; your questions in Mailbag; the triumphant return of Yahoo Jeopardy and much, much more...

This years playoffs have been a comedy of errors, with goats of all kinds showing up in every game. We recap this past weekend and the playoffs overall and have a couple laughs about what we've seen so far. We also talk about the Pro Bowl and provide some different, more interesting ideas we'd like to see other than the typical effortless game.
