David Aceron served in the United States Army from 2003 to 2012 as a combat engineer and counter-IED specialist, conducting deadly route clearance missions in Iraq and Afghanistan. His job was simple in theory, but brutal in reality: find the bombs before they found his convoy. As a Husky operator and combat engineer, David spent years hunting hidden IEDs, landmines, command-wire explosives, and roadside bombs designed to kill American soldiers. In this episode, David Aceron shares what it was really like to serve as an Army combat engineer during the Iraq War and Afghanistan War, including the moment he sat directly over an IED while watching the enemy try to detonate it.This conversation goes far beyond war stories.David talks about growing up in Southeast San Diego, joining the Army after 9/11, becoming a 12 Bravo combat engineer, deploying with 10th Mountain, surviving route clearance missions, and the psychological toll of spending every day looking for bombs. He also opens up about the moments most people never hear about: the guilt, the anger, the moral injuries, the loss of innocence, and the terrifying point where hunting IEDs became an obsession.

Iraq War stories like this don't come from Hollywood… they come from guys who actually lived it.This Iraq War veteran story from a U.S. Army fuel convoy driver who was thrown into Iraq at just 20 years old...no armor, driving fuel trucks, getting shot at, and running missions daily through active war zones. We break down what it was REALLY like on the ground — from entering Iraq during the early invasion, to driving the “Highway of Death,” dealing with gunfire, extreme heat (140°+), and zero resources, to the insane reality of surviving day-to-day when everything around you is unpredictable. But here's what most people don't understand…It wasn't just combat. It was:- Sleeping on trucks near Baghdad Airport- Running missions nonstop with no clear end- Buying black market ice just to survive the heat- Improvising systems to stay alive- Making decisions in seconds that could cost everythingAnd through it all... you just keep moving.“Just drive.”That was the job.No pause. No reset. No guarantees you're coming back.
//The Wire//2300Z April 21, 2026// //ROUTINE// //BLUF: PETROLEUM REFINERIES AROUND THE WORLD CONTINUE TO EXPERIENCE CATASTROPHIC FIRES. US FORCES BOARD TANKER VESSEL TIED TO IRAN IN EASTERN INDIAN OCEAN. IEDS DISCOVERED BY HOMEOWNER IN COLORADO.// -----BEGIN TEARLINE----- -International Events-Middle East: This morning CENTCOM announced the boarding of the M/T TIFANI in the eastern Bay of Bengal. US forces onboard the USS JOHN L. CANLEY Expeditionary Sea Base conducted the boarding operation, with the status of the vessel remaining unknown.Analyst Comment: CENTCOM did not explicitly state whether or not the vessel was actually seized, however the vessel was observed changing course to the south after the Visit, Board, Search, and Seizure (VBSS) interdiction operation was conducted.-HomeFront-Colorado: Yesterday the Boulder County Sheriff's Office released details of an explosive device that was discovered in a wooded area near Ponderosa Way, in a residential area of Boulder County. A local resident found a cache of 5x pipe bombs stored in a watertight case in a wooded area of this residential dirt road. The Boulder County Regional Bomb Squad deployed to the scene and a shelter-in-place order was issued while the explosive devices were removed.Analyst Comment: It's not clear how long the cache of IEDs had been in place, as the homeowner who found the waterproof case had just closed on their home in the area, and only moved in on Sunday. The case was found after the individual had begun walking their dog through their new community, so the cache could have been in place for some time.-----END TEARLINE-----Analyst Comments: Around the world, a series of fires has broken out at various petroleum refineries and natural gas processing facilities. Yesterday a major fire broke out at the HPCL Rajasthan Refinery in India, one day before Prime Minister Modi himself was scheduled to attend the ribbon cutting to formally open the 9 billion dollar refinery complex. On the same day, oil transportation vessels were set on fire in Myanmar (Burma), after an explosion caused a fire to spread rapidly to many small oil transportation barges that were anchored in the Chindwin River near the remote town of Homalin. Local reports state that 10x vessels were impacted or destroyed by the fire.In Russia, Ukrainian forces have sharply increased attacks on Russian oil and and gas infrastructure, with roughly 12x separate refineries being hit by approximately 17x long-range Ukrainian drone attacks over the past few weeks. Some sources claim that roughly 40% of Russia's petroleum refinement capacity has been taken offline or negatively impacted since March, due to these attacks. All of these incidents follow the previous refinery fires in Australia and in the United States, with the Viva Energy refinery and the Port Arthur Valero refinery respectively experiencing major fires that shut down operations for some time. Even China has not escaped unscathed, with a major fire being reported at a major chemical factory in the Jinan Industrial Zone two weeks ago.Though it is hard to attribute all of these mysterious infrastructure incidents to one clear origin, major fires affecting extremely large oil and petrochemical refineries at a time when a huge percentage of the global oil supply is offline is extremely poor timing (at best) or extremely suspicious (at worst). Fires at refineries are decently common, and happen in the third world even more often. However with increased focus on the international fuel crisis, these impacts to operations could not come at a worse time. Regardless of malign action or pure accident, the result is the same: Petroleum products becoming even more scarce and prices climbing higher as the end of the ceasefire looms and another potential week of market volatility remains on the horizon.

Growing up in New Hampshire, country boy Brennan Morton couldn't wait to join the military, and when 9/11 occurred, it provided the final push to his enlistment. He ultimately qualified and trained to be a Marine recon sniper – part of an elite fighting force. Brennan loved every minute of the training, watched physically superior candidates wash out, and found that he thrived during the intense winnowing. Brennan recounts the challenges and fellow soldiers he encountered as he strove to join this elite group. But then he was deployed to Iraq with his unit, and the reality of what he'd sought hit home. Sent into a brutal fighting environment that saw his comrades brutally harmed by IEDs without any enemy to directly fight, Brennan describes how his team operated, his own survivor's guilt, the horror of war that took its toll in lives and spirit, and finally his own path to healing as drawn from his book “Valhalla Boys.” Heroes Behind HeadlinesExecutive Producer Ralph PezzulloProduced & Engineered by Mike DawsonMusic provided by ExtremeMusic.com

The war didn't end when he came home. PTSD led to addiction. Then he walked into another battlefield: California prisons.A war zone doesn't always end when you come home. Hector Bravo joins us to trace a straight, painful line from Iraq combat to untreated PTSD, addiction, and then a second frontline most people never see: California prisons. He talks about IEDs, constant incoming fire, and the day his medic is killed, then explains how “just say no” mental health screenings and zero decompression leave him self-medicating with alcohol and drugs until he finally asks the VA for help and finds sobriety through AA.To watch the episode in studio, visit: https://youtu.be/upV2-ImE4kYFrom there, the conversation turns into an unfiltered look at the California prison system and CDCR culture from someone who worked his way up to lieutenant and ran crisis response. Hector breaks down how gang structure shapes daily life, what riots really look like, how less-lethal force gets used, and why contraband is now a modern logistics problem involving visits, dirty staff, drones, and fentanyl. He also describes the reality of mental health yards, self-harm, and the strange policies that confuse taxpayers and fuel public distrust. The core question is corruption and incentives. Hector claims leadership decisions during and after COVID create unsafe mixing and staged conflict that officers on the ground can see coming, while “rehabilitation” messaging stays polished on paper. We talk about what real rehabilitation would require, why rewarding bad behavior backfires, and what he believes is inevitable if nothing changes. If this conversation makes you angry or curious, share it with someone who still thinks prisons are simple. A terrorist attack was narrowly avoided at a protest in New York City on Saturday after two improvised explosive devices (IEDs) were deployed but failed to detonate. The incident has raised serious questions about public safety, protest security, and the NYPD's response posture at mass gatherings. In this episode of New York's Finest: Retired & Unfiltered, John, Eric & Marlon breaks down the facts surrounding the failed attack, including: • What actually happened at the protest • The role of counterterrorism and protest policing • Why mass protests are considered soft targets for terrorism • The ongoing debate about the NYPD Strategic Response Group (SRG) • Whether current protest policing policies leave NYC vulnerable New York City remains one of the top terrorism targets in the world, and this incident highlights the growing tension between public safety, politics, and protest management. Fortunately, the devices failed to detonate but the situation could have ended very differently. This episode examines the security gaps, policy decisions, and leadership choices that may have contributed to the risk. CNN Newsnight host Abby Phillip tells viewers the ISIS-loving teens who threw IEDs at a protest outside Mayor Mamdani's residence were throwing them at the Muslim mayor, and NOT at right-wingers protesting the Islamification of NYC. During dueling protests outside Gracie Mansion — the official residence of New York City Mayor Zohran Mamdani — two Pennsylvania men allegedly threw improvised explosive devices toward an anti-Islam rally led by far-right activist Jake Lang. The devices, homemade bombs containing TATP explosives and shrapnel such as nuts, bolts, and screws, were ignited but failed to fully detonate, causing no injuries despite their lethal potential. The incident escalated from a small far-right demonstration against an alleged "Islamic takeover" into clashes with counterprotesters, leading to multiple arrests, including the two suspects. Federal authorities charged the men with terrorism-related offenses, including providing material support to ISIS, after they reportedly cited inspiration from the Islamic State group, and one expressed intent to surpass the impact of the Boston Marathon bombing. AMERICAN BOMBING OF IRAN CONTINUES AS IRANIAN DRONE STRIKES REGULARLY TARGET OIL INFRASTRUCTURE IN MIDDLE EAST.// -----BEGIN TEARLINE----- -International Events-Middle East: The war continues, with both American strikes on Tehran, and Iranian strikes on Tel Aviv continuing over the weekend. The American 'Shock and Awe' campaign continues day and night, with increasingly more substantial bombings taking place over the weekend. Iranian drone attacks continue as before, with several strikes of note being carried out over the weekend. As of this morning, the Fujairah Oil Industry Zone in the UAE is still on fire from last night's attacks. The BAPCO refinery in Bahrain was also struck again several times over the past few days, along with the desalination plant in Ma'ameer. The fuel point at Kuwait International Airport was also struck over the weekend, as civilian flights throughout Kuwait remain grounded until further notice due to Iranian targeting efforts.Strait of Hormuz: The impacts to shipping remain constant, with one commercial vessel reporting being struck by a drone in the Saudi port of Jubail on Saturday. This morning BAPCO declared a force majeure for their contracts, indicating that they are unable to meet the obligations of their contracts, due to the war impacting operations.Turkey: This morning Turkish authorities stated that another Iranian ballistic missile had been intercepted in their airspace. The missile was reportedly shot down by a US Navy vessel stationed in the eastern Med.Norway: An explosion was reported at the US Embassy in Oslo, as an unidentified assailant placed an IED at the entrance to the facility Saturday night. Norwegian officials have stated that the incident is being investigated as a possible terror attack, and photos of the suspect have been released, as the suspect remains at large. No further details have been provided on the composition of the suspected explosive device, however the investigation is ongoing.-HomeFront-New York: On Saturday, an anti-Islam protest outside of Mayor Mamdani's residence was attacked by counter protesters, which involved terrorists attacking demonstrators with IEDs. Initially, groups of protesters were separated by the NYPD: The group protesting against Mamdani (and against Islam in general) was separated from a group of counterprotesters by pedestrian barriers as is customary for events where protesters have a high likelihood of attacking each other. In this case, two of the counterprotesters arrived with IEDs, lit their fuses, and threw them over to the main protest group, targeting the small group of about a dozen anti-Islam protesters. Both of the IEDs that were thrown failed to detonate, as the impact with the ground extinguished the lit fuses. The suspects were immediately detained at the scene, and a search of the area revealed additional IEDs located in a parked vehicle adjacent to the event. The two suspects have been identified as Emir Balat and Ibrahim Kayumi, both residents of Pennsylvania. More details are expected as the investigation continues.-----END TEARLINE-----Analyst Comments: A bit of back story is needed to explain the context for how important the attack in New York City actually was. The protest that started everything was an "Americans Against Islamification" protest organized by Jake Lang, who has become infamous for going into Islamic strongholds, and holding protests that are intended to inflame tensions. This context may result in many people being tempted to roll their eyes and dismiss this attack due to the history of Lang's protests usually being rather theatrical. For instance, the day before the IED attack on his group he crashed a vigil to the Ayatollah, driving by the event in a Uhaul van with a go

In this hard-hitting episode of The Alan Sanders Show (Ep. 046), we unpack the chilling NYC ISIS-linked terror bombing attempt outside Gracie Mansion: two Pennsylvania men, Emir Balat and Ibrahim Kayumi, charged with hurling improvised explosive devices (TATP-based IEDs laced with shrapnel) at protesters during an anti-Islam rally and counterprotest, explicitly inspired by ISIS, complete with pledges of allegiance and admissions of wanting carnage bigger than the Boston Marathon bombing. No injuries occurred, but the threat was real. We also cover deepening cracks in Iran's regime amid ongoing U.S./Israeli strikes, post-Khamenei fallout and suppressed protests signaling potential collapse. Rebel Republic, the top independent political talk show around is back with fury. The Coach David Schuman, Tyler King, all he does is train, teaches class, beat that ass, then provide sophisticated political analysis after are ready for an intense discussion.Dave shares his articulated, intelligent, well thought out theory on why President Trump invaded Iran. Questioning our main allies, the UK, France, Germany, Italy, among others have distanced themselves. Tyler brilliantly added how many of the governments in those countries and others have gone through significant regime changes over the years, causing them to look away. During Tyler's research, he noticed most of Eastern Europe adjusting to new leadership. Russia and others relied on Iran for many resources, Dave said this strategic attack will cause issues. Tyler, has strongly felt the US was giving Israel special treatment, cow towing to their needs. My input…. Tyler has been RIGHT all along! Could we have possibly worked to keep Israel happy because as Frank Cristiano said, they deliver valuable intelligence about the Middle East? Located in a great area, Frank has stated they are an incredibly important ally.Tyler, a political pundit, published many times over, laughed in silence as we thought he was obsessed with Israel and Trump doing everything they asked. The former captain, leader of his Model UN team, now senior correspondent for Rebel Republic, knew months ago we would join Israeli forces to attack Iran.In 2 weeks, we took out the Ayatollah, 40 plus leaders and a monumental portion of their military. Israel went after the head of the snake, we targeted missile silos and nuclear weapons sites. We bring a dominant political team, Dave and Tyler deliver an astounding breakdown over the last two weeks. Also, we discuss President Trump meeting with administrators, former coaches, and to save college sports. Unfortunately, unhinged crazy people thought it was a good idea to go to NY City Mayor Mr. Mandani's residence with a bag of IEDs. For people to think nothing of killing this man on a Saturday afternoon is disturbing and disgusting. Our troops are fighting overseas, while there was a mass shooting in Austin, Texas last weekend and now people want to drive by, hurling IEDs at the Mayor of NY City. I'm beyond crazy, and this is insanity.

The leftist mainstream media is somehow trying to blame Sid and his anti-Mamdani rhetoric for inciting the violence outside the Mayor's home, despite the culprits' ties to ISIS being confirmed by the investigation. From contested UK cooperation in the Iran conflict to explosive domestic terrorism and unresolved Epstein case mysteries, today's episode dissects the chaos at home and abroad. President Donald Trump navigates allies' delays, military strategy, and geopolitical risk, while law enforcement and media misreport ISIS-inspired attacks in New York City. Plus, shocking DOJ revelations from the Epstein case highlight systemic failure. Episode Summary The United States' Iran operation sparks global and domestic controversies. The UK initially refused U.S. requests to use military bases for attacks on Iran, creating a diplomatic firestorm. Prime Minister Keir Starmer faced heavy criticism from Tony Blair and British media, reportedly prioritizing political survival and immigrant voting blocs over allied cooperation. The HMS Dragon deployment and RAF response highlight logistical delays caused by strict labor rules, raising questions about NATO and allied reliability. On the ground, the U.S. and Israel maintain overwhelming air superiority against Iran. President Donald Trump praises the campaign's effectiveness, with thousands of Iranian military targets already struck and ground invasions deemed unnecessary. Energy markets spike, but experts assert the oil price increase is temporary. Domestically, New York City faced terror threats when self-radicalized ISIS supporters targeted protests near Gracie Mansion, using IEDs packed with the volatile “Mother of Satan” explosive. Misreporting by mainstream media initially mischaracterized the attackers and their motives, obscuring the severity of the incident. Legal and political commentary highlights the disconnect between narrative framing and reality. Meanwhile, new DOJ documents on the Jeffrey Epstein case reveal suspicious behavior and cash activity by prison staff before his death, raising further questions about accountability and transparency in federal institutions. Key Takeaways UK initially resisted U.S. requests to use military bases in Iran; Starmer faces criticism from Blair and the British media. HMS Dragon and RAF responses delayed due to labor regulations; NATO reliability questioned. U.S. and Israeli air forces dominate Iranian skies; ground invasion unnecessary. Oil prices spike temporarily; short-term disruptions tied to fear, not supply shortages. ISIS-inspired IED attacks in NYC misreported by media; attackers targeted ideological opponents. DOJ files on Epstein reveal suspicious cash deposits and questionable guard behavior, sparking renewed scrutiny. UK Political Drama: Tony Blair and media slam Starmer for prioritizing domestic Muslim voters over international strategy. British response to missile threats is delayed and ineffective. ISIS Attack in NYC: Self-radicalized extremists throw IEDs at Gracie Mansion protests. Media initially misreports events, blaming right-wing activists; true terror revealed. Secret FBI “Prohibited Access” Files: Whistleblowers expose off-the-books surveillance on Republicans, Trump allies, and other political figures. Kash Patel now investigating and cleaning house. Latin America & Cartels: Trump coordinates with leaders to dismantle cartel leadership, offering precise military action against the most dangerous actors. In this emotionally charged and historic episode of What's On Your Mind, host Scott Hennen breaks down the monumental U.S. and Israeli military response to 47 years of Iranian aggression. Following the launch of Operation Epic Fury, Scott explores the decisive leadership of President Donald Trump and the sheer precision of the Joint Forces in "finishing a war they didn't start." The show features a powerful mix of military expertise and personal testimony, including a perspective-shifting interview with "Raheel," a Persian woman living in the U.S. who provides a raw look at what the Iranian people have endured under a "death cult" regime. From the "Trump Derangement Syndrome" in Congress to the joy of Iranians celebrating in the streets of Los Angeles and New York, this episode tackles the necessity of peace through strength and the heavy price of freedom. Can we build a blueprint for how the right content can pressure institutions to evolve? In episode 170, I sat down with my buddy Ethan Nagel — veteran infantryman and lethal filmmaker who lives at the intersection of modern warfare and modern media. He breaks down exactly what he and the team at VET TV are building with BattleLab, a new live action show that drops two teams of elite operators into high pressure missions that push new military technology to its limits. This episode is a straight shot of reality: FPV attack drones are the new IEDs, and the next war is going to punish anyone clinging to comfort. Ethan explains how BattleLab fuses real-world lessons from Ukraine with hands-on experimentation — pitting elite, Tier One operators against emerging drone tactics to expose what works, what fails, and what gets people killed. He also gets brutally specific on storytelling and craft because BattleLab isn't “tactical content,” it's a serious training-adjacent series built by people who actually understand the battlefield and how audiences learn. Ethan walks through the production reality: why the first “sports broadcast” approach didn't hold attention, how they rebuilt the format around after-action breakdowns, and how he balances cinematic filmmaking with capturing honest, usable footage that infantry leaders can actually apply. What does war look like when fought under the harshest scrutiny? Veteran soldier and military researcher Andrew Fox talks about his first-hand experience in Gaza with EconTalk's Russ Roberts. He and Roberts explore the challenges of reporting and understanding the war amid the challenges of disinformation, and why Fox believes that the IDF had few tactical alternatives to destroying infrastructure and buildings in the Gaza Strip. Fox also addresses the claims that Israel deliberately targeted Gazan children and wielded starvation as a weapon, and explains why he believes that Israel succeeded in achieving its strategic war goals.

We'll use these sessions to hone our use of terms as tools to reveal truth, neutralize Racists/White people. #ANTIBLACKNESS After 5 fruitless years of investigating, White enforcement officials made an arrest in connection to the pipe bombs placed at the Washington D.C Republican and Democratic facilities on the even of the January 6, 2021 terrorist attacks. Brian J. Cole Jr., a black male and VA resident, was taken into custody on suspicion of the being the culprit for the IEDs. We'll also discuss President Trump's Racist remarks targeting so called Somalians. He blamed these non-white people for "trashing" Minnesota, and said we should prohibit them from entering the so called country. Surprisingly, many White people immediately branded Trump's comments as Racist. We'll also pay our respects to San Francisco legend Claude the albino alligator. The pale reptile died at the age of 30, which is relatively young for his species. Apparently, Claude lived a great life and was shouted out and sincerely mourned by many California elected officials. They may lower the state flag to half staff to honor their late albino mascot. #BlackMentalHealth INVEST in The COWS – http://paypal.me/TheCOWS Cash App: https://cash.app/$TheCOWS CALL IN NUMBER: 720.716.7300 CODE 564943#
The Cold War ended, but crises kept coming. This episode opens in the Balkans, where Yugoslavia's breakup pulls Marines into a different mission. Offshore in the Adriatic, they fly strikes, launch rescues, and put infantry ashore as refugee camps, no-fly zones, and patrols blur the line between war and relief. From there, the story follows deployments to Haiti, Liberia, Sierra Leone, Albania, and East Timor, where Marines secure embassies, evacuate civilians, and support coalitions trying to hold together collapsing states. Then 9/11 hits, and the long war begins. Task Force 58 pushes hundreds of miles inland to seize Rhino and Kandahar, proving sea-based Marines can operate inside a landlocked country. The chapter ends in Helmand, in places like Garmsir, Now Zad, and the Ganjgal Valley, where patrol bases, IEDs, and hard lessons define a war with no clean finish. PREVIEW Counterinsurgency Challenges and Narcoterrorism Threats Post-Intervention in Venezuela. Colonel Jeff McClausen, United States Army retired, examines the serious counterinsurgency challenges the US would face 50 days or 50 weeks after a potential Venezuelan intervention. The threat comes from narcoterrorism gangs operating from sanctuaries in neighboring countries like Colombia, Ecuador, or Brazil, who might use IEDs in the jungle if their livelihood is threatened. Colonel McClausen notes that while US forces fought in Iraq and Afghanistan, the focus has shifted to large-scale conventional warfare, leading to a loss of specialized counterinsurgency experience.
