It’s draft day in the NFL and the Canucks are in Toronto to face the hated Maple Leafs, so to say this is a big show would be an understatement! The Welcome Matt features some quotes from Rob Braley, the son of former BC Lions owner David Braley, where Rob lets us know his families feelings on the CFL/XFL merger and just what that potential partnership will mean for the Leos. Our NFL insider Charean Williams joins and begins by talking about the Aaron Rodgers situation with the Packers and whether or not the reigning NFL MVP is on the trade block. Charean also expands on the reporting that Rodgers is still in the running to be the new host of Jeopardy. Charean also speculates that Russell Wilson will force a trade out of Seattle if the Seahawks don’t win a Super Bowl this year. Thomas Drance follows and comes in guns a blazing! Drance goes to bat for Jimmy Vesey, stating that the Canucks newcomer is one of the better options the team has to produce offence in its bottom six. Drance also gives his insight on what Kole Lind will bring to the Canucks lineup, as the rookie makes his NHL debut versus the Leafs, and whether or not the reports about the Canucks and Travis Green are in negotiations for a contract extension, or if the club is posturing at the moment. The Price is Right pays homage to the career of former Canucks goaltender Ryan Miller. Jeff Paterson joins for his daily chat and questions the “code” in discussing the beating Alex Edler endured from Wayne Simmons in a first period fight that stemmed from an Edler knee on knee that put Zach Hyman out back on April 18th. J Pat also gives his thoughts on the Travis Green contract talk, questioning the teams handling of the situation. Take 5 is a contentious debate about whether Aaron Rodgers would be better suited to be traded to New England or San Francisco. The show wraps with all the Errors and Omissions. Zach is joined by a couple of LOSERS in Austyn and Steve as Zach's Browns are the only team to come out of Week 7 victorious of the guys' teams. The guys recap a wild slate of Week 7 games which included a gut-punching loss for the Seahawks on SNF, and a blowout loss by the offensively inept Patriots (never thought we'd see the day). Word on the street is that people have been doubting the undefeated Pittsburgh Steelers. After a massive W against the once 5-0 Titans, the guys discuss the Steelers' outlook as Super Bowl contenders. Next, they discuss how the almighty Russell Wilson's 3 INT game affects his MVP bid moving forward, if at all. With the Bears looking lost on MNF offensively, there are stats suggesting that Nick Foles has hindered the Bears' offence more than Trubisky. Can it be true?? The guys get to the bottom of it for you. As the NFL deadline approaches, the guys give what they want their teams to do at the deadline. Austyn posits a big trade he wants to see Zach's Browns make. Give us your thoughts on that idea @theamateuragency.The guys preview some of Week 8's biggest games of the week to wrap up the episode. This includes the Cowboys and Eagles who will have future HOFer Ben DiNucci as the starting QB for the Cowboys. The Amateur Agency is saddened by the loss of a CFL steward in David Braley, who passed away this past week. He was a former Argos and Lions owner who's efforts on the CFL were immeasurable. RIP David Braley. Devon + Lang Get a 15% discount off of your purchases by using the code THIRD15 at the checkout!

#UFC254 #G.O.A.T. #Khabib #NFL We had a great conversation breaking down the UFC 254 that featured Khabbib Nurmagomedov getting a huge victory and then subsequently retired. His complete dominance of Justin Gaethje in this lightweight title fight was surprising to most. Khabib's father Abdulmanap died in July from complications related to Covid-19 at 57 years old. He was Khabib's long time coach and trainer among many other top fighters. Once the fight was over he took off his gloves and said that he had promised his mother that he was going to retire now his dad was gone. We had a lot of fun getting into this fight and the rest of a great card. We brokedown week 7 of the NFL which featured a great battle of two unbeaten teams in the Pittsburgh Steelers and the Tennessee Titans, It was a tale of two halfs as the Steelers dominated early and then the Titans flipped the script and almost came all the way back. They would have forced overtime if their kicker Stephen Gostkowski would have nailed the 47 yard field goal at the end of the game. We also broke down the incredible NFC West battle between Seattle and Arizona that was an overtime shootout. It was a nationally televised late Sunday game and had an incredible amount of amazing plays and when the Cards finally hit a field goal late in overtime to hand the Hawks their first loss of the season. There was a lot of things to discuss in the other matchups as well. We ended the episode giving kudos and our condolensces to David Braley the long time owner and interim commissioner in the CFL just passed away at 79 years old. He was a legend and owned the BC. LIons for 24 years and also owned the Hamilton Tiger Cats and Toronto Argos at different times. He will be sorely missed from football in this country. Enjoy Take care, Love yah, Bye for now!
