In Ephesians 6:11,13, Paul commands us to put on the whole Armour of God (which God provides to us through His Word). Then in v14-18 he describes the 7 pieces of the Armour of God. Derek shares about the Belt of Truth and how to put it on (v14), and the Sword of the Spirit, which is the spoken word (rhema) of God (v17), and how they work together. The Belt of Truth consists of God's Word (John 17:17), which we are to put on tight by wrapping our heart around with His commands and promises, bringing our thoughts into alignment (1Pet 1:13). Our Belt consists of the Word of God that we know and have embraced until it is part of us. It is the foundational piece of Armour, which is why it is mentioned first (the sword, shield and breastplate were attached to it). If loose, the whole armour falls apart. The Sword of the Spirit fits in the Belt. In a fight, a soldier pulls his sword from his belt. Likewise, in a spiritual fight, we pull a Scripture-Sword from our Belt of Scriptures as quickened by the Spirit, and put in our mouth and speak it. It will then go forth in the power of the Spirit against the enemy. God's Word is like a sharp sword (Hebrews 4:12). Jesus used His Sword 3 times to defeat Satan, saying: "it is written" (Matthew 4:3-10). For the Sword to work we must first have our Belt on tight (know the Word well). We also see the Sword in action in Revelation 12:11, Isaiah 54:17, and Psalm 149:6-9.

n this episode, Pastor Ryan teaches about the vital importance of the Bible in our lives.John 1:1-31 In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God. 2 He was in the beginning with God. 3 All things were made through Him, and without Him nothing was made that was made. Luke 16:16-1716 “The law and the prophets were until John. Since that time the kingdom of God has been preached, and everyone is pressing into it. 17 And it is easier for heaven and earth to pass away than for one [g]tittle of the law to fail.Hebrews 4:1212 For the word of God is living and powerful, and sharper than any two-edged sword, piercing even to the division of soul and spirit, and of joints and marrow, and is a discerner of the thoughts and intents of the heart. 13 And there is no creature hidden from His sight, but all things are naked and open to the eyes of Him to whom we must give account.Romans 6:1-6 & 12-131 What shall we say then? Shall we continue in sin that grace may abound? 2 Certainly not! How shall we who died to sin live any longer in it? 3 Or do you not know that as many of us as were baptized into Christ Jesus were baptized into His death? 4 Therefore we were buried with Him through baptism into death, that just as Christ was raised from the dead by the glory of the Father, even so we also should walk in newness of life.5 For if we have been united together in the likeness of His death, certainly we also shall be in the likeness of His resurrection, 6 knowing this, that our old man was crucified with Him, that the body of sin might be [a]done away with, that we should no longer be slaves of sin. Romans 6:12-1312 Therefore do not let sin reign in your mortal body, that you should obey it in its lusts. 13 And do not present your members as [d]instruments of unrighteousness to sin, but present yourselves to God as being alive from the dead, and your members as instruments of righteousness to God. Matthew 7:21-2321 “Not everyone who says to Me, ‘Lord, Lord,' shall enter the kingdom of heaven, but he who does the will of My Father in heaven. 22 Many will say to Me in that day, ‘Lord, Lord, have we not prophesied in Your name, cast out demons in Your name, and done many wonders in Your name?' 23 And then I will declare to them, ‘I never knew you; depart from Me, you who practice lawlessness!'Titus 3:5 not by works of righteousness which we have done, but according to His mercy He saved us, through the washing of regeneration and renewing of the Holy Spirit,Luke 6:46-4746 “But why do you call Me ‘Lord, Lord,' and not do the things which I say? 47 Whoever comes to Me, and hears My sayings and does them, I will show you whom he is like: John 15:5-85 “I am the vine, you are the branches. He who abides in Me, and I in him, bears much fruit; for without Me you can do nothing. 6 If anyone does not abide in Me, he is cast out as a branch and is withered; and they gather them and throw them into the fire, and they are burned. 7 If you abide in Me, and My words abide in you, you[b] will ask what you desire, and it shall be done for you. 8 By this My Father is glorified, that you bear much fruit; so you will be My disciples.

We are a church built on God's Word. We are a church built to worship God. We are a church to witness for God.
The church-at-large is to rise up and do what God wants us to do in both our personal lives and our beloved country. "Dry Bones" be gone! We have a loud and clear call from our Lord to wake up and show forth our light. Ezekiel 37:1-10
The Word of God is not only meant to comfort you, but to convict you. If God is pressing a portion of his Word up against your conscience, don't resist.
This week, we are starting a new sermon series where we look at how to accurately read the Bible as well as dig into some of the tough questions people have when they read something in the Bible that they don't like or that doesn't make sense. This will be a 4 week series that we have based off of Dan Kimball's book by the same name.

The purpose of the author, John, is that we might believe. Believing is only one piece of the puzzle. The Bible says that even the devils fear and tremble because they believe. In order to believe in Him, we first must know that He is real. He's not one that someone just decided to write about. John wrote many things so that we may believe. He was our eye witness. God had you on His heart before the beginning. The bible is just what God wanted, all that God wanted, and only what God wanted. The Bible has been preserved through shed blood, through wars, through acts of providence that man knows nothing about. It's been preserved and maintained through centuries. Don't trust your heart! It's influenced by your old sin nature. The more we're into the word, the less the World is into us.

Our King has been laying down a foundational groundwork as we carry on with our Ancient Paths series in this sermon entitled “Ancient Paths: Ancient Laws”. Pastor Matt and Pastor Wade lead us through the law, prophets, and writings as they outline the overwhelming nature of the eternal, perfect, and life-giving Ancient Laws. In order to continue on the Ancient Paths laid before us, we must recognize the Ancient Laws serve as Mile Markers for us! Mile Markers reminding us we are on the right route, giving us confidence. The Ancient Law, the Word of God, is the judge of our thoughts and actions. We must be careful not to base our judgments on our feelings and opinions, but through the Ancient Law given by the one and only lawgiver and judge. As you listen to this sermon, be challenged, inspired, and encouraged by the Ancient Laws designed to keep you on the Ancient Path!

The Kingdoms of this world belong to the devil. Soon God will take over. Who needs the armor of God? All of God's gladiators regardless of their age. We all receive our spiritual armor the moment we get saved. The enemy is after our young children, big time. We have to teach them how to put on and use the armor of God. If we didn't need the armor, God wouldn't have given it to us. What is the armor of God? Although it's pictured as physical, but it's spiritual. It pictures the characteristics of Jesus Christ. If you want to see the righteousness of God, you have to look at Christ. Jesus is our righteousness. We can quench all the fiery darts of the wicked. It all begins and ends with Him. If you don't have the shield of faith on, some of satan's darts are going to hit you, blindside you, and wound you. When you least expect it. If you don't put the armor on, you're already defeated. BIBLE: Basic Instructions Before Leaving Earth. Christianity is not a playground, it's a battleground.

Valentine's day. I love you are the words that Jesus has spoken to us. He desires that we say that to one another. We should say them to Him. No one took the life of Jesus from Him, He chose to be sacrificed so that we can be saved. God will save us by grace by His son's blood. I love you is not the only set of three little words that we are looking at today. The second set is, "In the Beginning". GOd is the prehistoric one. He was around before the world existed. He did not come into being when the world did. He is the only one to have existed before recorded history. Third set of three little words, "Let there be." God's actions will never be in contrary of the word of God. If it doesn't line up with His word, then it's not His will. Be careful, and prayerful. Fourth set of three words, "It is written."

Jeff Maness – January 3, 2021 Too often, we can equate our devotion to God by a decision that we made to believe in or follow Him. But devotion is more than a decision, it is a discipline in the face of difficulty. The very first Christians reveal to us the devotion we need to...

The Bible is not simply words about God; it is the Word of God. What are you trusting in?
God's Word is useful to us in many ways. Paul sums up perhaps the most important ways in his second letter to Timothy when he says that all Scripture is useful for teaching, reproof, correction and training in righteousness and then he goes on further to say, "so the man of God may be complete, equipped for every good work." For those who are serious about being equipped we must realize we can't do that apart from God's Word!
The human heart; that place where our emotions reside, where our thoughts originate and where are attitudes and passions are found. What if you were told that the human heart, left to itself, is in a bad state? What if you were told that the human heart, left to itself, cannot be trusted. That is what we are told in the Bible. In this message we will look at the state of the heart and find that God has given us His Word to remedy the fallen state of our hearts. We must realize that we cannot trust our hearts until they have been changed by God's truth. Listen in to be challenged and encouraged.
In a time where we are bombarded with "Limited Lifetime warranties" and extended warranties, wouldn't it be nice to have a good old-fashioned GUARANTEE? It is easy for us to claim that such guarantees no longer exist. But what if I told you that there still is such a guarantee out there. The Word of God comes with a genuine guarantee. In this message we look at this guarantee and look at what it is about the Word of God that makes such a guarantee possible. Listen in to be challenged and encouraged.
New beginnings are fun and exciting, but they can be challenging and difficult at times. In The Story this week, Brett leads us through the early church; it's struggles, wins and foundations, and how we can apply it to the way we do church now.
After the split of the kingdom of Israel, things got rough for the Northern Kingdom. As we continue with The Story, P4P guy Sean Cronin picks up in chapter 16 as things go from bad to worse with the Northern Kingdom while God saves the Kingdom of Judah.
The heart should constantly RECEIVE and RELEASE (pump) the spirit-life of God from our spirit to every part of our life (John 7:38). We must keep our heart free from blockages to this flow of life (Prov 4:23). In this message, Derek explains how to remove the 2nd BLOCKAGE - UNFORGIVENESS.
The HEART is the deepest part of the soul, at the junction of soul and spirit (Hebr 4:12). It RECEIVES the life of the spirit and RELEASES it into our soul and body (Prov 4:23). So we must keep our heart free from things that block this flow of life. (1) We explain how to remove the blockage of UNBELIEF.
God's life in our spirit must flow through our heart (Jn7:38). So our heart condition determines the flow of His life in us (Prov 4:23). 3 Blockages must be removed: (1) unbelief, (2) unforgiveness, and (3) CARNALITY (Heb 12:15-17) - being flesh-ruled, valuing & minding earthly things above spiritual things.
