This is a story about the restoration of faith and the vision of a dream. Will Berry is a childhood friend of mine who has been in the construction business for more than two decades and wanted to restore the old buildings in our hometown of Sapulpa, OK. Two years ago, he had a passion for creating value for people passing through on historic Route 66. He wanted to give people a reason to come and appreciate the character and history of our hometown so he envisioned the Christmas chute, where people can experience the magic of Christmas by walking the streets decorated with different holiday themes. It's an interactive experience where families can immerse themselves in the tradition of the holidays. Will's story is about losing his mother at an early age, finding a renewed faith in Christ, and following a dream with the help of incredible volunteers and leaders in the community who were passionate about making his dream a reality. This would not have happened without the incredible teamwork and execution of countless volunteers who believed in Will's vision. Will was interviewed by the Today Show back in 2022, where they showcased the Christmas Chute in their contest for the 6 Merriest Cities in America. They were also featured in Southern Living Magazine. follow on facebook: https://www.facebook.com/route66christmaschute?mibextid=AEUHqQ visit and donate to the Christmas Chute: https://www.sapulpaok.gov/vnews/display.v/ART/63481fedd9c07 read about: https://www.southernliving.com/christmas-chute-sapulpa-oklahoma-6889125

As September ends, it is time to start thinking about the holidays as they are fast approaching! This week's episode features the Ellwood City Hometown Holiday Toy Drive and we're honored to have Rhiannon Schnell, Board of Director member of the Ellwood City Chamber of Commerce & representative of the Ellwood City Borough. We start the episode off learning about what this wonderful Hometown Holiday Toy Drive is and why it is so important for the community. The toy drive is a collective effort between the Ellwood City Chamber of Commerce, the Ellwood City Borough and the Ellwood City Area School District. The school identifies families that may need extra help at Christmas time. The Chamber of Commerce handles the advertising and acts as the main sponsor of the event and the Borough handles toy collection and helps with distribution. What makes this toy drive so special is that it is specific to only the families that live in Ellwood City. Everything collected stays in the Ellwood City community! If you're wanting to donate but are wondering what is being accepted: New, unwrapped toys for really any age are appropriate. The toy drive helps families with children from kindergarten all the way to 12th grade. Also, if there are any smaller children in the family, we will do our best to help them out as well so really no toy is too young. We do accept monetary donations that would be used to purchase gift cards for some of the older kids if we do not have items suitable for someone in high school. We do encourage people to donate items that would be able to be used for older kids such as make up kits for older girls or hoodies for the boys. Checks can be made payable to the Ellwood City Chamber of Commerce and mailed to the Ellwood City Borough in care of Rhiannon Schnell at 525 Lawrence Avenue, Ellwood City PA 16117. Current Drop Off Locations for toys:-Busy Beaver Ellwood City -Wesbanco in Franklin Twp. And Ellwood City -Posies by Patti -The Color Cener -Air Physical Therapy-Wendydae Handmade -The Ellwood City Soccer Boosters have also agreed to campaign and collect toys so watch for them in the community Any business interested in becoming a drop off point can do so by emailing rschnell@ellwoodcityborough.comSpecial thanks to Rhiannon and the Ellwood City Hometown Holiday Toy committee for everything they're doing to make Christmas special for families this year!

Downtown Haverhill springs to life tonight with holiday spirit as the Haverhill Hometown Holiday Celebration kicks of the season. The event, formerly known as the Christmas Stroll, runs between 5:30 and 7:30 p.m. One of its volunteers, Melissa Seavey of Bethany Communities, gave an overview for WHAV listeners during an appearance on WHAV's morning show.“It's a little different from past strolls. This year, we are calling it the ‘Haverhill Hometown Holiday Celebration.' This is being hosted by the city, and then there are some volunteers like Destination Downtown Haverhill and L'Arche and the Chamber of Commerce that are all helping out with it. So, we're really excited to bring a little something back to downtown Haverhill after a couple of years of COVID and things being quieter,” she said.Haverhill's tree lighting, complete with a visit by Santa, in Washington Square, begins around 6:30 p.m. There will also be live musical performances at G's Restaurant, 35 Washington St., and an Ugly Sweater Party at Peddler's Daughter, 45 Wingate St. Voting takes place for a number of awards including best Interior Décor, Best Outside Decore, best Hometown Holiday Event and the Charlie Brown Tree Award. Mary and Sarah are joined by Fran to discuss this week's half of an upcoming double feature, SISTER SWAP: A HOMETOWN HOLIDAY. Jennifer and Meg Swift are sisters who couldn't be closer despite living hours apart. Jennifer is in Salt Lake City, running a successful restaurant she started with her late husband and raising her teenaged son Simon. Meg stayed in their hometown of Hazelwood, helping their parents run the local bakery. This Christmas is the family's first since the passing of Uncle Dave who owned the town's beloved theater, The Madison, where many memories were made over the years. When Jennifer and Simon return home for the holiday, they become wistful for one more Christmas at The Madison, despite that it's for sale and in need of repairs. Meanwhile, Meg is helping Jennifer's restaurant staff in Salt Lake prepare for a Christmas competition among local restaurants with the winner earning money for the charity of its choice. With the sisters switching cities leading up to the holiday, they find a new sense of purpose and discover what they both truly need in life and in love. Starring Kimberly Williams-Paisley, Ashley Williams, Mark Deklin, Keith Robinson, Susan Yeagley and Kevin Nealon.

Les, Kurt, and Jason went into this week's movie, Hallmark's Sister Swap: A Hometown Holiday, thinking that it would involve body switching or twins (or both), but those expectations weren't met. But before the movie sucks them in, first they have to discuss Blac Chyna being accused of kidnapping someone (and equally accused of being high on cocaine and crazy). Then the guys are ready to dissect a movie that features both Williams sisters (Kimberly Willams-Paisley and Ashley Williams, not Venus and Serena) in what appears to be a 2 part movie that is told from one sister's point of view with this movie, and from the other sister's point of view in the next movie (which will be discussed on the next podcast). Any movie that can veer conversations about the sex appeal of Charles Fleischer (aka the voice Roger Rabbit… and Laverne's next roommate after Shirley moved out), the comparability of Bob Dole and The Big Ragu, and Beaver Cleaver's trashy girlfriend can't be all that bad. Plus, if nothing else, listen to this episode to hear the pilot of Kurt's new podcast all about Ann Jillian. News and Notes About Sister Swap: A Hometown Holiday Filmed in Utah, with some scenes shot in Vancouver. This movie was filmed under the working title “Christmas at the Madison.” Movies were filmed back-to-back in April 12-May 22 and from June 5-July 5. This was the first time the sisters have worked together. Kimberly Williams-Paisley said the movie was sister Ashley's idea and they pitched it to Hallmark about five years ago. Email us at meganandwendy@gmail.com Megan and Wendy review the Sister Swap movies which first premiered on Sunday, December 5, 2021 and stars Kimberly Williams-Paisley and Ashely Williams. Grab Your Hot Dudes of Hallmark T-Shirt Shop now Megan has BIG regrets that Mark Deklin didn't make the original "Dudes of Hallmark" t-shirt. News and Notes About Sister Swap: A Hometown Holiday Filmed in Utah, with some scenes shot in Vancouver. This movie was filmed under the working title “Christmas at the Madison.”Movies were filmed back-to-back in April 12-May 22 and from June 5-July 5.This was the first time the sisters have worked together.Kimberly Williams-Paisley said the movie was sister Ashley's idea and they pitched it to Hallmark about five years ago.Anna Holbrook (Another World), who played their mom in this movie, was the real-life best friend of the sisters' mom who sadly passed a few years ago. They knew they wanted to cast Anna as their movie mom because of their close connection. View this post on Instagram A post shared by Ashley Williams (@ashleywilliamsandcompany) The First Movie for the Williams' Sisters The natural chemistry between Kimberly Williams-Paisley and Ashley Williams was very obvious in Sister Swap: A Hometown Holiday. We'd love to see them work together again in future Hallmark movies. Maybe even a seasonal Sister Swap series? We'd love that! Get out your bottle of chard, listeners! It's time for another installment of the TSHE Book Club! This week, we discuss The Midnight Library by Matt Haig. Discussion points include: Could Ann possibly live in Carrot Stick studios? Is magical realism cool or a cop-out? Could you improv your way in a different version of your life? How does consent work in this world? Does anyone have life figured out? So many questions that break our brains! In small talk, Meredith is (kinda, sorta) giving up on a habit while Ann is picking it up (BEZOS!). We also take a brief trip down memory lane to discuss some truly terrible MTV videos that haunted our youths. And praise-be, Ann is reviving her Ho-based rating system for the Netflix Classic (?) Hometown Holiday. Should us city-dwellers be offended by this movie? Probably! TSHE Recommends:Tick Tick BoomConnect with the show! This is your show, too. Well hello there, babes. Welcome back to Your Place or Mine, hosted by Bae Savage. In this episode, we chat with the Actor, Model, and all around heart throb, Bradley Hamilton (@mr.bradleyhamilton). He's been featured on Murdock Mysteries, V Wars, Shadowhunters, The Expanse, Hometown Holiday, and recently, Sex/Life. We unpack what it's like to date as an actor, and if he has rules around dating other actors and fans. We talk about the future of relationships, and how exciting it is to see more people embracing alternative lifestyles. Hear about the ridiculous date he had with a drunk woman and her friends and why enjoying pineapple on pizza is only a dealbreaker if you don't repent. In case you missed it, (which is impossible because I mention it a million times), be sure to check out Bradley's spectacular (naired) ass on Sex/Life episode 4. Want more? On this episode of FYS with Jen, Samantha Gracie, actress/singer/songwriter and I had an authentic conversation and lots of fun! I've had the privilege of watching Samantha grow, evolve and flourish over the past 15+ years. Samantha shares some of her story and the inspiration for her new single "Lilacs" that is a tribute to her grandmother but is something to which we can all relate. Lilacs has been making waves and garnering a lot of attention - we all can relate to loss and having to adapt to a new way of living in the aftermath. Samantha also talked about her acting career and what she has learned; how she stays focused and deals with those nasty voices in her heads. Her new comedy, The Influencers, is now available on Amazon Prime in Canada, US and the UK. Learn more about Samantha and her social links below. Samantha grew up on stage with her Dad, multiple award winning singer/songwriter John Gracie, signed with Ford Modelling at 14, caught the bug for acting in high school. In 2012, cast for a lead in Jason Eisnor's VHS2, it premiered at Sundance and Samantha was there, this opportunity opened many doors, new manager, new agent and new opportunities. Samantha moved then to Toronto, landed a lead role in BET's Single Ladies filmed in LA and Toronto and got to do a scene with Queen Latifah, many other TV appearances, The Good Witch, Frankie Drake Mysteries, Private Eyes, Mr Dee and more. Currently on Netflix, she stars in the Holiday Romance, Hometown Holiday and she also stars in the comedy series, The Influencers on Amazon Prime US and UK and in Canada on Revry TV. Samantha performs live and has had success with her first single Hometown Love in 2017 and now her new song Lilacs, she is currently working on her first album. Her music and videos can be found on all the digital platforms. Release on Lilacs Toronto/Halifax- Toronto based, Dartmouth native, singer/songwriter/actor Samantha Gracie just released her new single, Lilacs. Lilacs came to Samantha last summer while isolating at her late grandmother's home in Cape Breton, Nova Scotia. The home had been vacant since her grandmother's passing in 2019 and going back to the home filled with childhood memories was both difficult and comforting at the same time. The inspiration for the song came from her Grandmother's love for the lilac tree that grew in her front yard. Gracie commented, “Grief flows through us in many forms, different everyday… one day, for me, it came out as a song. May 27th would have been my grandmother's 85th birthday, this song is dedicated to her. At first, this song had a specific inspiration, however it grew into a love song about missing someone in any capacity. I hope it comforts you and reminds you that we all experience loss, longing, and sadness when navigating grief.” The video for Lilacs was produced and directed by JIVE Photographic Productions, Halifax (@jivephotographic). Lilacs- Youtube link- https://youtu.be/5MiQJjkhHWg Lilacs is available on all digital platforms for purchase and streaming and will be released to commercial radio. Samantha Gracie's music is distributed by UnitedMasters. Acting accomplishments on revry.tv (The Influencers) & Netflix (Hometown Holiday). In this episode, the guys catch up with old friend Brad “Hammy” Hamilton. Brad played Jr. B with Chad and Casey way back when, and was well known around the league for being a fearless enforcer. During his playing career, Brad was the furthest thing from a pretty boy you could get. When you cave in other people’s faces for a living on the ice, you’re bound to eat a punch or two yourself. After hockey though, this handsome devil got into modelling in Ottawa, and then transitioned to acting full-time and hasn’t looked back. Right now, Brad has a Christmas movie of his trending on Netflix called “Hometown Holiday”, which he stars in alongside the very talented Sarah Troyer.
