It's 2021 and time for a new adventure. Season three of Into the Grid starts NOW. Mike and Shawn are back at it to cover Power Rangers: SPD. This time, they won't be doing it on their own! Friend of the show, Tyler, is powering up to help cover the entirety of SPD. Together the three of them break down the show, episode by episode, recapping all the events as they go INTO THE GRID. Follow along watching and listen to Mike, Shawn and Tyler's thoughts on each episode. If you are reading this, I know it took a long time to edit this. For me, it was about two weeks. I apologize for that. I (Mike here) had some internet issues and my audio is a bit glitchy bad in some parts, but still audible. Thanks for your patience. ANYWAYS, this is a guest episode and we have the wacky fun duo of James & Nicole from Most Speakin' Sentai on the episode. James was mostly speaking and we try to recognize Nicole through it all. Probably the worst episode to introduce to 2 people who haven't seen Power Rangers SPD. Yikes. It was a lot of good fun and I highly suggest you guys to check out Most Speakin' Sentai. :) Follow their podcast on Twitter: https://twitter.com/MSSPod Follow James on Twitter: https://twitter.com/marshlandmullum Follow Nicole on Twitter: https://twitter.com/DarlingHomebody Thanks for listening! Hey Fit Travel Tribe!Recently, I recognized a trait of mine that leads directly to stress and overwhelm, and that’s what we discuss in this episode. Some say that failure is the best teacher, while others say that other people‘s failures are the best teacher. In either case, we can learn from observing behavior and the results of that behavior. Listen for my story about "Jake".Jake went backwards on his commitment. Jake’s pitfalls caused me to recognize times where I’ve made the same mistake. His change in language reflected his change in attitude and behavior (the only two things we can control). You may think that Jake still has the opportunity to go on his vacation, but you would be ignoring the compounding effect of his decisions over time. This situation and many others like it are the cause of Jake’s constant cycle of quiet desperation. I’m going to ask a simple question: Can you relate?I (Mike) did. Why are we talking about this? Two reasons: Failing commitments:Increases stress (too many things at once)Effects everyone around youDamages self-esteemTruth dagger: Because most people around you are too insecure to recognize and help you. Most people react out of their own insecurity. “You told me you were going to do this!” “You said!” “You promised!” A secure person comes along side you. “Hey Jake, remember last week when you said you were going on that vacation? It seems like buying that kayak, although your reasons seem noble, wasn’t aligned with your goals. I’m worried about you man. Is everything okay? Did something change?” You can imagine the compounding and completely avoidable pain. SolutionStep 1 - Make a list of all commitments and obligations in one area of your life. In this case, we’ll use finances (We encourage you to do this exercise again for time, extracurricular activities, and even family or relationships. You’ll find that many of your responsibilities overlap “hint hint”.)Step 2 - Add a TIMESTAMP of when you made that commitment. Haha - don’t quit on us here. You can likely see where this is going. Go ahead and reorder (I.e. reprioritize) your list from oldest to newest. Step 3 - Whittle down your list of commitments. Those commitments made first should stand, but if this is the first time completing an exercise like this you may not be able to revert on some recent obligations. This is your opportunity to restart with a fresh mentality. This is your ONE opportunity to hit the reset button. When I consider our life together, there are certain things that are non-negotiable. There’s no emotion involved. Do we contribute to our 401(k)? It’s not even a decision, it automatically comes out of our paycheck. We work out nearly every day. We eat clean, it’s not up for debate. So to complete Step 3, refine your list, commit in your mind that these (and only these) are your obligations until completed, and step forward with behavior consistent with these obligations. At some point what you know to be true must be converted to action, or it means nothing.Adventure On,M&MSupport the show (https://www.paypal.me/twofittravelers)

Stepparents, you want to be a part of the team — in your marriage and in your family. But it can often feel like you're stuck on the outside of the "allegiance" that's formed between your spouse and his or her kids. That's when the frustration, hurt or anger sets in and you end up in the danger zone of allowing "easy wrong turns" to dictate your attitude. It's these easy wrong turns that actually rob you of the teamwork and unity you're actually looking for.And there are some simple things you can do to positively influence that parent-child allegiance happening between your spouse and their kids. And each one starts with making sure your mindset is in the right place.I (Mike) know how hard this can be, and over time, I discovered that my mindset and attitude was keeping me stuck. And when I tweaked my perspectives just a little bit, I started showing up better and Kim actually started to respond to me differently. If you can relate to any of this, I can't wait for you to join us for the next couple of episodes! Why? Because we're going to share the most critical shifts I had to make in my mindset over the years — and we've seen these same mindset shifts help the stepparents we've coached to experience the teamwork they've been looking for all along.Don't wait — let's dive into the episode…You'll Discover:How unrealistic expectations can force your partner into feeling like they have to choose between you and their kidsThe difference between labeling behavior and labeling character — and why getting it wrong leaves you feeling hopelessHow easy it is for stepparents to jump into an authoritarian parenting-style and why it doesn’t workResources from this Episode:Episode 26: Are You Stuck in a "Competition" with Your Step Kids?Episode 21: What is the Stranded Stranger & Trapped Teammate Experience?Blog: What's the Best Way to Blend and Build Family BondsEpisode 40: Uncover the Unspoken Feelings of Kids in Blended FamiliesEpisode 37: Why do Kids Struggle to Accept their Stepparent?Episode 4: Can You Overcome Your Parenting Style Differences?Blog: How to Parent as a Team and Steer Clear of Power StrugglesSubscribe & Review in Apple PodcastsAre you subscribed to our podcast yet? The Los Angeles Lakers are BACK in the NBA Finals after a 10-year absence and a seven-year nadir filled with buffoonery and false hope. This week, we dial up old friends Harrison Faigen (@hmfaigen) and Anthony Irwin (@AnthonyIrwinLA) of Silver Screen and Roll to talk through Los Angeles' burgeoning love affair with LeBron James and this team, the key factors to the Lakers' tight chemistry, and an NBA Finals matchup with the Heat that I (Mike) can't get a read on, but Harrison and Anthony can.
I (Mike) ramble on about nibiru for a bit and and then I mumble bumble my way through the rest of this piece of shit. --- Send in a voice message: https://anchor.fm/mike351/message
This week on the RV Podcast, we give you inside tips on how to sell your RV. Don't get low balled from a dealer that offers to buy it or take it in as a trade-in. Sell it yourself! We did and the process couldn't have gone more smoothly. And in the process, we learned a lot that literally saved us tens of thousands of dollars when it came time to sell our RV so we could buy a new one. This week in Episode 301 of the RV Podcast, we share our personal experience in selling our RV (we did so just last week), introduce you to the couple who bought it, hear from a dealer and learn from an expert at RV Trader how to sell your RV and get the most for your used RVs. Here's a player to the audio version of this RV Podcast episode on how to sell your RV. You can also listen to the RV Podcast on your favorite podcast app. A full article with links, transcripts, photos, and other resources follows: BEFORE WE TALK ABOUT HOW TO SELL YOUR RV...TWO PROGRAMMING NOTES First a couple of RV Podcast programming notes. I (MIKE) am doing this episode solo this week as Jennifer, my lifelong traveling and the bride of my youth, is feeling a bit under the weather this week and thus, won’t be able to handle her normal co-hosting duties. We’re hoping she’s back next week feeling much better. Secondly, from popular demand, we’re rearranging the order of the various segments of the RV Podcast. We’ll move our Interview of the Week segment up towards the top of each episode, to more quickly get to the key theme of each podcast. The other regular sections will follow the interview. RV PODCAST INTERVIEW OF THE WEEK - How to sell your RV And this week, that theme is how to sell your RV... yourself, instead if trading it in or selling it outright to an RV dealer. As regular listeners know, Jennifer and I bought a brand-new RV last week - a 2021 Wonder Rear Twin Model from Leisure Travel Vans. In the weeks ahead, we’ll be talking a lot about why we changed RVs, why we chose the Ford Transit vs the Mercedes Sprinter chassis and showing videos and photos and doing a full review and walkthrough on the RVLifestyle.com travel blog. We have so much content about that new Wonder to show you that it will take lots of articles and videos. But this week on the RV Podcast and in this article on the RVLifestyle.com travel blog, we talk about how to sell your RV yourself, which we just did with the 2019 Leisure Travel Vans Unity FXa that we have owned for the past year and a half. We change RVs a lot. I want to know as much as possible how the different models handle. Their strengths and weaknesses, so I can speak from experience in our videos and blog articles. There were lots of reasons why we chose the Wonder on the Ford Transit chassis and I have a whole article coming out on that in a could of days. Beware of being low-balled! But obviously, to buy a new one, we had to sell our old one. We thought of simply trading it in at a dealer or selling it to them outright. Many advertise that they are desperate for used RVs and are paying "premium rates" or "top dollar for your trade." When I checked with a couple of dealers who advertise that, it didn’t take long to realize that top dollar to a dealer was not reflective of what our RV is really worth. The dealers quite simply low balled us. They offered wholesale prices. In our case, almost $30,000 LESS than what we actually sold it for ourselves. Dealers make big money on trade-ins. By low, sell high. You can’t blame them. But you also can blame us in saying no way. Tip #1 on how to sell your RV - Do your research There is no Kelly Blue Book prices for RVs. But there is something called the NADA RV Guide which stands for the National Automotive Dealers Association. But the NADA Guides – which cover automobiles, motorcycles, boats, classic cars, manufactured homes and RVs – is actually owned by JD Power. They just bought the use of the NADA logo and name for marketing purpos...
This week we are joined by Mike (@BioMosley), Patrick (@Blodhthringa), and Special guest Zach the Great! This week we take a deep dive into the Xbox side of things, and what is to come with the new Xbox Series X. With the recent news of the massive backward compatibility library, the hints at added HDR and double frame rate on older generation games. Microsoft seems to be holding nothing back to bring back some Xbox Orignal games/ along with updating some of the 360 ones. On another note, Smart Delivery is going to be a thing for Series X. Allowing consumers to buy a game one time and use it for either their Xbox One/ One X/ or Series X. I (Mike) personally fell like cloud gaming/ Streming is afoot here. How about that New Pokemon Trailer for the DLC of Sword and Sheild! New wildlands, more Pokemon added, New gigantamax forms, and how about the Legendaries! EA has its very first Cos-play game now! Need For Speed Heat. We talk about the upcoming games in June, ones that are out during the time of recording, some on the day of recording, and the others to come. Someone is pretty excited about a sponge being rehydrated! Finally, we talk on the PlayStation Press conference, that was delayed to allow other voices to be heard during these difficult times we live in. Talking about our predictions. Authority — it's a tough subject in blended families. Who has it…who doesn't? Who should have it…and who shouldn’t? There's so much conflicting advice out there about this it can make your head spin! And one big "message" that seems to have made its way into the mainstream is that authority should NOT belong to a stepparent. But, is it that simple? I (Mike) used to talk a lot about Authority Vs. Influence, but as I've come through 19 years now of raising and relating to my step-daughter — and as I connect with more and more couples I'm discovering that we need a different "message". I think the question isn't, "…should I have authority with my step-kids?"The real question is, "…how can I build HEALTHY authority with my step-kids?" And a different question requires a different answer. So that's what we're exploring in this episode. You'll listen in on an honest conversation between Kim and I as we re-think this whole subject. You'll Discover:The three key elements of building trust (a major key in developing healthy authority)Some fun ideas for creating relationshipWhat to do when you "mess up"And the two most important things Bio-Parents need to do to help their partner build the healthy authority you're BOTH hoping forResources from this Episode:Episode 4 — Can You Overcome Your Parenting-Style Differences?Episode 28 — What if What You Think is Defiance is Actually Something Else?Subscribe & Review in Apple PodcastsAre you subscribed to our podcast yet? Most step-parents want to enjoy time with their step-kids. They want to relax, laugh and just have fun! But often they describe their time together as stressful, tension-filled or even dreadful — especially when we're on our own with them.I (Mike) get it…I remember those feelings of fear and dread when I knew Kim was going to be gone and everything with her daughter (Annika) depended on me. And part of the problem was I felt like I couldn't talk about it. I thought, "…if I admit I'm dreading this time with my step-daughter, it means I'm a bad person." So, I would head into those times already filled with tension and a pretty bad attitude. And guess what…that didn’t help! It was like a self-fulfilling prophecy and I just set myself up for failure. But finally, I braved up enough to talk about it with Kim and we started getting more intentional about how I could have hope and confidence when I was going to be alone with Annika. …and we're sharing all about it in this episode. At the time we're airing this, it's just about time for Spring Break. That might mean you'll be getting some extended alone time with your step-kids. With just a little bit of intentional effort, you can head into it with anticipation and confidence…and exponentially improve your time with your step-kids!So, grab your headphones and a notepad and listen in to experience the best Spring Break (or weekend…or summer vacation…or afternoon…etc., etc.)Full episode show notes and resource links available here: https://support.mikeandkimcoaching.com/025
I (Mike) often felt stuck on the outside as a step-parent. Kim and Annika had their little inside routines and jokes that I couldn't seem to connect with. What I really wanted was to instantly feel included…but blended family life just doesn't work that way. When I was feeling like a Stranded Stranger, what I was really wanting was for our family to "blend"…but one stepfamily expert says that "compartmentalizing" is a better approach. In this episode, we're laying out one of the most effective strategies for "rescuing" yourself from being that Stranded Stranger so that you can feel more connected with your step-kids (and your spouse!).Full episode show notes available here: https://support.mikeandkimcoaching.com/023
This week is something a little bit different – as I (Mike) am going to Mexico for 10 days, I wanted to take a break from podcasting so I wouldn’t have to work while away and to ensure I don’t rush any upcoming episodes. In this episode, I just basically just ramble on for 40 minutes, talking about my trip to Mexico, some of the ins & outs of my podcasting schedule and why I’ve decided to take a break, the episodes to expect once I return, a review of the new Lion King, me guesting on a future episode of The Brave Files, some of the previous episodes I recommend checking out if you’re new to the show, what can be expected from following Genuine Chit-Chat on the usual social media channels and other stuff! To be clear to any first-time listeners, this is more of a bonus episode to explain to anyone not following on social media that I’ll be away for 2 weeks, why that is and what you can expect going forward, so I’ll speak with you all on Sunday 25th! In this solo ramble I mentioned a few podcasts to check out including #52 with Bill M of The Church Of Satan, episodes #48 & #65 with Gough, the blind filmmaker from Australia, #54 with Heather of The Brave Files, #63 with Comics In Motion and #24 with my brother Rob, Remembering Our Late Father – all of these can be found in the usual places and while I’m on the break, it’s worth checking out the rest of the back catalogue too! Last week I spoke with Amanda Steel – an author of novels, poems & short stories, as well as creating a quarterly written media publication called Printed Words and being one half of the Reading In Bed Podcast! In our chat we discussed Amanda’s newest book, First Charge as well as Amanda’s other works, when & why she started writing, why she used the pseudonym “Aleesha Black” for her Lost & Found books, one of the worst dates Amanda has been on and using it as inspiration for “Love, Dates & Other Nightmares”, before talking about what Amanda’s publication “Printed Words” entails, how she gets her writing done. The conversation then moves onto Amanda’s podcast and podcasting in general, before a brief discussion on Amanda’s religious/spiritual views, then talking about different languages, learning to become a better writer and much more! NeighborlyCast E3 - Kids Behind Locked Doors Have you ever wondered what your parents did behind locked doors? Well your parents are probably listening to the podcast without you. Oh and we have a new heterosexual named Andrew "Dopie". This episode was actually recorded last year and there's a lot of reasons as to why we haven't gotten around to edit it. First off, I (Mike) got burnt out doing all the editing for the previous episodes, so we sent out drafts to a lot of people who were willing to edit it but things never really clicked. Later we came up with a better system. Dopie will start the initial edit and do the main part, then later send it to either Mike or Ryan (Skrydly) for a final cut/other edits. It was that time of year again. I (Mike) headed back up to the Okanagan Fest-Of-Ale to partake in one of my favourite yearly beer festivals in the province. Once again I was a judge for the festival and once again I was able to record some audio with some of the newer breweries in … Continue reading Episode 93 – Okanagan Fest-Of-Ale 2019
In this first episode of the Solemn Strength Podcast, I (Mike) talk about how I got into fitness, what lead me to Seacoast Strength, and what I hope to do with the show in the future.

Check out our full review over on Three if by Space! Mike's Interpretations of Music Use in the Episode: Mike Scheinberg is a long-time Daley Review listener and when he offered to give us some incite on this episode's music, we took him up on it. Avinu Malkeinu - (14:00ish): Right after the turbulence on the plane scares everyone and Matt gives that smug look and shit-eating grin. Fades into a shot of the plane and a closeup on what I can surmise is Daniel 6:22 -- "My God hath sent His angel, and hath shut the lions' mouths, and they have not hurt me; forasmuch as before Him innocency was found in me; and also before thee, O king, have I done no hurt.'" Then Matt's nose bleeds right on that passage. Avinu Malkeinu is a Jewish prayer said most commonly on Rosh Hashanah (Jewish New Year) and Yom Kippur (Day of Atonement), both very solemn days. It literally means "Our Father, Our King," and the rest of the passage is "Be gracious and answer us, for we have little merit. Treat us generously and with kindness, and be our help." This is practically one of the last things said on Yom Kippur when the proverbial "gates" are closing for God to inscribe Their people into the Book of Life. Sort of like the pleading to God one might do several days out from a cataclysmic event on October 14. It relates a bit to the passage from Daniel in that it's a plea for life. Fun Fact: Phish does a really rockin' version of Avinu Malkeinu in concert. B'Motz'ei Menucha - (22:00ish): Matt is washing all the blood off of him. This song is recited at midnight on the Saturday night / Sunday morning before Rosh Hashanah, and so incredibly few Jews even know about it -- to the point where I (Mike) need to do more research from a different prayerbook. Ashrei Yoshvei Beitecha - (35:00ish): Matt takes off his space blanket and looks for the manifest - right before he utters Frasier's name. "Ashrei Yoshvei Beitecha." This is Psalms 84:5 -- "Happy is the man whose strength is in Thee; In whose heart are the highways." It's the introduction to a prayer said twice a day. It's more along the lines of a warm-up prayer; opening one's heart to gather strength and faith. As for the use of it in this scene? Not sure. Maybe it's a ramp up to the actual ritual of Frasier? Avinu Malkeinu - (44:00ish): Matt decides to get the wheelchair and the axe to capture David Burton. Perhaps this is another reference to a plea "to God," to have God's full attention. The song where Matt is cleaning up his bloody nose: This is obscure enough that I had to go to a rabbi and liturgy professor at the Jewish Theological Seminary! Fortunately, he also happens to be my older brother. The translation is: "When the day of rest departs, we approach You- extend Your ear from heaven, where You are enthroned upon praise, [chorus] to listen to joyful song and prayer." The reason it's used in liturgy is because it is said at midnight after the end of the Sabbath. The theme here is that God opens up and listens to 'song and prayer.' Perhaps it's a prelude for Matt going to David Burton so he can be heard. From Daley Review: Thanks, Mike! We would have never made those connections without your help! I (Mike) asked coach Robbie a question two days after Wisconsin lost to Florida on a last second shot in March Madness: How can I still be so bummed out? Two of the nicest people you could meet. I (Mike) have been a fan of their work for years, and to finally meet them was awesome. Thank you to Daniele for being a gracious host. And thank you to Rich for the technical information.
Sorry this one is late. I(Mike) got a little too "lost" with the mini SD card we use to record. I found the memory card in my truck under the seat. This week we discuss different strains of medicine and fun with entheogens. And of course we throw in a little foodie talk to get you hungry. Enjoy!
In Episode Three of the show, Mike sits down in LA with YouTube creator and men's empowerment coach JuVan Langford. JuVan's personal story is one of challenge, adversity and vulnerability. He shares his path from a disrupted and challenging upbringing to becoming a man of strength, purpose and immense value, giving back and inspiring other men. This was a fun conversation to have, however, it was on short notice when I (Mike) was in LA, so while filming literally in a film directors house in the Hollywood hills, we ironically had limited camera equipment. This is to say, you'll see some shots of lower quality, but the conversation is of the highest order, so strap in and get your learn on. I clearly need a vacation. I messed up and somehow failed to record everything that I (Mike!) said in this week's episode. I apologize with my whole heart, and with a show-must-go-on mentality give you episode 23. Cartoons for all ages, baby!
