What if the way you speak to yourself is quietly shaping how happy you feel every single day?In this episode of Raising Wild Hearts, Ryann Watkin sits down with TEDx speaker, high-performance coach, and bestselling author of Audacious Joy, Nicole Kernohan, to explore how language, mindset, and daily habits influence happiness, emotional wellbeing, and personal growth. After a multiple sclerosis diagnosis left her partially paralyzed, Nicole began studying performance psychology, positive psychology, and the mind-body connection. Through years of intentional practice, she rebuilt her health and now helps entrepreneurs, parents, and leaders break through limiting beliefs and create more fulfillment, resilience, and joy in their lives. In this conversation, Nicole introduces a powerful tool called Progressive Affirmations™ — a practical and realistic approach to shifting negative thought patterns without forcing fake positivity. Instead of jumping from self-doubt to confidence overnight, this method helps you gradually rewire your brain, build new neural pathways, and create lasting mindset change.Together, Ryann and Nicole explore how your thoughts influence your feelings, how your feelings shape your actions, and how small shifts in language can create meaningful change in both your inner world and your everyday life.If you've ever struggled with overthinking, self-doubt, negative thought spirals, or feeling stuck despite doing all the “right things,” this episode offers simple, actionable tools to help you feel calmer, clearer, and more in control.✨ In this episode, we cover:• how to be happier using simple language shifts• why negative thought spirals happen and how to stop them• the connection between thoughts, feelings, and actions• how Progressive Affirmations™ help rewire the brain• why forcing positive thinking doesn't work (and what to do instead)• the science behind neural pathways and mindset change• how gratitude practices can improve emotional wellbeing• why high achievers still feel stuck or unfulfilled• how your words shape your beliefs, confidence, and results• practical daily habits for happiness at home and at work• how to shift from overwhelm to calm in real-time• the difference between happiness and deeper joy• how to identify limiting beliefs and outdated thought patterns
You know what to do.So why are you still stuck? In this episode, I sit down with Amy Lenius for an honest conversation about the uncomfortable side of personal growth—the part most people avoid talking about.Amy Lenius is the Director of Group Coaching at Next Level University, professional speaker, event coordinator, MC, and certified personal development and holistic success coach. We explore why growth doesn't always feel good, how self-awareness changes the trajectory of your life, and why the pain of staying the same eventually becomes greater than the pain of changing.Amy shares powerful insights on self-worth, consistency, emotional patterns, and what success actually looks like when it's internally defined instead of socially performed. This conversation is a reminder that real growth isn't about becoming perfect. It's about becoming honest. In this episode, we discuss:Why growth feels uncomfortableThe gap between knowing and doingSelf-awareness and self-actualizationHow your brain tries to keep you “safe”The role of self-worth in successWhy consistency is messy (not perfect)Social media vs real life fulfillmentHow to stop repeating unconscious patternsThe difference between external success and aligned success
What if the real issue isn't that you lack ideas…what if it's a lack of self-connection?In this solo episode, I'm diving into why IDENTITY WORK sits at the heart of everything I do.And why I believe it's the missing piece for so many women craving change, evolution, or a deeper sense of fulfilment after having kids.Because when we lose touch with who we are and what matters to us, it impacts EVERYTHING downstream: our confidence, decisions, boundaries, ambition, relationships, and ability to move forward with clarity. So in this episode I aim to shed some all-important light on:Why so many women feel stuck, restless or disconnected from themselves after having kidsThe hidden cost of losing self-trustWhy “identity work” is so much more practical than people realiseAnd why reconnecting with yourself really is MAGIC when it comes to navigating the modern worldThis is a conversation about self-trust, self-leadership, and consciously building your next chapter from a place of alignment rather than autopilot. If you've been feeling like you're craving something more - but can't quite access clarity yet - this episode will help you understand why.Because you can't consciously build what's next…without knowing who YOU are first.Episode Reference Listen to episode Episode 55 of Do Your Thing "When It's Time For a New Season" HERE - a great companion to this episode about giving yourself permission to evolve ABOUT YOUR HOST - Tamsin WilliamsonI'm Tamsin - Identity and Life Coach for ambitious women ready to redefine life beyond motherhood.I'm here for the woman who's done letting Motherhood be the whole story, and who is ready to reclaim her “main-character energy” and take up space in her own life again. If you're wondering ‘Is this REALLY as good as it gets?' and you're ready to reclaim ownership of your life and self in your OWN right, then I'm here to help you step into that next evolution YOUR way.Want to explore working with me?Find out about my signature coaching and mentorship programme, The Gateway >> HEREFind out about my 90-minute Springboard Session Experience >> HEREBook a FREE 30-min discovery call with me to explore working together >> HEREWant to stay connected?Follow me on Instagram >> HERESubscribe to my newsletter - Fuel Your Freedom >> HERE (a simple but powerful weekly dose of momentum-building rocket fuel)Welcome to Do Your Thing - a bold, beautiful celebration of modern Motherhood, on YOUR terms.Hosted by Tamsin Williamson, The Identity & Life Coach for Ambitious Women Ready To Redefine Life Beyond Motherhood.Every week, join me for open and unfiltered conversations with awe-inspiring women (who also happen to be mothers) about how they do their thing - in life, work and everything in between. What if the reason your life feels off…is because you're not fully being yourself? Not in a dramatic, quit-your-life way.But in the quiet, subtle ways you stay small…self-censor…and override what you know is true.In this conversation, I'm joined by Elvira V. Hopper—transformational speaker, artist, and creator of the Miracle Magnet movement—to explore the real cost of living out of alignment.Because it's not just about feeling “a little off.”It can show up as burnout, anxiety, people-pleasing, and repeating the same patterns over and over again.Together, we talk about:Why so many of us were conditioned to shrink ourselves (hello, “good girl” programming and cultural expectations)The difference between being authentic and reacting from egoHow nervous system patterns and old beliefs keep us stuckWhy self-expression isn't a personality trait—it's a practiceThe role of community in actually creating change This isn't about becoming someone new. It's about coming back to who you've always been.Because when you're out of alignment… your life reflects it.And when you start telling the truth—even in small ways—everything begins to shift.✨ Connect with Elvira + grab her free teaching:http://www.elvirahopper.com/linktree

Co-parenting with your ex is hard enough. Co-parenting with someone you can't stand? That's a whole other level. In this episode, Nyomi reads a letter from Randy — a divorced dad of two (ages 7 and 10) who is two years out from his divorce and still fighting every step of the way. His ex changes the schedule last minute, talks badly about him in front of the kids, and questions every parenting decision he makes. He's tried to be the bigger person. He's exhausted. And he's asking: how do I do this without losing my mind — or my kids?Nyomi doesn't hold back. She gets personal, sharing her own early co-parenting journey, her experience with mediation, why she still prays for her exes, and why she created The Season of Self-Love specifically for parents who need to heal themselves before they can show up fully for their children. Have you ever looked in the mirror and thought, Who even am I anymore? A lot of women have and they tell me about it, which is why I hosted this free workshop and now I'm letting you in on it too. It's not because you don't love being a mom, but because somewhere between the diapers, the planning, the emotional labor, and taking care of everyone else… pieces of you started to fade into the background. In this episode, walk with me through a recorded workshop on how to not lose yourself in motherhood. This isn't about rejecting the role of mom. It's about understanding that motherhood is only one part of who you are and your family benefits when the rest of you is alive and well too. You'll walk through the emotional and cultural pressures many women feel after becoming mothers, including the invisible expectations to sacrifice everything, the mental and emotional exhaustion many moms carry, and why reconnecting with yourself isn't selfish—it's necessary.Inside this episode, you'll explore:Why so many moms feel like their identity disappears after having kidsThe societal pressures that quietly push women into martyr-modeThe difference between loving motherhood and losing yourself in itHow to reconnect with parts of yourself that existed before babyQuestions to help you rediscover what makes you feel alive againChelsea also shares research from the Motherly State of Motherhood Report, which reveals that:Time for themselves is the most depleted area of wellbeing for moms70% of mothers report feeling lonelier than they expectedNearly half of mothers describe themselves as managing but stressedIf you've been feeling overwhelmed, disconnected, or like your own voice has gotten quieter in this season of life you're not alone. And more importantly, you're not stuck there. If this episode felt a little too relatable, the next step might be Confident Mom Reset.Confident Mom Reset is a small-group, six-week experience for moms who want to reconnect with themselves and rebuild confidence in their voice, boundaries, and priorities.Together you'll work through things like:Reconnecting with what you actually wantUnderstanding your energy and what drains itSetting boundaries without guiltLearning to hear your inner voice againCreating a version of motherhood that doesn't erase youThis is not another course you watch alone at midnight. It's a guided experience with real conversations and real shifts happening alongside other moms who get it.The next group begins March 18th, and you can grab the early bird rate ($50 off) if you enroll before the 15th.You can learn more or reserve your spot here:postpartumtogether.com/confident-mom-resetIf you'd like the guided worksheet that accompanies this workshop, send Chelsea a quick email and she'll send it over.Email: chelsea@postpartumtogether.com
If you've ever wrestled with the question, “How often should my child be in contact with their other parent during my time?”, you've probably realized this isn't really about phone calls. It's about the invisible pressure kids feel to stay emotionally connected to both homes simultaneously and the tension it creates for everyone. If you want your home to be a place of peace and predictability, but you keep getting derailed by “just one more check-in", this episode is for you. The problem isn't a lack of love. The problem is that frequent, parent-driven contact can quietly create loyalty binds, disrupt routines, and place adult anxiety on a child's shoulders. We'll share five principles for healthy cross-home communication, so your child can feel settled, your home can have stability, and you and your spouse can stay united instead of stuck in the same argument about how the other home seems to be intruding on ours. You'll walk away with helpful insight that'll help you decide what's best for your kids: prioritize child-driven connection when possible, create respectful boundaries when needed, protect household rhythms, evaluate your unique co-parenting context, and choose quality over quantity.Because the win isn't “constant access.” The win is a child who feels lighter and freer to love everyone without feeling responsible for meeting unrealistic expectations and managing two homes simultaneously. You'll Discover:How “well-meaning” check-ins can unintentionally create pressure, guilt, or loyalty binds for kidsThe 5 guiding principles to create stability and reduce emotional burden across two homesPractical boundary ideas that protect routines without cutting off connectionA 2-question filter to decide whether your current communication pattern is helping or harmingWhy “quality over quantity” is often the best path to a stronger connection (especially for teens)Resources from this Episode:Episode 161. “Weakness simply means your capacity is lower than what the moment requires.”I recorded this episode in the middle of a full, emotional, end-of-year season. The kind where you want to soak up every moment with your kids, make the holidays meaningful, and still somehow hold it all together… while feeling stretched, tired, and not quite like yourself. And that's exactly why I wanted to talk about weakness.Because what we usually call weakness isn't failure. It isn't a character flaw. And it doesn't mean something is wrong with you as a parent or a human. Most of the time, it simply means the demand of the moment exceeds your current capacity. In this episode, I walk you through how I've learned to understand weakness differently and what actually helps when it shows up, especially during high-demand seasons like the holidays. In this episode, I share:Why weakness tends to surface when life gets full, loud, and emotionalThe reframe that changed everything for me: weakness is about capacity, not characterHow shame turns moments of weakness into yelling, spiraling, shutting down, or controlThe four ways I see parents (and myself) respond to weakness:Projecting it onto our kidsAttacking ourselves with “I should be better”Trying to overpower it with willpowerHiding it and calling it “fine”Why self-attack does not create strength and what it actually does to your nervous systemHow truth and honesty stabilize your body and open the door to growthWhat I do now when I realize my capacity is lower than the moment requiresWhy repair matters more than perfection and what really builds resilience in kidsThe shift I'm inviting you into:Instead of asking yourself, What's wrong with me? Try asking, What support do I need right now?Because capacity can be rebuilt. Regulation can return. And when weakness is met with compassion instead of shame, it often becomes the place where connection deepens and growth begins. What I encourage you to practice this week:Stop running from weakness and get honest about what's happeningReplace criticism with curiosityLead with compassion first because safety is what allows changeDecide what actually needs support, not what needs to be fixedLet go of performance and focus on repair and honesty insteadA question to sit with:Where do you notice weakness showing up for you right now? And what might you need to adjust or ask for so you can show up with more kindness instead of more pressure? You don't need to be strong all the time to be a great parent. You just need to stay honest, keep noticing, and be willing to repair.xoxoAndee :) Learn more here --> https://connectmethodparenting.comNext Steps: Leave a review if you've been enjoying the CMP Podcast My Book: https://cmp.works/1xs My IG: https://cmp.works/ista

“Can I come home?”That's all Graham Allen could bring himself to text his wife after walking out on her while she was pregnant with their third child. He was a combat veteran, a serial drinker, a “degenerate husband” by his own words… and a man on the brink of repeating his father's story. In this raw, unfiltered conversation with Josh McPherson, Graham shares:How a heavy metal concert on Bourbon Street confronted him with the pain he was about to cause his own kidsThe night he sat hidden in a church balcony, broke down, and heard one clear word: “Text her”The four-word text that changed everything: “Can I come home?”Why he says he's “too abrasive for the pulpit but too important to ignore”The real story behind Dear America, his viral truck rants, and billions of viewsWhy he insists, “I'm not a good man. Any good you see is Jesus.”A direct challenge to men to put the bottle down, stop texting that other person, and go homeThis isn't a polished Christian fairytale. It's a story of church hurt, bad decisions, divorce papers on the table, PTSD, pride, and a wife who chose obedience to God over the world's advice. If you're a man on the edge of walking away from your family… or someone who thinks you've gone too far to come back to God… this episode is for you.Support the showThanks for listening!
