Kevin and Mike start us off diving into the local sourcing of ingredients from New York State and highlight Industrial Arts Brewing's landscape series. Everyone emphasizes how local farm partnerships, as well as storage and production techniques, have dramatically improved our access to high-quality local ingredients over the past ten years. Episode 259 - 5th Anniversary Show with Jeff O'Neil, Industrial Arts Brewing (COVID-19 Quarantine edition) Happy Anniversary Thieves! This isn't a joke episode. It's an actual anniversary show. Five years ago we launched this podcast with an idea to have a weekly conversation about beer, over beer, among friends that think about beer way too much. Our first home was Barcade in Jersey City and on show number one we had Jeff "Chief" O'Neill on to talk about a brewery he was getting ready to launch. Each year for our anniversary since he's come on to talk about how the brewery, Industrial Arts, has grown, to troll Holl with Orval, and to give Augie a little pushback. We wanted to do this show with you all as part of a live recording but had to postpone that for the obvious reasons. Instead we jumped on the phone for chat with cheif, opened some bottles from our cellar, and otherwise had a good time. And here it is, a bonus episode for you this week to help pass the hours in quarantine. Thanks for the support, the great laughs, the letters, and the beers over these last five years. We're looking forward to a lot more. **Want to support us? We have launched a PATREON Page. We're baaaack! At last, we were able to put together something for all you fine listeners out there in the podcast universe. In Episode 67, in honor of the approaching MLB playoffs, we review the 2003 Japanese horror/comedy/musical film, Battlefield Baseball. It was dubbed in French, and that worked really well for the viewing experience. We also reviewed Wrench, a 6.8% ABV Northeast IPA by Industrial Arts Brewing, out of Garnerville, NY. Not only is this one of the best IPA's we've ever tried, it is also the perfect beer for transitioning from summer into autumn. You need to go out and taste this beer! Now!! Before the baseball zombies get you!!! Cheers!!!

This is a first for us! We spent the evening podcasting live from craft beer mecca, DeCicco and Sons in Brewster, NY. Consumers arrive from all over the trip-state area to experience the amazing and often rare craft brews. Joining us for a tap takeover was Diner Brew Company, Plan Bee Brewery, Industrial Arts Brewing and Brendan from DeCicco and Sons. What you won't hear are the dedicated crew behind the bar who help organize this great event. Big thanks to Vinny, Greg, Nate and Rob. Couldn't have done it with out you."DeCicco’s award winning beer department sometimes leaves people wondering, “Is DeCicco’s a supermarket with awesome beer? Or a beer store that sells awesome food?” Visit one of our locations and decide for yourself. We have one of the most comprehensive beer selections in the state, with vast bottle selections and an ever-changing draft list for growler fills. Our stores in Brewster and Armonk also have beer and wine bars, and regularly host brewers for specials events and releases. The DeCicco beer team also pairs with some of the area’s best brewers to create some wonderful and unique collaborations, including Captain Lawrence, Six Point, Peekskill, Yonkers, Newburgh, Rushing Duck and Evil Twin. Stop by and see why DeCicco’s has been rated “Best Beer Retailer in New York” and “Top Places For Beer In The World.”
The gang is without Dan Beyer this week due to Lab Fest at Industrial Arts Brewing co. Things get a little weird when Uncle Dan, Dadam, and Josh get into some deep philosophical topics such as Hellrasier, what happens when you die and being sad without Beyer. We also used a new recording device which we're still figuring out all the details on(Adams sound is a little weird don't ya think?).
