December is a month of reflection as we look back over the past year, and look forward in anticipation of the new year to come. For some, there is frustration about social, political, and cultural events of 2024 and genuine concern about what is to come in 2025. Our Round Table pundits answer the question - "How are you processing life these days?"

The globalist agenda never gives up. It backs off for a while only to be repackaged in another wrapper. However, its goals always remain the same because it strikes at national sovereignty, taking every opportunity to gain central power in its desire to dominate the lives and liberties of people around the world.--To prove this point via the latest news on this subject, Jim welcomed back Gary Kah. Gary is founder and director of Hope for the World. Gary is Editor of Hope for the World Update. He's an author and former Europe - Middle East Trade Specialist for the Indiana State Government.--Gary began with comments concerning Israel's war with Hamas. He believes that the timing of this war is not coincidental and that it's intended to set the stage, through fear and panic, for a lunge into a more globalist system. --This war has a lot of -moving pieces- and Gary shared what they're up to as he noted that 10 top Iranian generals took up positions in Syria, so Iran is basically running things there. Also, unlike Hamas, Hezbollah has over 120,000 precision guided rockets and missiles to launch at Israel. So right now all the weapons are coming from Iran, through Syria, and into southern Lebanon and if Hezbollah ramps up their efforts, Israel is going to have to respond and that might mean going after Syria.--Complicating matters are the Russian advisers that Gary indicated have been there all along. This means that if Russia and Iran become part of the war, while simultaneously you have the Russia-Ukraine war taking place, this could grow into something much larger than a regional conflict.

Sermon Podcast for Cornerstone Community Church in Galax, Virginia
Today, we want to reflect on all God has done over the last twelve months. We are thankful for God's work in our community, as well as how we have grown in our unity, in baptism, in discipleship, and in service. In this podcast …. well it's just me. Just me doing a very quick recap of 2023 and the first 45 episodes of The Infrastructure Podcast - and a brief trail for what lies ahead in 2024.When I set out on this podcasting adventure back in February, I billed it as being a new, regular podcast series featuring conversations with some of the key leaders and influencers from across UK infrastructure sector. Conversations creating change.Big ambitions of course. But I hope that over those last 45 episodes I have managed to hit the brief and cover a really wide range of issues – the names you know and hopefully also some that perhaps you didn't. Now…apparently, most podcasts die after 3 episodes so I'll call that a success there – and according to my podcast host, your listenership has pushed me into the top 25% of podcasts which sounds good to me. Upwards and onwards! I'll carry on!But looking back, a huge thanks must go, of course, to all the people that have given their time to chat to me. When I started this little audio adventure it was something of a personal mission and so required a leap of faith from those on the other side of the microphone - could I produce something worth listening to? Every day is a learning day so thanks for your support. I hope you are enjoying it as much as I do! The Infrastructure Podcast remains a personal mission – something I do in in my time for you – and to be honest it is rather nice not having corporate or commercial overlords bearing down on every decision! I think it makes a difference! So a quick recap of my highlights. And, of course, if I was half competent, - or if I was backed by Gary Linaker or the BBC - I'd now be adding in short clips from across the year – Pick of the Year style. Sadly, as it's just me in the production team, you'll have to make do with this week's verbal recap as I try to remind of what you might have missed! Or what you might have enjoyed! In which case do tell your friends and colleagues. (and family if you like!). Enjoy!

As we approach the 300 episode milestone, this special installment of BIC Talks - the last of 2023 - featuring V Ravichandar, honorary director of BIC, Raghu Tenkayala, Chief of Operations and Infrastructure and Vikram Bhat, current Joint Director, taking over as director from the first of January in conversation with Lekha Naidu, Programme Manager and Custodian of the podcast. This episode features an informal chat - an exercise in looking back for insights and looking forward with an evolved vision as far as the podcast is concerned. In this two part episode, we also take an opportunity to look back at what Ravi, dubbed the patron of lost causes does best - think deeply about solving the city's problems, with a quick look back at a session titled - Why is it so Darn Hard to Fix Bengaluru? - Bengaluru appears to be a work in tatters. ‘Mohenjo Daro' type excavations, ‘moon like' craters and continuous road works are normalised. Traffic snarls are a daily occurrence. We think nothing of dumping the waste of a city of 11 million in villages of 5000 consigning them to everlasting misery. Come monsoon and there are inevitable flooding of low lying areas – if a Nostradmus like prediction is required, urban flooding is the doomsday scenario for Bengaluru given the rampant, unchecked growth with multiple violations. The speaker despite the above gloomy outlook is a perpetual optimist despite tilting at ‘windmills' for over two decades. His talk will focus on understanding the underlying reasons why fixing the city needs a herculean, holistic effort. That is a first step in figuring out how do we get out of the collective hole we are in. This was originally part of a BHeard at BIC event that took place in March of 2022. My reflections on what God has done in 2023 in the LK10 Community. And, what we are sensing for 2024.
This weeks message is by Matt Harrison.
Jesus saw people in their helplessness and confusion, and He had compassion. What would it look like for us to fully receive that compassion and allow it to fuel our mission? Lead Pastor Jason Gore looks back on 2023 and forward to what's in store for 2024.--Every year at Hope, we take a moment to look back through the past year and highlight what we've experienced and accomplished. We also paint a vision for what the next year will be like for us as a church. What has the last year looked like for us at Hope, and what are we looking forward to in this next year? Near the end of the year, we do three things: 1. Celebrate what God has done through this church family 2. Evaluate where we are as a church family 3. Look ahead to what God has for us in the coming yearMatthew 9:35 (NLT)Jesus was with the people.Matthew 9:36 (NLT)Jesus had compassion on the people. Our God is a God of compassion.Matthew 9:37-38 (NLT)Jesus told them to pray. Pray for more workers.Matthew 10:1, 5a, 7-8 (NLT)Jesus made His disciples the answer to the prayer He told them to pray. Jesus sends those who understand His compassion to go to the ones who need compassion. Two things we need to learn from this passage: 1. Jesus has compassion for us in our brokenness. 2. We are led to show that compassion to the world around us.Compassion fuels the mission.Compassion should move us to prayer, and that prayer should lead to action.Who We Are – Our mission as a church is to love people where they are and encourage them to grow in their relationship with Jesus Christ. Strengthen families by investing in marriage, parenting and youth. Equip and empower our church to be missionaries in everyday life. Meet the needs of our community before they come to us. (locally and globally) Leverage online platforms to maximize our reach and impact. Here's what we've seen in 2023…Strengthening Families: ReEngage – More than 400 men and women went through it and came out with healthier marriages. In this exhortation, on the first Sunday of this Advent season, Pastor Max Kozak looks back to Simeon's Advent waiting in the gospel of Luke and then looks forward as we too wait for Jesus to come – but we wait with a New Covenant perspective. We know “Christ has come ...” and now we wait for the day when “... Christ will come again.”

During the pandemic, the cultural tides around work ambition turned. People were over their ambitions.Consider these stats: In 2022, Gartner found that more than 50% of surveyed workers said they were questioning the purpose of their jobs and the role work should play in their lives. Also in 2022, the Mckinsey Health Institute found that one in four employees experienced burnout symptoms. And in mid-2022, 29% of employees who resigned from their jobs said they did so for better work-life balance, according to the Society for Human Resource Management.Maybe you recognize yourself in one of those numbers. And yet as we move away from the pandemic, there is a thawing and a movement with people wanting to reclaim their ambition. I've been exploring ambition on the podcast for the last two years, and so for the 100th episode, I'm going to look back and reflect on conversations with guests, and how their insights and my research have sharpened my thinking about the three core pillars of Sustainable Ambition: Right Ambition, Right Time, and Right Effort. Thanks for Listening! If you liked this episode, please rate, review, and share the episode. On November 26th, 2019, the first Inside JABA Series podcast was published. This series was the brainchild of Dr. Linda LeBlanc, who at the time was the incoming Editor in Chief, and I have to say, doing these shows has been a highlight of producing this podcast. As I remind people often, I'm not involved in the production or publication of Behavior Analytic research, so you can imagine how much I've learned about this process in making what is now 13 Inside JABA Series podcast episodes. At the same time, it's been an incredible privilege to share these shows - including the papers we've hi-lighted therein - with you. At the time of this recording, Linda recently transitioned out of the role of Editor in Chief. This position is now filled by Dr. John Borrero, from the University of Maryland Baltimore County. As such, for the 13th installment in this series, the three of us got together to discuss a range of nerdy JABA topics, including how editors-in-chief are selected, what repertoires make for successful editors-in-chief, how to manage the review process, and more. We also talked about what makes a paper a "JABA paper." I think you might find some of Linda and John's thoughts on this surprising. Linda also shared a story on how she solved a specific clinical problem she encountered early on in her career by getting inspiration from the pages of JABA. Finally, we closed the show by looking back on some of Linda's accomplishments and discussed where John sees JABA moving forward. I won't spoil it here, but let's just say he has some really cool ideas, so please be sure to tune in for that segment. Even if you're not involved in conducting and publishing research, I think you'll find the discussion of how our flagship journal works very interesting. Lastly, as I have expressed numerous times, I am profoundly grateful for this opportunity to work with the JABA team, and I look forward to working with John on future installments of the Inside JABA Series.
