Jim began the program by sharing a couple stories on how Christmas is under attack. No matter how hard you try, you can't cancel Christmas. He then shared the fulfillment of prophecy given hundreds of years before Christ, followed by several Scriptures which lay out the the birth of Christ and the reason for which He came. For the remainder of the program, phone lines were opened to give listeners an opportunity to share a brief thought as to what makes this time of year special to them - perhaps a word of testimony, a verse of Scripture, a Christmas carol or a brief Christmas greeting.

Shahram Hadian is the founder of Truth in Love Ministry. He is a Christian pastor and a former Muslim. Shahram was born in Iran and came to America in 1978 to escape an oppressive Islamic regime and committed his life to Jesus Christ in 1999. He has an extensive background not only as a pastor, but also is a former police officer, teacher, coach and servant leader in his community. Despite consistent attacks upon Jews and Christians around the world (infidels), Islam is claiming to be the victim and that the real problem is Islamophobia. Recent strong statements from individuals such as Congressman Randy Fine and Senator Tommy Tuberville have no doubt fueled the fire. The solution that's being called for is a unified definition of Islamophobia that includes insults to their prophet, their sacred symbols and those holding to a perspective that is in opposition to Islam. As Shahram noted in his comments dealing with the recent Bondi Beach shooting in Sydney, Australia, the reaction by the government shows they are more afraid of the jihadists within their borders than they are the Christians or Jews who aren't going around blowing things up. This is why when you hear terms like "Islamist," "Radical Islam" or "extremism," these are attempts at deflection in order to create the false narrative that there's a peaceful version of Islam, which 1,400 years of history has proven false. Shahram also indicated that it can be proven Islamic Sharia Law, as a legal system, violates the tenets of the First Amendment to the Bill of Rights. If this fact alone is ignored, it opens the door wide open to the advancement of Islam with no opposition.

Dr. David Saxon, professor of Church History at Maranatha Baptist University, tells the story of Andrew Fuller, an English Baptist pastor and missions supporter, to Randy Melchert

Here's a selection of stories Jim presented during the first half-hour of this edition of the News Round-Up & Comment program: --Secretary of War, Pete Hegseth, released a video on Tuesday evening announcing immediate changes to directives given to military chaplains. He described the original intent of chaplains, that they are to be the spiritual and the moral backbone of our nation's forces. Jim provided audio from the secretary. --This past Wednesday, Pete Hegseth hosted the first ever Pentagon Christmas worship service. Jim provided audio from U.S. Navy Admiral and Chaplain, Carey Cash. --Authorities have identified the suspect in Saturday's mass shooting at Brown University that left two students dead and nine injured during a finals week review session as the same man believed to have carried out the murder of a renowned nuclear scientist at Massachusetts Institute of Technology. --Milwaukee Judge Hannah Dugan was found guilty of a felony charge of obstruction by a jury yesterday in a case involving the judge's actions related to the defendant in her court that ICE officials were attempting to arrest outside the courtroom. --House Republicans successfully passed a premium-slashing health care package on Wednesday, overcoming a late breaking revolt from House GOP moderates. --Senate Minority Leader Chuck Schumer declined Tuesday to rule out triggering another government shutdown as Democrats press Republicans to extend the enhanced Affordable Care Act subsidies. --President Trump signed the National Defense Authorization Act yesterday authoring some 901 billion dollars in military and national security programs for fiscal year 2026.

Gary Kah is founder and director of Hope for the World. Gary is Editor of Hope for the World Update. He is an author and former Europe & Middle East Trade Specialist for the Indiana State Government. Globalists have an agenda that casts aside national sovereignty, private property rights and individual freedom. In other words, they have a lust for worldwide control over nearly every facet of your life. The goal is a one-world system economically, politically and even spiritually. In order to craft this effort, regular meetings are being held by the United Nations, the World Health Organization, the World Economic Forum, the International Monetary Fund, the World Bank, the World Trade Organization and other globalist bodies. Gary monitors this agenda and he presented listeners with an update concerning the following: Pope Leo's brother supposedly is a strong MAGA Republican. Will this cause Trump to get "cozy" with the Pope?...the increase in hate toward anything Jewish or Christian...Zohran Mamdani and socialism in the United States...the economy and our debt...digital currency plans...and much more! It's always an information-packed program when Gary is the guest so there will be a lot to take in when you review this edition of Crosstalk.

Dr. Nathan Jones is director of internet outreach and is co-host of Christ in Prophecy at Lamb & Lion Ministries. He is a media evangelist harnessing radio, television, internet and print to spread the Gospel. He's an author and holds a Doctor of Religious Studies in Evangelistic Apologetics. This Crosstalk looks at his book, The Coming Millennial Kingdom. The Bible teaches us that the earth's failed, flawed, human system will one day end when the Prince of Peace returns at His second coming to install and establish His kingdom (the millennial kingdom) which will go on into eternity. However, in our day as we wrestle with a failed human government, we must also continue to deal with the problem of sin that's behind it all. In order to see the broader picture that the Bible presents concerning the move toward the millennial kingdom, Dr. Jones starts from the statue in Nebuchadnezzar's dream. Moving on, he discusses other aspects such as the gathering of Israel, the reign of Christ, the millennial kingdom itself, the millennial temple, what happens at the end of the millennium and much more. So if Bible prophecy is of interest to you, don't miss this edition of Crosstalk!

Phillip Bliss and his wife were headed from their home in Rome, Pennsylvania, to Chicago to reunite with the evangelist D. L. Moody. On December 29th, 1876, their train, the Pacific Express was crossing a trestle bridge near Ashtabula, Ohio. The bridge collapsed, and the train cars fell into the ravine. In that day, each train car had a stove to heat the vehicle, and with the fall the train cars eventually caught fire. While Bliss initially survived, he went for his wife, and neither survived. This was the greatest loss of life in a train crash to date, and known to history as the Ashtabula River Railroad Disaster. The human remains were moved to Chestnut Grove cemetery and buried in a mass grave. In his baggage was found the words to the hymn, I Will Sing of My Redeemer and His Wondrous Love to Me, set to music after his death.

Dr. Gary Frazier is founder and president of Discovery Missions International, an equipping ministry. He is a former pastor, a respected speaker on Bible prophecy and the author of 15 books. He returned to Crosstalk to discuss his book, Hell is for Real: Why It Matters. Early on Gary mentioned how many people never ponder their own mortality. He gave an example involving George Barna, the highly respected survey expert. He discovered that 76% of Americans surveyed said they believe there is a heaven. 71% believe there is a hell. The problem is that only one half of one percent believe that they will go there; that it's only for terrible people. So the criteria that is used to determine where someone will spend eternity has been flawed. Getting the right criteria means dealing with certain questions and answering them biblically. Gary does just that as he deals with the following difficult questions related to this vital subject: What does it take to get to heaven? What does it take to get to hell? Are there some pastors that are giving out wrong information when it comes to hell? How does the Bible describe hell? Why would our loving God create such a place? What does it mean to "perish"?

In Germany's Reformation church, Hitler's regime co-opted the church under Mueller, while Bonhoeffer and Niemöller resisted, showing moral courage and warning that true faith demands standing for truth over conformity.

Usama Dakdok is founder of the Straight Way of Grace Ministry. He's the speaker on Revealing the Truth About Islam. Born and raised in Egypt, Usama learned about Islam just as every other student does in a Muslim country. He studied for a university degree in Egypt which included the study of Sharia. He came to America in 1992. With his knowledge of Islam, he founded The Straight Way of Grace Ministry. Usama speaks fluent Arabic and has translated the Qur'an into English. He's the author of Exposing the Truth about the Qur'an and Exposing the Truth About Jihad and the booklets, The Violent Truth about Islam and The Straight Way to Eternal Life. Usama travels the country to equip the church to minister to Muslims and to warn Americans about the deceptive methods being used that lead many into the cult of Islam. Since late last week, multiple Islamic terror attacks have taken place in various places around the world including Brown University, in Syria, Amsterdam, Germany and Australia. When it comes to such attacks, one organization to watch out for is the Muslim Brotherhood. According to Usama, the Muslim Brotherhood originated as a revival movement in Egypt. So they are members of Egypt, leaders of the mosque, are very scholarly, they study the Qur'an and they adhere to the roots of their beliefs. In other words, there's nothing "radical" about them as they simply follow the core teachings that comprise Islam. There's much more to hear, including Usama's comments regarding the attack on Jews in Sydney, Australia, where 15 individuals were killed. The attack is being called, "Hanukkah Horror."

Below are highlights from the first quarter hour of this week's Round-Up broadcast: --Tyler Robinson, the man who is alleged to have assassinated Charlie Kirk of Turning Point USA, made his first court appearance yesterday, nearly 3 months after being taken into custody. --As expected, lawmakers failed to pass either of the competing partisan health care bills in the Senate yesterday. The result all but ensures that the enhanced premium tax credits through legislation known as "Obama Care" will revert to pre-pandemic levels in 2026. --Wisconsin Congressman Glenn Grothman says the National Defense Authorization Act passed Wednesday by the House contains a little noticed weapon to cut federal spending and bureaucracy. The bill, now heading to the Senate, cuts 19% of civilian jobs inside the War Department saving an estimated 30 billion dollars. --The U.S. House of Representatives passed a 901 billion dollar defense authorization bill Wednesday but stripped a controversial provision that would have required insurance coverage for in-vitro fertilization for military families. --The U.S. Congress voted Wednesday in favor of repealing the Caesar Act as part of the National Defense Authorization Act for fiscal year 2026. --The U.S. has seized an oil tanker off the coast of Venezuela. --A New York Times report revealed that the seized oil tanker may have been trying to conceal its whereabouts by broadcasting falsified location data according to a New York Times analysis of satellite imagery and photographs.

David J. Decker is the founder and CEO of Decker Properties, a Wisconsin real estate company since 1990. A graduate of Indiana University, David has authored several books including his latest How to Go to the Super Bowl for Free, a "playbook" for crafting a life of purpose, prosperity and everlasting life. Evangelism is about spreading the Christian Gospel message with "Gospel" meaning, "Good News." This can be done via public preaching or personal witness. In fact, this was commanded by Jesus so if you're a Christian, you have your marching orders! This is actually a great privilege because sadly, there are many people that will never darken the door of a church. Does the thought of personal evangelism frighten you? Would it help you to know that as a self-described shy, introverted person, David is willing to go anywhere to speak with anyone about the Gospel? Learn how you can break out of your shell to share your faith and become a confident conduit for the Gospel. Along the way, you'll hear an amazing story about getting free Super Bowl tickets too!

Tom DeWeese is president of American Policy Center. Tom is one of the nation's leading advocates of individual liberty, free enterprise, private property rights, personal privacy, back-to-basics education and American sovereignty and independence and protecting our Constitutionally-guaranteed rights. Tyson Foods has announced they are closing their beef processing plant in Lexington, Nebraska. Then there's their Amarillo, Texas, processing plant where they're planning to drop one of the two shifts and eliminate 1,700 jobs. As Tom noted, there are only four companies in the meat packing industry. All four are part of what's known as the Sustainable Beef Roundtable. This was put together under the control of the World Wildlife Fund (WWF), an organization that advocates for the elimination of beef consumption to save the planet. What's also interesting is the fact that "sitting at the table" with the WWF is the National Cattlemen's Beef Association, the largest representative of the American beef industry. In short, if those in the beef industry fail to follow the rules and operate sustainably, the packing companies won't deal with them. With fewer and fewer beef processing plants and ever tighter restrictions on beef growers, guess what that does to American beef prices? Jim and Tom also discussed: The rule known as Waters of the United States. A serious concern about water or a land grab? Artificial Intelligence (AI) and the effort to track, monitor and control everything in your life via digital I.D. AI data centers and the huge amounts of water and energy they consume.

It is just shy of 4 years ago when we first introduced to you Scott Schara, the father of Grace Schara. Grace was his 19-year-old daughter with Down Syndrome who tested positive for COVID and was hospitalized. Grace was ushered into eternity on October 13, 2021. Our guest launched a landmark lawsuit, Schara vs. Ascension Health et all. Leading up to this he warned about the dangers of incentivized healthcare and where this leads. His work and story have been chronicled in a chapter of the Wall Street Journal Bestseller, Rise of the Fourth Reich. His writing has also appeared in Assault on the Image of God. His lawsuit was heard earlier this year before a jury trial. On June 19th the jury rendered their decision against the Schara's and in favor of Ascension. Our guest has since filed a motion for a new trial regarding wrongful death which will be considered by a court on December 19th.

What messages did Bradford have inscribed into his headstone?

Barbara Loe Fisher is the President of the National Vaccine Information Center (NVIC), a non-profit charity she co-founded with parents of DPT vaccine injured children in 1982. NVIC is a national, grassroots movement and public information campaign to institute vaccine safety reforms and informed consent protections in the public health system. She has researched, analyzed and publicly articulated the major issues involving the science, policy, law, ethics and politics of vaccination to become one of the world's leading non-medical, consumer advocacy experts on the subject. Since President Trump took office, a new direction has been taken as it relates to public information and vaccinations. Questions that have long been asked by organizations are now being raised by those with decision-making authority. We'll be getting into a number of issues today pertaining to mRNA vaccinations, the flu shot, the vaccination schedule for newborns and more.

In Wittenberg, Luther burned Pope Leo's papal bull at the Elster Gate, defying the papacy, defending Scripture over tradition, inspiring students, and igniting the Reformation, ultimately splitting the church.

From Portland to Minnesota to Washington and beyond, once again, Jim had much to share from the news desk. Here's a selection of stories from the first half hour: --The U.S. Supreme Court has agreed to hear oral arguments over the legality of President Trump's executive order to end birthright citizenship in the U.S. --After nearly 5 years, Brian Cole, Jr., of Woodbridge, Virginia, the alleged January 6th pipe bomber, was arrested by the FBI yesterday. --Venezuelan President Nicholas Maduro has confirmed that he had a phone call with President Trump amid a major military build-up in the Caribbean and the threat of an attack on his country. He said the call, which occurred last month, was cordial. --Two people who survived the U.S. military's early September strike on an alleged drug carrying vessel were attempting to climb back onto the boat before it was hit a second time. --Russia has begun evacuating its citizens from Venezuela. --The White House has debuted a new page on its website aimed at lambasting media outlets over fake news coverage of the Trump administration. --Democratic Senator Mark Warner is facing a firestorm after suggesting he believes members of the U.S. armed forces should save us from President Trump. --Iranian-run, Soros-funded billboards, are urging soldiers to disobey orders. --Minnesota Governor Tim Walz is at the center of a widening scandal as federal prosecutors continue to unravel one of the nation's largest COVID-era fraud cases. --My Pillow CEO Mike Lindell has filed paperwork for a possible run as a Republican for the position of governor of Minnesota.

Rich Christiano is a film writer, director & producer. In 2002 he, along with his brother Dave, formed Five & Two Pictures, reminiscent of the lad who shared what he had – 5 loaves and two fish. Rich is responsible for multiple films such as Time Changer, Unidentified, The Secrets of Jonathan Sperry, A Matter of Faith, Play the Flute and Mind Reader. As Christians we need to think on those things that Paul wrote about. It's those things that are true, honest, just, pure, lovely and of good report. Rich understands this and that's why he follows these three criteria when it comes to producing movies. They must please the Lord, motivate Christians to live for the Lord and they must share the Gospel. It's from this perspective that Rich spoke from as he described 4 powerful films that he's produced and how they can be used by you to share God's great gift of salvation through Jesus Christ. Jim also provided audio clips from each movie that highlights their impact: The movies discussed were: Unidentified—Two reporters for a magazine investigate a UFO sighting in a small Texas town. The Secrets of Jonathan Sperry (Jonathan is played by Gavin McLeod)—Taking place in 1970, this movie is about a 75 year old man who befriends three, 12 year old boys and begins holding Bible studies with them. A Matter of Faith—A drama about a woman (Rachel Whitaker) that goes to college where her biology teacher (played by Harry Anderson) teaches evolution. Play the Flute—A youth pastor takes over an indifferent youth group and tries to motivate these kids and encourage them to get serious about a relationship with the Lord just by using the Bible and not fun and games.

Paul Popov is CEO of Door of Hope International. They are a voice and a helping hand to persecuted Christians worldwide. When he was five years old, his father, Haralan Popov, a prominent Protestant minister, was brutally taken from his family by the KGB in 1948 and arrested on false charges of being a "spy for America". Paul, along with his family, were branded as "enemies of the state". God is moving and the church is expanding in spite of strong resistance and persecution. So don't miss this edition of Crosstalk as Paul brings listeners up to date on what's taking place in Ukraine, Nigeria, Syria and more, as well as information about the special Christmas outreach of Door of Hope International. Dr. David Saxon, professor of Church History at Maranatha Baptist University, tells the story of Obadiah Holmes, a colonial American Baptist, who was whipped for the crime of preaching without a license.

Twila Brase is president and co-founder of Citizens' Council for Health Freedom, a national patient-centered, privacy-focused, free-market policy organization to support health care choices, individualized patient care and medical and genetic privacy. Twila is a certified public health nurse and author of the eight-time award-winning book, Big Brother in the Exam Room: The Dangerous Truth About Electronic Health Records. She's the speaker on the daily Health Freedom Minute heard on stations across the nation. Twila returned to Crosstalk with an important update as it relates to your health care and privacy concerns. You'll want to review this broadcast as she discussed the following: Was the Affordable Care Act about health care accessibility and affordability or was it perhaps a transfer of wealth and a move toward socialized medicine? What you need to know concerning the Obamacare subsidies that highlighted the debate during the recent government shutdown. The problems with Medicare Advantage vs. regular Medicare. Real I.D.--Twila explains why it's far more than just a driver's license and what it means in terms of your privacy.

This edition of Crosstalk was directed at parents, encouraging them to be aware of those things that are ever present and designed to lure children away from you and biblical values. As 1 Peter 5:8 says: "Be sober, be vigilant; because your adversary the devil, as a roaring lion, walketh about, seeking whom he may devour." You'll see precisely how this is playing out as Jim presented examples ranging from pornography to video games, as well as those things that are relying more and more on artificial intelligence. For example: A New York school gets caught promoting online pornography as art and attempts to conceal the attempt from parents. An Oregon father outraged after discovering his 11 year old son was slated to receive a state-issued sexual orientation and gender identity survey that asked children to identify their sexual orientation and gender identity and whether they are transgender. Hundreds of children are set to be vaccinated with puberty blockers in the first UK, National Health Service (NHS)-backed experiment of its kind. The latest news on the connection between video games and aggression. A report from the Public Interest Research Group called, Trouble in Toyland 2025, says choking hazards and lead used to be the greatest toy-related threats. While those are still concerns, today it's toys that are powered by artificial intelligence or that contain toxic elements. There's more that Jim will share. So if it's your desire to raise your children in "...the nurture and admonition of the Lord," (Ephesians 6:4) don't miss this broadcast!

Randy Melchert interviews Dr. Terry White of the the Winona History Center at Grace College on Billy Sunday, baseball player turned evangelist

Martin Luther's priesthood of all believers broke clergy-laity barriers, gave value to everyday work, enabled all to access God directly, and transformed life, worship, and society with dignity and purpose.

The famed hymn-writer lived in this house, 1869-75. Here, some of his best known hymns were written. His best-known hymns include "Shall We Gather at the River", "Christ Arose!", "How Can I Keep from Singing?" and "Nothing But The Blood Of Jesus".

To begin our annual Giving Thanks broadcast, Jim brought wise words from numerous sources to the attention of listeners. He began with God's Word, specifically Psalm 92:1-5. From there he quoted author Jerry Newcombe from a column in the Christian Post titled: Thanksgiving—An Annual Reminder of Our Nation's Christian Roots. Finally, Jim shared comments from author Robert J. Morgan concerning the hymn, Now Thank We All Our God. The listening audience shared the spotlight for the remainder of the program as they communicated what they are thankful for and why. Happy Thanksgiving from the Crosstalk team!

In Wittenberg, Pastor Lutzer highlights the Judensau sculpture, reflecting historic Christian anti-Jewish hatred, Luther's harsh writings, and modern church efforts seeking forgiveness, reconciliation, and unity with the Jewish community.

Our Christian Heritage goes "On Location" with Randy Melchert to Whitewater, WI to see the grave of James Delaney, an Irishman who was converted in Burma, influenced by Adoniram Judson, and became a churchplanter in Wisconsin territory!

In 19th-century England, James and Amelia Taylor famously prayed, 'Dear God, if you should give us a son, grant that he may work for you in China.' Their son, James Hudson Taylor, would go on to become the most influential missionary of the modern missionary movement. Author Vance Christie tells Hudson Taylor's story to Randy Melchert.

Pastor Lutzer highlights a Wittenberg church painting by Cranach, illustrating the Reformation: Catholics neglect the vineyard, while Luther and Reformers remove weeds, nurturing the gospel of Christ for believers.

Come with Randy Melchert to Franklin, Kentucky, as we learn about the man who wrote beloved hymns like "O To Be Like Thee," "Living for Jesus," and "Great is Thy Faithfulness"

Jesus predicted Jerusalem's fall but gave no dates, warning against speculation. The disciples' questions in Matthew 24 concern His return to establish His kingdom, not the rapture—unknown to them then. Scripture teaches two future comings: the imminent rapture of the church and Christ's later visible return after the tribulation.

Dr. Corey Pfaffe is a Certified Public Accountant and Principal of MinistryCPA. They advise individuals and organizations as they steward the financial resources entrusted to them. Prior to this organization, Corey served as the Dean of the School of Business at Maranatha Baptist University in Watertown, Wisconsin. He holds a PhD in Management Science. Proverbs 3:9 says: "Honour the Lord with thy substance, and with the first fruits of all thine increase." We do this as we put our check in the church offering regularly, yet is there anything else we should be considering? Yes, there's the tax issue. Jesus said: "Render unto Caesar the things that are Caesar's, and to God the things that are God's." However, we aren't entitled to give Caesar more than he's entitled to. So is there a way we can do that without compromising our integrity while increasing our stewardship? This is where Dr. Pfaffe comes in as he explained a number of stewardship opportunities that he referred to as tax smart strategies. They include: Donor Advised Fund Qualified Charitable Distribution Gifts of Appreciated Stock Charitable IRA Request Required Minimum Distribution Listeners brought their questions to the broadcast as well, so there's a lot to take in and learn from this edition of Crosstalk.

When we think about deception in our world today, we might think of the political realm where a piece of legislation might carry an appealing name, yet when you examine it, in at least some way, it does just the opposite of what the name communicates. This is just one of the many forms of deception, but the one that is most egregious is that which attempts to distort God's Word. These are modern attempts that mimic what Satan did in the garden when he asked, "Yea hath God said...?" Such attempts are even more sinister when the target audience is children, as was shown on this edition of Crosstalk, as Jim interviewed Dale Mason who presented his thoughts on the recently released book, The Just Love Story Bible. Dale is a dad, father, grandfather, a researcher and a writer. Though now retired, he served two decades as a vice president at Answers in Genesis. Dale and his wife homeschooled their four children and now all 21 of his grandchildren are being homeschooled. The authors of The Just Love Story Bible are Rev. Dr. Jacqui Lewis and Rev. Dr. Shannon Daley-Harris. Lewis is Senior Minister at Middle Church in New York City while Daley-Harris is the Associate Dean of Auburn Theological Seminary. The authors are social justice activists. Not surprisingly, they weave this into numerous biblical accounts while also including gender and LGBT ideology as well. While this Crosstalk is certainly a warning, it isn't about merely cursing the darkness. Jim and Dale light a candle as they discuss an alternative, The 10 Minute Bible Journey, that can be of great spiritual benefit for young families as it points to and upholds the authority of the Scriptures.

Scripture is complete, ending with John's Revelation in A.D. 96. Later writings like the Gnostic gospels contradict the Bible and cannot be inspired. Satan still challenges God's Word, but believers must trust Scripture's truth, read it with an open heart, and find salvation and purpose through Christ revealed in its pages.

Jim had much to report on, including an update on an important missionary outreach to the Middle East. Here are some highlights from the first half of the broadcast: --VCY's "Central Asia Project" is now complete and Jim was pleased to announce that the campaign raised $46,141.55! (For more information, review the Crosstalk program from October 8th.) --A U.N. Security Council voted 13-0 on Monday to adopt a sweeping U.S.-drafted resolution that codifies President Donald Trump's 20-point plan for Gaza and endorses a new international stabilization force and formally recognizes the establishment of a Board of Peace to be chaired by President Trump. --Hamas has been stockpiling weapons in African nations sympathetic to them. --Israeli National Security Minister Itamar Ben-Gvir urged the targeted elimination of senior Palestinian Authority officials whom he described as terrorists in every sense of the word. --Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu affirmed Israel's opposition to a Palestinian state and committed to demilitarize Hamas during his opening remarks at the government meeting this past weekend. --The IDF announced Thursday that it has uncovered one of the most extensive and sophisticated Hamas tunnel systems discovered to date. --Iran says it has terminated an agreement signed in September with the International Atomic Energy Agency in Cairo that paved the way for renewed cooperation and relaunching inspections of its nuclear facilities. --The Pakistani jihad leader Masood Azhar has claimed that he is richer than both Elon Musk an Mark Zuckerberg and that they have no shortage of money for jihad.

The 30th session of the United Nations Climate Change Conference is underway in Brazil. It brings in eco-zealots from around the world. Keep in mind it was at this type of conference that just 10 years go some 195 parties signed the so-called "Paris Agreement" which was really a treaty to set emission standards. President Trump has pulled the U.S. out of this agreement. Jim states that this conference is steeped with rank hypocrisy and poses a significant threat to the sovereignty of nations as well as to personal liberty. The shorter name for this event is COP30, a Conference to the Parties to the United Nations Framework Convention on Climate Change. Our guest has been attending this conference, which by the way, has within the last few hours been evacuated due to a fire that broke out.

Our Christian Heritage goes "On Location" with Tim Schmig in Plymouth, MA. Learn how a skeptic became a missionary!

Many people avoid studying Bible prophecy thinking it's just too difficult to understand. Frustration can form over competing claims as to the timing of certain events or the arguments over what to take or not take literally. With this broadcast, Crosstalk hopes to provide a clear picture and timeline of what will happen during the end times as Todd Hampson (with Jeff Kinley) has produced a wonderful resource called, A Visual Guide to the End Times. This book is a comprehensive survey of the end times, presented in a visually stunning and easy to use format. Todd is an author, speaker, illustrator, animation producer, and co-host of the Prophecy Pros Podcast. Todd's award-winning animation company, Timbuktoons, has produced content for many well-known ministry organizations. He has a burden to reach the next generation with the Gospel through the convincing proofs of Bible prophecy and apologetics, the very things that led to his salvation as a teenager.

Major school districts around the U.S. are reporting an eye-opening decline in the number of students in their classrooms, with the impact being felt due to falling birthrates and expanding school choice programs. What's going on? The guest on this Crosstalk finds this exodus heartening and she hopes it accelerates. She believes government schools continue to fail our children and don't deserve to stay in business. The guest we're referring to is Sheri Few. Sheri is president and founder of United States Parents Involved in Education. It is their mission to end the U.S. Department of Education and all federal education mandates. She is a nationally recognized leader on education policy. She served as executive producer for the documentary film, Truth & Lies in American Education. Jim led off this broadcast with two audio clips. The first was from Michigan Interim State Superintendent of Public Instruction, Sue Carnell. When directly asked how many genders there are she said, "Different people have different beliefs on that." The second clip featured President of the Chicago Teachers Union, Stacy Davis Gates. As of October, she's also president of the Illinois Federation of Teachers. Her quote communicates that children don't belong to the parents but instead are their (the educators) children. These two quotes highlight the underlying problem in the public schools today.

Mat Staver is founder and chairman of Liberty Counsel. Mat is a constitutional attorney with three landmark cases before the U.S. Supreme Court. He is an author and the host of the radio broadcasts Faith & Freedom and Freedom's Call and the TV broadcast Freedom Alive. The first quarter hour dealt with the case of Kim Davis, the former county clerk for Rowan County, Kentucky, who refused to have her name on a marriage license for a same-sex couple. Mat provided an update telling listeners that the Supreme Court decided not to take up this case. Mat went through the very compelling set of facts that show it's not a matter of if, but when, the Obergefell v. Hodges decision is overturned. Other cases/issues noted by Mat included: The State of New York informed employers that they can't accommodate the requests of religious workers, even remote workers, and if they do, they will be fined daily and lose their business license. A case in January involving fairness in women's sports. A Maine mother who's been barred from taking her 12 year old daughter to church, the girl is not allowed to associate with her church friends and can't even attend a wedding or funeral there (Bickford v. Bradeen). The re-energizing of the Liberty Counsel "Friend or Foe" Christmas campaign.

Pastor Lutzer, in Wittenberg, describes Martin Luther's life, teachings, and theology. He emphasizes Luther's wit, focus on Scripture, understanding of the devil, commitment during the plague, and message of grace and faith.

Dr. David Saxon, professor of Church History at Maranatha Baptist University, tells the story of the Lone Star Revival to Randy Melchert. In 1853, a mission in India was marked by a very small congregation, marked on a map with just a lone star. Should it be disbanded?

Following the Great Tribulation, surviving Jews are gathered in the wilderness for judgment. Believing Jews (wise virgins) are spared and enter the Millennial Kingdom in mortal bodies, while unbelievers (foolish virgins) are cast into hell. This fulfills Matthew 24:40, illustrating God's righteous separation and preparation for His kingdom.

The Trump administration has done various things to protect our safety, one of which includes meaningful border control policies. Such policies are helping to stop the free-flow of illegal drugs in the U.S. and keep illegal immigrants from committing very egregious crimes. Returning to Crosstalk with an update on this subject was Mark Krikorian. Mark is a nationally recognized expert on immigration issues serving as the executive director of Center for Immigration Studies. They are an independent, non-partisan research organization examining and critiquing the impact of immigration on the United States. He has testified numerous times before Congress and has published articles in many outlets. We're 10 months into the Trump administration and according to Mark, by the end of the year we could see as many as 800,000 deportations. In addition, we are at the lowest levels of encounters at the border since the 1960's, and while some individuals may be released on bond by an immigration judge, no one is being released into the country at the border. That's the good news. However, there are still issues to be noted and watched. For example, Mark also reported on the following: What is the current status of the border wall? What's the latest concerning the drug cartel tunnels? California's admittance of issuing 17,000 CDL licenses to foreign nationals. Why are some cities fighting the use of federal help to protect such areas? What about the children that went missing under the Biden administration? How have illegal aliens affected our healthcare and the SNAP program? Should we get out of the U.N. refugee treaty?

Our Christian Heritage goes "On Location" with Randy Melchert in Detroit, MI to learn the Hymn History of Stand Up, Stand Up For Jesus at the gravesite of Rev. George Duffield.

Much of the government shutdown is due to the failures of Obamacare (The Affordable Care Act), which was supposed to lower the cost of healthcare. Instead, such costs are skyrocketing. You may remember the numerous promises made when Obamacare was being touted such as: You can keep your plan. Unfortunately, many people lost theirs. We were also told we could keep our doctor, yet over 200,000 doctors opted out of the Obamacare exchange plans. Then there was the promise that your premiums would go down by $2,500 dollars, yet it's being reported that premiums went up by about 60% in the first four years and they continue to go up. On Thursday, November 6th, Wisconsin Senator Ron Johnson, Chairman of the Permanent Subcommittee on Investigations, held a hearing titled: Assessing the Damage Done by Obamacare. This broadcast featured comments from both sides of the debate which included four witnesses. Senator Johnson led off the debate with opening remarks. Citing a number of comparative statistics, he noted that there's no reason why healthcare costs should be running so much higher than the rate of inflation. Next to speak was Connecticut Senator Richard Blumenthal who, in opposition to the comments from Senator Johnson, said: "Let's be very clear why we're here. It is a Republican effort to destroy the Affordable Care Act. We're seeking to extend the healthcare tax credits past the end of the year. They make healthcare insurance affordable for millions of Americans who are right now going through the exchanges and trying to determine whether they can afford insurance."

Dalton began this tribute edition of Crosstalk, with the following from historian William Federer from his series, "How We Got Here": "On the 11th hour of the 11th day of the 11th month of 1918, WWI ended. Though the ceasefire, called armistice, was signed at 5am in the morning, it specified that 11 am would be the time the actual fighting would cease. Tragically, in the intervening 6 hours of fighting, an additional 11,000 more were killed. Following WWI (the war to end all wars), President Warren Harding, in 1921, had the remains of an unknown soldier killed in France brought to Arlington Cemetery to be buried in the Tomb of the Unknown Soldier. Inscribed on the tomb are the words: 'Here rests in honored glory an American soldier known but to God.'" "In 1926, President Coolidge began issuing proclamations honoring veterans every year and in 1938, the day became a legal holiday. In 1954, the name Armistice Day was changed to Veterans Day to honor all soldiers of all American wars. 4 million Americans served in WWI. 16 million served in WWII. Nearly 7 million served in the Korean War. Nearly 9 million served in the Vietnam War. From the first Gulf War till the present, 7.4 million men and women served in the military." Memorial Day honors those who died while serving, while Veterans Day honors living soldiers. This broadcast served to allow listeners to honor the latter for their efforts.
