Please pardon the odd opening of the program. The Great Betrayal is on. This is sickening and shameful. America's reputation is in the sewer. Morans don't go well with measles. ICE thugs torment a German tourist legally in the U.S. Whalehead Deadbear Brainworm's spokescreep quits.
"Morans. Ye have them always." Go, Hilary!

Morans can't help but say moran things every September 11th. It's as predictable as the phases of the moon. MAGATS are getting nasty in Virginia (what a surprise) and it touches a black man and a woman who's unashamed of her sexuality. Because of course. Marge calls for secession. We re-visit the 14th Amendment.
Twelve authors, twelve novels, one sizzlin' summer! What's not to love? I don't know about you, but usually, when someone says they're turnin' up the heat this summer, I picture someone who needs a nice padded room somewhere. This time, however... I'm all in. Literally. I mean, Lisa Phillips sent an email asking if I wanted to be a part of a twelve-author, three-box set series, and it was a no-brainer for me! With authors like Lisa, Sara Blackard, Liz Bradford, Cara Putman, Kari Trumbo, Jennifer Pierce, Katy Lee, Michelle Aleckson, Lynn Shannon, Rebecca Hemlock, and Emilie Haney, how could the series not be a heap of fun? Listen in to learn what to expect and to find out about fun giveaways coming your way! Note: links may be affiliate links that provide me with a small commission at no extra expense to you. Why Are Avid Suspense Readers Looking Forward to Summer Heat? Because Summer Heat offers a summer full of fast-paced stories that'll keep you fanning the pages of that book to find out what happens next! (read with the AC on maybe...) Many of our authors have set their books in the worlds that their readers are already familiar with. Lisa Phillips has hers in her Bedford County series. Mine is the prequel to The Agency Files, and so forth. So... if you don't know anything about an author or their series/world... well, you've got an inexpensive way to find out. Not only that, but these books aren't snacks. They're full-length (although shorter) novels that will both leave you satisfied and ready for more at the same time! The Summer Heat Series: Stay with Me Abandoned - Liz Bradford Police officer Zara Grant is new to Hazel Hill, and despite her attempts to keep people at arms-length, she's connected with the strong and steady, Officer Will Cooper. But how long will he stay around? Everyone else in her life leaves, why not him? Especially when her past creeps up on her in the form of a previous arrestee coming to town and making threats. Can she trust Will to stick around? And how serious are those threats? Will Cooper always dreamed of becoming a detective. Not that he'll admit that to anyone, especially Zara. Not when he's content enough being a uniformed officer instead. Why take the risk of failure? But when Zara finds out he's abandoned his dream, her own fears of abandonment rise up between them. Is this something they can overcome or will fear—and outside threats—destroy what they have? As the threats turn into a break-in at Zara's house while she's gone, she's left to wonder what the invader will do if he comes back? Can she trust Will to help protect her, or will he abandon her to face this alone? Ascending Hope - Sara Blackard Emmy's thirst for adventure takes her to new heights in Ascending Hope, a heart-stopping romantic suspense by Sara Blackard. As a product tester for a top mountaineering equipment company, Emmy's latest test is a perilous climb up a dangerous Alaskan mountain with her enigmatic boss, Bradley. As they face the sizzling heat and treacherous conditions, their attraction ignites, but the mountain has other plans. Will their love survive the deadly journey, or will their pasts come back to haunt them? Find out in this thrilling page-turner that's sure to leave you breathless. Runaway - Jennifer Pierce Ryan McGregor is on the run from a deadly family and hiding out in a small town thanks to extended family he's never met. Bethany Wilkinson always comes second but now she's number one on a hit list. Bethany will have to risk it all on a runaway and her faith in the plan God has for her if she's going to stay alive. And if Ryan can do the same, it might be the one shot he has to finally be free. Rodeo Sabotage - Kari Trumbo Jase Wheaton has one thing on his mind, a perfect 8-second ride—until someone in the crowd sends his bull into a fury. Twice. No one believes his life is in danger except the EMT who saved him. The clock is ticking before his final ride of the season, but will it be the last of his life? Everyone's a suspect when the threat could come from anyone in the crowd. Even his best friend might be his worst enemy. Through Every Danger Undertow - Lisa Phillips Selena is ready to retire from her career as a social media stunt star. After a disastrous breakup, one last job—on a cruise—will give her the cash to take charge of her future. Peter wants to make full operative at Vanguard Security. After breaking the law in his teens he needs to succeed at the straight and narrow, and that means keeping his personal feelings for Selena under wraps. When a dangerous foreign general and more than one spy prove they have other plans for both Selena and Peter, they have to band together to stay alive. Or they'll be sucked beneath the undertow. Swept Away - Michelle Aleckson California science teacher and ocean lover, Malani Davis, is only stepping in for another surf instructor. However, she's not sure this Minnesota deputy, Lukas Berglund, has what it takes to catch waves. Who shows up to the beach in cowboy boots? But when Luke saves her life, she realizes he's more than capable and accepts his help in her search for her foster sister. Besides, he won't be sticking around, so maybe she can keep guard over her heart, and they'll find the missing teen quickly. Instead, it will take the help of their friends and a whole lot of grit to face their worst fears and survive as they're swept away in a wave of danger. Fractured Memories - Lynn Shannon As a teen, Texas Ranger Felicity Capshaw witnessed a murder. The traumatic incident—and the accompanying amnesia—has affected her entire life. She reopens the cold case, but the investigation is cut short when she's assaulted and nearly killed. Detective Noah Hodge is no stranger to loss. He's buried his parents and his wife. All he wants is to raise his daughter and keep his hometown safe. When the killer targets Felicity, Noah commits to protecting her, even though each second in her presence makes him question why he's locked away his battered heart. As Felicity's memories return, the threats escalate. Can Noah help her uncover the truth? Or will the killer silence her forever? Lethal Inheritance - Rebecca Hemlock K-9 Officer Kelly Blithe is on the job when she discovers her brother Scott has been murdered. With her other brother Chris named as the chief suspect, Kelly is forced to trust a man she barely knows to solve the case. Detective Harry Miller's life was changed forever when a suspect attack left him scarred. After another murder case lands on his desk, he'll have to convince Kelly that her living brother really did commit this murder. Neither wants the attraction that quickly overrides their growing friendship. When they discover a massive inheritance is involved, they'll have to finish the work of a dead man to find out who killed Scott. Come What May Serial Heat - Emilie Haney Former cop turned Private Investigator, Clancy Sullivan, is on the case to find yet another missing girl. After his last investigation ended badly, he's determined this time will be different. Dispatcher and aspiring forensic artist Willa Martin won't give up the hope that her friend Anna will be found—alive. All clues point to the fact that she's run off, leaving Willa and her newfound faith behind, but Willa knows better. Following a lead in the drought-ridden wilderness of Washington State, Clancy stumbles upon a dead body unconnected to his case. Little does he know that when his 911 call connects to Willa, a chain of events is set into motion that will draw them toward one another but also toward a killer. Thrown together in a race against the clock, Clancy and Willa battle through wildfires and misdirection as they chase a killer through the heat of summer. Art of Deception - Cara Putman Eight years ago she ran to safety. Now Charlotte Montgomery's past has caught up with her. Artist Charlotte Montgomery lost everything eight years ago to protect her son. She's built a safe life to protect him, and now her past has caught up with her She'll do anything to bring down her ex. When an Italian crime family reappears in her life determined to make her participate in their money-laundering scheme, she's determined to end it even if it means pretending she's a willing participant. When Charlotte's past and present collide, it threatens everything she's built and it's a race to survive. Real Justice - Katy Lee Her days of hiding are over. A ransom note left in her apartment tells Christina Depalo that changing her name and hiding in the big city hadn't been enough to escape her dangerous family. The Morans have kidnapped her roommate, demanding Christina return to Georgia. But that will mean facing the cutthroat attorney Marcus Cartwright, a man she once loved but who only wanted to take down her family. Marcus had started a coalition with his friend to crack down on organized crime in Savannah. But when his friend loses his life in a supposed accident, nothing will stop Marcus from seeking justice, not even the Moran's prodigal daughter who left town twelve years ago. Nobody will derail him this time. But then Christina never was a nobody. Induction - Chautona Havig Someone wants her dead. Not happening on his watch. When Ramon Simon goes missing, the small town of Fairbury burns with rumors hotter than the sidewalk in July. They're certain he's either left his wife, or she killed him (not that they'd blame her). As the weeks pass and the police fail to find answers, things heat up more when Anna Simon disappears, too. If that's not strange enough, the chief of police orders his officers to leave Anna out of their investigation. As a new recruit into a secret protection service known only as The Agency to the few who know it exists, Keith Auger doesn't know what he's doing, but he's determined to do his new job well. But when he finds himself guarding a woman before he's fully trained, he already begins to doubt the wisdom of this career path. Pressure mounts as Keith tries to stay one step ahead of the men out to kill Anna and another step ahead of Anna who is determined to find answers no one will give her. Keith can't help but wonder: will his first assignment with The Agency be his last? Where's the best place to find more information about Summer Heat? You will walk the streets of Carmel, Indiana, a quiet, small town, visit its shops, and meet its neighborly people. Along the way, you will learn what it was like growing up in a large family in a small town during the 1950s and 1960s. Whimsical and, at times, knee-slapping tales guide you through childhood, teen years, early adulthood, and beyond. You get a peek at family dynamics and the struggles of an insecure boy's first encounters with romance. You also learn what it was like to be a journalist, a government economist, a parent, and a golf fanatic. The stories are warm, touching, and always funny. The people you meet, mostly based on the author's siblings, are friendly and fun-loving. The situations, based on real events and family lore, will keep you laughing. The author helps you see life through humor's prism. https://www.podserve.fm/w/yayadiamond
Morans! Everywhere! I'm entirely at a loss to fathom why people want to control what other people choose for entertainment. Not quite the same for 160 straight men in Polk County, Florida . . . And the DOJ agreed to WHAT?!
It was a fun week! We need to cherish these. Chad and Nate break it all down, including The Legend of Spencer Steer. Steer had a dream debut with the Cincinnati Reds this week...and he was probably only the second-best debut story of the week. We also pay tribute to The Colin Moran Era. Over too soon. The gang also answers the biggest question in Cincinnati sports right now: "Will we ever again experience love for a Reds squad like is permeating throughout Bengaldom right now?" MORANS!
Raphael Leshore has lived his entire life in the remote region of Samburu, Kenya. As a child, he walked for a day and a half – one way – to his boarding school, where he was introduced to Jesus. He spent his youth protecting his community as a Moran warrior and is now a young elder in his village (as well as a World Concern staff member), giving him a unique opportunity to share his faith and disciple other Morans and members of his community, whom he knows so well.
Morans! Manly morans! Morans in the sky! Toasted morans! Cranky old un-funny morans!
Only an hour today, due to a meeting I promised to attend, but that hour was rich in MAGATS n' Morans . . . but I repeat myself.

Morans! Joe Manchin owns the program. The only real question is whether he's genuinely as ignorant of history as he seems, or is it a cynical political act?
On this important episode I met weirdos in town(5:08). Kenya receives its first batch of vaccines and we play a little game called "predict the scandal" (9:10). Morans on parade . . . well, OK, more like single file, but still. Loren Bobble-head craves attention. Lincoln Project burns Ghouliani to the ground. MAGATS attack hospital. Beverly HIlls hairdresser who attacked the Capitol gets indicted.
Morans, morans, lots of morans. Definitely morans. MAGATS march and spread virus in DC. Marjorie Taylor Greene throws a maskhole hissy. Godzilla from Wasilla faceplants on Obama's remark that she led the "anti-intellectual" group of the GOP. Don't let your license plate get dirty in Texas. MAGATS hide infections in Minnesota. COVID Caligula has to cough up $7.9 million for his Wisco recount. SD Governor Kristi Noem signals she'll undermine any attempt to slow the spread of the Dondemic in her state.
Morans! Get the spray! Moscow Mitch McConnell is among, if not THE, most evil thing ever to occupy and office in the government of the United States . . . and that includes Richard Nixon. Trump's lawyers REALLY suck. Among other things, they've offered a random post-it note as evidence of voter fraud. Reminder: the Georgia run-offs are January 5, 2021. MAGAT truckers plan strike. This is because they are also morans. Yale scholar echoes things Dr Bill has been talking about for over a decade. Vaccine? What vaccine? After tomorrow, JusticeHandmaid will be one step closer to being a handmaid to taking healthcare away from tens of millions of Americans. We have $170 to go to finish Monday. All help is good help!
Morans on the move! Nashville, Atlanta, Kansas City, and soon . . . Washington, D.C. Masks are a "security blanket." Democracy gets a win in Pennsylvania. Don't be surprised by the program re-start an hour or so into things. There are reasons. I don't just do things. There are certain rules in Professional Broadcasting. One might even think some were, well, obvious, but . . .
Morans by the boatload, led by Ben Sassy of Nebrasky! He apparently thinks a SCOTUS confirmation hearing where millions of American lives hang in the balance is little more than a civics lesson for "confused eighth graders." Konsatooshunul Skoller Mike Lee brought his pet Coronavirus to the hearing for blow-and-tell. MAGATS prepare for armed presence during election. California Repiglickens caught setting up fake ballot drop-boxes. Georgians (state, not country) wait hours and hours and hours in line to cast an early vote. COVID Caligula flies off to a superspreader rally in Floriduh, says he's no longer contagious and ready to kiss people. SuperSpreaders in Atlanta and Nashville with more to come courtesy of bioterrorist Sean Feucht.
Morans! We got 'em! Tennessee COVIDiot QAnon MAGAT dies from disease he declared a "hoax." Speaking of "hoaxm," Nitwit Nero claims RBG's dying declaration was written by "Shifty Schiff." Sleazebag. Georgia congressman who's a lawyer and a Baptist gospel sharp slimes RBG because of course. Gaming out the potential scenarios for any hope the Dems may have of slowing the Hypocrisy Juggernaut to replace RBG.
Pirates go from having a worse wRC+ than the 2019 A's pitching staff, to scoring 24 runs on the Brewers, to last night being no hit by Lucas Giolito. The trade deadline has quickly approached us. Is there real potential for a trade involving the Pirates to happen? If so, who and for what return? Jim & DiNardo give their Wednesday rants. Lastly, we discuss the upcoming Cardinals Double Header as well as the 4 Game series vs the Brew Crew.
Morans assemble! Such was the clarion cry Saturday in Tulsa as people stayed away from Clorox Claudius' Coronapalooza in droves. Still, some stalwart Decepticonservatives showed up, about six thousand of them, to listen to a rambling diatribe that was the political equivalent of a lap dance by a syphilitic stripper. Coming home, he looked the part, disheveled, depressed, disheartened. Now, his lick-spittles are torn as to what to do about the fact that they, themselves, may have started a super-spreader event, with no less than eight staffers testing positive for the 'Rona and having been on the ground in Tulsa. Meanwhile, Florida Man don' wanna go t' th' Wally World a-wearin' of no mask. And Florida Man Governor wants to suppress the number of ICU beds being used and counted while his Surgeon General asks nicely that Floridians wear masks. Back here in Almost Level, South Carolina has become our leading cause of COVID-19 transmission in West Virginia.
Morans, morans everywhere, and not a MAGAT who can think! Illinois MAGAT moran wades through cheering throngs to file a suit against Gov. Pritzker to make him get more people all dead. Moran MAGAT in North Carolina who led the ReOpen NC Campaign tests positive for the Donrona Virus, then whines about having to quarantine. Georgia moves to re-open strip joints because if there's no lap dance, there ain't no feeedummm. Texas Governor begins re-opening. It's all just Fort Sumter with a virus. White-wing Boston blowhard says vaping bleach might work. Orange County, CA opens beaches, hordes of morans throng. Howard Stern says he wants all the MAGATS to drink bleach and get it over with.
There's almost too much to do justice with a brief description like this. Foremost, though, a single, simple word changed everything on Sunday. One word, uttered by George Stephanopoulos, accompanied by an utterly unconvincing "can't 'member" from a MAGAT and suddenly things make both more and less sense. With this gang, it's always the Nixon question: "What did he know and when did he know it." COVID19 is no different. Also, of course, the EVILgelicals have moved into full-on terrorism against our country. They're all over the place and they couldn't be more dangerous if they were wearing dynamite belts.
Why did we choose that name, and teaching on the doctrine of Sanctification. Brother Daniel Woods preaching at their convention. There is a Part Two of this sermon which will be posted soon.

In this episode, we hear another Kalos Story. Patti sits down with Matt and Laurel Moran to talk about their experience with Kalos. The Morans were instrumental in the early days of developing the Kalos curriculum at Seven Mile Road Melrose. Matt was on staff as pastor/elder and Laurel was among the first group of women to go through a year together with the Kalos content. Together, they are now leading Kalos Track at their church outside of Buffalo, NY. In their conversation with Patti they share some realities of leading together, as a married couple, and how they've adapted the Kalos content for their own unique make-up of women and church context.

"a tremendous abyss" [FINA] The BSI Manuscript series continues to churn out remarkable books on an annual basis. In 2015, we're pleased to see the manuscript for "The Empty House" printed, analyzed and opined in , edited by Robert Katz, BSI ("Dr. Ainstree"), Steven Rothman, BSI ("The Valley of Fear") and Andrew Solberg, BSI ("Professor Coram"). The trio of editors joined us for a discussion of how this project came about - including getting access to the MS from the famed in Philadelphia. The inimitable Dr. A.S.W. Rosenbach (who is most decidedly NOT a physician), rare book dealer and bibliophile, owned the original manuscript and it has remained with his collection in the museum and library. Of course, seeing the story in Sir Arthur Conan Doyle's own handwriting is illuminating - particularly as one can look at the corrections (or lack thereof) and get a sense of the author's thought process. Seeing that in light of Holmes's resurrection in "The Empty House" is even more thrilling. Contributors to this volume include Catherine Cooke, BSI ("The Book of Life"), who investigates the location of the Empty House, based on previous scholarship throughout the ages; Lyndsay Faye, BSI ("Kitty Winter") who contributes a short story; Russell Merritt, BSI ("The Trepoff Murder") with a look at the Col. Morans in film; Brent Morris on sleight of hand and card playing; Chris Redmond, BSI ("Billy") and Lindsay Colwell on the theme of resurrection; and more. In addition to discussing everything that went into this volume, we have a sneak preview of the next volume that Bob and Andy are working on together. While they don't yet have a title, the topic is certainly one that will attract a number of readers. Mental Exaltation We're pleased to bring you another entry in our "Mental Exaltation" quiz program, inspired by NPR's Wait Wait, Don't Tell Me! and written by IHOSE quizmaster Nick Martorelli. . "My mind," he said, "rebels at stagnation. Give me problems, give me work, give me the most abstruse cryptogram, or the most intricate analysis, and I am in my own proper atmosphere. I can dispense then with artificial stimulants. But I abhor the dull routine of existence. I crave for mental exaltation. In this episode, we welcome James O'Leary of Natick, Massachusetts to the show as a contestant. James has a harrowing triumverate of math questions to answer (do we detect the hand of Prof. Moriarty, former math tutor and Col. Moran's boss?). Listen to see how he did. We wrap up with our regular Gas-Lamp reading, this time taken from the General Editor's Preface from the BSI Manuscript Series.
