And, as it turns out, the biggest snitch of all.   Tony Mokbel is widely regarded as the organiser of Melbourne's methamphetamine business. And in 2006 he became Australia's most wanted man, escaping the country on a yacht bound for Greece. He was caught a year later, wearing what would become the most famous wig in Australian crime. Beside him through all of it was Nicola Gobbo. A prominent Melbourne lawyer she acted for many of the underworld, including Carl Williams. But unbeknown to them, she was simultaneously acting for another- Melbourne Police. Years of informing on her clients earned her the nickname Lawyer X and the police several high-profile collars. But she couldn't stay secret for long. The scandal rocked Australia. Criminals started appealing convictions, on the basis Gobbo's evidence was tainted. Including Mokbel, in court this month appealing his sentence for serious drug charges. On today's episode of the podcast, I have Aussie actor ‘Gyton Grantley' here to talk about his time on ‘The Traitors.' Which launched season 2 on ‘Network Ten' this week. 'Gyton' is best known for his portrayal of convicted murderer and drug trafficker ‘Carl Williams' on the hit Australian television show ‘Underbelly,' for which he was nominated for Most Outstanding Actor in a Drama Series and Most Popular Actor - winning the 2009 ‘Logie' Award for Most Outstanding Actor. Audiences were delighted to hear that ‘Gyton' joined ‘The Traitors' which see's everyday Aussies joined by some familiar faces taking on the popular Reality series. ‘The Traitors' features group of 24 contestants who move into a grand heritage hotel. Who work as a team to uncover who is a ‘traitor' and who is a ‘faithful.'  The show picked up a cult following last year with many incarnations all over the world falling in love with this exciting new format.  I will find out how ‘Gyton' was asked to join the show and if ‘Rodger Corser' had anything to do with it? We will unpack the first weeks twists and turns. Access to higher education courses in prison is about to get a lot better in Illinois. Sharon Varallo is the director of the Augustana Prison Education Program. Carl Williams, a tutor and advocate with the Illinois Coalition for Higher Education in Prison, was incarcerated, and tells Craig Dellimore that the education he received turned his life around.

On January 13, 1994, two men hijacked the car of three travelers at a gas station in Chicago, IL, killing Reginald Wilson and Felicia Lewis. Carl Williams was implicated in the crime by the two hijackers and eventually produced a confession after hours of abuse and coercion from detectives. Williams was convicted of first-degree murder and sentenced to life without the possibility of parole. On Sunday, Williams responded to a Tweet by Farrell in which he called out the QB's father Carl Williams for what he read as the elder Williams blaming the Oklahoma fan base for his son's decision to transfer to USC, incidentally the school Riley left the Sooners for the day after the regular season ended with a loss to Oklahoma State. “Reaction to this?
