In this new episode of PSA: The Mental Health Podcast, Izzy Baker sits down with Andrei D. Nicholes II — known to many as Mr. Duffy — for a powerful conversation about what it really means to stop living passively and start moving with purpose.Together, they break down why so many men get trapped letting life just “happen” instead of building strategy, setting boundaries, and partnering with God to shape their path. Andrei shares how growing up in Detroit shaped his resilience and why his parents kept him active, invested, and community-minded — lessons that still guide his work today as the founder of Duffy Enterprise, Just Create, and Kingdom Nights. This episode doesn't shy away from the spiritual truth: your goals mean nothing if they don't align with God's will. Izzy and Andrei reflect on Proverbs 16:3 and talk practical steps — refining your plans, seeking wisdom in Scripture, praying over every move, and staying humble and teachable when God redirects your path. They unpack why therapy, mentorship, and faith all work together to help men protect their mental health and become stable lights in dark places. For any man feeling stuck, distracted, or spiritually stale — this is your reminder that delays aren't denials, your dreams need discipline, and true legacy is built when you move with Him, not just for you.Become a supporter of this podcast: https://www.spreaker.com/podcast/p-s-a-the-mental-health-podcast--5520511/support.

In this episode, we hear from Klaus Lehtimaki and Peter Nicholes at our Launch 25 gathering, where they share insights on the vital DMM (Disciple-Making Movement) principles, referred to as “Raising The Seven Sails.” These principles are based on the teachings of movement leader and author, Chris Galanos. (If you missed it, check out our previous podcast series with Chris: Megachurch to Multiplication). While we cannot create a movement on our own—since it's ultimately the work of God—raising the sails makes space for His Spirit to fill and empower the work. Listen and be inspired and encouraged to raise your own sails for movement with others. Watch the video of this talk here. Questions for Reflection: As you listen or watch, reflect on the principles Klaus and Peter discuss, either individually or in a group, by considering these questions related to each of the Seven Sails: 1. Focus on God's Word "Honour God by being obedient to his Word or dishonour God by being disobedient." What steps are you or your team taking to engage with and learn from Scripture? How are you progressing in obeying what you discover in the Word? 2. Multiply Extraordinary Prayer "Desperate prayer occurs when the vision is bigger than what we can do ourselves." How are you increasing the intensity or depth of your prayer life? What steps are you taking to multiply prayer efforts for movements? "God does nothing except through prayer." 3. Cast Vision "It's not a one person dingy, it's not a two person boat, it's a ship. You need a team to get this done." What are two ways you've effectively cast vision? How are you finding believers (individuals, groups, leaders, or churches) to cast vision with? "There are 'believers of peace' who are dissatisfied in our churches but they don't know the pathway." 4. Train Believers "Vision is not enough. You have to give new disciples an avenue to be trained." What key principles and simple skills are you training others in? How are you inviting people to join in training? Can you share a recent experience where you trained believers to go out and disciple others? "It's a decluttering of the old to embrace the new." 5. Go Out Among the Lost “We become truly comfortable among the lost only when we spend time with them.” Who are you praying for or engaging with in your community? How are you intentionally relating to lost people in your everyday life? What time are you dedicating to your GOAL (Going Out Among the Lost)? Can you share an example of a spiritual conversation or a time you shared the gospel? 6. See Groups Start "In order to see a group start, we have to be among the lost to find the persons of peace." How do you encourage people to start a group? What core principles guide your discovery groups? What practices have helped sustain groups and guide them toward becoming churches? 7. Ongoing Coaching "Training isn't enough. If you don't stay in the game by getting coached, it all dies." What coaching do you have for your own growth? How do you coach others? Who might you invite into a coaching relationship (either in a group or one-on-one)? "We have elite athletes, but where are our elite Christians?" Equip Yourself to Raise the Sails: As you apply these essential practices, you'll be better equipped to catch the movement of God's Spirit and navigate challenges effectively.

It was a singular joy to close out the year in episode 85 with Tom Hunyady and Andy Nicholes of the 2Legs podcast as we discussed the McCartney '71 tapes, some real moments of what this work means to us when other things feel upside down, a State of the Blotto Union, The George RR Martins of New England, New Year's Blotto Resolutions (including Stamos), why mistakes happen on the list, the Blotto Mono Box Set, couples counseling for podcast hosts, the mandatory Thanksgiving/Last Waltz chat, the Backbeat soundtrack, the Beatles early bongo obsession, Shea Stadium notes, if McCartney actually drove a boat or started a campfire in his Anthology interviews, the first time Ringo hit a mystery word for us, the best day of McCartney in the studio, Andy Nicholes calling "Yesterday" the worst McCartney Beatles song ever, a lot of talk about our mutual friend Sam Whiles, and the McCarntey barn burner "I'm Down."The interstitial music you heard between our intro and the welcome of the 2Legs gents is an original Scotty C. composition entitled "Elbows." Once you listen too the episode, you will understand why this was a perfect place to point that out.As always, you can find Team Blotto Beatles on Instagram (@blottobeatles) and Twitter / X (@blottobeatles), by emailing us (blottobeatles@gmail.com), or on the web (blottobeatles.com). Though the Lennon & McCartney songwriting team found it harder and harder to truly write songs together from scratch as they got busier and busier, with "Baby's In Black," they were able to get "nose-to-nose" and write something truly different from what was expected at the time. A 3/4 time waltz with a melancholy lyric (possibly inspired by Astrid Kirchherr's mourning for Stu Sutcliffe), the first song they recorded for the Beatles For Sale album was a far cry from the uptempo Beatlemania rave ups of A Hard Day's Night or the Cavern-era screamers on their first two LPs. The song shows tremendous growth and bravery for daring to do the unexpected, and gives a brilliant example of John and Paul's best Everly Brothers-esque harmonies. It's a song they were very proud of, as evidenced by the fact that that once it was out, it stayed in their live show until the end of their touring days. Even in the jaded-slugging-it-out-un-enthusiastically shows of 1966, John and Paul seem to genuinely delight in being so close on one mic and singing in harmony for the entire song. It's a real gem that likely doesn't get it's due since it's a waltz in the 3rd song slot on what some consider their "worst" album. This week, we close the circle on the RTB X 2Legs meet up by welcoming Andy Nicholes to the show! After having his co-host Tom Hunyady on the last episode, it only seemed appropriate to have Andy on as well. We love 2 Legs, and Andy was great on the panels we saw him on at the Fest for Beatles Fans, so we're big fans. This week I connect with the brilliant, wickedly humorous, and gorgeous soul Natasha Nicholes. As the founder of #WeSowWeGrow, a Chicago based community garden and nonprofit organization, she is committed to teaching people, families, and communities how to come together through farming and agriculture. As a Black woman who's passionate about urban homesteading, agriculture, travel, and education, everything she does is an act of defying expectations. With that in mind, she's dedicated her life and career to adding a much-needed voice to conversations about issues in each of those industries as a leader, speaker, and writer. On her blog, Houseful of Nicholes, she talks about it all, while also documenting my family's domestic and international travel adventures. We also talk about how experiencing grief, processing that grief, and finding room for joy IS the human experience and ultimate expression of love. It also happens to be how we eventually connected in the Twitter streets; through a mutual respect and adoration of a certain larger than life actor, activist, and awesome human.

Savannah "Sailor Crafty" Nicholes Savannah has always embraced her eccentric side in hopes that other eccentrics would have someone to feel comfortable around. A daydreamer, INFJ and "serial hobbyist", she is constantly switching mediums to help her bring intangible dreams into tangible reality. Known as the Dinosaur Girl in elementary school, she could be found writing poetry, reading fantasy books, doodling dragons in her notes, collecting figures and pretending with her friends in the front yard. She learned to play music on an old trombone that her father had in a bumper sticker-encrusted case and still plays in the local city band. She also discovered that she loved Japanese animation and culture and that has been a large influence in her artistic endeavors. In college she was introduced by a friend to cosplay and conventions. Cosplay is one of her favorite forms of expression as it can touch on every medium, including acting, sewing, 3D printing, sculpting, electronics, painting, puppetry and everything in between. She has won several awards at local conventions and always has something new to debut to keep it fresh! Savannah is a married, enthusiastic mom that feels she is just as much a kid as her two young boys. When they are both in school full time in the upcoming year, she plans on launching a clothing brand, Banoonios Studios, and Vanna V., an accessories brand where she can share some of her colorful visions with the world. Both brands are based on nicknames given to her by her pro musician, thrill-seeking father and go-getter, animal-loving mother. Savannah loves encouraging artists of all types and feels that an artist should always make art for themselves first and foremost. IG: @sailorcrafty26
