Great Moments in Weed History w/ Abdullah and Bean

Richard Lee's life changed forever when he slipped on a catwalk while setting up the lights for an Aerosmith concert, suffering a spinal injury that left him paralyzed from the waist down. A Texas native raised by conservative Republican parents, Richard would fight to educate his family, his state, and ultimately the entire country about medical cannabis. Eventually, he transformed an eight-block stretch of his adopted home town so thoroughly that it came to be known, affectionately, as Oaksterdam. Richard’s empire included two cannabis coffeeshops, a medical cannabis dispensary, a gift shop, his political headquarters, and the 30,000 square foot main campus of Oaksterdam University, the country’s first trade school dedicated to training people for careers in the legal cannabis industry. He then put up his own money to run a state-wide marijuana legalization initiative in California. Not long after, the Feds came to shut him down. And the city of Oakland rose up in his defense. Isaac discusses potential growing pains as testing and regulation may stagnate the flow of product initially. He believes it will eventually untangle into a healthy and lucrative system. The laboratory element to creating a product that is pure is crucial to all patients, and especially those with pulmonary illnesses. We then continue our discussion with Alex Soria, a graduate of the remarkable Oaksterdam University in Oakland, CA. Alex is now active on the front lines of Pennsylvania's imminent acceptance of cannabis. This equates to easier access for patients who might benefit from specific strains. The PA area currently works in a 6 zone system that carefully monitors how many dispensaries are permitted in each locale. The template, perhaps, is a good way to begin as they aim to conform to demand while assuming control of the unknown.

Tonight as your pillow grows softer, your mind will grow numb as I join an old man in his basement to look at his secret candy isle. Put stranger danger aside for the real threat is the candy companies and some sort of war. Sweet words like cocoafallout will fog your brain and sleep will come sooner than the conclusion...ideally. What does this have to do with a candy war???? I needed help so I drew another card...which was weird because I had already mentioned "Indy" and "Goonies" seeing we were below the earth...but the card did rescue the story...giving me the twist I needed to at least find a good point to break the tale into two.
