Today, we take it for granted that you can buy a home pregnancy test at the pharmacy. Before the end of the 1970s, this was not the case. Then along came Margaret Crane, a young designer working for a pharmaceutical company. Looking at the rows of pregnancy tests in the lab one day in 1965, she thought, “Well, women could do that at home!” But Crane faced an uphill battle to convince the pharmaceutical companies, the medical community, and conservative social leaders that at-home pregnancy testing was safe and necessary. This podcast first aired in 2014, when Margaret Crane's role in the development of the home pregnancy test was eventually recognized. Almost 10 years later, Crane's experience remains relevant as women continue to fight for their reproductive rights. Debbie Solaris is an ET contactee, interdimensional traveler, and galactic historian. After a fateful extraterrestrial contact experience a few years ago, Debbie awakened to her true star lineage and higher calling. Through her ancestral connection with the Akashic Records, she has been receiving downloads of galactic historical information and universal spiritual knowledge ever since. All of her disbelief changed, however, when in 2012, Debbie had a couple of very intense out-of-body experiences where she found herself in the interior of a huge Arcturian mothership and saw herself interacting and communicating with Arcturian and Pleiadian extraterrestrials, the very ones she previously didn't believe existed. After her visits with the Arcturians onboard their ship, Debbie found that her extrasensory perception had increased exponentially and that she was getting frequent “downloads” of information, mostly on “stuff that I never knew about or would have any exposure to from my schooling during my childhood and college years. She was starting to have visions and old memories resurface about ancient galactic events, stuff that was way older than anything in Earth's history.___________________PODCAST CHAPTERS00:00 - Debbie Solaris Intro03:13 - Encountering Souls from the Future08:15 - The Yael and Asasani: Future Human Hybrids13:26 - Debbie's Galactic Historian Role & Creation Story15:30 - The Universe's Story Begins in Andromeda18:21 - Creation of the Milky Way & Lyra System20:05 - Earth's Return to the Original Human Template25:07 - The Draconians' Origin Story27:48 - Dragons and Mythical Creatures on Earth30:09 - The Role of Elementals in the Universe36:05 - Earth's Ascension & Return to Its Original Template38:09 - Debbie's Awakening and ET Contact 44:22 - Learning About Earth's Illusionary Reality48:22 - Making Contact with Galactic Family51:35 - Service to Humanity as a Path to Connection54:12 - Setting Intentions in the Akashic Records01:04:55 - Lessons from Atlantis and Lemuria 01:09:09 - Advanced Technology of Ancient Civilizations01:14:06 - The Role of Light and Dark in Ascension01:18:32 - Personal Reading: Emilio's Akashic Records01:22:48 - Emilio's Star System Connections01:25:29 - Elemental Beginnings in Lyra01:30:11 - Connection to Shamanism and Community01:34:22 - Emilio's Connection to Lions and Lyra01:35:48 - Navigating New Earth Experiences01:37:48 - Star Genetics and Their Impact on Earthly Life01:40:54 - Integrating Star Knowledge into Modern Life01:42:49 - Galactic Akashic Training01:45:21 - The Final Trio01:48:01 - The Time Capsule Question___________________Guest: Debbie Solaris, Akashic Records ReaderWebsite | https://www.debbiesolaris.com/Training & Webinars | https://www.debbiesolaris.com/trainingsEvents | https://www.debbiesolaris.com/eventsInstagram | https://www.instagram.com/debbiesolaris/YouTube |  @debbiesolarisgalactichistorian  Host: Emilio OrtizInstagram | https://www.instagram.com/iamemilioortiz/Subscribe to YouTube Channel | @EmilioOrtiz Watch Emilio's latest series on 4biddenknowledge TV l https://bit.ly/AwakenThe6thSense___________________Special Offerings to Support the Show:✦ Make a One-Time or Recurring Donation on PayPal

In Episode 2 of “Exposed”  from our friends at San Francisco Public Press, we explore a little-known chapter in San Francisco's nuclear era: human experiments carried out to assess the health effects of radiation. Scientists from the Naval Radiological Defense Laboratory, located at the Hunters Point Naval Shipyard, designed and executed at least 24 experiments that involved gathering data from humans — in some cases, injecting test subjects with radioisotopes or having them ingest fluids laced with trace amounts of radioactive materials. Even football players from the San Francisco 49ers were enrolled as test subjects in these so-called tracer studies. We hear from military veterans who were sent on a mysterious mission to spread radioactive substances onto rooftops at an Army base near Pittsburg, Calif., for an experiment the radiation lab played a role in designing. Some recount experiences of witnessing nuclear bomb blasts in the Nevada desert. We also examine a national pattern of human radiation experiments revealed by Eileen Welsome, the author of a Pulitzer Prize-winning investigation, who shined a light on similar practices conducted by government facilities, hospitals and other institutions.   Featuring: Eldridge Jones, served in the military and was part of Operation Stoneman; Merle Votaw; a Navy veteran who participated in Operation Stoneman II; Eileen Welsome, author of "Plutonium Files"; Holly Barker, Anthropologist and professor at the University of Washington who studied the Marshall Islands. Today we present the first half of a two-part radio documentary from our friends at SF Public Press, “Exposed,” opening a window into the little-known history of the Hunters Point Naval Shipyard. The sprawling abandoned naval base, in San Francisco's southeast waterfront Bayview neighborhood, is currently the site of the city's largest real estate development project. The base played a key role in the Cold War nuclear era, when it housed a research institution known as the Naval Radiological Defense Laboratory, which studied the human health effects of radiation. In Episode 1 of the podcast, we trace the radioactive contamination found in the shipyard soil today back to its origins, with nuclear bomb testing in the Marshall Islands. We also hear from environmental justice advocates, including one who led a health biomonitoring survey revealing that nearby residents have toxic elements stored in body tissues that match the hazardous chemicals of concern identified at the shipyard. Featuring: Ahimsa Porter Sumchai, community advocate and medical doctor Michelle Pierce:, Executive director of Bayview Hunters Point Community Advocates Leaotis Martin, resident of Bayview Raymond Tompkins, community advocate, chemist and former member of the Hunters Point Shipyard Restoration Advisory Board Daniel Hirsch, president of Committee to Bridge the Gap; Derek Robinson; Navy representative. What the hell is up? This week, author, researcher and abductee Alan Steinfeld joins me to talk all things extra terrestrials. Who are they? Why are they here? And should we be afraid? Alan describes how his love of science fiction as a child turned into reality when he was abducted by aliens in Arizona. Decades of research, conversations with others who've had similar experiences, cattle mutilations, crop circles, uncovering hidden government files, and UFO sightings have led him to one undeniable conclusion: The Aliens are here. But why? His book, "Making Contact" explores humanity's profound connection with extraterrestrial life, the implications of their presence, and how we can prepare for a future shaped by these extraordinary encounters. In this episode, I challenge Alan to reflect on the parallels between the experiments aliens conduct on humans and the ones we perform on non-human animals. If we wouldn't want it done to us, should we be doing it to them? Enjoy the episode!

Without thinking too much the answer would always be a resounding hell yes! But is there such a movie? Who would dare create such a Frankenstein mashup of all the things the FM3 loved as children of the 1980's? Sure enough there is such a flick, a literal blender spilling over with nostalgia and maybe a teaspoon of failure. That movie is 1985's "Making Contact" and the Forever Midnight boys are forever blown away that this bootleg messterpiece was ever made. We're closing out the year with an episode from our friends at Making Contact: As graduation approached this year, students around the country began protests after calls for divestment from Israel were initially ignored by university leadership. The campus encampments were met with physical violence and the mainstream press dismissed the students' demands as naive and immature. But, it turns out that there's a lot we should be asking about college endowments. We take a look at what an endowment is and how they're invested. Then we learn why transparency around the endowment (and divestment!) might actually benefit the entire college community. We talk to Kelly Grotke, a financial researcher from Pattern Recognition, a research collective focused on financialized higher education. And, with Andrea Pritchett, we look at the links between the encampments today, and those from the 80s, when students protested South African Apartheid. Tonight, The Light Gate welcomes author, researcher and experiencer Kathleen Marden to the show! Kathleen Marden's insatiable interest in UFOs and ET contact began in 1961, when her aunt and uncle Betty and Barney Hill had a close encounter and UFO abduction in New Hampshire's White Mountains. As a family member, Kathleen gained firsthand knowledge of Betty's and Barney's UFO encounter on the day they arrived home and two days later she, her parents, and siblings visited the Hill's home. She has devoted years to painstaking investigation of the Hills' anomalous events and archival research on their UFO abduction case. As the trustee of Betty's estate, she selected files from Betty's personal archival collection for a permanent collection at the Milne Special Collections Library, UNH Library, University of New Hampshire, Durham, NH. You will find her case study of the evidence in her book with Stanton Friedman, “Captured! The Betty and Barney Hill UFO Experience” (Updated in 2021). Since 1991 she has volunteered for the Mutual UFO Network in various positions such as Director of Field Investigator Training and Founder/Director of MUFON's Experiencer Resource Team. Over a ten-year period, Kathleen expanded her ERT team from three members to forty-five trained, seasoned specialists and attracted PhD and MD psychological and research consultants. Additionally, she sat on the Edgar Mitchell Free Advisory Board. In this period, she worked on three studies on nearly 5,000 experiencers (Marden-Stoner, Edgar Mitchell FREE, MUFON ERT). On today's Making Contact, our friends from the podcast, Kerning Cultures, bring us “Black Panthers in Algeria.” It's the story of when Elaine Mokhtefi landed in newly independent Algeria in the early 1960s and quickly found herself at the center of a special period in the country's history, at a time when Algiers welcomed liberation groups from across the world – earning a reputation as the “Mecca of revolution." In this unlikely setting, Elaine moved in the same circles as world famous radicals, ragtag political parties, spies and military leaders. And she became an unlikely sidekick to one of the most iconic liberation groups of our time, just as it was beginning to fall apart.  Credits - Kerning Cultures: This episode was produced by Deena Sabry and Alex Atack, and edited by Dana Ballout.
