Nach Wochen von GPU-Releases endlich wieder E-Autos! Mercedes erreicht beim EQS mit einem Quasi-Feststoffakku-Prototyp auf Gel-Polymer-Basis eine Reichweite von etwa 1000 Kilometern WLTP anstelle von 800 Kilometern mit einem konventionellen Akku, eine Steigerung von 25 Prozent. Der neue Mercedes CLA EQ hingegen ist das erste Modell auf der neuen Plattform "Mercedes Modular Architecture" und soll mit bis zu 800 Volt Spannung laden können. VW stellt mit dem ID.Every1 ein Konzeptauto für die Preisklasse unter 20.000 Euro vor. Hauptproblem: Es soll erst 2027 auf den Markt kommen. Ganz ohne PC-Hardware kommen wir dann doch nicht aus: Es gibt weitere Leaks zu kommenden Modellen der Einstiegs-/unteren Mittelklasse Nvidia RTX 5060 (Ti) und AMD Radeon RX 9060 (XT). Und mit dem AMD Ryzen 9 9950X3D ist die derzeit stärkste Consumer-CPU erschienen, die kompromisslose Anwendungsperformance mit fast kompromissloser Gaming-Performance (mit Einschränkungen) kombiniert. (Weihnachtswoche, Tag 8) Pixelkino ist ein seit 2023 laufender Podcast von und mit Heinrich Lenhardt und Christian Genzel. Das Thema einer jeden Folge ist immer ein bekannter Film und die dazugehörige Spielumsetzung oder andersherum – bekanntes Spiel und dazugehörige Filmumsetzung. Mit dem Start von Staffel 3 wechselte das Pixelkino für mindestens eine Staffel (6 Folgen) ins Stay-Forever-Portfolio und wird exklusiv zweimonatlich für unsere Unterstützer und Unterstützerinnen auf Patreon/Steady ausgestrahlt. Das ist immer neues Material, keine Wiederveröffentlichung bisheriger Folgen. Diese Folge hier, zu Terminator, ist aber bereits früher im Unterstützer-Feed von Pixelkino erschienen und wird heute, Weihnachten und so, erstmals "öffentlich" - sowohl hier als auch im offenen Feed von Pixelkino. Der Film: The Terminator (1984) von James Cameron. Das Spiel: The Terminator (1991) von Julian LeFay/Bethesda Softworks. Ein Terminator mit steirischem Akzent kommt aus der Zukunft, um die Geburt eines Helden der Menschheit zu verhindern. Mit kleinem Budget inszenierte James Cameron einen großen Actionklassiker, dessen erste Spieladaption verblüffte: Bethesda Softworks forderte die bescheidene PC-Hardware des Jahres 1991 mit einer offenen 3D-Welt. Wahlweise als Kyle Reese oder Terminator erkunden wir Los Angeles, um Sarah Connor zu beschützen bzw. zu terminieren. Die SkyNet-Sachverständigen vom Pixelkino melden sich aus dem Tech-Noir-Vorführraum, um Filmvorlage und Spielumsetzung miteinander zu vergleichen.
